Amazing memories!

Back from our first visit to legoland. And the legoland hotel. We visited for our sons 6th birthday. And we had a fantastic time! We were prepared for queues. Expected at any theme park, there are a lot, of long queues! Maybe limit the amount of fast-track passes? We managed to get on every ride we wanted, in the two days we stayed. The pirate show was great! Would have liked to see characters walking around the park. We were lucky to see some at breakfast in the hotel. But none throughout the day. Staff at the park were helpful and friendly. Nearly all, wished our son a happy birthday! Everywhere was clean. It was spotless! The food was expensive, which is expected. But quality could be better. Our hotel room was great. Loved the pirate theme. Our little one thoroughly enjoyed the treasure quest. And his little gift! We had the best time. And have amazing memories! We will definitely be back!

Great visit overall

We are glad that we got the 2 day pass as this allowed us to experience all areas of the park. The first day was brilliant, not too busy so the wait times weren’t too bad. Average wait time on the first day was around 10/15 minutes. We watched the pirate show on the first day which was great. We had our own food on the first day which was also a big bonus. We paid the £16 for the refillable cup (when looking at the drink prices around the park we were glad we got this and made sure to get our moneys worth.) The second day was a lot busier so wait times more than doubled from the previous day. Average wait time 30/45 minutes. Some rides had broken down the second day too, one whilst my daughter was on (the driving school cars.) After a long wait in the queue this was disappointing, my daughter took it well but other younger kids were upset. Pros: If you go on a quieter day it’s excellent, wait times are reasonable. I would say this is perfect for 6/7 year olds, some queues seemed to be too much for younger children. The app was great, definitely recommend. The park was clean and the toilets smelled of bubblegum. As an adult I enjoyed the dragon, flight of the sky lion and the speedway rides. I recommend getting a refillable cup and sharing it between you. My daughter aged 6 loved it. The model villages were very impressive. There were plenty of toilets dotted around the park. Cons: The sky rider was shut for the two days we were there. Some rides broke down or some parts not working. No clear opening times for the food stalls/restaurants. Some shut two hours before the park shut. Food was expensive and not a lot of variety. You have to pay £10 for parking per day or £8 in advance! Busier days definitely impact your visit and can be difficult for the smaller children. We travelled 4 hours to get here and would say it was worth it with the 2 day pass.

Great time despite challenges - thank you Legoland

I wanted to write review as I received some excellent service and some really kind moments from the Legoland staff during my recent visit. Regrettably upon arrival for our 2 day visit my husband was very ill and as such couldn’t leave the room for the fu two days As a result I had to manage for 2 days with a 2 year old and an 8 year old. This was an experience for my 8 year olds birthday so we decided to stay even though he was devastated by the fact his dad couldn’t even make it into his part of the room let alone outside during our visit(to try and avoid the sickness moving to any of the rest of us!) During my visit the exceptional customer service received included; staff riding with him so he could go on a ride without me (it required 2 people) , guest services resolving an issue with my ticket days which was my fault, it was resolved without question, Legoland staff at concierge agreeing to letting us have the room until mid-day this meant that I could leave my sick husband in the room and use the 2nd day of the two day pass we have bought, staff genuinely trying to help during breakfast and dinner as they could see the struggles of a toddler and 8 year old. Finally staff on the horse carousel checking for birthdays and signing to those whose birthdays it was. Despite all the challenges we faced and that we didn’t get a full second day my Son and Daughter had a great time, so many great memories and we loved the Lego through the whole park. So inspiring that this weekend my son completed his last Lego set he had been struggling with. Thank you Legoland, we will be back.

A amazing experience

A fantastic family day out, everything was spotless and all staff were extremely friendly! I’d highly recommend going!

Be prepared to stay hours to be able to ride once and eat trash food paying premium prices

The place is too busy, lots of attractions were closed. The playgrounds with tube sliders closed, But the food is the worse part… everything is extremely expensive and so poor quality, literally only junk food is available poorly prepared cheap ingredients and overpriced. Hot dog 8,75, a horrible burger 13,50. Won’t come back very soon

What a mixed bag

We stayed at the new Woodland cabins and had a 2-day ticket to the theme park. Pros: Ava at the Woodland restaurant was an amazing server. The dinner was great (however, average value for money) and breakfast was also very good (included). The theme park was as we expected, not busy as it was off-peak and the queues were very short. A few attractions and restaurants were closed unfortunately, but it was still more than what we could see in the 2 days. Cons: The Woodland cabins are not fit or polished (See photos). - There was no hot water at night, so this threw out the kids' whole routine. - My son slipped and fell in the COLD shower as there are no grippy pads. - There's a txt/SMS line in the room, but I'm still waiting for a response! - Shampoo and hand-soap swapped in the bathroom - Timber is unsanded/unfinished throughout, so watch your clothes and hands! - Unfinished paint jobs everywhere is a perfect representation of the whole. - Theme park staff are uninterested, lackadaisical and generally a malaise on the whole experience. - Prices are what they are.

