Best cooking class in Phuket!

Everything was absolutely amazing. Pick up was on time. Gigi has such a great sense of humour. The food was so yummy. By far the best Pad Thai I’ve had so far. Would highly recommend doing this if you’re looking for a fun wholesome thing to do. We did the market tour as well, could taste fresh Thai fruit and buy all the spices for really good price.

This was such a nice experience. VJ has had the cooking class for over 14 years (2024) and is clearly an experienced chef and teacher. The class was decently fast paced as all prep work was mostly done by the team prior to us cooking. So we only had to cut things to pieces, grind the curry paste with our pestle and mortar and cook the dishes at the stove. We made 3 different courses ourselves and collaborated on the dessert: Mango sticky rice. We brought our 9 month old in a stroller which they accommodated very well. Everyone from the staff was excited to sy hi to the little fella and he had a great experience as we also had. This is a perfect class to do if you want to get into Thai oriental cooking at home. As a bonus VJ taught us about common replacements for some of the harder to get ingredients in western supermarkets

Cooking class in Phuket

Such a great experience with Gigi and the team! We made 4 dishes which were very simple and delicious! Also learnt a lot about Thai ingredients! Definitely would recommend.

One of my favorite meals in Phuket

Every dish was absolutely amazing!! They made things very easy and accessible, and I think I will be able to replicate the recipes at home in the US! The class is in an air conditioned facility and we were lucky to have a class with just 1 other couple. Our courses were Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, curry over rice, and sticky rice!

During my trip to Phuket, I signed up for this cooking class. It turned out to be the best thing in the tour. Facilitator and other support staff were simply excellent. It is so much fun attending this session. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is an excellent cooking class, a tour to the markets with hands on information and knowledge and taste of local products. Learn how to prepare and cook 4 authentic Thai dishes. It's tasty, fun, and very friendly. Week done VJ.

Fantastic hands on experience

Amazing cooking class and experience! We were picked up from our hotel, taken to the market and had a tour in the market to try the different ingredients we will cook. We then prepared the ingredients and was taken step by step how to cook. Felt thoroughly looked after and was a fab experience! Would highly recommend!

Great staff and experience!

So happy we ended our trip in Thailand with this tour. Everything is extremely efficient and you pack in so much cooking in a few hours. We enjoyed the market tour and learning about common Thai foods/ingredients, but if you are budgeting for time don’t think you have to include it. The cooking class itself was extremely fun for beginners and regular chefs and the food was amazing!!!

Lovely cooking experience

Such a great experience! The team brought us to the market to taste fruits and preview veggies for cooking. A small but sweet market, love it. Back to the kitchen, Chef VJ was sweet and thought us step by step. The team prepared most of the stuff for us so it was easy to follow. The crew was also passionate and encouraging. Highly recommended for Thai cooking beginners

It was an amazing experience! Highly recommended! The main ingredients were prepared in advance and no time spent on boring preparation. The staff is super friendly and helpful! We were preparing the food with super fresh ingredients. The place itself is very cozy and clean. A lot of space for cooking

VJ Cooking Class

This class was as advertised. We prepared Red Curry, Tom Yum Guy, Phad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice. The market tour was fun too. My favorite part was preparing the red curry paste with the giant mortar and pestle.

The perfect cooking experience

Absolutely fantastic, everything was perfectly prepared. All ingredients were provided in the right amount/quantity and explained in detail . We just had to cut and cook them following the teacher’s clear instructions in perfect English. In other words: no time was wasted on unnecessary issues. Amazing experience you are very active and you prepare and eat your own dishes. The experience starts from the market with a delicious fruits offered, than a tour of the market to explain the ingredients and then the cooking part! Love it
