Note: The visa can be obtained on arrival at Uganda provided the following documents should be carried along:
A Valid passport with a validity of minimum six months.
Two photographs.
Return air ticket.
Invitation letter / hotel reservation.
Yellow fever certificate.
Stay is granted on arrival at the Uganda Immigration.
A fee of US $ 50 is charged.
Tourist Visa
- The Applicant should possess a passport having validity for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket should be attached with the application.
- Onward country visa (if any).
- The application form should be submitted along with a Covering Letter from the applicant mentioning the purpose of the visit.
- If the visit is being sponsored, a Sponsorship Letter (in original) attested by the Indian High Commission in Uganda will be required.
- Copies of the Sponsors valid Residence Certificate will also be needed.
- If the Sponsor is inviting his / her spouse, then an Invitation from his employing Company should be faxed directly to the Embassy. A copy of the same documents should be submitted along with the visa application.
- Copies of the Identity Card and the passport of the inviting partner will also be required.
- Other requisite documents:
- Income Tax Returns statements for the last 3 years.
- Bank Statement of the last six months.
- Yellow Fever Certificate.
- Once issued, the Visa remains valid for 90 days and will be issued for a stay of up to 30 days.
- Visa processing time is 24 hours.
- The Visa fee (is non refundable) should be paid in the form of a Bank Draft, drawn in favor of "Uganda High Commission New Delhi".

Business Visit
- The Applicant should possess a passport having validity for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket should be attached with the application.
- Onward country visa (if any).
- The application form should be enclosed with a Covering Letter from the Indian Company or Individual mentioning the purpose of travel.
- A Letter of Invitation from the Business Associates in Uganda. The Invitation should be sent directly to the Embassy and another copy should be submitted with the visa documents.
- It is recommended to have a Letter from FICCI or any other Chamber of Commerce.
- Income Tax Returns statements for the last 3 years.
- Bank Statement of the last six months.
- Yellow Fever Certificate.
- Once issued, the Visa remains valid for 90 days and will be issued for a stay of up to 30 days.
- Visa processing time is 24 hours.