June two day stay

We stayed in the woodland lodge for my daughter’s birthday. Absolutely loved it! The lodge its self was beautiful and so homey we really didn’t want to leave! Staff in the clubhouse are wonderful so polite and all clearly take pride in their jobs. They went the extra mile to make my daughter feel so special on her birthday. Service in the restaurant was brilliant and there were no waits at all. Food came quickly and was lovely. The servers were so attentive and couldn’t have done more for us! The park was also brilliant the first day was a little busy due to an event. But over our stay we managed to do everything we planned to. And again the park and ride staff are all kind and wonderful with the children. We can’t wait to come back again!

Wonderful

We did 2 days at the park with an over night stay. The park was lovely and clean. There’s an app that shows you wait times, shows and character meets. The pirate show is worth a watch. We brought a reusable cup (£16 on site cheaper to pre buy online) where you can refill as much as like within the park at the many stations available. It’s Coke, Fanta, Dr Pepper, lemonade and ice tea (plus different flavours). You can “recharge” (£6) the cup for any other day you want to use it. The amount we used it made it worth it for us. The hotel was also lovely and clean. We stayed in a pirate theme room which was great. Tea & coffee station and fridge in the room. Loads of space and lots of little touches which was great (treasure hunt to unlock the safe). The little kids room could sleep up to 3 and had its own tv. Table & chair in the main room. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful (same in the park and restaurants). Food was good. We ate at the bricks restaurant for tea and breakfast, was a bit worried as it has some not great reviews but we enjoyed ours, it was very nice. £23 for 2 courses or £30 for 3. Kids were cheaper although we ordered off the under 3 menu (free). Quick service. Breakfast was help yourself continental and cereal, you order hot food/pancakes. Was nice. In the park there’s lots of stands that sell hot dogs, ice cream, doughnuts etc. We ate in the pirates burger place which was ok and again tad expensive (£14 for adult meals, £7.50 for kids). Had sandwiches the second day from the cafe which were £5.50 and not worth it, bread was crusty & overall not that nice.

Terrible place!!

Very disappointing few days! We stayed at the Castle Hotel, the room was fab but that is the only positive thing I have to say about our stay. The staff were horrendously rude, I don’t think I seen a smile on any of their faces the whole time we were there!, this really needs to be looked at, as it ruined our whole experience. The food was mediocre despite being extortionate! £24.95 for a basic cheeseburger, chips & a cola. My son is disabled & uses a wheelchair so the RAP was a god send but organising it was ridiculously stressful, as it needed to be booked 7 days in advance - I was informed of this 5 days before we went whilst arranging something else & when I couldn’t book 2 of the days of our stay, I was advised the only option I would have would be to cancel the whole trip or rearrange the dates!! Really poor customer service, I finally managed to get it sorted but it meant I had to log in to the app at 9.30am on both the days to get a cancellation - there is no need for, this much needed service to be so difficult!! 3 of the rides were closed for maintenance - we didn’t discover this until we arrived so definitely worth looking in to before booking to save any disappointment. Our room had a call bell for emergencies, unfortunately our youngest son pulled this by mistake on the 1st night - I’m so glad it was an accident & not an actual emergency as we ended up having to go down to reception to get someone to come & reset it and even then this wasn’t done properly, so we had to go back down - this was all at 11.30pm whilst 2 kids were trying to sleep in the room!! My advice would be to listen to all the reviews because legoland really isn’t a nice place to holiday, it cost us over £2000 and certainly was not worth that expense.

Great 2 night stay

We had an amazing 2 days (family of 2 adults and 3 children ). Children were back in school so the park was quiet with barely any wait times on rides. The rides we enjoyed most was Hydras challenge and the flight of the sky lion was amazing! We stayed at the Legoland resort hotel and had no issues. The children loved the evening entertainment and the character meets at the hotel each morning. The room was very clean and the theming thought the whole hotel was lovely. This was our 3rd visit to the resort and we will definitely be back.

Cancelled accommodation 6 days before visit!

Booked the premium lodge to accommodate our whole family as their Christmas present in 2023. 6 days before we were due to go they informed us the lodge we booked is not available so our group had to be spread over two lodges. The options cancel and re book, not an option 6 days before travelling or cancel with refund, again not an option for 4 excited children. £100 pound refund and vouchers but not as we wanted they must have known before and probably made good interest on our 871.95 paid well in advance. Very disappointing

Lovely visit to woodland village

We went on the opening day of the woodland village. It was absolutely amazing, the staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. My only issue was the car park for it wasn’t sign posted well enough. The lodges themselves were so thought out and it was magical for my kids. The park itself was great. If you go knowing it’s going to be expensive and you will have to queue then that just is what it is. We planned both days with what we wanted to go on and ate during the queues. Yes the park itself some of it has aged. But it isn’t going to be brand new, the park was clean and any staff you stopped for directions etc were all helpful. We had a lovely time and can’t wait to go back, some lovely memories, although will need to save up again for it 🤣

I wouldn’t say we didn’t enjoy it but I won’t say either that we liked it. 1st day (Monday) was not good as it was long queue everywhere. But 2nd day was smooth (we’re guessing because it was back to school after half term). We went to Pasta and Pizza restaurant for lunch, and it’s an “Eat all you can” resto. I’d say it’s not worth it for £21 per adult but it’s a theme park so I guess everything is pricey. I think what we really liked in the park was the Miniland.

