Climate: Lebanon enjoys four seasons. Summer (which occurs from June to September) is very hot on the coast and cooler amidst the mountains. On the other hand, spring and autumn are warm and pleasant. Winter (occurs from December to mid-March) is generally rainy, with heavy snow in the mountains.

Tourist Visa

At present, Lebanon is not issuing tourist visa. But, for family visit visas, applicants need to submit / send an original legalized Sponsorship Letter from the person to be visited in Lebanon with proof of accommodation with the application form.

Business Visa

The Applicant's passport should have the validity for at least 6 months from the date of issuance of visa (along with two sets of photocopies of the identification pages- front and back).
Two visa forms duly typed and signed by the applicant (photocopy allowed).
Two latest passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
Proof of funds to survive in the country.
A shot statement regarding the company in India and its products.
A letter from the Indian Chamber of Commerce need to be attached with the visa application form
Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the Indian company issued by the Registrar of Companies of the concerned area,
A covering letter from the organization (company) in India should be enclosed with the application.
The letter of invitation from Lebanese company need to be written in Arabic language with name of the person invited in English and the copy of invitation to be faxed directly in the Embassy on company' letter-head, with full name, designation and company seal along with the signatures. This invitation letter should be addressed to the Consular Section, Embassy of Lebanon, New Delhi with a copy to the invitee.
A declaration on company's letter head mentioning that the company will take full legal, judicial & financial responsibilities of the return of the person, who is applying for the visa should also be enclosed with the application form.
The visa stamped specifies the validity and stay permitted by the government of Lebnon.
All visas are valid from the date of issuance, not from the date of entry into the country.
Visa processing time is about 10 days.

Transit Visa

A Letter of guarantee from the shipping company with a letter of invitation from the shipping agent in Lebanon should be faxed directly to the Embassy with seamen book.
The visa stamped indicates the validity and stay permitted.
Validity of Seamen visa is for 15 days with a maximum stay of 15 days allowed.
The visa processing time will take up to 10 days.

Work Permit Visa

Visa is applied by the Employee or University director to the Secretary General at Beirut (whichever the case may be) and is stamped on arrival on the passport. In this case, the embassy doesn't entertain the applications and doesnâ€™t have any role in sending documents for verification.
