We found this activity to be over priced. It was in reality 2 bus rides, two train tickets, and a gondola ride for two.

Canary's on Tour

Breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounds, easy to access for all ages, variety of things to do and take on from self paced to semi extreme for those more enthusiastic (younger). Definately worth a visit.

Awesome experience, a must do activity in Switzerland

The activity started as planned, the check-in process was easy as they have an easy to find kiosk in the bus station. Instructions were clear and we received some tips about what places to visit first.

Best day ever!

We had a great time in Grindelwald and Mount First. Gorge and Dulce were very nice and accomodating.

Nothing but a series of painful long lines for rides that can be counted in seconds.

The entire Adventure package is ridiculous. We waited in the sun for 3hrs to ride the first 60 second zip line. Then another 1 1/2hr for the second 60 second glider zip line. Then another 1hr waiting for the first mountain carts, which to be fair, we’re a fun 20min to the Trottibikes but not worth the time waited in line. Finally we reached the Trottibikes and waited another 45min to get those for the 15min ride to the bottom. What would fix this? Reservations with set times, also, not letting people pay in line which slows everything down as well. Honestly, too much waiting for too little reward.

Ideal for solo travellers

This tour was one of my favourites in a long time, partially guided meaning you can experience the trip on your own and the tour guides give you the best tips and knowledge!

Not to be Missed in Grindelwald

For the six of us, we paid only CHF 34 per person using our half fare card. As seniors, we are not as agile anymore and so the six per cable car rule is unreasonable because it takes much time for us to load a gondola. Same is true for off loading at whatever station is chosen. Seeing that many gondolas only had 2 or 3 persons in each, we decided to split up. It was a good decision because the gondola speed was too much had we all been in one gondola. The ride up was exhilarating with the beautiful views of both the valley as well as the peaks with some snow patches. Truly awesome beauty of nature! We proceeded to the cliff walk which all of us can navigate. It was a great experience with magnificent views. The line to the last few meters is too much we decided to skip it and had coffee on the open air terrace. Very enjoyable indeed. Worth a visit.

Pre buy tickets for top of mountain activities

This could have been a great tour… but, they didn’t explain you should pre buy your tickets for the top of the mountain if you want to do anything. I got to the top and everything was sold out or a two hour wait. So I was not able to do any of the attractions. They guides were so nice! But pre buy your tickets 😊

Just a self guided tour

Even though going up to top at Grindelwald is spectacular and great, this tour is really a self guided tour. We were dropped off at Interlaken to walk around on our own then dropped off at Grindelwald again to walk around on our own and go up the mountain. The tour guide provided only instructions on how to take the train from Grindelwald back to Interlaken and find the bus on our owned. Not much guides was provided for the tour.

Great experience…… Really got a little taste of the Alps.

Love the town of Grindelwald…..I wish we could be at this town for 8 hours. It would provide more time for hiking and to see the town.

Do not do this tour!