WAITING EXPERIENCE - not recommended

Terrible experience. We flew from Ireland just to visit Legoland with my son for his birthday. Just for 2 of us we spent over €900 for this experience (plus flights). Our friend visited few years ago and during his stay, hotel guests had an early access to the Lego park. That was the main reason to choose Legoland Resort, but during our stay there was no early access. At the very opening we entered a queue to the first ride and waited over an hour. Every next ride had a waiting time from 45 to 90 minutes. So, after 3 rides my son was so tired and resigned that he wanted to go back to the room and sleep. Imagine waiting for 45 minutes to get to the Haunted House for the ride that lasts 5 minutes. Complete disappointment. The following morning (Monday - working day) we went first to try the boats and again even though we were there as early as possible we waited for 35 minutes. IT IS NO MORE THAN A WAITING EXPERIENCE. People who purchased the skip the queue option were not happy either as they too had to wait, only half of the time we did. There was rubbish on the room floor on our arrival. I paid £100 extra for my son to get a birthday bundle on his arrival in the room, but it was not there. We had to collect it the next day from the hotel shop. Breakfast was inedible (see photo for my full english breakfast). Black coffee was included. Latte was £4.5. Drinks vending machines were empty (see photo). Fries and chicken nugets were £13.5. Check-out time is crazy early at 10am. The hotel Lego playroom is not open until 3pm. My son loves Lego and wanted to play with them and gave up on long wait for park rides but since we had to leave our room so early, we just went for one ride, some lego shopping and left for the airport. His 8 year old opinion is that our local funderland is less tiering and more fun.

We had a great time

Was really good. Not much of a wait time. Food is ridiculous though so take your own. We stayed at the new Lego land hotel they advised you get a free Lego gift and it was just a branded flag so the girls were a bit disappointed. But other than that and a few minor issues from a new hotel. It was really good.

An enjoyable trip.

We went to Legoland as a family and had a really good time. Of course everything is expensive but its a theme park so we went with this expectation. A slight downside was the food was very average but it was of a standard you could eat. Park has things for everyone. One big issue we had was the queue times are completely out. As a rule of thumb, always expect to queue double the stated time. The worst we had was we joined a queue with a 10 min wait time, waited and hour. Still after we got off it was showing a 10 min wait time.

Spenny by but worth it!

This was quite spenny adventure but my two kids, 5 and 3 had the best time. There was enough rides for little to go on and enough for my eldest. The staff made them feel so special, they sang happy birthday to them at the restaurant and helped them swap pop badges! I would 100% recommend staying at the resort, it was just so magical watching their faces!

Wonder park but price gouging leaves a bad taste...

A great amusement park, rides and activities are very good. Huge park and you could spend an entire day there. Kids loved the roller coasters and the 4D/virtual reality offering, Flight of the skyline , ninjago. The food/lunch offering is awful. The cost of food in a confined amusement park is so over priced it is disgraceful . There is a high entrance cost, which is to be expected , high running costs . But , Limp soggy and some how stale sandwiches, coffee for 4 pounds ? Hot dogs 9 pounds? the only option if you call it that , is the pasta pizza resturaunt which for 2 adults and 2 kids , cost is 65 pounds.. This is such a let down for parents who want to treat their kids , to be gouged like this is a disgrace.

Disappointment and broken rides

My daughter and I went to Legoland for her first time during half-term week of May 2024. The queues were long, with minimum wait time of 30 minutes for baby rides, and ~80 minutes for more thrilling rides. The MOST frustrating part was that 2 of the rides that we queued for broke whilst we were either at the front of the queue or as soon as they started. The first time was the Dino Coaster: "the gate malfunctioned, not the ride, just the gate because people are pushing it". The second time was the Monster Party House - "a technical issue" - no other explanation, but please leave... It's great that they spot issues, but not great when you spend 40 minutes to an hour waiting to get on a ride only to be told it's broken! And worse still, there's no compensation for your wasted time. Not even a, "Get off, but here's a token, come back when it's running again and you can go back to front of the queue. Sorry for wasting your time". Going the extra mile? No, they just want you to pay extra. They also fill the rides with 2/3s people with fast passes, I'm guessing this is to cause as much pain and frustration to people in the normal queue as possible so they re-mortgage and buy a fast-pass. Will not go to Legoland again as there are better parks in the UK.

