Climate: The climate of Spain varies throughout the country. It is pleasant in the north and dry & hot in the south. The best months to enjoy a holiday in this country are between April and October. Tourist Visa

Applicant should have a passport with a validity of minimum 3 months beyond the date of planned stay with two blank pages. Photocopy of all the pages, including pages of previous passport (if any). Passports should not have a validity of more than 10 years.
Application form accordingly filled and signed by the applicant at two places with a blue ball-point pen and a photo should be pasted on it. The contact details of the applicant should be clearly stated in the application. Two photocopies of this application forms are necessary with photographs pasted on the forms.
Declaration for travel insurance signed by the applicant is compulsory to be provided along Visa Application form at the time of submission.

For visiting family or friends:
A Letter of Invitation issued by "Policia Nacional de EspaÃ±a"
Attested copy of the passport and the DNI or residence card of the person living in Spain
Travel insurance covering 30,000 Euros or 50,000 $ expenses with repatriation for medical reasons and emergency hospital treatments. The insurance should be valid in throughout the Schengen territory and its duration should be for more than 15 days from the returning date in India. Insurance should be taken from the approved list of Indian Travel Insurance Companies.
If visiting any friend or relative, an invitation should be made prior to the Spanish Police and an attested copy of the passport/national identity card of the inviter if he/she is Spanish or a European Union citizen, or copy of the residence permit if he/she is Indian or a citizen of a different non-EU country.

All the documents that the applicant may consider appropriate in order to show his / her personal economic situation (for instance: original bank statements & other financial assets etc.) and attested copies of any other documents that the applicant may decide to provide. These documents are necessary even it is another person, company or institution that bears the expenses of the trip.

An original letter from the concerned Spanish company/companies explaining the nature of the business will be undertaken by the applicant. The document used should be issued in Spanish & English.

If the purpose of the visit differs from business trip (like: conferences, participation in sports events, studies, cultural activities, etc.), all documents justifying your motive of the visit

Work Permit Visa

Residence Visas: Work As Employee: To apply for this kind of visa, submit the application one month prior to the date of notification to the Entrepreneur or Employer of the favorable resolution of the residence and work authorization.
After receiving the application, the Embassy will decide the date for the resolution of the application.
On that day, any of the following situations may open out.
The visa applied for is approved
The application may be kept in queue
The applicant has to submit furthermore documents
The applicant may be called for a personal interview
The application can be rejected. (no refund of the paid fees)

Copy of the favorable declaration on the residence and work authorization with the acknowledgement receipt by the entrepreneur/employer (date and signature) A certificate of not having any criminal record should be issued by the authority / authorities from the country of origin and in which the applicant is living from last five years. This certificate should not be older than 1 month while submitting the application. Indian certificates will be issued by the corresponding passport office. For Nepal citizens, they have to submit a legalized Police clearance certificate.
Photocopy of the criminal record
Medical Certificate issued by an authorized medical practitioner along its photocopy explaining that the Applicant is not suffering from any disease that can create any harm on the public health in reference to the International Sanitary Act 2005. This certificate should not be more than one month old while submitting the application.
