Surprised the kids with a heli tour. It’s hard to get teenagers off their devices and impress them, but this was a winner with all of them. Great pilot and narration of the trip. Jamie did stay focused on her checklist and took safety seriously. Awesome touchdown stop and walking around on mountain top. Siblings were too amazed by the flight to fight with each other. All focused on the flight and didn’t even bother to text friends until after.

We had a great flight! Our pilot was very educated about the land and took the time to show us and teach us about the surrounding area! He made sure that we did not feel rushed so that we could enjoy our experience. Definitely worth the trip you will see a view like no other pictures will never do justice

WORST HELICOPTER COMPANY

We booked our heli elopement well in advance and were looking forward to it. Per my previous discussions with the Company, we were expecting to receive a call a day before the elopement related to the weather conditions in case the weather didn’t look good.. However, we didn’t receive any call. On the day of our elopement, we received a call a couple hours before our flight saying the weather looks good so far but in case anything changes we will call you at 2pm and if we don’t call, it’s expected that we are good for the fight. This was surprising as on the 1st place since we didn’t hear anything from them until a couple hours before the flight instead of the day before.. Later, we didn’t receive any call for them but since I wanted to make sure, I called them at 2.05pm to ask if we are good for the flight. They told us they will call us back if weather is bad in next 5mins as the pilot will be updating in next few mins.. We didn’t hear anything so we left for our flight scheduled at 2.40pm.. When we reached the parking lot at 2.30pm they called us saying the fight is cancelled.. This was very sudden and disappointing given we made all efforts to make sure we are good and we were literally outside ready to board the flight for our elopement.. They did not offer any alternative options such as dates/ times etc even though they knew the booking was for an elopement. We still had a great & beautiful wedding at a different location and made it all work out at the very last minute. The weather was clear and sunny the whole day and days after and we felt like they cancelled on a 10mins notice without any reason or alternative options in terms of timing. We will go for a heli tour on our anniversary next year but definitely NOT with blackcomb helicopters. We DON’T recommend anyone planning any elopement or engagement with blackcomb helicopters since they can ruin your plans any minute even when you have already arrived to fly.

No better way to make a proposal

No better way to make a proposal. From the start of booking this event to arriving the base to taking off and coming back, the staff was top notch and know how to keep a secret. The trip was book for a landing on a glacier and tour around the area of Whistler. Our pilot( I forgot his name :( ) was nothing but the best. he was professional when he had to be, and super friendly the rest of the time, as well he seems to posses the ability to disappear on cue. when we went out on the glacier to make my make my proposal, he just seemed to have vanished, after she said yes, he appeared out of no where, with a very hardy congrats, and offered to take pictures. He ( again I can not remember his name) is a very skilled pilot and this was evident by the way he handled and landed the helicopter ( very smooth) Amy and the rest of the staff at Blackcomb helicopter should also be commended. there was an issue with a medical call ( 2 actually ) and there was a lot of juggling of aircraft and prepping the units for departure. At no time did I see anyone seem flustered or out of sorts to this " curve ball". you could see that everyone was own task and very professional The view during the tour is something to see for sure. and not to be missed. Can't say enough good things about this operation.

The experience was vary...

The experience was vary unique and gave our celebration more excitement! In addition, our guide was very helpful in pointing out various landmarks as we were exploring the sky. Having the chance to land on Rainbow Mountain and explore land that we would, otherwise not be able to was astonishing and a very special first time experience.

Breathtaking!

Our team at The Adventure Group felt so incredibly lucky, to have the experience of Flying over the mountains with Blackcomb Helicopters yesterday. Carter was a fantastic guide and gave us commentary about all the peaks and valley's we were flying over at the time. We landed on the edge of a glacier-blue lake and got to explore and take some photos. The check-in process was simple, staff were friendly and the Heli ride was comfortable, exciting and SO beautiful! Thank you Blackcomb Helicopters, Carter and Co. We hope to see you again soon!

Well this was fun!!!

What an awesome experience! I highly recommend this for anyone. My husband, son and I totally enjoyed this tour. Our pilot Jeff was great and gave us an epic ride with history of the glaciers, geography of our location and an overall excellent adventure. I liked seeing the skiers and the snow mobiles on the ski runs beneath us. Will do again sometime in the future.

