It was a fantastic trip The tour guide was awesome Was exactly as was stated online how the trip would go I wish we could of stayed longer at Stein am Rhine its a beautiful town

Must do tour if you like waterfalls and medieval towns

Great tour-had plenty of time at the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhine to explore. Monique was a knowledgable and friendly guide. Gave lots of insights on the medieval town of Stein am Rhine and then still had time to do further exploring/shopping on own. Had rained recently so there was an enormous amount of water cascading over the falls.

Great trip, scenic , do the boat trip . Fun experience for everyone

Coach was extremely clean and comfortable. Trip to and from Rhine falls very scenic . Took the boat ride which was fun and great to see the falls from the water . Stein am Rhein very cute town . Our tour guide and the training assistant were lovely , informative and friendly.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR COMPANY - SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

If I could give -1 stars I would!! We had two tours booked with this company, the first one was to the top of Europe - which was an enjoyable day. The next day we were booked on the Rhine Falls tour. We checked in and went to get on the bus, there were two doors open (the front and the back) we went to get on the back door as we couldn’t see any staff and the bus driver came out of nowhere and yelled at us to stop and get in the front. He was SO rude and aggressive that we immediately felt very uncomfortable and it was extremely upsetting. The tour guide then came over, I didn’t see from where as we were both so shocked and embarrassed after being yelled at aggressively, she was very short and rude with us as she told us we had to sign a permission form, which we had no problem doing, we just weren’t aware we had to sign it prior to getting on the bus as we were told nothing at check in and on the other tour the day before the guide came to see us to sign it so we thought that was the correct procedure. We got on the bus which was stinking hot and stuffy, so we exited the bus to wait outside. When we hopped off the guide and bus driver were standing huddled together at the front door, and looked at us. We said it was too hot on the bus and the guide snapped at us that ‘what do you expect, it’s nearly summer in Europe, and we can’t turn the bus on until 5 minutes before we leave’. Again we did not know this and had this been explained to us politely, PROFESSIONALLY, and had she spoken to us like we were human beings then we would have been fine with that, as we were fine to wait outside. We felt so uncomfortable after the interactions with the bus driver (who was a huge intimidating guy) and the extremely rude and snappy tour guide that we approached the ticket desk to ask for our money back as we did not feel comfortable proceeding with the tour. We explained to the older lady behind the tour desk where we checked in what had happened, and that we felt extremely uncomfortable and intimidated by the aggressive bus driver and horribly rude, nasty tour guide. She pretty much dismissed our complaint and said that didn’t sound like the guide. She then proceeded to walk straight over to the bus driver and tour guide, in front of us, and they spoke in Swiss so we couldn’t understand what was being said. As if we didn’t feel uncomfortable and intimidated enough already. We are both young females so possibly as they were all older they thought that they could bully and intimidate us? Or that we didn’t matter or deserve to be spoken to like human beings. But at any rate there was no way we wanted to continue this horrible experience and asked for our money back so we could book an alternative tour. The older lady from the tour desk flatly refused despite the way we had been treated. At this point we had enough and got very upset, and we just had to walk off with no refund. We have now missed the chance to see Rhine Falls and were left extremely upset and distressed. We had such an amazing experience in Zurich, and had not come across any rude, horrible people - up until this moment. It’s left a very bad taste in our mouths and I would not return to Zurich again, let alone EVER recommend this horrendous tour company. Another note - because the company is too lazy to clean the busses after tours, you are not allowed ANY food or drink, other than water. They use the excuse that other customers ‘might not like the smell of food’. What RUBBISH! In that case let people bring food like crisps, chocolate or fruit - WHICH DOES NOT SMELL! Stop justifying your laziness at being unwilling to clean a bus but putting blame on the customers who PAY YOU. Also NO working toilets - despite there being toilets on the bus. I’m assuming again this is because they are too lazy to clean the bus at the end of the day. Just a horrible tour company all round - so be warned, they are NOT A GOOD TOUR COMPANY AND WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY! I cannot believe the whole situation and what happened, I also cannot believe the company refused to refund us considering the disgusting way their staff treated us. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A PLEASANT TRIP. They do not care about their customers and only want money. Please do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time or money as you will regret it!!!

Fantastic experience … Peter was great!

Peter was fantastic guide! We had so much fun! Although it rained at some part of the trip, we totally enjoyed it!

Transport to and from the falls was easy and comfortable with excellent verbal explanations along the way

Good tour

Great tour of the Rhine Falls and bus ride was nice. The communication was a little confusing because we weren’t given specific instructions to go straight to the boat after we had gotten off at the first stop. We purchased our ticket on the bus there, but we got separated from the guide while taking elevators down and just followed the rest of our group into the viewing entrance. By the time we found the boat ramps, our guide and others from the tour already were on the boat and we didn’t have enough time to catch a different boat. The second city is very cute and you will have time to get a crepe, gelato or a glass of local wine. I really liked Stein am Rhein, we did have severe weather hit while there, but if sunny I bet walking around the area is very enjoyable.

Amazing experience for all ages

This was a wonderful excursion! Our guide Peter was so knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating. The Rhine Falls were simply amazing and Stein Am Rhine was incredibly charming. Everyone in our group of 7 loved it, ages 16 to 87. Highly recommend.

Fantastic tour

Our tour to the Rhine Falls was spectacular that day due to all the previous rainfall, the water level was 2x more than what it normally is which made for quite a show and boat ride! Stein am Rhein is such a charming little town with delicious ice cream (recommended by Peter). Our guide was Peter who is extremely knowledgeable, funny and personable. I would highly recommend this tour and Peter!

