Phi Phi , Khai & Maya : Unforgettable Island Hopping by Speedboat

Crowded, rushed but beautiful

Sea Ángel tours, and most likely the other companies that organize these trips to phi phi, are very commendable in the way they have to heard hundreds of people in the daily tours. Although the tour is affordable, you’ll still be offered extras that increase the final cost (wet shoes, long tail boat, entrance to the park, etc.). If you have the means or you have more than 4 people in your party, you’ll be better off hiring a private tour that can spare you from a set and rushed agenda and having to spend your day with other 40 people in your boat rushing from one place to another. Having said that, those islands must be visited!

Didn’t show up

Got booked in for the wrong day, van didn’t even show up. We booked for the 3rd of May and all our details came on the morning of that day, still oddly our tour details said that the tour was on the 2nd. Tried contacting the tour organiser but they didn’t even provide a number to call. Waited at least 2 hours to get picked up at the point, even the customer support still can’t contact the tour operator right now. Right now i’m still waiting on a refund, will be very upset if i am not issued one since i didn’t even get to go. So disappointed as my friends and i were looking forward to this trip.

Long day. The views were amazing. Too busy and too rushed at times.

Spicy our guide and the crew was amazing. Great scenery but so many people. It felt rushed at Phi Phi island for the ones who snorkelled. Lunch was very ordinary, mostly spicy food. Lots of talk and hard sell before even leaving the jetty.

Not recommended

We were picked up very early then kept waiting for nearly two hours at the harbour before bording. The crew and guide were helpful with my wife who has mobility problems. In spite of the fact that the paperwork from Viator clearly stated transport included they insisted on charging an extra 400 Bht for the taxi.

Maya beach and...

Maya beach and snorkelling were the most beautiful and fun for us, however, we enjoyed to see other places too. Well organised trip. Great thanks to “Spicy” for being professional and very funny!!!!👌😎 Krzysztof with family

DeeDee was our tour guide, they made everything from start to finish seamless. We always felt included and supported in trying new things on each island and was always looked after! A memorable day! Thank you all from 2x happy Aussies!

Be aware of the lunch included

Snorkling stops. The lunch on phi phi was horrible. It was so hot and strong thst we could not eat. Had to buy our owm lunch.

Meh…

Meh… let me just say don’t bother with the scuba diving or long boat they are not worth the extra. On the bright side maya bay is nice to look at besides the hoards of tourists pumping in and out. And as others have said the last island is just to try squeeze whatever money you may still have left, and spend an unnecessary amount of time there

Time management not good.

Too much blabla at the beginning. Last Island just, for business and drinks, is not needed, and really to long 45mn. All of those times could be used to have more time for visits.

Yes unforgettable. Driver show up 35 minutes later, call the company no answered! Customer service at Viator only via text, what Start day very poor management still on the brite side “”” tour guide “” YO-YO”” kudos to you!!! Brave and sweetheart!! Because her wisdom made me feel better.

Awesome Tour

We did the booking almost a day before how ever everything went off smoothly. Had a fabulous time swimming in Crystal clear water beautiful beaches plenty of time to spend in each island. Very helpful people on board the ferry giving helping hand to elderly. It was well spent tour.

Do not book for snorkeling, islands are beautiful.

Do not book for snorkeling, the spots are not very good. At the start of the trip they will try to sell you a long boat tour for snorkeling, this is $50 each and isn't any good either. Also they will try to sell you swimming shoes bit they are double price. $12. Hey before you go. If you have a snorkel these shoes are not necessary for the last beach as you can easily see the sea bed. It's a reasonable trip to see the beauty of the islands food is good too. Overall not bad. We paid $75 for 2 people as we had a discount code. If we had paid full price we would have been disappointed as they don't take you to the best places for snorkeling. Maya bay was good, even tho you cannot swim you can go in upto your knees. Also we saw baby sharks. Hope this helps Steve and Ginette

Far and Beyond Expectations.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about their organization. It is very well organized. Every boat gets a colored band so we know which boat is which. They go far and beyond with the food and the excursions. "Only" by speedboat could you actually go on the beaches and Maya Bay, because big boats cannot dock close by. We got to see 5 islands in this case, because it's fast and efficient.

Great day trip

We had a great time with a great team guiding us through the various island experiences. Thoroughly enjoyed the "SPICY" care and attention to detail that was experienced by all.

Unforgettable

Amazing trip. No catch at all and the staff are really helpful and polite. Loved the fact that it was boiling hot and drinks were provided throughout. We got to see the main islands in one trip which was great

Funny but organized and caring tour guide

Funny but organized and caring tour guide. The speedboat is tiring. 12 hours spent on from pick up to getting back home, however, 8-9 hours on the move, net 2-3 hours experience and an hour lunchtime.

