Amazing experience! A must do when you're in Whistler. .

This was a truly an amazing experience, flying over Whistler, Blackcomb and surrounds. We had perfect weather once we were up and it was clear and sunny. The landing on Rainbow Mountain was amazing and we got some great pictures. It was so clear and quiet up there and not even cold. We were very lucky with the weather. As far as the operators of the helicopter tour, Blackcomb Helicopters - we could not fault them. They were professional, informative and the price was very reasonable in our opinion. We had a slight delay at the beginning due to some fog, but this was unavoidable and was communicated to us straight away. The staff in the office were friendly and helpful too. We also appreciated the shuttle back to Whistler village at the end. I would highly recommend doing this tour if you are in Whistler and have great weather and want to get a birdseye view of the area. We would definitely do it again!

A Must Do!

Absolutely incredible experience. Wish it was longer. First flight was grounded due to poor visibility, the team were so helpful in rescheduling us via the app. I was nervous as I’ve never been in a helicopter before but it was as easy as taking a lift. Thank you Nick and the lovely lady on reception who checked us in.

Exceeded expectations

An incredible experience! We were on our honeymoon and decided to do something memorable, and a helicopter ride fit the bill. The ride exceeded our expectations. Nick, our pilot, made the flight fun with twists and turns, but ensuring we felt safe at all times. He was extremely friendly and funny. The landing on top of a mountain was incredible. It was so quiet and remote. The scenery was stunning. It was an experience we will always remember.

Anniversary tour

We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. This adventure was so fun and memorable. Nick was a great pilot and guide.

Parent's 60th Birthday Surprise

I booked this excursion for my parents as a surprise for their 60th birthday. It was their first time in BC and Alberta and this was the HIGHLIGHT of their trip. Superb - highly recommend

Absolutely brilliant. Nick our pilot, was not just a fantastic pilot but superb tour guide. He flew with real care and checked in to make sure we all felt OK throughout the flight. He told us all about the areas we flew over, pointing out places of interest. He was incredibly knowledgeable as well as being pretty funny. He made the trip really exciting and our mountain stop was stunning. Recommend this company extremely highly.

Top of World Experience

To begin, booking a tour was simple. Checking in was a breeze. Staff were very helpful to understand what would make the experience the best! Nick was our pilot and eased everyone’s anxiety. Beverly Lake was a gorgeous spot to have a quick stop for photos. Everything about the experience exceeded our expectations.

Fun and great views

This was a really fun trip. We enjoyed the views, the pilot who was cool doing some stunts and great landing for alpine lake pictures.

BLACKCOMB HELICOPTERS FLIGHTS OVER WHISTLER PEAKS

We love sightseeing by helicopter as it gives you a birds eye view of the scenery. We have had awesome flights over Biagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, and Kakadu, to mention a few. Blackcomb Heli charged us $300 for a 15min flight even though the clouds prevented us from flying over the peaks. When we woke in the morning it was overcast and you couldn't see the mountain peaks.. We expected the flight to be cancelled. At 945 Blackcomb advised us that the clouds were lifting and our 1030 flight would go ahead. The flight was a disaster. According to Blackcombs spiel below you see the peaks and glaciers. We'll we didn't as the cloud was too low for the pilot to do so. "Go deeper into the mountains behind Whistler Blackcomb to see the peaks and glaciers of the Spearhead and Fitzsimmons Range" Furthermore, they cram 4 people in the back seat, making it impossible for the middle to take pictures. They should only have 3 in the back seat. I know they are trying to make money but it was far to cramped in the back seat for the middle 2 people to get their $300 worth. Furthermore with the low lying cloud Blackcomb Helicopters should have cancelled our flight altogether. If you are thinking of flying with Bkackcomb Helicopters then book on a day without low lying clouds that obscure the peaks and also make sure that you are on a flight with no more than 4 passengers so you get your moneys worth. I'm sorry but I can only give Blackcomb Helicopters 1 star out of 5.

Helicopter flight

Amazing trip, would definitely recommend! Flying over the mountains and glaciers just gives a different perspective and is a sight to see. We couldn’t land on glacier but by a lovely lake instead which was just as good. Would do again!

Wow, wow and wow!

Wow, wow, wow! What an incredible experience. If you have the opportunity to do this, then book it! You won’t regret it! We booked for our daughter’s birthday treat whilst on holiday in Canada and it was the highlight. Our pilot was funny, knowledgable and put us all at ease. Highly recommend for an unforgettable trip

Amy at Blackcomb was fantastic to deal with. She could not have been nicer or more helpful in sorting things out for us when our travel scheduie got messed up. Overall, a really professional organisation and very good / nice people to deal with. Highly recommended.

AMAZING!

