Yummy Fondue Tour

This tour was very fun and authentic experience. We got to check out the Lindt store and auditorium. The cable car up to the fondue restaurant was fun. And the fondue was phenomenal. Our tour guide was friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed every minute!

This experience was amazing and we had the best tour guide ever!! (unfortunately I can't remember his name but it started with an M). It ended up being a private tour because no one else signed up for it, me and my friend had the best time and got to see so much, the dinner and cheese fondue was also amazing. This tour is totally worth the money if you are looking for a good overview tour if Zürich to see a little bit of everything.

Meeting people from around the world and having dinner together. Conrad our host was a pleasure! Loved stopping at the harbor and taking the cable car to dinner.

Fantastic time! Peter was amazing and so kind. Absolutely worth the experience. The Lindt factory was so fun and the fondue was divine!

A fun night to see the area outside Zurich

Andy the tour guide was kind and informative. The gift shop at Lindt was a great stop. The dinner was wonderful. We didn’t have good weather but it was beautiful regardless

Great easy Tour with dinner

Andy was an amazing tour guide! We loved the tour as we got to do the Lindt chocolate shop which we wouldn't have done otherwise and the gondola and views from the restaurant were amazing. We got the cutest swiss cow mugs after the dinner and we recommend this experience to say you have done fondue the right way!!!!

Delicious fondue, excellent guide

The best tour by far and the guide, Peter, was fantastic! While it was a little rainy, the views were still amazing and the fondue delicious. You definitely don’t leave hungry! Only downside was the bus. We were packed in fairly tight and the seats weren’t very comfortable. However you didn’t spend too much time in the bus, so it didn’t detract too much.

Scenic overload.

The dinner at the top of the hill with the evening view of the Alps. The full moon over the Alps was very beautiful.

Disappointed

That was a dinner and top of a Swiss Alp where you have to walk up a mountain in dirt and dust to get to a dinner that is served with frozen tater tots and onion rings with frozen pizza bread cut up into squares then they serve a salad to share it with the table and a swallow of wine. you say on top of the Mountain for over 3 hours so that you are encouraged to purchase beverages such as beer and wine and you are so thirsty from walking up the mountain that the wine is just to quench your thirst you do not tour the Lindt t chocolate factory it is a stop for you to purchase chocolates not tour the Chocolate Factory also this tour is not as described because the fondue cheese and bread come at the very end as you are about to leave the top of the mountain to return back to the tour bus by which time you are exhausted and ready to go. the best part was the people that I met that were from all over the world and extremely nice and kind the other parts that were nice with the view from the top of the mountain that was amazing however none of this is described and detailed for the description of the tour and people need to know that they have to walk and excessive distance to get to the dinner that is not a dinner it's frozen tater tots and onion rings and pizza bread that's cut up into squares for you to eat bite-sized this is way too much money to spend to eat food that you can eat at home from Walmart. And I didn't want to go to Lindt to only shop for candy I can purchase in USA

Swing and a miss…

Our guide was terrific! Helpful, calm in the face of a rowdy group and patient. However, this ‘tour’ was not worth taking. The view was the best part of the outing. There was a ‘visit’ to the Lindt factory without being able to tour the facility. It’s literally a stop to buy chocolate, which you can do anywhere. The description suggests walking, there was virtually none. So for some maybe that’s good. The Swiss dinner was eh🤷‍♀️ not great definitely you could book a fondue meal anywhere for less $$. Overall a swing and a miss. Skip this one!

Chocolates, cable car, Swiss fondue and Monika. The best.

Our guide, Monika , was so very good; knowledgeable, fun,helpful and a good driver. She was so kind to give other helpful information about traveling in Switzerland when I asked. The restaurant was in an amazing location. To top it off the food was great and the host fun and delightful. The short stop at the Lindt Chocolate factory enabled me to sample yummiest, and get my gifts for my family . I highly recommend this tour and ask for Monika.