Thailand Tours was unimpressive

It was disorganized, loud, took forever to get going, I felt nickel and dimed…I would not recommend.

Don't go on a rough sea day

Its reasonably priced and the boat staff are nice. We happened to get a very rough sea day and there are big gaps on the side so if you sit back half of the boat you get hit in the face continuously with what seems like gallons of water. You qre moving for around 3hrs so it gets pretty uncomfortable. The boat was full and 3 people had to sit on the ice box so you cant move around either. The itinerary is good and we took some nice pictures. If it was calmer or covered on the side it would have been better. To top it off we stayed in bang tao which is 30 mins away but took 2hrs there and 2.5hrs back as the drop offs went via patong. So get a taxi to the venue if you live this way and save over 3hrs of your day

A nice trip

It was a lovely trip, a lot to cover. Main sight seeing points covered It was a big group, took a lot of time to gather Team was lovely

Good experience

This tour trip was really amazing. I think the time, the experience and the many places to see and enjoy were good for the itinerary they have. The tour guides and crew members were very good and attentive. I recommend this experience if you have a short stay in Phuket, as you can enjoy most of the islands on this tour. If you want to spend a lot of time on the islands, I recommend taking one or two islands tour in one day and you will enjoy more time in them. Overall good experience and worthy for the price.

We wasted our time and money

This is the worst excursion we have done. We are treated like money-making machines. We arrive, they encourage us to pay for equipment for swimming, then we have to pay 400 bath per person more for the park (ok it's for the natural site but it's still a budget), then we arrive next to the lagoon blue and if you want to see it you still have to pay 300 bath, and then you are landed on an island where there is nothing to do not even swim to consume drinks and eat. I don't recommend this excursion it's rubbish and we wasted our day

Spend just a little bit more and save yourself the trouble of many downsides of this tour.

While this tour does take you to the 3 islands stated in the description; you are probably better off booking a more expensive tour for the following reasons as it comes out to the same cost: 1) Extremely overcrowded boat, forcing people to fight over seats. This creates a very unpleasant experience. 2) Have to pay additional 300 baht (in addition to 400 baht for national park fees) for long boat photo experience - would advise against this as they sell it as an amazing snorkeling experience but you can snorkel at other times of the trip which has similar views. 3) The crew is nice but really tries to upsell very hard, including wet shoes, which they market by showing horrible pictures of people's feet having injuries from corals, which is extremely rare if you exercise common sense and stay away from the shallow end when snorkeling. 4) Pickup from Hotel is an AWFUL experience. No enforcement of timings and other guests routinely up to 30 minutes late. Overall, the tour does what it is supposed to but the slight savings is definitely not worth the additional headache from above.

The whole trip was amazing. The views . The crew was super nice, not crowded and very pleasant. Aside from not being able to get to monkey beach because it was high tide, the trip was amazing. Thank you INDY for a wonderful and memorable adventure.

Phi phi island tour

The tour was great, Tour guides where amazing. Got to see a lot of the different islands. Fun experience

They are tried to make...

They are tried to make more money on tourist. On line, we paid total for both of us is $102. When we get in there, tour guide force us to paid more 400 baht/for each person. I ask what for? They cannot explain clearly the reason why. Anyway, if we don't pay more they won't let us go to the ferry. This is cheating on tourist. Also, when everybody get all you can eat for lunch, food was not much good for me (I am a vegetarian). I tried a little bit some of pad Thai and later on I found that in the corner they post the site "special food for vegetarian". Then I just open up take a look if I can eat. One female employee told me:" this is food for special people". I told her I know, I am a vegetarian. She continued said: "I saw you are already ate". That is so bad attitude, unprofessional, untrained, no manner and no education. There is not finish yet...Later on she told one guy came to my table said: " You can go to the taxi". I asked him why? I don't go until 1:00pm as tour guy told me. He said: "I needed the table". Is this their customer services way??? Also, on policy said if base on the weather cannot go we can get full refund or reschedule. Actually, they don't care about that! That date was thunder storms but they still go. Ferry do not have anything to cover on, every one got wet all day make us so sick. The last thing, I want to said the toilettes were terrible never see on the word!!! No one clean up, no tissues, so..o..o stink! They just know how to make money but don't care for customers. Hopefully, my review can help everybody in the word thinking carefully before book this tour. Don't be wasted the money and get more upset!!!

Pom was a great tour guide. Amazing trip from start to finish. Every view gets more breath taking. Lovely refreshments provided. Would do it again with this same company.

Beautiful islands but crowded—boat is not exclusive/private

Absolutely gorgeous place and views, but the boat is very crowded and not at all exclusive/private. Many people also got seasick. The staff is wonderful and responsive. The tour goes rain or shine, so be sure you’re okay with going in the rain/wind if you’re booking in advance.

Great all day trip, just be prepared to get wet

The small island with all the boats on it. That was pretty cool and the last stop before heading back to the office.