Do not take this tour. We took the the 12 hour tour from Zurich on a Monday. The bus leaves at 8am and you do not arrive to Grindelwald until around 12:30. We had to stop in Lucerne first to pick up other people on the tour (with no restroom break). Second stop was in Interlaken for about 40 minutes to drop off some tourists on the bus who had different final destinations (not enough time to explore and enjoy the area, which is beautiful). The bus does not have any restrooms (while the tour operator told me a week before on the website chat that there were) and it took about 2.5 hours to arrive at Interlaken for the first bathroom break. Going home is the same with no bathroom break until you reach back to Zurich. When we finally arrived to Grindenwald we were told that we had to leave by 4:15 (took a train back to Interlaken and then 5:40 bus home). This means in a 12 hour tour you are only at the final destination for 3.5 hours. The tour guides (Lars and Mario?) were also not very informative. We were not sure how to buy tickets for the activities (cart, scooter, zipline, etc) and they did not explain where each one was (the Viator and Grindelwald websites are not helpful either). They also couldn’t answer our question asking that if you take a cart or scooter down hill if the lift passes will let us go up the mountain again (meaning are the lift tickets one trip only or multiple). They also blew off other guests questions, for example one person asked for a restaurant recommendation and they just relied “they are all good” and walked away from them. We took the cable car to the top and found out that the zipline was sold out, glider had a 90 minute wait and cart had a 60 minute wait. In the 3.5 hour time frame that we are given it was impossible to do more than one of these activities if you wanted to do the cliff walk and take pictures at the peak level. The website and guides didn’t inform us about the time restraints beforehand and we were upset we couldn’t do all of them (or at least two). This was a Monday during the off-season so I think any day of the week would be this bad. Please note that aside for the cliff walk of the activities cost extra (which is mentioned on the website). After doing the cliff walk and taking pictures at the peak we attempted the 60 minute wait for the cart. After an hour we gave up (since there was a least another 30 minute wait) and left the line as we were concerned about our time constraint. We went to the scooter instead which has about a 30 minute wait. We met another group from our tour on the scooter line who told us they had the same issue with all the other rides and defaulted to the scooter (I imagine the entire tour group had the same issue). We enjoyed the scooter ride (which cost 21 Francs per person) but that did not make up for missing out on all the other activities. If you go to Grindelwald First I would recommend not doing this tour and perhaps renting a car as you would need 8 or so hours to do all of the activities based on wait times and not being rushed. Overall our tour was 12 hours and we only enjoyed about 45-60 minutes of it. Once again, do not take this tour. I went on 7-8 Viator bookings during my 2 week Europe trip and enjoyed all of them except for this one.

Excellent trip. A must see attraction. The tour guide deservers applaud. The alps look beautiful. The bus ride was excellent.

Loved this journey!

The gondola ride and walk on First Grindelwald Tour-was glorious even in rainy, foggy weather! The bus trip itself is beautiful and the tour guides provided interesting information along the way. The bus driver did an excellent job and the tour guides made sure you knew where and when to be at all times. We felt very well taken care of. We were able to go off on our own whenever we were not in the bus-we like it that way. Overall excellent experience!

Grindelwald is amazing!

Grindelwald was amazing! This place is a must see! A lot of shops were closed in April, but we were able to get lunch & enjoy the town. The tour started easy, nice bus, nice guide...stop in Lucerne to pick up people, no time to get off the bus, which was unfortunate. Time in Interlaken after, a lot of shops closed in April but snacks & restrooms good. This stop seemed unnecessary. We could have used that time for Grindelwald and then people who chose to come back to Interlaken early to explore could have. An extra stop to pick up gondola tickets too. Overall fun trip, but it is what you make it. We love going to the top of Mt First, and the Cliff Walk was terrifying for me but my boyfriend loved it. Tip, if you see a little trailer/food truck just before the gondola entrance, STOP! Best fries we've ever had!!! Great place for food.

Beautiful beyond words

This was the highlight of my trip to Zurich. We spent the day seeing Interlaken, Grindlewald and even went up to First. Our tour guide was called Vladimir Patino and he was very good and his knowledge of Zurich, Interlaken and Grindelwald was great! I would 100% recommend taking this day tour and adding the First excursion onto your trip, the views are amazing up there.

UNFORGETTABLE AND THRILLING EXPERIENCE & BREATHTAKING VIEWS

AN UNFORGETTABLE LIFE EXPERIENCE! UNREAL!! Absolutely a must- do for any thrill seekers and nature lovers!! My boyfriend and I were visiting Switzerland for the first time and staying in Zurich and looked for an excursion with round trip transportation to one of the alps. This was HANDS DOWN the best choice. The view when we took the cable car up to the top of Mt First gave us chills seeing the incredibly tall mountains peeking out from the clouds. Getting to ride the mountain carts was our favorite and we wished we could have done it a second time but we chose to have lunch at the top of the mountain instead (which was also amazing! I recommend getting schnitzel and or the Swiss noodles) and ran out of time to do mountain carts a second time because by then the line was too long. We also did the Glider and the trotti bikes which were both also so thrilling! The best part was the view going down on the mountain carts and trotti bikes, it truly felt like a dream come true like we were in the Sound of Music and Julie Andrews was going to come out and sing “the hills are alive..” The tour guide was also very helpful in explaining the train situation, it was very easy to meet up with everyone and it all felt pretty seamless and convenient. This was 100% a highlight of our trip and we already want to come back and do it again!