Average tour

We were excited to go on this tour however dont be fooled that you are going on a food tour it is not that at all. We were collected at 3.45pm at the station there was only 3 of us on the tour. The traffic was quite busy getting out of the town, we were then told we were stopping at the harbour for pictures which wasnt on the itinerary. Because of this and the traffic it ended up us having 10 minutes to look around the Lindt factory outlet as the shop shut at 5pm. We then went to get in our cable car and go to the top of the mountain for dinner. The dinner was nice, setting stunning , the Fondue was average and the starters basically fried food. I feel a bit cheated by this tour!

Disappointed

Since I was only in Zurich for 1 day. I thought it thru to just have a morning and evening/afternoon trip. The Guide was not that great and he gave us minimum info if we ask he will answer but he doesn’t tell us anything him self. The Lindt shop is only a Quick shop to but Lindt .. the cable car ride up to the dinner spot was okay. The fondue was a bit disappointing! We only got bread and cheese? (Like we paid a fortune for a ride up to this place as this is all we got??? I think it’s a bit overpriced for the thing they offer.

Exceptional

The tour was excellent and the food was good. I have always wanted to go to the Lindt chocolate store and buy their chocolate. It is the best in the world in my opinion.

Chocolate and Fondue, what is better!

Franz made this experience even better with his personal touches of the tour. The meal at the top of the mountain was wonderful, from the wine to the appetizers and then the awesome Fondue. The directions to the bus area was a bit limited....an address and street intersection would have been beneficial. This was a true experience.

Beautiful views with traditional Swiss Fondue

We enjoyed the small group and our guide, Franz. We were able to talk and get to know the other couples, which was made this a wonderful experience. The weather was great and we had a clear view of the lake and Zürich. The Lindt factory was ok but it was just a shop. The cable car ride and dinner were the highlights.

Quick overview of city and great food

Monika took us around Zürich, stopping by Lake Zurich and the Lindt chocolate factory store on our way to dinner. We ate appetizers, salad, and traditional Swiss fondue high above the city. Finished off with chocolate cake. The cable car trip up and views from the restaurant patio were amazing. Wine and food included in the price, great value for the cost and Monika was a great hosts.

Worth it!

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Monica, our tour guide, was wonderfully helpful and very knowledgeable. We learned quite a bit about Swiss culture in general and Zurich in particular. Our group was small (6), which made for a very enjoyable experience. Both the food and the view from Felsenegg were spectacular!

Great views, chocolates and dinner

We enjoyed the views and information from the tour guide, about the city, culture and others. The Lindt shop was very big and has some photo spots and delicious options. The cableway trip was short but nice. Walking through the woods was exciting, however, it could be better having a flashlight for returning in the night. The restaurant served some snacks, the delicious cheese fondue and a chocolate cake. We were a small group and could chat and share dinner with other travellers. We took very good memories at home.

Great excursion!

We did this tour last month with Monica as our guide. It was a wonderful way to spend our last afternoon in Zurich. The cost was the one factor in my not giving is a 5 star review. It is a bit pricey. But I feel that. overall, it is worth it. The stop at the Lindt factory is just a shopping stop, no real info into the chocolate making process. That being said, the rest of the stops were excellent. We stopped just on the edge of Lake Zurich for a photo stop before heading on to Felsenegg. Monica was charming and informative. She answered all our questions and was full of historical facts. The cable car ride was lovely. Felsenegg and the dinner were excellent. The food was delicious. Eating outside on the patio, wrapped in blankets, and enjoying the Alpine sunset were a wonderful way to end our trip to Zurich. Thank you Monica!

Great tour with beautiful views

This tour was a great experience. Our guide was very friendly and informed, and the transportation provided between stops was very comfortable. I appreciate that our guide pulled over for notably picturesque stops for a photo opportunity! I found the tour less of a culinary tour and more one that emphasized different viewing stops. As others have said, the "chocolate sampling" at the Lindt outlet is a single milk chocolate Lindt truffle offered as you walk into the store. I would have loved to see an artisan Swiss chocolatier or perhaps a view into the chocolate making experience at Lindt to make the stop feel a bit more special. Regardless, it was still nice seeing the full selection of Lindt chocolates and many in my group stocked up. The fondue dinner that followed was really tasty, and the restaurant is in a very scenic location. This is a great activity to do, especially if you'd like to take in some hilly, mountain views!

