Zurich Walking Tour With Cruise and Aerial Cable Car

Pouring rain, still worth going.

The weather was horrible, but the guide made the best of it ensuring everyone had the best tour possible. Was still worth it. I can only imagine how great it would have been if the weather cooperated.

It felt like: Planes Trains and Automobiles

Our guide Patricia was very good and also helpful. We learned a lot and used about every public transportation means possible: Gondola, cable car, bus, trolly, boat and walking. Unfortunately we had rain most of the day - very heavy at times. Therefore many of the views we wanted to see were fogged in. What was NOT mentioned before signing up for this tour was that there were multiple times we needed to climb steep hills - and not leisurely. One time we had just seven minutes to climb a very steep hill and catch a bus- and we just made it as I was slower than others. On a nice day, it would have been worth it to see the various views.

Great Experience!

Great value! Our guide Constantin was wonderful and spent more than a half with us. It was a small enough group that it was easy to get around. Constantin provided a lot of great information and was able to answer everyone questions. I highly recommend.

Great Way to Experience Zürich!!!

This tour was an amazing experience that taught us so much about Zürich! Please consider the fact that this is a WALKING TOUR and lasts 6 hours - there are stairs and steep hills. If you aren’t interested in walking around Zürich then I do not recommend this tour for you. When we arrived at the pick up spot our group embarked on a fun filled adventure right on time and ended right on time as well. This is the perfect tour to see what Zürich has to offer when you’re short on time, we saw many amazing sights including, churches, Old Town Zürich and Lake Zürich. Our tour guide Greg was fantastic and informative, he made the tour fun and interacted well with all members of the group! His colleague Vanessa was just as amazing and helpful, and they both answered all of our questions! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in the history and amazing sights Zürich has to offer!

Great Zurich tour

Constantine was fantastic. Would highly recommend his tour. Very informative but fun! While a great deal was covered in tour it remained light hearted and entertaining.

Great tour of Zurich

This tour packed alot in a half day. Our guide Greg had a great sense of humor that made it delightful. He pointed out interesting things about Zurich that we would have never discovered or appreciated on our own. Gave us tips for getting around the city on our own later and was even considerate enough to make sure we were pointed in our desired direction when the tour was over.

A Happy Ending after all!

Our flight was delayed for 30 hours which meant we weren’t able to make our paid, non-cancelable reservation. We contacted WOW requesting for a date change but WOW was full and we couldn’t make the next available date. 😟 But on the day before we left, we received a text about a last minute opening. Unfortunately, a fellow traveler’s flight was also delayed and could not make their trip. WOW thought about us. Because we weren’t near the start of the tour, we could only join the group for the cruise and the aerial cable car. Greg, our guide, was terrific. He caught us up with information while we were on the cruise. At the end of the tour, he spent an additional 20mins taking us to the university Einstein attended. We appreciate his effort and we learnt a ton. Greg and David, thanks for making our Swiss visit memorable. We hope to be back again!

Perfect your! See a lot in a short time

Awesome Way to See Zürich!

Gregory was an awesome tour guide and the tour was fantastic! We walked a lot of old town, took a boat ride across Lake Zurich and took a cable car up to Felsenegg which was an awesome view of the lake, river and Zurichnin distance. You can even see the tips of the alps! Book this tour - you cannot beat it!

Gregory was a very informative, knowledgable, and personable. In contrast to our “Old Town Walking Tour” from the day before, we found Gregory much more thorough and engaging. Great tour and guide!

Trip to Zurich

The tour was perfect. Constantine was very knowledgeable and funny. He made it very engaging and informative all at the same time. I would recommend the tour for sure for any first time travelers to Zurich.

Zurich in a nutshell

A great way to see the highlights of Zurich in a day. Our guide Greg was extremely knowledgeable and had some great jokes. Highly recommend this tour for those with only a limited time to spend in Zurich and you get to travel by tram, bus, boat, train and gondola.

A perfect day trip for yoyr first visit to Zurich

Greg was knowledgeable, fun, and resourceful. Rather than terminating the tour because tge cable car was out of service he find another way to get us to The Peak of Zurich. Great job!

Great excursion for overview of Zürich!

We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion, which was on foot, by train, by boat, and by gondola! Our guide “Greg” was very knowledgeable and we appreciated all his comments and points of view. This is the best way to see Zürich in a short amount of time.

Greg made the tour very special. Lots of insight and wonderful antidotes. Learn a great deal about the places we toured. He was also funny and very knowledgeable. It has been my most enjoyable tour.

Constantine was great and was very knowledgeable on the history of Zürich. A great mix of travel with walking, boat tide, trolley, bus, and cable car. Fantastic views of the city and community from many vantage points. Highly recommend

Excellent way to experience Zürich!

Constantine was an awesome guide as we ventured through the sweet spots of Zürich and made our way down the lake for a scenic mountaintop view, all with the seamless use of every public means of transport available: cable car, boat, train, bus, tram and funicular. Must do trip when you’re visiting Zurich. My in-laws, my husband, and I enjoy our tour tremendously. Constantine was an absolute delight.