Breathtaking

My husband proposed to me on this helicopter tour, the staff were so friendly and excited for us when we arrived (not that I knew why!). It was great for them to share in our excitement and when we landed they all greeted and congratulated us. The tour was amazing, the scenery was breathtaking and we were able to land on rainbow glacier - it was just the 2 of us and the pilot gave us some privacy as we looked around and my partner proposed. I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend the special day. Amazing.

Top-notch from start to finish

It starts with research on their website, and it gives a full picture of what to expect. Everything from routes to weight limitations to flying times to COVID-19 protocols to pricing structures is all spelled out clearly. The online booking and waiver process is easy. The check-in is fast - a few standard COVID questions, a safety briefing from the pilot and you're off. I probably don't have to mention that once you're in the air, it's incredible - this is a helicopter tour of Whistler, after all. The pilot acts as guide and knows the area inside-out - in addition to flying tours, they also do search & rescue, fire fighting, etc. I'm not sure if this is a COVID measure or it's always like this, but the tours are fixed price and private - you don't pay per passenger, you pay per helicopter. This is ideal for solo travellers - no sticker shock of the "singles supplement". I'll definitely be back. It took all my self-control not to book myself on another tour the next day.

Best experience ever

Absolutely amazing! Got to do a snow angel on a glacier. Had a blast planning the next trip with the kids. Pilot was great with a sense of humour made it so much more enjoyable.

Best Hiking Ever :D

We did a full-day Heli-hiking tour around Mount Barbour and Seven O'Clock Mountain. The weather was perfect, full sun and warm. Dave was a fantastic guide and super helpful, accommodative, and great company for the most amazing hike in the mountains! COVID protocols easy to follow and well maintained. The scenery is surreal and so peaceful. Would do this again in a heartbeat. A memory to never forget! :D

Great scenery with ease! That's the easiest (though at a price) way to see so much with so little effort! I love mountains and snow and this helicopter ride is awesome!

Truly the best helicopter tour!! (Ive taken many is other cities and areas). We felt very safe and informed. Our pilot was really awesome at pointing out all the cool places, we landed on the glacier with time to take pictures! We did not feel this was too short, our pilot took his time and gave us all the time we needed and didn't seem like it was watching the clock to check off another tour! Loved this afternoon tour!

BC experience tour

We did the BC experience tour and I must say, it was freaking awesome. Loved it. Breath-taking views of the landscape, and you get to walk on top of Rainbow mountain and take as many pictures as you want. Our pilot Steve was very informative along the way and was very courteous. If you are in Whistler, this is a must do activity. Worth every dollar. Total experience is about 40 minutes (25 minute helicopter ride and 15 minutes on top of Rainbow mountain)

An experience of a lifetime

I grew up in Vancouver and go to Whistler all the time, but never had I seen it quite like this. On the BC Experience tour, we flew over massive mountain peaks, frozen lakes and ancient glaciers and then landed on top of Rainbow Mountain for an incredible photo op. I surprised my mom for her birthday and she had the most incredible time - she even got emotional she was so happy and touched by the majesty of the mountains! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Whistler.

Great Family Adventure!

We booked the BC Experience tour and it is a - must do - while in Whistler. Our pilot Christian was great! He provided a running commentary of the area as we flew along - so much to take in and the views are incredible! Then landing on the Glacier - well that's what the trip is all about - wow!

One of the best things I have ever done!

I did this with my partner and her sister and her boyfriend. We wanted to keep it a secret from my partner and the team at Blackcomb Helicopters were super helpful and cooperative. The pilot was so knowledgeable and blew us away with the little history lesson and know of the land. We were warned about turbulence and small bumps before it hit. The views were amazing and it was well worth the money. Don’t second guess yourself about doing it, get in that chopper and experience something magical. This tour helps you see parts of Whistler from an angle impossible to see from the ground. Highly Recommend for all ages!

