Tourist Visa
Libya doesn't issue tourist visa.
Business Visa
- The Applicant's passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa, with its Arabic translation.
- Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy not allowed).
- Two recent passport-size photographs with blue background and a telex message confirming visa approval from the Immigration Department in Tripoli, directly to the Embassy, giving Applicant's name along with passport details.
- This visa approval needs to be arranged by the business associates in Libya.
- A medical certificate of physical fitness certifying that Applicant is not suffering from AIDS or cholera should also be attached with application in its Arabic translation.
- The Medical certificate should be obtained by G-43 Green Park.
- After issuance, the visa is valid for 60 days and is issued for a maximum stay of 30 days.
- Visa processing time will be 3 to 4 working days after the Application is submitted.
Visa fees should be paid in form of DD, drawn in favor of "Consular Section Embassy of Libya" or the applicant can deposit the cash at ICICI bank branch- Daryaganj in A/c no.: 0333-050-75001, once the visa is approved. However, the Service Charge needs to be paid in cash at the Embassy.

Transit Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
- One visa form (photocopy is allowed of same size).
- One latest passport-size photograph.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Onward visa (if required).
- An NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Kuwait.
- The visa application should be enclosed with a covering letter from the Indian organization.
In order to obtain a visit visa for a business visitor, a Kuwaiti sponsor or company will require:
- Visa application and security form completed by the sponsor.
- A copy of the visitor's passport.
- A copy of the sponsor's signature as registered for business purposes.
- A copy of the letter of invitation from the sponsor to the business visitor explaining the purpose of the visit.
- The visa is valid for entry within 90 days of issue and for a maximum stay of up to 30 days (only after entry).
- Visa processing time can be more than a few days.
Transit Visa
Libya doesn't issue transit visa.
Seamen Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa, with its Arabic translation.
- Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy not allowed).
- Two recent passport-size photographs with blue background and a telex message confirming visa approval from the Immigration Department in Tripoli, directly to the Embassy, giving Applicant’s name along with passport details.
- This visa approval needs to be arranged by the business associates in Libya.
- A medical certificate of physical fitness certifying that Applicant is not suffering from AIDS or cholera should also be attached with application in its Arabic translation.
- The Medical certificate should be obtained by G-43 Green Park.
- The shipping agent in Libya needs to make arrangement for the visa from the Immigration Department in Tripoli.
- The telexed visa approval should come directly to the Embassy.
- Once issued, the visa is valid for 60 days and is issued for maximum stay of up to 30 days.
- The visa processing time is 4 working days after the Application is submitted.

Work Permit Visa
- The Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa, with its Arabic translation.
- Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy not allowed).
- Two recent passport-size photographs with blue background and a telex message confirming visa approval from the Immigration Department in Tripoli, directly to the Embassy, giving Applicant’s name along with passport details.
- This visa approval needs to be arranged by the business associates in Libya.
- A medical certificate of physical fitness certifying that Applicant is not suffering from AIDS or cholera should also be attached with application in its Arabic translation.
- The Medical certificate should be obtained by G-43 Green Park.
- The employer (who is inviting the applicant for work) need to contact the Immigration department in Tripoli with the passport details of the Applicant. If approved, the confirmation will be telexed directly to the Embassy.
- After issuance, this Visa remains valid for 60 days and issued for a stay of 30 days (maximum).
- The visa processing time is 7 to 8 working days.