Don’t stay at Woodland Village hotel

Legoland Park is great. Hotel is mediocre. Service at hotel. restaurant is has poor service and poor food and high price. Our room in the new woodland village had a cold shower - texted the QR code for help- no response - got dressed and walked to front desk (no phone in room)- they just said they can reset and can’t fix till morning- offered a room switch but not practical since child was sleeping- I’m sure I’ll get some textbook. Sorry about your experience, but I find it complete joke that they don’t have a maintenance staff working at night. It wasn’t super late. It was only 10 PM. What a joke of construction when they don’t even test a faucet - turns out the hot and cold were reversed. So much for quality control they didn’t even test if the shower worked!!!

Underwhelming!

We stayed in the park as it’s quite a long journey for us so we had the second day in the park free as part of our stay, which we felt was good value for money. However found the overall park a bit disappointing. Given that a lot of the attractions are aimed at fairly young children, the queue times were long which is difficult to do multiple times with young children. The reserve and ride additional option to queue jump was frankly annoying. We would reach the front of a queue with an excited 4 year old and have to wait even longer as groups would come to the front and go on ahead. Given the cost of admission it feels a bit unfair. The food and drink in the park is extortionately priced. Would have expected to see some characters around the park again, for the younger children’s entertainment. Didn’t feel as special as we had hoped in honesty.

Gone downhill since our last visit

This was our second visit to Legoland Windsor, this time a two day break. The kids enjoyed it, but the queues were ridiculous, the queue time estimators completely inaccurate, and the 'couldn't care less' attitude of the majority of the staff was really disappointing.

Great place to visit but long queues are not child friendly

The sights to see are great and there are many areas with dedicated themes like egypt, ninjago, miniland etc. When it comes to rides, most of them are focused for children so they are not too scary, which is a good thing for family visitors, however, the queues at busy times are ridiculous. How can anybody expect their 3 to 12 year old children to wait for 45 to 55 minutes for a 2 minute thrill; and then repeat the same process all over again, and again; to eventually spend 3 hours doing nothing more than just 3 rides. Yes, the counter argument can be that its normal during busy times, but still, its not useful to invite 3 to 12 year old children to the park and then make them stand in 1 hour long queues for 2 minute thrills. Atleast have a maximum capacity limit to avoid over crowding people on same day.

An overpriced experience with queuing times longer than 60 minutes

An overpriced experience with queuing times longer than 60 minutes. We spent 5 hours there on the first day and only managed 4 rides. Unless you have a schedule and rush from one ride to the next in order to meet the sea of people who are also rushing then you will be just standing and queuing to get on a ride that takes less than 5 minutes. I would have expected at least some entertainment for the children who are also expected to stand and wait for that length of time. The food is below average and so expensive and rubbish to say the least. My 6 year old had a nice time but I think I will be taking him to other places in future where the experience, service and food is a lot better.

Teenage Family weekend at Legoland

Great weekend but staff weren't great at policing the access queues properly so the regular queues were ridiculously long. Kids loved Flight of the sky lion the best so went on it a few times. It was more emersive than anything we've been on before. Long queues so aim to get there at the start of the day. Disappointed that the splash ride was closed and not warned prior to arrival. Poor onsite food choices and legoland app not user friendly for allergies. Overall a good weekend but needs improvements. Stayed at De Vere hotel which was great for families with teenagers as two bedrooms connected each with its own bathroom, but doors to heavy to prop open so no good for younger kids. Pool ok but not staffed and confusing on where to get towels from. I'm gluten free and buffet restaurant did do me a pizza but it wasn't hot, not much better choice at a la carte. Food typical mass market garb. Breakfast chaos and no space between tables. No one to ask re breakfast food so had to make do.

Would not return.

I’ve stayed in better hotels in Blackpool. Bathroom dirty, the towels were filthy and the mattresses were disgusting. You’d think with children staying there, there would have be mattress toppers on the bed. No soap to wash your hands in the bathroom. We had to go buy toiletries from the local Tesco as no shower gel, shampoo and conditioner which is standard in all hotels. When you’re paying over £500 for the experience you’d think you’d have some hand soap and toiletries in your room. TV remote didn’t work so was stuck to one channel which funnily was the Lego channel. Told the concierge who sadly was a young lad and didn’t care less even though I showed the photos of how gross the room was. We were in room 202. No refillable drinks cups available which when it’s 25 degrees you need them. The park itself was very clean. Ride queues ranged from 40-55 minutes. Take pack up for lunches unless you’re ok with junk food. We had fish and chips the first day from the hungry troll which wasn’t the best. Second day we went to the chicken place which was good. If you want healthy food there isn’t really an option. There was a buffet at £22 a head for adults which we didn’t go for. Sadly the hotel lets Legoland down. We can say we’ve done it but sadly won’t be returning.

I enjoyed this theme-park rides are very fun Lego shop had several offers on staff don’t really talk. One of the restaurants was a bit bad but other than that a really nice stay

Good park, terrible food

Some great rides and general rides are good. Not as immersive as I expected. Food is terrible and needs a new operator. Soggy bread on hot dogs and significantly overpriced. Would not eat there again. Don't like the walk through and getting drinks without going through a checkout. It's a family park and staff should be friendlier.

Absolutely brilliant but two days needed!

