Yes Phuket can be a real Paradise! This is a long essay but I am more that pleased to write it. Phuket might be a sunbather's paradise, but for folks like me who crave adventure under the water and excitement on top of it, SSS Phuket blew me away. it's literally a playground for people who want to try new things and push their limits a bit. Here's why they gets a perfect 5-star rating from me, especially for adventure seekers who aren't super experienced (like me!), and why it's more than just a pretty place! The awesome service started before I even got there. I have to give a big thumbs up to Jean, who helped me book everything. Talking to them was super easy, and they answered all my questions with a smile. They explained all about the activities I wanted to do (discover scuba diving, a freediving course called Molchanovs Wave 1, and a surfing lesson) and even helped me pick a package that fit my time and what I wanted to try. I signed up for a "Discover Scuba Diving to Racha Yai island: trip. The instructor Olivier was super clear and patient, which calmed my nerves before I even jumped in. Underwater, it was like a whole new world! Colorful coral reefs were everywhere, and there were all sorts of fish swimming around. Feeling weightless was both exciting and peaceful. This scuba diving trip made me want to learn even more about what's hidden beneath the waves. This trip was so fun! The boat is pretty spacious, you have plenty of space under the shade or exposed if you want to perfect your tan! Breakfast and lunch were prepared by the onboard chef and it was very tasty. Molchanovs Wave 1 Course Freediving Next, I challenged myself with the "Molchanovs Wave 1" freediving course. This special training pushed me to my physical and mental limits in a good way. Learning to control my breathing and stay underwater for longer was empowering, and gliding through the water with ease felt like magic. The instructor Florian was top-notch and super supportive, making this an incredible learning experience that helped me discover hidden strengths within myself. I am now totally hooked to freediving. Surfing: Catching My First Wave! Finally, I took a 1.5-hour surfing lesson. The instructor Chulee was really fun, she was patient and explained everything about surfing in a way that was easy to understand. Catching my first wave was a moment I'll never forget. The feeling of riding the power of the ocean was incredible! SSS Phuket provides the perfect place to learn surfing with great instructors. I understand now why surfers never really quite surfing! My only regret was that i found out too late that they were also providing a surf camp package including accommodation right next to to the beach with sea view rooms ! I realised that it was even a better value that my hotel room arrangement. If only I had known earlier, I would have opted for the surf camp package without hesitation. Must try, very relaxing and exciting at the same time

One of the best experiences that my boyfriend and myself have so far in our life. Very smooth process regarding picking up and driving back to hotel Experience excellent !! Amazing . A big thank you and applaud to our diving instructor Ned . He explained everything very clearly . I got scared initially however Ned guided me through my stressful moment so gentle and he managed to calmed me down and relax me. A massive thank you to that guy!! Without him I wouldn't have been able to actually go through the diving. My boyfriend absolutely love it. I totally recommend this excursion. The crew in the boat also very friendly and helpful. We are actually thinking to do diving in every holiday that we book from now on after that amazing experience. Thank you Ned for everything!!!!

Absolute highlight of our time in Thailand!

This was an absolute highlight of our time in Thailand! As inexperienced divers, our guide Pommé took the time to give us a thorough review of safety procedures and good practices. She is very experienced underwater and provides a calming energy for new divers. I had such a wonderful experience that I decided to come back the following days to complete my certification with Pommé! Would highly recommend this tour for divers at all levels!

This was one of the best experiences. Our guide, Pomme, made us feel comfortable and helped get rid of nerves before we got in the water. Everything was explained and easy to understand. Our guide took heaps of videos for us to capture our experience for great memories. Highly recommend this tour, even for beginners. Would do this tour again for sure.

Great first diving experience

While the trip got off to a rough start with the transfer van being later and overfull, and with one of the instructors being late, the diving experience itself warrants 5 stars. Our instructor Ned was excellent. The briefing, preparation and the diving itself was great. We are two 50 year olds who are confident in the water, but have never dived. We loved it and are thinking of getting certified. The photos and video that Ned took was also great. Thanks to SSS for the opportunity.