This trip was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our Pilot Nick was brilliant, we were very lucky with the weather (amazing views, nice and calm!) and the scenery was beautiful. I’m a bit of a glacier-geek, so flying close to one (and seeing the amazing crevasses close up) was absolutely brilliant, and then to top it off with a landing on Rainbow Glacier was just fabulous.

Perfect way to spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary!!

Flying over the glacier and seeing all of the crevasses up close was just amazing. And while landing on the mountain looked like it could never work, it was phenomenal once we were landed and could walk around and take in the view.

I went for this with my wife and parents. It was an incredible experience, we all thoroughly enjoyed and were amazed by how mesmerizingly beeautiful it was. It is pricey, but the overall tour will be worth spending on. Highly recommend the glacier landing as well.

Best flight ever

From the moment we arrived to check in for a flight, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our pilot was great also. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining during the entire ride. The weather was spectacular and were able to get some of the most incredible photos. Hope to come back again soon. You will not be disappointed. Thank me later :)

Spectacular Heli Tour

This was our favorite tour! The pilot was very skilled making this an exciting experience. We have been in helicopter tours before, but this was the best, absolutely worth every penny!

Best excursion ever

This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my life. Our pilot was amazing and hilarious with his jokes, and all of his knowledge about the surroundings was educational and is so cool definitely worth the money and the trip up to Whistler. It made my whole vacation amazing. It was very easy to check in and sign our waivers on site. The front desk was awesome and so was the crew very clean and professional.

Amazing!

This was the best experience ever!!! Nick our pilot went above and beyond, pointing out different mountains and history of them. Luckily, we were able to land on Rainbow peak and it was absolutely beautiful! Definitely recommend this trip for anyone who comes!

Omg this place is a great and such a wonderful experience. The two ladies in front were warm and welcoming. You see a crucial safety film and then you fly off and land on some glaciers. And come back for some warm tea.

Unbelievable Sights

Overall the tour was outstanding. Our helicopter pilot and tour guide, Jif (sp?) was great. Throughout our ride he pointed many areas of interest and on our landing he shared insightful information about the wild life in the area and search and rescue operations that occur occasionally. Plus he noted the film site for Stallone’s Cliffhanger movie and Wahlburg’s Shooter movie. It was a great experience!!

Wonderful experience seeing the mountains around Whistler from the air! Our pilot, Nick, was very competent, funny and informative about the area. Landing on the glacier was the cherry on top! 100/100 would recommend.

We had an absolute blast with our Whistler Tour. We landed by a beautiful alpine lake and spent a bit admiring the beauty of Whistler. Our pilot was friendly and outgoing, and gave us a ton of info about the areas we were flying over. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Wonderful experience

I booked this trip for a surprise wedding anniversary gift for my husband and we loved the experience. The pilot was really knowledgeable about the area and flew over a glacier which was a highlight for us. Really beautiful scenery. My only slight complaint was that we were not advised we were not able to land on a glacier which was what was advertised when booking. We understood why we couldn’t, but felt like we should have been updated about the change as it was one of the main reasons why we booked the trip and only found out whilst on the tour. Regardless, I would highly recommend booking this experience as it is great fun.

BC Experience

Wedid the BC experience and got to land on a glacier. None of my family had ever been in a helicopter before so this was a bucket list item. It was amazing from lift off to landing and getting to see the mountain landscape and glaciers up close is very cool. Nick our pilot gave us quite the tour with lots of information on the formations, glaciers and geology. Landing on a glacier was a highlight for sure, unfortunately with climate change these glaciers are going to be gone soon. This glacier has lost about 10 feet of ice since last year, rocks that were never exposed are now exposed on the slope. If you have never done anything like this, our family would highly recommend it.

The views were such a treat - it’s a must do experience! The team at Blackcomb Heli and our pilot Brooke were excellent too.

10/10 would fly again

Flying over the mountains and glaciers was a surreal experience. Also got to scout out my next hike to black tusk while flying overhead. Landing in rainbow mountain and glacier was wild. Pilot was great and knowledgeable about the area. She was dope.

Highlight of our trip

Great views as we had a beautiful clear day and landed on the glacier for some remarkable pictures.The pilot was very informative and the helicopter looked in excellent shape.

Not to be missed!!!

Phenomenal way to see the are around Whistler. We lucked out with a crystal blue day. Wonderful pilot (extremely knowledgeable and professional and kind), friendly front desk staff and smooth operation. Have done several other helicopter tours and this is not to be missed! Stopping on top of the glacier to get our and take photos and see the view was a highlight.

Life time experience

This was my wife's 64th a birthday present having never being on a helicopter before. The whole trip was awesome but the landing and the outing at the top of Rainbow Mountain was spectacular. A once in lifetime experience!

The whole experience was awesome, going over the Glaziers and Waterfall were my highlights. Taking small dives over ridges was incredible. The pilots knowledge was interesting. Landing and enjoying the views was breathtaking. It is something I would definitely do again. Thank you!!
