Climate: The climate of Guatemala varies as per the altitude of the country. Its coastal regions and northeast are hot all through the year and enjoys an average temperature of 20°C (68°F) which sometimes rises up to 37°C (99°F). Usually, nights in this region are clear throughout the year. Though, in higher climes close to the heart of the country the rainy season, running from May to September, is characterized by clear skies after abundance of rainfall in the afternoons and evenings. Temperatures may fall sharply at night.
