A Terrific Trip

We took the Yangtze 3 from Yichang to Chongqing. What a terrific 5 day trip - impressive dam, scenic river, mystical gorge, sparkling new ship, and fellow passengers who were truly kind. We two were the only English-speaking passengers on board but the crew made sure that we, and everyone else, had a wonderful trip. Unlike other boat trips, this cruise includes all excursions. One tip: for a more intimate dining experience and bar, book a suite.

An amazing experience....one for the bucket list...

Yangtze Gold 8 River Cruise Yichang to Chongqing Johnson was our contact for booking the tour and he did an amazing job (Chengdu Bamboo International Tours). The cruuse was incredible! Amazing scenery and always something thing to do with the extra day tours that are part of the itinerary. I suggest doing the ship lift on the Three Gorges Tour, quite an experience and worth the money. I also strongly suggest you upgrade the meal package and dine in the upstairs dining rooms with small groups and a separate buffet. Much more relaxing. The boat was OK, it felt a little damp and it's time for an upgrade of facilties, but overall excellent value for the money.

Five relaxing days on Victoria Sabrina

We really enjoyed the Cruise on Victoria Sabrina. It’s a very new ship. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the crew very friendly and helpful! We were the only west people on the ship and on the ship as well as on the excursions they translated everything in English - just for four persons!

Would go again

We cruised on the Yangtze River Explorer 4. The ship was beautiful with spacious rooms and excellent cabin attendants. The spacious bar/ social gathering room had plenty of windows to watch the beautiful views. The dining room was spacious and had excellent food and attentive service. I had some food allergies and they made dishes for me. So appreciative! There were plenty of activities such as learning about traditional Chinese Accupuncture, scarf tying, making dumplings, mah jhong lessons, and lectures about the gorges to name a few. We did the shore excursions as well. The rooms had balconies to relax at the end of the day. I can hardly wait to go again!

Beautiful scenery, fabulous excursions, wonderful experience

We embarked at Yichang and sailed to Chongquing. Apart from the first 24 + hours spent moored in Yichang, the scenery we passed was spectacular. We went on all of the optional excursions which were fantastic, despite some being quite tiring. Our ship, the MV Victoria Anna, was very well appointed, our cabin was spacious and comfortable, and the cruising was very smooth. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The dining room was a little cramped, our tour had to stick to the same two tables near the windows for all meals, which meant that someone was always' trapped', making buffets difficult to access. The bar had a limited choice of drinks, but the staff were very welcoming and chatty. The staff put on evening entertainment and daytime talks/ workshops. A wonderful experience.

President no 8 Five star.

Vi åkte med en gruppresa från Yichang till Chongqing, 4 nätter. Fartyget är ett av de nyaste på floden Yangtze. Mycket fina hytter med balkong. Det ingick helpension och så valde vi till dryckespaketet för 600 yuan för två personer. Maten tycker jag var utmärkt. Deltog man inte i utflykterna så kunde man titta runt i de små presentbutikerna, lära sig thai-chi, akupunkturföreläsning mm. De fanns också biograf men det kostade! Så även att bada den lilla poolen kostade! Tycker det skulle vara gratis. Wifi fick man betala för om man ville ha det. Men det fungerade ändå inte. Det fanns 460 gäster men ändå fungerade det bra med maten och organisationen med guiderna på utflykterna. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam.