Amazing views and wonderful overview of Zurich

If you are not in Zurich for long, this tour gives you a little bit of everything. Our guide, Constantine, was very knowledgeable and fun. We took so many pictures and the views were amazing. Please note this is definitely a WALKING tour. We each got at least 15,000 steps in that day, so make sure you are able to go uphill and be on your feet a lot. All of the activities were nicely scheduled so you do get to rest in between walking. The aerial cable car and boat ride were highlights. I definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent Tour and Tour Guide

The walking tour was excellent - our tour guide Patricia was knowledgeable and very friendly, patient and understanding. I would definitely recommend this walking tour with boat cruise and cable car. If you're lucky enough to get Patricia as your tour guide, it's a bonus.

Planes, trains, and automobiles

It’s really too much for one tour… each aspect on its own would be great, but all together, it’s too much. This tour involves walking, a funicular up to the university, more walking, down and then up, then a boat ride, then a race up a steep hill followed by a staircase, then a bus, then a walk, then a cable car, then a hike, back to the cable car, more walking, and a train. First of all, they say it’s 5 hours, but really it was 6. Second, there was some problem where maybe we missed the correct ferry because then we had 7 minutes to hightail it up a huge hill to the bus with Patricia yelling out the remaining time at each passing minute. It was stressful and felt unnecessary since we didn’t book a boot camp workout. And then, after the high pressure speed walk up the hill, there’s a steep staircase up to the bus! By the time we got to the top of the cable car ride and discovered it was more hiking to get to the lookout, we groaned. People were exhausted. The guide doesn’t live in town, so she seemed to lack basic city knowledge like information about local restaurants. The group was very nice, everyone got along well and had a good time together. It just was too much. Historical anecdotes and location information decreased as the day progressed. We had no idea what we were seeing during the cruise or from the lookout after the cable car some there was no explanation provided in either location.

Beautiful

Very beautiful tour and the tour guide was great. It rained a bit but was still beautiful. I really think they need to put a warning on there that this is a very challenging walk for some people. There are alot of hills and stairs. I know it says walking tour, and my mom can walk but I was happy she stayed at the motel that day because she would not have been able to make it.

Excellent experience

Greg was AMAZING!!! It was raining during our tour and we still enjoyed every minute. We learned a lot about the history of Zurich, were able to see or over look most of the city, and experienced the tram, boat, and short red tram (don't remember the name). There is a lot of walking at a quick pace, that covers steps and hills. We absolutely recommend this tour!!!!

So much Transportation so little time

Transportation tour. Experience almost all forms of transportation. A brief bit of history but a lot of walking. If we didn’t make it up the hill in less than ten minutes we were going to miss the bus. So be ready to hike it.

Great all over tour of the Zurich

Beautiful views with interesting commentary and a piece of Chocolate! Our tour guide was Constantine. He was very friendly and accommodating when I was walking a bit behind the group. Get ready for a lot of walking and picture taking plus a brief stop for lunch.

Best way to see Zurich

The tour was amazing. We got to see the city as a local would, by public transportation. The guide was very knowledgeable and I learned so much from the tour. I would definitely recommend it, just be prepared to do a lot of walking.

Walking in Zurich

Patricia was a great guide went on funicular, boat and mountain tram. Gave us interesting facts s out Old Town. Lots of walking, but lots of ground covered on the tour. Well worth it.

Loved the walk and cruise to see the wonders of Zurich. Sites are incredible and the people are friendly. Once again the tour guide was very well versed about the city.

Greatest Switzerland Tour Ever

Everything was truly an adventure. I loved every minute, but if I were to choose my all time favorite, I would choose the tour guide. He was truly amazing, he was very flexible on timing, he was incredibly helpful, he was so kind and motivated all of us to continue the tour.

Fabulous Tour

This tour was fantastic. Greg, our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and could convey all his knowledge easily. This tour gave you an overall insight into the history of Zürich and ended with a fabulous lake boat ride and gondola lift up to the top of the small mountain.

We had such a great walking tour of Zurich with our guide Greg. If you want to learn any history of this city, do this tour! There is so much to learn and we saw the city from every angle. Walking, water, bus, train, cable car. No where will you find more bang for your buck.

Excellent Zurich Tour!!!!

Great tour saw so much of Zurich and surrounding areas. Greg our guide was excellent. You should be good physical shape as this tour does have lots of walking uphill.

Amazing tour

Greg was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Zurich. The ferry was delayed and he figured a new route to get us to see everything on the tour and still get the trip competed on time.

Excellent customer service and client care from Wow Zurich Tours

I didn't go on the tour, but had a fabulous time! My tour was cancelled and we couldn't reschedule, so David Orelli from Wow Zurich Tours went out of his way to send me an itinerary of things to do in Zurich with guidance on how to get around the city and wonderful suggestions of places to go and see. David provided me with extensive directions on how to get to places and even guided me to the proper places to go to obtain transportation tickets. He was delightful and super helpful even though I was refunded the price of my tour. My recommendation is, if you are taking a tour in Zurich, Wow Zurich Tours and David Orelli is the operator you must use as I am sure that the care they took of me would be even greater on the tour itself. Highly recommended.

Worth the Money!

I would recommend This tour to anyone visiting Zürich. We learned a lot of informative tips and facts about the city of Zürich. Our tour guide, Greg, was excellent. We truly enjoyed the gondola to the mountain as well as the ferry ride on Lake Zürich. All in all, it was well worth the money. We are so happy we did this tour.