We felt safe the entire time. The crew of the ship was (as you would expect from the lovely Thai people) helpful and kind. This tour would be nothing without our instructor Pomme. She is competent and very experienced, she explained everything in details and even followed up in the evening, made sure my husband felt good. This tour is highly recommended for first time divers. Diving and experience wise it was perfect. As for the food and the boat it is mediocre. Again, special thanks to Pomme, brilliant woman.

We had an amazing experience with Racha Yai Private Scuba Diving! Booking was a breeze as they reached out via WhatsApp to arrange everything swiftly. The staff was exceptional - professional, calm, and ensured our safety and comfort throughout. Our dedicated instructor, Ohn, was lovely and even captured stunning underwater pictures for us, definitely worth the additional cost. The inclusion of breakfast and lunch added to the overall convenience. Equipment was in excellent condition, and we received thorough briefings before each dive. While the tour is on the pricier side, the quality of service and the incredible marine life we encountered made it worth every Baht. Highly recommend for a memorable diving experience!

Amazing experience, our guide, Ned, who is a very nice person and always be gentleman. He gives a professional course that lead us diving safely. I really appreciate that he gives fully patience and understanding! Also very nice arrangement about the hotel pick-up. Definitely take his course again if possible!

Unforgettable experience

My partner and I did this trip on Tuesday the 26th of March. This was most definitely the highlight of our whole visit to Phuket. If we’re in the area again, we would absolutely make sure to rebook this tour! When our group arrived everyone was given a guide. We were paired with Ohn, she was simply amazing, super friendly and made sure that we were comfortable and calmed any nerves that we might have had to start with. Ohn gave really clear instructions and made sure to check on us during the dive. We felt completely safe the entire time and got to see tons more fish and coral than we had expected. Ohn also took incredible photos throughout the trip! Ohn also made sure my partner was okay as she gets really bad travel sickness quite easily, and gave her sickness tablets as well and even lent her towel as we had forgotten ours - she really looked after us both! We loved the tour and our guide, who made a very daunting experience feel incredibly safe. We would 100% recommend this experience, especially if you’re lucky enough to be given Ohn as your guide.

Fun in Phuket

The boys and I book this trip from home and my expectations were not high. But from the pick up point to the drop off was an awesome experience. One instructor per every two divers. Thanks to ON and Woody for making this a memorable day trip. Woody’s instructions were so clear and he made me feel at ease at all times. My two boys had so much fun with On underneath from making circles with the water to funny poses. Beautiful photos to remember this day. But all the credit to the two best instructors- Woody and On! Felt like we made friends for life. They called us by name through out this whole journey and took personal care of us throughout. Thank you Woody and On!

It was the first time...

It was the first time scuba diving for my friends and I. It was a mix of excitement and nerves, but thanks to the friendly guidance of monitors Oliver and Ned, it turned out alright. We went underwater two times for more than a 1,5h. The option to buy underwater pictures for 1000 bahts per person was there, the pictures and videos turned out really nice. The food on the boat was ok. Despite my fear, the experience turned out to be really enjoyable, largely thanks to the supportive atmosphere created by Oliver and Ned.

Incredible experience!

What an incredible experience this was! - We have never done scuba diving before, so it was a little daunting leading up to the day, but our instructor did a great job of calming our nerves and took time to explain the entire process from beginning to end. After the first 10 minutes, we both grasped the correct technique, and we were off! The day consisted of two 45-minute dives, and both were great, with the second offering a greater depth with more to see. If we visit Phuket again, we will be sure to rebook!