Driver didnt show up

Nothing to expect here as they didnt bother to pick us up in the hotel. They didnt show up! We were waiting for an hour on reception and when I tried to contact them they couldnt be reached on the phone. I asked for the money back so we will see if they refund it. Our day was lost because no other trip that day on the boat was available to book. They even didnt apologize. Choose another company if you dont want to waste your day on vacation.

Not exclusive at all

Initially, the trip iteration and pickup process were efficiently organized and executed. However, once we boarded the boat, an uncomfortable feeling began to arise. The primary staff member appeared more focused on selling tickets for the long-tail boat (not initially included in the itinerary). When we reached Pileh Lagoon, the staff prioritize the transfer of tourists (who had purchased the long-tail boat tickets) and prohibited us from swimming until they transfer all tourists. This reduces our swimming time from 40 min to around 20 min. At Pileh Bay, the designated swimming time was stated to be 30 minutes. However, to my surprise, after around 15 minutes of swimming, I was abruptly pulled out of the water by a member of the staff. Unfortunately, no prior communication or explanation was provided regarding their intention to remove me from the water and place me back onto the boat. Upon realizing that someone was forcibly pulling me, I felt a sense of distress and unease, as if I were being kidnapped and instinctively shouted out. Regrettably, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, another staff member on the boat resorted to mocking me by imitating my distress. Very rude and unprofessional staffs.

Maya Island-the beautiful place, must see!

You may join day tour to go for Maya Island and snorkeling, they include lunch buffet but the taste only acceptable.

Our tour guide Yoyo and her team was incredible:) We had a perfect weather even tho it is rainy season already here, but the team managed it wonderfully.

Highlight of my trip

Loved this tour! Excellent tour guide, good food, & beautiful islands. Phi phi islands was so pretty, I would definitely do this tour again! You have plenty of time at each stop & there wasn’t long lines at the pier to board. Bring extra cash for souvenirs at phi phi Harbour.

Shambles

What a shambles of tour operator a does not communicate with b to top it all supplier did not speak English lied and stood us up now let’s see if we get our money and even our hotel came up for collection they said it was too far wtf apparently it has happened before 🤦‍♀️

Very exciting

We booked a trip to Phi Phi Don island and enjoyed our trip. The one thing that could be improved was the number of people that were put in the speedboat, the return to the speedboat from the beach was via the water, so please take care of your belongings from water. Otherwise, such an awesome trip we had! :)

Great day, wonderous sights and friendly staff

Our tour guide, Jenny♡ She was so vibrant, energetic, clear, direct, helpful, attentive, reactive and fun. She left us with no surprises in the sense that everything was clear and understood during every stop. She was the mother hen of our group and she kept us ducklings up to speed and well taken care of. The crew was simply amazing. Helpful, caring, organized and attentive. The stops were amazing and the sites were spectacular. Great value for the cost. The only downfall was the infestation of tourists. Very sad to see such beautiful location being overwhelmed by humanity. Should only be accessible to the lovely locals who work so hard every day to entertain their guests.

Gets you to some beautiful spots, but others might do it cheaper and better

While this tour does get you to some places you can't get to without a private boat, all the add-on costs that weren't originally explained left a bad taste in our mouths. We enjoyed the boat (though it was a very rough day to go out), and the snorkling (they did not provide fins), but most folks were exhausted before the last stop and the guides might have wanted to just take a poll to see if anybody was interested in the last stop, that was yet another place to just spend money at local beach bars. Might be better to go stay on Phi Phi for a few days and get a private boat to take you where you want to go and snorkel. Scuba and long boat were additional costs, as were the water shoes (which they made it seem like you really needed to have)

Don’t waist time and money, it’s like a timeshare sale where they try to up sale waist of 2 1/2 h before you start tour.

They picked us up at hotel at 7:45 to take us to the dock. We where in the impression that we will start the tour. But we embarked at 10:30. They said it was information but it seem like a timeshare tour 2 1/2 hours selling more services within out tour that had everything included. The tour advertise a buffet breakfast, that is not what I call a breakfast it’s some juice and bread with chairs in a parking lot while you are waiting 2 hours to depart! Not very profesional. The speedboat had 35 people, the crew was very nice they where all trying to do their job as best they can. It’s a shame of the company Sea Angel. They sold diving tours within the tour and long boats and shoes! Total rip off. The island and Maya Bay itself are beautiful for a little more money you can book this on a private tour more profesional. The crew and our leader where nice. The lunch was very average. From the total day tour of 8 1/2 hrs only 30 swimming and 30 snorkeling. At the end of the tour after lunch they stop at another island Khai Island, overcrowded. You need to pay for everything even bathroom it’s just an extra stop to try to sale more activities. Do not waist your time! It is Not a relaxing tour at all
