Tourist Visa
It should be noted that the Tourist Visa is no longer issued to individuals. However, recognized agents are permitted to take a group of 8 to 10 people with the prior sanction of the visa consular.
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two duly filled visa form (photocopy not allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- The application should be attached with a covering letter from the Applicant.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Onward country visa (if applicable).
- Application should be attached with evidence of funds such as bank statement for last six months and Income tax returns for past three years.
- The Visa is valid for 30 days and issued for a maximum stay of 30 days.
- Visa processing time is 2 to 3 working day.

Tourist Visa
Business Visa
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- A covering letter from the Indian organization / Individual must be enclosed with application form.
- Applications should be submitted along with a recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Application should be attached with invitation either from the Ministry in Sanaa or the sponsoring company in Yemen (in original) directly to the Embassy.
- Proof of funds such as bank statement for past six months and Income tax returns for last three years.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Applicants should have onward visa (if applicable) and proof of enough funds to finance their stay in the country.
- Visa is valid for 30 days and is issued for a stay of 30 days.
- Processing time is 2 to 3 working day.

Seamen Visa
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Application form should be submitted along with a covering letter from the shipping company.
- Indian seamen traveling on duty must carry a Letter of Guarantee from the shipping company with seamen book and his passport.
- A direct fax message from the shipping agent in Yemen to the Embassy mentioning details of the seamen, date and port of joining the ship is required.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- Onward country visa (if any).
- Evidence of funds such as bank statement for past six months and Income tax returns for last three years.
- Processing time is 2 to 3 working day.
Seamen Visa
Work Permit Visa
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
- Two visa form (photocopy not allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- The application should be attached with a covering letter from the Applicant.
- Confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- The Visa should be applied by the employer in Yemen to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration Department.
- The Visa approval is sent directly to the Embassy with a copy to the sponsor.
- The Visa approval copy and medical certificate from Embassy approved doctor should be enclosed with the application.
- All applications are referred to Yemen and can take about one to two months for the approval.
- After the approval is received, the Visa processing time can take about 3 working days.

Climate: The climate of Yemen varies according to altitude. The coastal plains are hot and dusty almost throughout the year.