We came to Legoland with two children (6 and 4) and found it to be absolutely brilliant. There were a few rides our youngest wasn’t keen on but there was more than enough to keep her happy and satisfied. We went on a regular weekend in May, the park was busy and it was VERY HOT but we had a great time, the queues were quite long for the majority of the rides but it felt worthwhile still. We would however always recommend doing the two days, I think if we went for one we’d have missed a lot and felt a bit disappointed. We aren’t local so booked a short stay break (2nd day free) and it was definitely worth the extra money to make sure we got on everything we wanted. We will definitely come back again in the future.

Be prepared to que most of the time.

Even with eating our lunch while in queue we still didn't get around everything. The queue times are ridiculous made even worse by the reserve and ride which is just fueled by Legoland greed!! It's so disheartening for a 4 year old after being in a queue for over an hour for Legocity fire academy to have it filled by reserve and ride! Over 50 minutes on most rides with many more than that. The staff are mostly grumpy and unhelpful with dragons apprentice and heartlake city doughnut van the worst!!! The doughnut van broken down and for over 30 minutes my husband waited for his food or a refund. Once the machine broke down the staff took themselves to the back of the van for a private conversation and ignored all the customers. 1 member staff did stay nearer the front and all she kept saying is "it will be 5 minutes" for over 30 minutes. The build section of the Ferrari didn't have enough parts to build the cars. No rubber for the wheels, so they are unable to turn it you follow the instructions. Areas of the park need a clean, tho footpaths and bins are cleared the rides themselves and the staging is dirty, dusty and filled with spiders webs so you can't see in the display cases. Overall we spent 2 days eating lunch stand up, in more lines than rides. And paid over £300 to do so. Thanks Legoland Windsor

Great day out

We had a fantastic time at Legoland as a family of four. So much to do and a very clean and welcoming place to go. The rides were brilliant and shows were very well done. We loved Redbeard’s Pirate Show. Only downside was the queues some being over an hour. The queue list on the app was helpful to see where to go next however, they weren’t always accurate and a 25 minute wait turned into an hour wait. Would recommend a visit.

Money grabbing not interested in children horrible experience

Cram them in take their money make them que. Never have we been anywhere where we felt that that sole objective was to take as much money as possible from the customer as they could. Wherever you turn there is another cost and it is not cheap. Expect ques of 60 to 90 minutes per ride. This is the worse place we have ever visited all they want is your money. I do not recommend under any circumstances complete money grabbing enterprise. We had a 2 day ticket we did not return for day 2.

Great if you love to queue

Firstly, we went in half term, family with a 5 and 3 year old, staying for 2 nights in a hotel nearby. Avoid half term etc if you want to go on more than a few rides in a day. I should say we made sure the kids had a great time, but it was a frustrating 2 days. Queues are so long, the app times are very poor, giving inaccurate queue times. One said 10 mins, which took over 40. The map is good. The loading and unloading of people on rides takes so long and could be much quicker. The fast track queue jumpers actually means the whole loading takes twice as long, as the one person working has to go to one queue scanning phones and then the other. Food very expensive, as expected. Nearly £9 for a hotdog. Take a picnic, much better. Wouldn't bother with the unlimited photo upgrade unless you were just planning on going on those rides with photos and nothing else, some taking 90 minutes queueing. The lego buildings and models are good. The lego building areas, mythica, the car, the brick, were all good, parks were used a lot. The Red Beard show was very well done. The splash pads were great, although changing rooms needed cleaning, nappies on floor, smell of urine etc. Overall disappointed, far too many people being let in, queues too long, overpriced for how much you can do in a day, but you know what you are letting yourself in for going here. Kids did enjoy it, but won't be going back for a very long time, and not in school holidays. Go and support a little local theme park instead. The rides aren't anything special that you don't get everywhere and you'll do more, for less money.

Kids had fun, but adults annoyed by constant price gouging

As far as theme parks go it's perfectly fine, the kids had fun despite queuing 40-50 minutes for the 40 second rides, and if you get a package deal for two days in the park with a hotel stay the total price isn't too bad. Just take a packed lunch with you and don't be one of the enablers who give them reason to think they should continue charging £8.95 for a 10p bun and 20p frankfurter with a squirt of ketchup, or £13.95 for chicken, chips and drink that would cost you £3 in KFC. Imagine if you paid the full price of SIXTY-EIGHT POUNDS per person and then when you got inside everywhere you turn is a stall designed to further extract as much money as possible, or people with more money than sense paying to jump the queue because the £250 you paid apparently wasn't enough. Why can't an attraction try something different with their pricing and give people a pleasant surprise, rather than a bad taste in their mouth every time they pass a price board? You could slash prices by 65% and still be making an obscene margin, plus you wouldn't have armies of teenagers standing around doing nothing and food going cold because some people thankfully do have the sense to realise when they're being taken for a ride. Surely you'd make more money overall because everybody would buy lunch, a bag of doughnuts, stop for a coffee, have a few goes on the game stalls, buy a legoland t-shirt etc. etc, not just the people who wonder why they can't get on the property ladder whilst handing over £50 for soggy meals that a non-league football ground tea shed would be embarrassed to serve.