The cheese fondue was yummy though most of the guests liked the non-alcoholic variety better, the salad was spectacular, and appetizers really good. And yes, now you get tap water with your meal, as well as a glass of wine.</p>

<p>This tour experience was absolutely incredible. Our guide was highly engaged and helpful while bringing us all around Zurich. The tour begins with a van tour of Zurich and a picturesque stop to view the Alps over Lake Zurich. After that it is off to the Lindt chocolate factory outlet store. Chocolate sampling is a bit of a loose term as you only get 1 truffle and then are expected to buy additional Lindt chocolate. Not necessarily a bad thing, just be prepared to spend some extra money. After that we went up to the restaurant in a little cable car and the views were outstanding. Once at the top we walked through the woods and were met with mugs of delicious and hot mulled wine and appetizers as we admired the view. The sun was setting and you can see all of Zurich, the river and even the Alps. I could recommend this tour on those views alone. eventually we went into the restaurant for a 3 course meal and it was delicious. We had salad, cheese fondue and chocolate cake. The food was amazing and I would definitely like to return to this restaurant some day. It is important to note that only the salad, fondue and cake inside the restaurant are included in your tour price. If you want anything else including water you must pay for it out of pocket. After dinner concluded, our guide took us back to the bus terminal while still providing insight about Zurich. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Swiss fondue and breathtaking views.</p>

I had such an amazing experience. We had this tour with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was the best choice!! ! Such a nice place, cozy, staff hyper friendly, they even explained us how to eat the fondue :) Lot of food! Go hungry!!! Amazing views from the Felsenneg Car. I just loved the tour, the cheese, the restaurant, the view, and Zurich!! Would highly recommend to everyone wanting to do something special.

It includes a quick trip to the Lindt outlet where our guide showed us how to tell which chocolates were made locally and purchases could be made. </p> <p>The dinner is at Felsenegg which is the same hilltop restaurant you visit on the Zurich City Highlight tour. A heavy mist had settled in at the hilltop making the evening seem a little magical. The appetizers and mulled wine outside started the meal. Then inside sitting family-style, our tour guide showed us how to enjoy a fondue dinner making sure not to lose our bread in the cheese. No one had to do dishes!</p>

<p>The two of us thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon/evening tour. It was just the right amount of guided time while still leaving us to explore in the morning on our own before we met up with the group. </p> <p>Monika was our tour guide and her knowledge of Zurich was apparent in the thoughtful facts she shared about her city as well as knowing how to reroute the tour on a moment's notice when holiday traffic would have cause substantial delays in the city portion of the drive. Cool as a cucumber!</p> <p>The tour itself was well paced. We drove out of town and to the chocolate factory outlet. Despite not being about to see the factory itself for health reasons, the store didn't disappoint. Lindt had just set up their holiday store as well which meant 2x the chocolate, the samples, and the joys of chocolate outlets. As this was only a shopping outing, we didn't spend too much time there but had enough to stock up on holiday gifts. (Pro tip: the lower store had a discount voucher to use at the holiday shop, so go there first for 10% off your purchase in the winter wonderland of chocolate!) </p> <p>Beautiful views of the lake as we made our way to the cable car. Riding up the mountain at twilight meant terrific city views. We arrived at our dinner spot and were greeted outside by folks with mulled wine and appetizers. We took our time getting inside and then settled in for dinner. </p> <p>Family-style around a table, we all shared a few pots of fondue, salad, and dessert. The service here was excellent and this was hands down the best cheese fondue either of us has ever had. True to Swiss culture, this meal was shared openly as a group and was not rushed. Monika made recommendations for wine pairings (at an optional fee) which I'm glad we took. </p> <p>We returned down the cable car, into the shuttle, and fought off the food coma long enough to hear Monika's city tour as we returned to the car park. Smiles on our faces, warm food in our stomachs, and holiday shopping nearly complete! Highly recommend.</p>
