ClimateClimate: Bermuda enjoys a semi-tropical climate with no wet season. The Gulf Stream which flows between Bermuda and the North American continent keeps the climate temperate. The seasons change during mid-November to mid-December and from late March through April. Any, either spring or summer weather may happen and visitors must be prepared for both. Showers may be heavy at times but occur primarily at night. Summer temperatures prevail from May to mid-November with the hottest weather in July, August and September - this time duration is rarely followed by high winds.

Tourist Visa

From March 5, 2012 onwards, it is mandatory for all applicants to complete the application process online. One can download the required forms by logging on to the following link: www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk. Applicant requires clicking on the button "APPLY ONLINE", select the purpose of visit (in the options given) and after completing the online visa formalities, getting an option for appointment date. The printout of the completed application need to be taken on day of appointment to visit VFS for biometrics, while the visa fee can be paid in cash or bank demand draft.

Note:
  • One should submit all the original requisite documents along with photocopies of the same. All original documents will be returned only after the visa process is completed.
  • The Visa Fee is payable for each Applicant (with application) which can be paid in cash or in the form of Bank draft (available at VFS) are non-refundable, even for children. Two separate bank drafts are required.
  • The bank drafts should be made in favor of:
  • "The British High Commission" payable in New Delhi (if applying in Northern India)
  • "The British High Commission" payable in New Delhi (if applying in Eastern India).
  • "The British Deputy High Commission" payable in Mumbai (if applying in Western India)
  • "The British Deputy High Commission" payable in Chennai (if applying in Southern India)
  • The following documents are required to be submitted along with the application:
  • The passport should be valid for at least 6 months and have two empty pages (back to back).
  • Two passport-size photographs (35 x 45 mm showing 80% face) as per the biometric specifications
  • One duly filled and signed Visa Form.
  • All the columns in the Visa Form must be completed in order to avoid any delay or refusal of the same.
  • A personal covering letter from the Applicant mentioning complete details such as the purpose of tour, duration of stay etc.
  • Applicant should attach a sponsorship letter from Family or Friends in Bermuda along with their financial details.
  • Applicant must submit the approved leave application / letter from the Company (if working).
  • Applicant should attach the appointment letter from the company / Salary Slip for the last 6 months.
  • Applicant should submit his / her Personal Bank statement with transactions of the last 6 months (showing the account numbers) and complete bank contacts including the telephone number (in A4 size photocopy).
  • Personal Income Tax Returns statements for the last 3 years.
  • Hotel booking confirmations for the entire duration of stay in Bermuda.
  • One must note that all original set of documents requires to be submitted.
  • The visa processing time can take up to 4 weeks or more as all the cases are referred for approval.

Business Visa

  • Applicant should attach the appointment letter from the company / Salary Slip for the last 6 months.
  • Applicant should submit his / her Company's Bank statement with transactions of the last 6 months (showing the account numbers) and complete bank contacts including the telephone number (in A4 size photocopy).
  • Income Tax Returns statements of the company for the last 3 years.
  • Company's Registration Certificate/ Proof of company/ Partnership deed should be submitted.
  • One must note that all original set of documents requires to be submitted