Disappointed

This tour was a little disappointing. Our tour bus was combined with 2 other tours, which means we had a lot of stops to pick/drop off others. I feel like this wasted a lot of valuable time. The “tour guide” spoke a bit on the drive but didn’t provide much insight like you’d expect on a tour. My group was the last to be dropped off, but by that time, the tour guide had already left so we were on our own. The bus driver dropped us off near Mt First but gave us no direction on where to walk. We all got lost trying to find the entrance. Once on the mountain, we had an amazing time doing the activities. I’d recommend skipping this “tour” and just taking the train to Interlaken then to Grindelwald train station. Then buy your own tickets to Mt First. Although the drive up was beautiful, I felt like so much time was wasted just getting there and then trying to race back down to catch the bus back.

-really smooth booking process - excellent communication with the tour organizer (Amanda is such a sweetheart) - meeting point was easily accessible, our tour guide Konrad was really professional, well prepared, kind and funny - all Covid rules were well respected throughout the trip (mask, sanitation etc) I’m looking forward to book again, wonderful experience.

Fun

This was a lot of fun, amazing views, zip lining, cliff walk everything I wanted to do, was easy with the tour, all tickets prepaid so skipped the long queue at the bottom of the mountain

AWESOME

This was an awesome experience. Recommend getting there before lunch and go to the top and do both zip lines as there were no lines until after lunch. Views are amazing. This is a very long day but worth it. The connections are explained very well by the guides and very easy to hop on the trains and get back to the bus.

Amazing views best day!

Great bus ride to Grindelwald and on to Mt First. As recommended by the guide we made our way to the gondolas to get to the top before the lines started. We had no queues 😀 a little rain meant we couldn’t do the single flyer but we did the glider it was amazing, we were so high up in the soggy clouds but didn’t care, what an experience. We rode on the trike down to Bort and had a lovely lunch. The others went down on scootibike I chose the gondola 🚠 for the rest of the way. Checked out town of Grindelwald, had a coffee and headed back to waiting bus. Had a terrific time. Views amazing, a little snow but great weather. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻

Well organized adventure with caring tour guides

My partner and I decided to book the Mt First adventure tour for mid October. What a fantastic time to go, the weather was great and there was next to no traffic on the roads or on the mountain. The day started off at Sihlquai bus station where we easily showed our mobile ticket and met our tour guide and was shown to our bus. Our tour guide was Minu and she was a very caring amazing tour guide. She thoroughly explained everything to us which helped immensely. We were the only group on the bus doing the Mt First tour so we had to stay on the bus by our selves bear he end but the bus driver was helpful in pointing us in the right direction. The voucher that you get from the tour guide is exchanged at the ticket counter for a “3 attraction pass” meaning you can choose 3/4 flyer, glider, mountain cart and trotti bike and includes unlimited cable car rides. We omitted the glider and had an amazing time. Also recommend doing the Tissot cliff walk at the top of the mountain if you aren’t afraid of heights. We had arrived at Mt First at 11.45, which was ample time to explore and enjoy Grindelwald and the mountain at this time of year. We casually enjoyed the mountain, completed 3 of the rides and still hopped on the train to Interlaken an hour early. 5 hours was more than enough time for October. Our bus was about 15 minutes late to pick us up from Interlaken which had us a little worried being the only couple but it was all good. Overall the company managed everything quite well and the tour guides were amazing. The day itself was an absolute highlight for my girlfriend and I and we would highly recommend it for anybody who enjoys a touch of adrenaline and good scenes.