It’s a nice place for the kids with familiar characters and some exciting experiences but the waiting times are ridiculous (45-60 min) ! In one day you’ll be able to go on 5-6 rides only! Not many thrill rides at all so it’s probably best for younger kids

Average

Firstly we had a fantastic time away in Legoland. We stayed at the resort and found it to be clean, comfortable and friendly staff. It is a lot of money to stay there but we made sure we spent some time in the hotel and my son loved playing in the Lego play room and loved our room, the Lego in the room was a great touch! We did go swimming although we found this to be very small and in need of refurbishing! Also they advertise early ride time for staying yet only Lego city was available so none of the bigger rides were even accessible! Poor advertising on legoland! However, the park wasn’t great. The members of the staff in the park were so unfriendly and not helpful in the slightest particularly in the coffee shop in duplo lnd. There was no explanation on how to use the cafe just that we swipe our card and enter the member of staff just stared right through us like we weren’t there! Secondly the queue time is too long! There is way too many people allowed in the park to actually be able to enjoy it. In 2 days we were there we managed 10 rides! And the prices were just eye watering! Totally unjustified for a family resort it’s just greedy! 25 pound for a 3 course meal for my 5 year old!!!! Overall the park is clean tidy and well laid out. We had a brilliant time as a family but in no rush back. Too many people too much money.

Not all it's cracked up to be.

After seeing an advert on TV our 2 lego-mad boys were very keen to go. We decided to stay at the Hotel to make it a little more special with 2 days in the park. The park itself was as you'd expect. Lots of waiting around in queues but plenty to see and do overall. Wasted £20 on the photo pass as only managed to get one pic. Evening dining in the hotel was so poor with very little choice. Although we booked a table at Bricks restaurant, we ended up eating in Skyline bar as it had more suitable options. That being said, a kids pizza, salad, a portion of chips (all poor quality) and four soft drinks was still over £50. Afterwards, I saw other guests taking delivery of a dominos which is a great move. Although the kids enjoyed it, they wanted to leave half way through the second day so I doubt we'll go back to be honest. For the money we paid, we thought we were going to be blown away by the experience but I'm sorry to say it just didn't live up to expectations.

Magical place for the kids

We stayed in the woodland lodge and wow it was amazing! Loved all the little details, loved how they have a little play area in each lodge area, the club house was very nice, nice food and we thought the price wasnt too bad, loved how they have the lego stations for the kids to play while the adults can enjoy a drink, the play park outside was very good, nice walking distance to our lodge from the club house, we as a family really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back and stay in the lodge, the only thing that does let it down was the waiting times for the rides, 40-60 minutes is not good when you are paying alot of money to stay there so this is 1 area they definitely need to look at we was there for 2 days and probably only went on about 6 rides. This is the only thing that lets them down. My 8 year old son enjoyed himself that much he actually cried when we was leaving and said how much he has absolutely loved it there and was sad to be going and said it was his best birthday ever and wants to go back for his next years birthday! Would of got 5/5 if the waiting times wasnt as bad as it was.

Dissatisfied!!

I would definitely not go again. First thing you need to know if you are not travelling by car. Things are miles away. We booked crazy golf but had to cancel as it was too far from our hotel. I asked for a refund & didn’t receive it. Early access to the park is for the baby rides only! Everything is over priced. I only managed to get two of our family in swimming as they were fully booked! Due to health reasons couldn’t book before we arrived. The only good thing was the room. Great decor for kids, housing keeping excellent.

Must 2 day pass and reserve and ride passes.

We have just done 2 days at legoland with a 2 day pass. We did not stay at the hotel because I couldn’t justify the money they charge for it. The park is huge so a 2 day pass was a must to be able to see everything, each day we were there all day and still didn’t go on everything. This was mostly because the queues are ridiculous and timing is misleading for the rides. I purchased A regular reserve and ride the first day at £120 x 4 people. I would book a ride with a 60 minute wait, then with 5 minutes left they closed the ride, so i had to wait again for a different ride and the same thing happened. This happened 3 times in a row which was infuriating. The second day, without a reserve and ride, we waited in the “30 minute” queue for laser raisers, it was actually a 1 and 1/2 hour wait!!!! It was dark and far too hot in there, one child had to leave to be sick! I would have to remortgage the house to come here again! It makes your eyes water at the price of stuff, 4x hot dogs for £35, 6 chocolate covered strawberries or marshmallows £6! These are the reasons for the 4 star review otherwise it would have been 5. My 2 boys 4 and 7 absolutely loved it still, the ninjago ride and the sky dragon were really fun. My 7 years old’s favourite was the mini village, he was blown away by it. Although, there was a few things that need to be done better, we still had a great day even when first day was raining. Just as side note…The queue for one of the rides was always ridiculously long, i wish i could have just paid a one off fee to go on that particular ride. Just a thought!

