Tourist Visa

Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application for the visa.
Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
The application should be enclosed with a covering letter from the Applicant mentioning the purpose of tour.
2 recent passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
Applicant’s bank statement for the past three months.
Onward country visa (if required).
After issuance, visa remains valid for 3 months with a maximum stay of up to 30 days.
Visa processing time is 3 working days.

Note: Urgent cases can also obtain a visa-on-arrival at the Wattay airport or the border check-point of Mittaphab Bridge. This will subject to the Applicant, if he / she has a valid passport, photographs and requisite documents showing the intent to return. However, it is advised that applicants should apply for the visa from India itself.

Business Visa

Applicant's passport should be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application for the visa.
Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
A Covering letter from the Applicant should be enclosed with visa application form.
A Letter of Invitation from the Business Associate/ s in Laos.
Proof of funds.
2 latest passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
Bank statement for the last three months.
Onward country visa.
Once issued, the Visa is valid for 90 days and is issued for a maximum stay for 30 days.
The visa processing time is 3 working days.

Transit Visa

Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application for the visa.
Two duly filled visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
A Covering letter from the Applicant should be enclosed with visa application form.
Applicant need to mention proof of funds.
2 latest passport-size photographs.
Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
Bank statement for the last three months.
Confirmed onward country visa on passport.
Once issued, the Visa is valid for 90 days and is issued for a maximum stay for 7 days.
The visa processing time is 3 working days.