Brilliant, Great Family Experience of a Lifetime

I booked our BC Experience trip from Australia through their Blackcomb Helicopter website which was friendly & easy to use, having first made a general inquiry through their website which was answered promptly by Nicola. Being a family of four including two children aged 8 and 14 who had never seen snow and I was surprising them with the BC Experience trip which includes a landing on the glacier. We were in Whistler during late September 2019 when the weather can be somewhat unpredictable with low cloud that can prevent the landing on the glacier, due to safety reasons. Blackcomb Helicopters understood how important this was to me to be able to surprise the family and were in regular contact with me each day with updates on the weather conditions. Crystal who deserves a special mention, kindly rebooked this adventure for me twice and on our last day in Whistler we were able to take this brilliant trip and the family was totally 'surprised'. We were collected from the Visitors Centre at the agreed time by their friendly, fun driver and had a short trip to their helicopter sight. The helicopter comfortably fit three of us in the back and one up with the pilot where we had clear views from all windows. The pilot provided a pre-flight safety instruction and explained the flight path of the BC Experience. The helicopter had all the 'bells and whistles' and we were each provided with a headset to hear the pilots commentary and through which we could also communicate with any questions. The pilot was very knowledgeable and provided a details including history of the area, also patient as our 8 year old had a 'million' questions. The glacier landing was smooth and the kids had a snowball fight, with the adults joining in.....it was just too good not to. The pilot was very obliging, taking photos and videos of our adventure on the glacier. The entire experience for our family exceeded all expectations, with the staff at Blackcomb Helicopters being very helpful, understanding and knowledgeable. They dropped us off directly within Whistler after our 'experience' which was wonderful service. We have left a small piece of ourselves on the glacier with this family adventure and also framed a large photo of us all in full snowball 'flight' makes for great conversation when people visit and reminds us of how important it is to take time out with family. This is an adventure of a lifetime and we cannot thank Blackcomb Helicopters enough for creating this family memory which is so precious to us all.

An Exciting and Breathtaking Journey!

Blackcomb Helicopters will not disappoint you on your experience! We had the great opportunity to have the BC Experience with Blackcomb Helicopters and it was worth every moment. We live in Seattle, WA and spend every summer in Whistler, effectively becoming 'locals.' Despite that, this was the first time we experience this tour and it was absolutely breathtaking. From the very beginning in booking the trip to the very end as we landed and departed the heliport, the experience was 'top-shelf.' Blackcomb Helicopters is extremely organized, professional, and aimed at pleasing their customers from start to finish. Our journey was absolutely amazing with our pilot, Steve. He briefed us on the helicopter, was extremely informed on the region, and had many interesting anecdotal stories to share based on hi immense experience in piloting. We breezed around Blackcomb, Black Tusk, Whistler, Rainbow Mountain, and others. Steve showed us all of the lakes in the region and explained their differing water colors. He explained the glaciers and the volcanic states of many of the peaks in the region. Then, he landed on a glacier and we were able to trek around outside of the helicopter. The entire experience from start to finish was one of, if not the best, experience we have ever had in Whistler. Thank you Blackcomb Helicopters!

Absolutely stunning!

You will completely fall in love with Whistler on this ride!! Enjoyed every minute of the Whistler Heli tour, you experience amazing views but also glaciers up close from such a unique perspective. I found the ride to be smooth, fun and exciting. I already want to come back and do a Heli-adventure.

We had an amazing experience. The flight up was spectacular and the walk on the glacier was much longer than expected. I would recommend this trip without hesitation.

My first time in helicopter

My boyfriend won the BC Experience Tour on one fundraising event here in Whistler, so we just waited for nice weather. Monday July 22nd was beautiful day, so we booked helicopter tour and it was great decision. Driver picked us up in village and took us to heliport, 10 minutes drive from village center. There was already our pilot waiting for us and was smiling all the time! I wish to remember his name. I was little bit scared of flying first 5 minutes, but I felt he is really experienced. He was describing what we can see around and told us some interesting facts about mountains, lakes, Whistler... Wedgemount glacier was amazing, but after he did some fast turns and drops I started to feel really sick and it didn't let go until the end of our flight. But the pilot was still asking me how do I feel, opened window for me and was really willing to help. Anyway, it was my first time in helicopter and it looks like my last time as well, I was sick all afternoon :D

First time in helicopter

My wife and I really enjoyed our helicopter ride. Adam was our pilot who was very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to make sure we had a good time. Plenty of time for pictures on top of the mountain and in front of the helicopter. The view from above Whistler is amazing!

Best experience ever!

Booked this last minute and couldn’t be happier, such an amazing experience and well priced. Flying high above the whistler/Blackcomb mountain peaks and landing on rainbow glacier was absolutely amazing, getting to and back from the take off area was also easy with a free shuttle service from whistler village. Big thanks to Adam for a memorable helicopter ride and to the girl who picked us up from whistler village!

Absolutely gorgeous and worth the price

We took the BC experience which includes a landing on rainbow mountain and it's glacier, a once in a lifetime experience which is worth it's money. Beautiful flight with a well informed pilot which could tell us lots of information when we were enjoying the beautiful snow capped mountains and glacier lakes down below or even besides us. Beyond our expectations!