New Woodland Village

WoodVillage is new and feels new. The accommodation was clean, needs a stall for the kids in the bathroom. AVOID the restaurant, very expensive food for basic quality food (£20 for a burger and £23 for a two course kids meal). Service is very poor, serving staff in the restaurant seemed clueless. The reception staff were lovely, especially Connor good customer service.

We had a good two days and kids said it was the best holiday ever. Enjoyable park to walk around in and decent variety of rides for a 4 and 6 year old to enjoy. Nice play park up by the castle. Great pirate show by the water. We didn’t have time to see all the park so there’s always next time! The queues varied: day one hardly any but day 2 awful. In total we managed 10 rides across two days. Hill train is not the Lego express to be wary. Long queue to go down a hill you could walk in 5mins. I’d opt for the walk if you can as the stairs have slides for the kids! Food overpriced £21 adult/£17 child for the buffet. £9 hotdog. £5 ice cream £7 churro, But you can take a picnic and snacks in. Water fountains available for drinks. Photopass was a rip off for us. Photos on 7 rides only and we only went on one of those as kids are small. Seeking a refund at the minute as it’s a private company, Legoland couldn’t help. Crazy golf very nice but too pricey for what you get - £30 for 4, 9 holes and that’s with a discount! We did a two day overnight at Farnborough Holiday inn. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. Kids are free at night so around £40 all in for 2 adults and 2 kids for evening meal. Yes it is overpriced (as these things are) and yes the queues are long and not all rides have entertainment as you wait (cartoons, phone games, Lego). I also think there could be characters and photoshoots throughout the park. But regardless the kids enjoyed and I’d go again and recommend.

2 night package

I booked a Legoland package for myself and my 11 year old. It gave us 2 nights in the Coppid Beach Hotel (9 miles away) with 2 days' entry to the park (buy 1 get 1 free). Hotel was really good - great modern room, nice breakfast, much more reasonable than the official Legoland hotel and an easy 20 minute drive to the park. We visited the park on a Friday and Saturday. There was a noticeable difference in queue times. Luckily we covered everything we wanted to do on Friday and on Saturday managed just 4 rides before we couldn't face more queues. None of the rides are especially long so waiting for 45 minutes+ is a big ask, especially for kids. Food is pricey but to be expected I suppose. We mostly took our own and shared a couple of treats in the park. We really enjoyed our visit but both agreed we wouldn't want to be there on a weekend again. Definitely a good visit on a school inset day!

Great first family theme park experience

Great first family experience to a theme park with 6 yr old twins. Lots to do and see. The App we initially thought was great but we found ourselves constantly checking it every 5mins for ride times which weren't always accurate and found ourselves not really in the moment and exploring the park. Top Tips 1. Ditch the App or limit time on it, wonder around, don't put pressure on visiting every ride and be in the moment, you will still see loads of interesting things. 2. Watch a show - the pirate one was fantastic and the kids loved it, plus the adults get time out to sit down and rest your feet. 3.Wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk up some hilly areas. 4. If you can, grab the tickets on an overnight offer, we did 2 days for 1 with an overnight stay at the De-Vere Beaumont which was fantastic. (Nr to park, great set up for dinner in evening and fab breakfast the nxt day). In 2 days we felt we covered all the park, leisurely. 5. If you watch a show at the 4D theatre make sure you arrive at least 10mins before. We showed up at scheduled time to be told that's when doors close. 6. If you're planning on leaving later in the day, don't leave it until then if you want to visit the big lego shop at the entrance, there will be BIG queues. Best family rides Merlin, Dragon & Haunted House Worst family ride Laser quest - we waited over an hr, defo not worth it and very dated. The whole Egyptian bit is a little dissapointing tbh, they could do so much more with it. Overall we had a great time however there were a few negatives. The park is looking tired, dated and dirty in some places. There was also less staff than needed on the rides, one person doing multiple roles which also made getting on rides slower. Having highlighted the negatives it's still a great park and we all had a wonderful time.

Some small things to be addressed, but all in all, a pleasant experience.

We went for 2 days. The first day was a bit of a mission as it was super busy and I do feel that the park might have been over capacity, so to speak. Day 2, we had figured out where everything was and figured out that certain rides had longer lines and did them at the end of the day, resulting in being able to go on the bigger rides, twice in a row! Win! Long lines and theme parks sort of go together so we were expecting this. Everything was amazing and there were lots and lots to do. Not for the faint hearted, expect to do some walking! Perfect for kids aged 6+. Shout out to the lady who did the puppets story, she is a great storyteller and also the people who did the pirate show. We watched both shows on both days. Great experience. Only negatives were the food options. We were expecting food to be more expensive due to it being a theme park, but the variety is not great and the hot-dogs were just gross. Encountered some dismissive staff members and some who clearly did not want to be there or be helpful. But I suppose there will always be some. Some small things to be addressed by Legoland, but all in all, a pleasant experience.

Shambolic!