Perfect tour for a beginner diver

I'd never tried diving before, and this was the perfect tour for me! You get collected from your accommodation, taken to the pier to get on the boat. Served a light breakfast and coffee on the boat. It takes 1.5hrs to get to the location. You then get a very detailed explanation of all the diving equipment, and how to dive, etc. The instructor was very knowledgeable, I had felt a little nervous but they completely put us as ease. You then get to the diving location, and the instructor let's you get in the water and start your descent at your own pace. You get to do two dives for about 30-40 mins each. Then you're served a buffet lunch onboard, and have another hour or so to swim and snorkel, before travelling back to Phuket. There's refreshments available during this time as well. Huge thanks to Olivier our instructor for being so patient and supportive. Tour is well run and good value for money.

AMAZING!

It was one of the highlights of my trip. Our instructor On was absolutely AMAZING!! Patient, nice and funny. She made sure we were comfortable the whole day and took amazing videos and photos of the dives. Amazing food too! Best decision EVER

Great experience. Ootdy is the best :)

We did two dives for around 45-50 minutes in two beautiful spots. Seen massive jellyfishes, lots of different fishes, sea snakes and many incredible corals. We have had a great opportunity to spend this time and dived with our amazing instructor Ootdy :) highly recommended.

Amazing instructor, OOTDY! He’s very experienced and took very good care of me as a beginner. Under the sea, the view is amazing! Recommended no matter you’re experienced or fun diver! Great instructors

Great experience. Quality of instructors was superb. There was one instructor for every two or three students and level of instruction and skill were excellent. My instructor was Ootdy who was always a step ahead making sure the experience was great. Reading other reviews my impression is that they have many high quality instructors. Convenient hotel pickup, well planned logistics, and great instructors makes it easy to recommend. No prior dive experience needed, just comfort in water.

Best thing to do

Had an amazing dive, it was probably the best thing I’ve done in Thailand so far. I would highly recommend as the coach was also very friendly

Five star service from beginning to end

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Shortly after booking the excellent communication started with Jean through WhatsApp. He made sure I had everything I needed and was prepared for my trip. The day of My instructor Ohn was a SUPERSTAR and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way and very patient (this is only my second time diving, and the other person in my group had never been). Even my driver to and from the hotel was super friendly and went out of his way to communicate with me to and from the dive. The food was amazing and they had plenty of options available (I’m a vegetarian and had no problems filling up). They even have medicine for you if you start to feel sea sick…, Absolutely the best experience and I highly recommend to anyone slightly interested in diving. Even if you’re a little scared or nervous to try it, you should. All those fears slip away once you’re underwater. I promise You won’t be disappointed.

Go Diving in Thailand- Ask for NED so you don’t end up dead

Such an amazing experience! First time divers and our instructor On was patient, kind, and helpful. She made us feel comfortable and welcoming on the boat ride and during the dive. I would highly recommend this company and On as an instructor. Amazing photos and videos were taken and communication with the diving company was efficient!

Meh I’ve seen much better reef elsewhere

Great that you don’t need any experience diving or any certificate to do it. I was put with 2 other newbie solo travellers with 1 scuba instructor between 3 which I think was good. Any more and it would have been dangerous. The reason my rating is average is the reef was a bit boring and dead. I’ve heard of much better dive spots that have sunken ships etc and this one didn’t have anything. A few large cube structures that’s it. Perhaps this is better for beginners as less distractions and can focus on breathing in the equipment. However if you want to see some nice reef and cool fish don’t dive here. Ned was curt but I liked him. Photos cost an extra 1000 baht and weren’t that great but better than nothing.

Amazing first time scuba experience - Diverse Marine Life

First time scuba diving and had such an amazing time! Pommé was our guide and she was an exceptional instructor. She explained everything so clearly and once we were in the water, she made sure we stayed safe. She also had an amazing eye and she pointed out so much marine life we would have never seen on our own, including cuttlefish, puffer fish, sea snakes, eels, and more. The dive site was beautiful and diverse with so much life. 10/10 for the experience, and highly recommend this company for your first time scuba diving experience in Phuket!