Great rhine falls family visit

Really great excursion, certainly enough time to see the falls and the beautiful Stein/Rhein city. If you are wanting more than just enough time to see the falls and some of the castle, consider a separate visit. For our family with three small kids it was just enough time and perfect to move along and see multiple sites.

Good tour with scenic view

The falls was good but definitely shouldn't be compared against the Niagara falls. The village Stein am Rein was wonderful and a very scenic to walk around the river. Totally a time well spent on a short tour.

Book this trip

Tour to the waterfall was so much better than we expected. The force of the falls has to be seen. The boat ride is a must but you have to be warned there are a lot of ateep steps to get down to the boarding point and also lower falls viewing point. There is a viewing point at the top with minimal stairs. It was raining when we were there but still a great visit. Stein Rhein Town was closed when we arrived at 5pm but a nice walk around town for 30min. Meant to be a 1hr visit but 30min was enough with stop closures and rain.

Let me start with - this tour is well worth it & recommend The tour is busy Have cash to pay for boat ride tickets Be prepared to be time limited to squeeze it all in to half a day. The falls are very popular and a lot of people to navigate and shiffle through. Our guide was pushy for all the right reasons to ensure attendees got the best out of the tour.

Lots of fun

Such a fun trip at the falls and walking around the mid evil town. We could have done this solo but would have missed too much not knowing all there was to do.

This tour was pretty...

This tour was pretty good. With a larger group, we were a bit rushed because one large family was running late which is a chance you take with larger tours. The falls were nice and the quick boat ride was like a mini Niagara Falls experience. Stein Am Rein was very pretty. We were lucky that few people were there because it was a rainy day, but many shops were closed. The tour guide explained what to expect and was sure to point out restrooms along the way.

Rhine falls underwhelming, but enjoyable

I’m not sure why I was expecting something much bigger, but the falls do not seem that big. The 15 minute boat ride was worth it to get up close, but to compare the rhine falls and Niagara Falls in the same sentence is not fair! Stein am rhine was a very cute little stop, I had the currywurst at a spot right at the restaurant and it was very good. The tour guide provided nice history!

Ride the boat snd get closer to the Waterfalls our group enjoyed the ride just wandering why they don't provide life best

Great time

Lars and Serge were great!! My mom and I had such a fun time. We learned about the the area, got to see the falls, and explored a great city.

Beautiful but need more time!

It was a nice excursion but we had only one hour to enjoy the town. It needs to be at least two hours to say that we were really there. Otherwise, the guide, Mercel, was great, very professional and knowledgeable. Nice ride. On time.

Take the boat ride!

Beautiful scenery! The falls are amazing! Take the boat ride! The medieval town was fascinating and beautiful. Bruno our tour guide was wonderful. Our driver was great too. Would absolutely do this again!

Super Excursion

This is a fantastic excursion. We loved visiting Rhine Falls, especially going on the boat to get closer to the foot of the falls. The observation platforms were also very good. Then we had a lovely visit to the little village of Stein em Rhine which was another enjoyable part of the afternoon. Monica was a great guide who helped to make the trip enjoyable. She was knowledgeable and also very kind and personable.

Very informative tour bus with outstanding guide

Its a great trip to the Rhine Falls and Stein Am Rhine historical Site which both can be done in an afternoon trip. The boat tour option could not be missed. The guide, Lars, is knowledgeable and speak fluent in English. He also gave us a lot of local iinformation of where to go, eat, and stay within Zurich city.

Enjoyable outing, if there are no kids

A nice half day tour. But very much depends on the weather. Only issue was a couple with a small child that was screaming constantly on the bus. Eventually forcing the tour guide to step in. There should be a minimum age for the tour

Excellent half day trip from Zurich

This was an excellent half day trip. Thomas, our guide, did a good job and Sergei, the bus driver gave us a smooth ride. The falls are well worth visiting as is the optional boat ride. Stein Am Rhein is a fabulous village to visit. All in all, a good trip.

A must place to visit when in Zurich

Very reasonable prices. Easily located near city center train station. Guide spoke good English and was polite and well versed with history of Switzerland.

Spectacular

It was the most beautiful and memorable time spent in Zurich. Our tour guide, Bettina, did an excellent job navigating us through the history and cultural events of Zurich. The Rhine Falls did not disappoint. It is spectacular! A must see!

Falls were amazing. Boat ride was fun. Bus was hot and crowded. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable.

it is generally a good trip The tour operator has some misunderstanding with a group of travelers; re the tickets to go on the boat; as a result the ret of us were help up for 20 minutes. I don't know whose fault it is re the miscommunication Maybe in the tour description; you can state chf 10 to go on a boat rider near the fall; so travellers can make up their mind beforehand to pay or not to pay tpo go on the boat ride

The boat ride and travel to multiple locations for a half day excursion were attractive throughout this experience.

A great day out

The falls were beautiful and the boat trip is a must. The town of Stein am Rhein was charming with great food and drink. Monika did a great job and our driver Slavo kept us safe on the roads. Highly recommended!

Great tour!! One of our favorites in Zurich!

Outstanding tour! Loved each stop! Especially the Falls of course! And the appropriate amount of time was spent at each. My only recommendation would be to leave earlier. But that might run into lunch. Monika was very informative! Thank you!

Fabulous Waterfall

If you enjoy visiting waterfalls, this one is spectacular. The Rhine Falls was just one stop on this tour. We had plenty of time to walk around and view the waterfall from various angles. The other stops were enjoyable, but the waterfall was more than expected.

It was an amazing trip, our guide Mr Patrick was very kind and had put lot of efforts to explain us in details about each and every thing his efforts are really appreciated.

Seeing the amazing Rhein Falls up close and experiencing the cool water. Didn't appreciate the Viator clerk on site the day before our trip. She was not helpful .