From the moment we arrived there was a catalogue of catastrophes. We booked an overnight stay in the Legoland hotel and on our arrival (our daughter is a wheelchair user), none of the lifts were working!! It took ages to get up to the level for the theme park. These lefts were not fixed for the duration of our stay and a surly member of the bar staff told us that the ones from the bar up to the rooms never work!!! We then had an awful experience in the monster party ride where our children nearly got trampled after the staff forgot about us needing wheelchair access. We were left stuck on the ride while they saw to all the able bodied people and then when the doors opened to let everyone in we had to fight through the crowds to get back to our chair with two children! The staff in the bar area of the hotel were just plain lazy… they were on their mobile phones instead of serving customers and everything seemed too much trouble. Some of the cars in the driving school weren’t working properly and children were being told just to get on with it. A change machine was out of order and when we informed staff, they said nothing could be done. Again we brought up the broken lifts and we’re told “they just don’t work!”. We visited the restaurant in the Castle Hotel and the food took ages to arrive, then after it came, a staff member called Belle rushed us out of the restaurant by persistently asking if we had finished with our plates to the point where we felt we were obliged to leave. The tables and water jug were absolutely filthy and the menu overpriced and of low quality. The final mail in the coffin was when our daughter fell at the poolside and wasn’t offered any assistance at all. There was no first aid, no accident form or any assistance at all! I asked for an accident form and was given one reluctantly… when my back was turned, the form was then altered and I had to call a manager who was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Would totally avoid this hotel at all costs… stay offsite if you you can. Policies and Health and Safety not adhered to whatsoever… dangerous place!

A series of unfortunate events at Legoland woodland village.

We booked this weekend away as an over the top all out birthday weekend away as we paid extra to have a VIP Package for our 8 Year old son who also suffers with ADHD. After having a great first day at Legoland resort our issues started with clubhouse. Problems with Dinner: 5pm dinner reservations 5.05pm Order was taken, supposedly 5.15pm Order was retaken wrong 5.30pm One Pizza was served at 5.30pm 5.40pm 2nd dish was wrong with no sight of third dish. 5.50pm Asked to speak to a manager and was told that our dishes would be right out. 6.15pm finally three dishes come out however two dishes wrong along with burger undercooked and cold chips. 6.20pm finally our 8yo has his Spaghetti Bolognese 6.25 the shift Manager kindly refunded the cost of the meal however with a 8 month old and a plan to play golf before bedtime this massively set back our evening. Problems with the lodge 7.15pm issue with shower, shower screen not sealed properly causing it to leak across the whole bathroom floor spoiling wash bag and clothes. 7.30pm curtain to kids bedroom, the pole fails almost hitting my son in the head and walked to reception to report the issue. Which turns out that it was nearly just screwed into the plasterboard with no fixings. 7.45pm spoke to a manager called Josh about the issues and was offered vouchers and told if needed anything further to email customer services. Was advised that a contractor would be right out to resolve the issue. 8.05pm Maintenance man arrives to assess the issue and at 8.15pm returned to repair the curtain bracket insufficiently as curtain bracket fell within minutes of leaving just by moving the curtain lightly. During this time having to take out 8 month old for a walk due to being woken up because of the noise 8.30pm returned to help desk to advise of issue and told that contractors would be out to sort the issue. 8.45pm new maintenance contractors turn up to finally resolve the issue to a decent strength however a hideous sight. But in doing so waking up our 8 month old in process due to noise and light. 8.55pm discussed the issues with duty manager Joel and was told that if we needed anything that he would ‘sort us out’ and not to worry too much as their are others in a similar but not quite so severe situations (as an attempt to lesser the impact) and said we would get back to him after speaking to my partner. Now contractors left with dirt and debris spread over the floor although offering to come back and clean up but it now being 9pm and with an 8 month old being two hour past bedtime we said that we would sort it. 9pm requested to speak to Joel through the QR service as fed up of walking to reception just to speak to someone never contacted back at this point we have now completely lost faith. To add the cherry on top, bring you’re own travel cot, luckily we did but only remembering that we did after many hours of trying to put our son down on the one that was provided free of charge however it feels like it’s filled with concrete but putting the disrupted sleep down to the events of evening, Once we set up own our travel cot at 2am he was out like a light for a solid 5 hours. And finally, 7.45am Fire alarm went off while queuing for breakfast in the clubhouse, firstly told just to take a seat quick and then told to use any exit no instructions for assembly points the is a simple compulsory requirement for any hospitality. Now I fully understand that there are always issues with new builds as we were told that this was the opening weekend for the woodland village however, I do feel that given the egregious prices we paid for the lodge and experiences they should not come at our cost nor by having the whole evening/weekend ruined.

Prepare to be disappointed

Food too expensive and burgers were so rubbery i couldn't bring myself to eat it, worst ive had. The place seems to be designed to keep you in queues as long as possible, so they can fleece you for more money by pushing reserve and ride. Communication was poor to non existent, the app helped but needs to be extended to cover all facilities (hotels facilities, minifigure building experience etc). mixture of very good helpful staff and terrible /poorly trained staff. Generally felt the operator doesn't care about the customers experience. Had been looking forward to it, but was very disappointing.