A great intro to SCUBA

Great for a first-time Scuba diver. Hotel pickup was prompt and well communicated, then the briefing and instruction was clear and easy to understand. Then two dives amongst the coral and beautiful fish. Dives weren't too deep and everything felt very safe and controlled. Highly recommend to those who want to give diving a try. Good lunch and unlimited water included

A Must-Do for brand new or experienced divers

My wife and I did the full day dive experience to Racha Yai for beginners since I am not a certified diver and have never done scuba before. I have to say this is an absolute must experience to try if you are in the area. Our instructor/divemaster, Ned was a true professional. My wife who is open water certified and has been on at least a dozen dives said that he is far and away the best she has ever experienced. He is incredibly precise and thorough in his explanations and preparations of what to expect being on the boat, about the equipment we’re using and during the dives themselves. By the time you are ready to go in the water you feel prepared to do so. He also will go at your pace taking you deeper as you feel more comfortable and only when you do. Not only were we safe the entire time, we got to see some amazing marine life - pufferfish, blue starfish, Midnight Snapper, and Crown of Thorns to name a few. He also takes pictures and videos during the dives that you can buy directly from him after the trip is over. The two dives we did on the trip were really fun and I can definitely say although it was my first scuba dive, it will not be my last. Also during the boat ride back it, was great to relax and talk with Ned about whatever came up as he makes fantastic conversation. The next time we are in Phuket we are going to seek out diving with Ned again. It’s a no- brainer!

Worth the money

Generally would recommend. We had 1 instructor between 2 people and the sea life I saw was breathtaking. Only suggestion is that they make the meeting point clear when you book. I had to message the contact to get clarification. Our instructor also took photos of us which we were able to purchase for 1000 bhat

A Great Day

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and in large part because of our instructor On. She was very thorough in her instruction and did a great job leading us to terrific underwater scenery. Thank you On and the rest of the crew!

Amazing tour. Highly recommend. All the details are taken care of and it was highly organized. Ode, the scuba diving instructor we had was really really good as well. Patient and informative. Definitely book this for first time scuba divers!

My wife and I really...

My wife and I really enjoyed this excursion. Ned, the instructor, was thorough and patient and made us feel very safe throughout. Three of us were with the instructor. Since we caught on quickly to the scuba, we had two very long dives - 50 mins each. They served a nice breakfast and hearty lunch (with several options) with plenty of tea, coffee and water. We saw a lot of fish! There was colorful coral as well. We saw a huge pufferfish, which the instructor caught its attention and had it face us! A beautiful multicolored sea snake was also a highlight. Several times on our dive we were surrounded by schools of fish swimming nearby. The boat was large and had shaded seating. A couple people had issues with sea sickness as it was a bit rough out and was 1.5 hours by boat to the diving site. We were picked up first (near Kamala beach) at 645 and dropped back off by 1730.

Unbelievable Memories!

First time scuba diving for me & my fiancé and we couldn’t recommend anyone better than Oliver! To write a review out of 5 is a tough one because personally we would give him 10 if we could! Very good English & went through everything in good depth and detail so we had a good understanding of what was expected when getting in the water! He was great at putting us at ease (as first time experiencing diving) and allowed us to go at our own pace. Saw some amazing things down below and got amazing pictures/videos. This experience is so worthwhile even if you are unsure about going deep in the water as you can opt to just swim/snorkel around the areas as well! Superb experience! Amazing memories! Would recommend to ANYONE!!!

A tour to remember, safe and genuine

A fantastic scuba diving experience made excellent by our awesome instructor/guide, Ned. Could not recommend this tour highly enough. Our family have holidayed in Phuket every year (other than Covid) for 14-years and we are wise to dodgy operators, poor services, dangerous scams and tours that do not live up to promises and expectations. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Ned was amazing. He was scrupulous in his instructions, making us feel safe, confident and supported even before we entered the water. As a result, our dive - the first for any of us - was AWESOME. Almost as good as Ned's pictures.

Ned was great as an instructor. I was honestly really nervous since I have respect of deep water, but I felt in good hands with him. The experience was wonderful and it’s awesome to see the marine life yourself.
