Zurich Highlights City Tour with Lake Cruise

Great tour for a quick overview of city

The cruise was excellent and I would recommend it. Very relaxing, Elijah would take beautiful pictures and use your perspective of the city. You can’t get walking around. The brakes on the bus were very good. It allows some sightseeing. I would’ve liked one more break and a little bit more walking just for pictures because it’s very difficult to take pictures on the bus and if you’re sitting on the wrong side of the bus, you may miss the scenery.

Two thumbs down

I’ll start with the one positive thing I have to say about our experience. Thomas, our tour guide was wonderful. Other than that, the tour was awful. The “boat tour” that you get, is basically a water taxi. We weren’t told any facts on it and it’s open to the public to get to neighboring locations. The chocolate factory tour on its own costs $20. This experience was $85. What I paid $85 for I am unsure. Save your money and do something else.

Great tour of Zurich.

Our tour guide was excellent! Very informative and had a good sense of humor as well. Felt like we learned a lot about Zurich. The boat cruise was ok. Be sure to get the app in order to get the information though.

Zurich City Tour

The city tour was amazing and the tour guide was very informative. The walking part of the city tour was very enjoyable.

Bus tours aren’t for me

Not horrible but too many people and the bus tour format just isn’t for me. Now I know! Just for preference sake, smaller walking tours are a bit more interesting IMO.

Did not live up to my expectations

The bus part was disappointing for us but others may have enjoyed it. There seemed to have been some Road diversions and we did not get to see much. The guide was nice and gave an interesting but very short tour. The walking tour was good but short. The cruise part was misleading in my opinion as the picture in this add shows a 3 decker boat but it was actually a commuter ferry, stopping in several stops. Overall it did not live up to our expectations, but would an average score as the tour guide was good.

Experiencing the Highlights of Zurich

My wife and I enjoyed this tour because it included three great ways to see Zurich: a bus tour, a guided walking tour, and a scenic boat ride. We thought the length was about right. We enjoyed the variety of sights and experiences. We only had one full day in Zurich, so this was the ideal way to see the highlights. We think this tour offers good value for the money spent.

Beautiful and relaxing

I decided at the last minute to hop on this cruise with my 2 kids. It was so relaxing, beautiful and just a great way to end our day.

Won't recommend this at all. Just to be honest.

Nothing really. I'm actually very disappointed with this one. The guide had just returned for the first time after 3 years of break from working as a guide. He wasn't very informative. So very little details about the places we were shown. The driver was driving too fast that it was difficult to take pictures. The lake cruise was so disorganized and noisy as we were left alone on our own to listen to the app they gave us. Most passengers were just chatting with their group so it was hard to listen to the app as well.

Great way to see Zurich and learn some history of the city. Enjoyed the beautiful city, weather and clean water.

Great tour; so-so lake cruise

The Tour Guide and walking tour was fabulous! We saw lots of sights, tasted chocolate, and everything was organized and on time. The lake cruise was disappointing. Basically we were on the city ferry and stopped at stops along the way.

Zurich is a beautiful city with hidden treasures and amazing views.

This was well organized and I liked the stops we did to take pictures. The best is the lake cruise, very relaxing. It was nice to see the city from the water. FYI Zurich terminal is big so it was hard to find the departing point due to construction in early May.

Bus tour great but definitely do the chocolate tour!

The weather was rainy and crappy. So we couldn’t see anything. And the “mini cruise” was just nothing. We rode a boat around 1/10 of the lake just docking to pick up other people. NO does king or sights were talked about. It was lame. We should’ve taken the chocolate tour instead.

Good one

It was all well arranged and well conducted. Only thing I heard from my hotel that they arrange the same tour from same local company almost in 75% of charge, 25% markup by viator or TripAdvisor is high.

Don’t waste your time

Boring bus tour around the city and then our tour guide screwed up and forgot that we were doing a lake tour as well and we missed the last boat and were unable to go.

Good value for a half day tour

Very knowledgeable tour guide. Mini cruise on Lake Zurich promised WiFi on boat, but didn't have it.

Poor information provided on departure point with return point shown on google maps whilst pick up shown in parallel, not suitable for phone, boat peer staff not helpful, missed trip due to miss information and when I called the operator they would only offer a 50% refund on another trip A rainy day nightmare !. Signage and staff at peer departure no engaged with any information on trip.

Great combo bus/boat tour of Zurich

Viator’s description is poor. There is a 2.5 hr bus ride before a 1 he cruise. However, the bus makes 3 stops providing a chance to take pics and stretch your legs. The guide was excellent and the boat cruise picturesque.

Guide was excellent. Bus driver was also very kind. We enjoyed the tour a lot. Cruise was amazing too.

Wenig Geschichtliche Infos

Ich fand es schade, dass nichts geschichtliches zur Stadt erzählt wurde. Es wurde nur gezeigt wo was ist und wann das Monument gebaut wurde. Es fehlte aber eine geschichtliche Einordnung und Zusammenhang.
