Climate: The Inland rain falls occurs summer (November to April). Summer temperatures are high while at the altitude which means that nights are cool. Winter nights are fairly cold, but days are generally warm and pleasant. On the other hand, the cold Benguela waves keeps the coast of the Namib Desert cool, damp and rain free for most of the year, with a thick coastal fog.

Tourist Visa

The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 12 months after the date of departure from Namibia.
Two visa application forms (photocopy is allowed).
Two passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
Onward country visa, if any.
Applicants need to submit the Yellow fever certificate only if the journey to the Republic of Namibia involves passing through the yellow fever area of Africa and/or South and Central America by any other means, that by a scheduled air service. (It is to be noted that the yellow fever certificates begins 10 days after the date of vaccination.)
A copy of entire travel itinerary.
Documentary proof of confirmed Hotel reservation.
Documentary proof of sufficient funds to survive in the country.
The Visa Processing time can take up to 3 to 4 working days.
Applicants are advised to submit their duly filled applications at least 15 days prior to their planned date of departure.
Application should be submitted along with two sets of photocopies of all the documents are required.

Business Visa

The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 12 months after the date of departure from Namibia.
Two visa forms (photocopy allowed).
Two passport-size photographs.
A Covering Letter from the Indian Company stating the Applicant's designation, the purpose of his visit and the period of stay.
A Letter of Invitation from Business Associate/ s in Namibia.
Bank statement for last six months.
Income tax returns for last two years.
Yellow fever certificate is required only if the journey to the Republic of Namibia entails passing through the yellow fever area of Africa and/or South and Central America by any other means that by a scheduled air service. (The validity of yellow fever certificates begins 10 days after the date of vaccination.)
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
A copy of the travel plan.
Confirmed Hotel Reservation.
Processing time is 3 to 4 working days.
Applicants are advised to submit duly filled applications at least 15 days prior to their proposed date of departure. All applications are reffered for Approval.
Two sets of photocopies of all the documents are required.

Transit Visa

The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 12 months after the date of departure from Namibia.
Two visa forms (photocopy allowed).
Two passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
Onward country visa.
A copy of the travel plan.
Confirmed Hotel Reservation.
Proof of funds.
Visa validity depends on the air ticket with a maximum stay of 24 hours.
Processing time is 3 to 4 working days.

Seamen Visa

The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 12 months after the date of departure from Namibia.
A Covering Letter from the Indian Company stating the Applicant's designation, the purpose of his visit and the period of stay.
A Letter of Invitation from Business Associate/ s in Namibia.
Two visa forms (photocopy allowed).
Two passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
Onward visa.
A copy of the travel plan.
Confirmed Hotel Reservation.
Proof of funds.
Indian Seamen traveling on duty must hold a Letter of Guarantee from the Shipping Company with the Seamen Book and passport.
A fax message from the Shipping Company in Namibia must be sent to the Embassy. It should state the particulars of the Seamen and the date and port of joining the Ship.
Applicants are advised to submit duly filled applications at least 15 days prior to their proposed date of departure.

Work Permit Visa

The Work permit visa is not issued by the Embassy in Delhi. The Applicant needs to apply for a business visa and then, on arrival in Namibia, the application for the work permit should be made by the Employer to the following Department / Address:
