ClimateClimate: The coastal areas of Kenya are tropical, but frequently tempered by monsoon winds. The lowlands are hot but dry, whereas the highlands are more temperate with four seasons. Tourist

Note: Visa-on-Arrival is available for Indians at the Airport on payment of $ 50. In addition, the Passenger must carry a confirmed air ticket and Yellow Fever Certificate along with other requisite Travel Documents.

  • The Applicant's passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
  • One visa form (photocopy is allowed).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • A covering letter from the applicant should be enclosed with the visa application form.
  • A Leave letter from the company in which the applicant is working.
  • For groups, applicants need to provide the travel itinerary in Kenya.
  • Onward visa (if required) and proof of funds or Sponsorship (with declaration from the sponsor in Kenya).
  • Applicant need to get the Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate and enclose the same with application.
  • Documentary proof of Hotel stay confirmation.
  • Copy of Credit card.
  • Return air ticket.
  • The validity of the visa is of 3 months but the period of stay is given at the time of entry into Kenya.
  • Visa processing time is of 24 hours.
The visa fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD), drawn in favour of "Kenya High Commission", payable in New Delhi.


Business Visa

  • The Applicant need to have a valid passport.
  • One visa form (photocopy is allowed).
  • One latest passport-size photograph.
  • Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
  • A Letter of invitation (for business and tourist visas fax copies are acceptable) that bears Visa Clearance Number.
  • A covering letter from the company in India mentioning the purpose of visit.
  • Onward visa (if required) and proof of sufficient funds to survive in the country.
  • The Visa is granted for Single Entry and that too for a stay of 90 days.
  • Processing time of the Embassy is 2 to 3 working days and it should be noted that the embassy works only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.
  • Visa Fees is quoted in US Dollars, but can be paid in Indian Rupees. Consular fees are paid through Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vasant Vihar Branch, in favor of Kazakhstan Embassy.

Transit Visa

  • The Applicant's passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
  • One visa form (photocopy is allowed).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • Transit Visa is valid for 3 months with 7 days stay permitted.
  • Confirmed onward visa and proof of funds or Sponsorship declaration from the sponsor in Kenya.
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is compulsory.
  • Documentary proof of hotel confirmation in Kenya
  • Visa processing time is of 24 hours.
The visa fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD), drawn in favour of "Kenya High Commission", payable in New Delhi.

Seamen Visa

  • The Applicant'spassport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
  • The Indian seamen travelling on duty need to hold a Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company along with seamen book and passport. The covering letter should include particulars of the seamen, name of the ship and the expected date and port of joining the ship.
  • Application should be enclosed with invitations from Kenyan Company and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the last Employer (in India).
  • One visa form (photocopy is allowed).
  • Two latest passport-size photographs.
  • Onward visa (if required) and proof of funds or Sponsorship (with declaration from the sponsor in Kenya).
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is mandatory.
  • Documentary proof of hotel confirmation in Kenya
  • The validity of the visa is of 3 months but the period of stay is given at the time of entry into Kenya.
  • Visa processing time is of 24 hours.

Work Permit Visa

Work Permit Visa

  • The Applicant's passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
  • The Employer will need to apply for work permit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kenya.
  • The Applicant will further need to apply for the visa with the original work permit.
  • Application should be enclosed with invitations from Kenyan Company and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the last Employer in India (it is required).
  • One visa form (photocopy is allowed).
  • Two latest passport-size photographs.
  • Onward visa (if required) and proof of funds or Sponsorship (with declaration from the sponsor in Kenya).
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is mandatory.
  • Documentary proof of hotel confirmation in Kenya