Cable Cars, Zip Lines, Big Wheels and Bikes

This is the most amazing adventure through the Swiss Alps! Beautiful scenic drives and all sorts of picturesque places to see!

I didn’t try it as it was too high fir me, I don’t like heights, I sat and saw the people coming down from the top to the middle cable car station , they seem to like it , I wouldn’t try it

we had the BEST day at Grindelwald!! The only complaints I have are that it took us 4hrs to get there from Zurich which wasted a lot of the morning. We had to stop in Lucerne to pick up people and then a break stop to get food. We left Zurich at 8am and got to the start of the cable car by noon. I would rather rent a car and drive ourselves there so you can spend the day. By the time we got to the cable cars we only had 4hrs to spend there. I would have loved to stay a few more hours. we couldn't do the clif walk because of the weather but we did everything else The line for the zip line was 45min, not bad at all. Totally worth it. my fav part was the mountain carts driving down. The scooters were a little hard to balance on and you have to go slow so you dont fall or get hurt. They also dont tell you that when they give you the voucher for the cable car that is your tix for all the activities and you had to line up with eveyrone else who was buying tix to redeem the voucher which was over 30min wait. The tour company should have just given us the actual tix instead of a voucher so we didn't have to line up so long to redeem it.

Beautiful, yet thrilling trip

For me it was partly guided tour, you get full explanations and maps, and here you go for an adventure!! Going on top - is easy part, just sit and enjoy scenery while in cabin.On top you can have some drinks or snacks.Going down is 3 parts FUN!! You can choose Flyer (solo) or Glider (3ppl) experience.Unfortunately it was windy day, and we could not chose Flyer, but Glider was fun too.Mountain cart - really nice ride down, but be careful making turns on wavy mountain road :) Last part- scooter-bike ride, enjoy scenery riding down and don`t go to fast. Really enjoyable trip, and it all depends how good driver you are.Be careful and ENJOY!!!

Mount First is one of the Most Beautiful Place

<p>You are on your own and it isn't so easy to find your way. It's a really good excursion But the day we went the weather was bad-raining and ZERO visability. We got lost finding our way up to the top and when we finally got there, we were informed that the zip line was closed!! BUT they had just opened the Eagle flight, we were thrilled to do it even though it was Zero visability it was fun and adventurous!! <br/> We took the the mountain carts down to the next level-also fun But were advised not to take the scooters in the rain for the third part down.<br/> Fantastic day-Instructions not clear enough- But definitely a great day for adventurous people!!!</p>

<p>The tour itself was so amazing! One of the most fun days I have ever experienced, and the views on top of Mount First, and the whole way down, are truly incredible. I went on a Saturday, so be prepared to be waiting in line for each activity. We weren't expecting this, and it was a bit of a rush to catch the bus at the end as a result. The only negative I have was that the tour company was a bit disorganized. They put the wrong meeting address on our voucher, and we were almost late for the bus from Zurich, and they forgot to give us the correct voucher to redeem for all of the activities, and as a result, we had to wait in a long line, and almost had to pay again. Other than these two instances of frustration, the actual activities are great, adventurous, and so much fun. Would 100 recommend!</p>

My experience with First Trip Top...

<p>My experience with First Trip Top Adventure was great! Leaving the place on time and the guide named Michelle shared information<br/> on Switzerland which are very interesting. She is very accommodating as well. The only thing that saddened us is the fact that we were not able to try all the adventure rides because of the long queue in the First Flyer which took us around two hours. But it is really worth the wait! We only wish though that we had longer hours.</p>

From the organization, to the transportation, to the activities, and most important to the views, everything was top notch. A day I will certainly never forget! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is good for all ages and certainly need to be some sort of dare devil in you!</p>
