Fantastic tour of Yeagarup Dunes, forest and beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Yeagarup Dunes, including the forest and beach. Graeme was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had perfect weather and the lunch provided was delicious.

Fun, informative and memorable. A must do tour.

WHAT A FANTASTIC TOUR! I have lived in Western Australia all of my life, and visited Pemberton many times before. However, because I do not own a 4WD vehicle, I have never gone to the spectacular places this tour took us. The huge, white, sand-dunes were both a surprise to find and beautiful. I've always associated Pembi with trees and forest, not dunes and beaches. The stretch of beach was amazing and the forest we went through to get there was stunning. Owner/guide, Graeme, was engaging and informative. His connection with this place was evident as he shared his knowledge with the group. The vehicle is comfortable with forward facing seats, but rugged enough to take you down some hair-raising tracks. Graeme's skill and confidence at driving made everyone feel safe, even when the vehicle lurched from side-to-side, and the destination was well worth it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Pemberton region.

Pemberton to the River mouth. A sand dune crossing

Graeme, our host, provided a fantastic tour through the D'entrecasteaux NP to the mouth of the Warren River. The Views were spectacular, as was the drive across the Yeagerup Dunes. The drive across the beach brought us to the Warren River and also a very calm Southern Ocean. The return was equally great with a stop in the NP for lunch. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing tour and experience

This is a late review however I wanted to make sure I left one as this was a lovely trip. We were picked up promptly and had an amazing day of the beaten track seeing parts of the outback you couldn’t have seen on foot (or in a Tigan). All whilst Graham answered all of the groups questions and provided us with lots of information about the areas and its history. Then we made it up the dune to eat our snacks standing on a stunning beach and on the way saved a couple and there baby stuck in the sand. It was ended by a beautiful lunch in the forest home made my grahams wife with lovely coffee. If you are passing through I would highly recommend this trip. Thank you for a great time and experience.

A great way to see the forest and the sea.

We loved the tour. Graeme was an informative guide and a competent driver. We enjoyed the stops and the forest walk. Amazing country.

Amazing Tour that covers plenty of ground!

What a fantastic Tour! This is a must if you are in the area as you would never really understand the beauty of Pemberton without visiting the Warran National Park. In the 4 hour tour you will see trees, sand, water and more sand but in ways that you normally only see on postcard. Plenty of picture worthy moments. Graeme is an awesome tour guide, passionate about Pemberton, the environment but also tells a good story and has a laugh. He is such an experienced driver because those dunes are full on. We all loved it!

A drive to remember!

Fantastic experience!! Could not recommend enough. Graeme is informative, funny, and friendly... everything you want in a 4x4 tour guide! We got to drive on the off-road and Dunes, and see another side of Pemberton - Unreal experience! Would definitely do again.

An excellent afternoon

An excellent safari through the forest, dunes and out onto the coast. Graeme was very informative and was an excellent host and able to rearrange his diary to suit our visit.

A guided trip through the sands of paradise.

I had a wonderful time. Obviously Graeme is an experienced guide and I loved his passion and respect for nature. Riding through D'Entrecasteaux with a 4x4 is an amazing experience.

Trip full of surprises.

Amazing trip would definitely recommend. We got to experience the sand dunes and the most beautiful beach. Graeme was very informative and passionate about the Forrest, detailing the importance of its survival. The trip ended with a delicious picnic in the Forrest.

What a fantastic trip - the highlight of our brief visit to WA. Aaron was an informative & entertaining guide (& the coffee & muffins were good too!). Great adventure

Very enjoyable adventure with Graeme where we learned a lot about local flora , wildlife & karri forest. Driving over Yeagarup sandunes to reach Indian Ocean was spectacular and a real highlight of our holiday

An unforgettable experience

A totally unforgettable experience led by Graeme and Aaron and Toni. What a thrill it was to be led and informed in such an amazing place and to witness it in eyes led by Locals who were full of stories and had facts and figures to match and be guided safely and looked after so well, I and my friends and family who came will never forget this day and the cuisine and plunger coffee and the whole experience in general. Thank you all and to Toni for organising a b’day cake and doing so much more than she needed to to make my day special.

Outback Experiance

This one of the highlights of our trip to WA. A relaxed laid back enjoyable way to see the forest , dunes and the beach watching the Warren River entering the ocean. Gary our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and everyone on board were relaxed and friendly. Would fully recommend if in area go on this tour. A good wrap was provided for lunch

Tag along 4WD tour

We chose the tag along option to test out our 4wd and thought it might be fun with our two young kids in the car. Our tour guide Graeme made it easy and helped with our tyre pressures and tips for driving up the dunes. The first climb to get on the dunes was a challenge and took 3 attempts. We dropped the tyres to 10psi and made it up and was smooth driving from there on. The hand held radio provided was helpful, as Graeme drove the tracks first and radioed the all clear when the tracks were free from traffic. The forest, dunes, beach and rivermouth all provide beautiful scenery throughout the morning tour. Highly recommend, taking the tour to see the area.

Wow! A great adventure.

We were so well looked after - our guide Aaron had a warm approach and a wealth of knowledge. Tour owner and guide, Graeme, was humble, passionate about the natural beauty and knew his plants! Not being a real 4WD fan, I felt safe the whole time. An extraordinary part of our beautiful world thru karri forests and over a special historic dune site to the Great Southern Ocean!

What an amazing experience! Toni and Graham went above and beyond for our group (75 people). From the organisation and communication pre-tour to the transport, guide knowledge, friendliness and delicious home made lunch and snacks on the day, I cannot rave about this team enough. The experience itself was incredible, driving through the forest onto those sand dunes was fantastic. Toni & Graham - thank you so much for an absolutely incredible day!!

Local knowledge, expert operator: the experience was phenomenal.

What a fantastic trip: the sights, the knowledge, the expertise and the safety first culture made this a highlight of our stay in the region. Picked up on the dot, taken to where the itinerary said where we were going. And there we were in a Karri forest. Enough time to get out and walk a few hundred metres if you desired with Graham passing on all you wanted to know about the flora and fauna of the region. Stopped at a rare and stunning lake that is easily missed if not aware of its locale let alone understanding its context. Would have been hard to find from the literature. Geologic time is not visible as a process to the naked eye. Yet here we were taken to sand dunes that were dynamic, moving relentlessly towards the lake. Rising up in height from the ocean to what has to be the best 4 wheel driving I've ever experienced. Genuinely impressed by the safety first culture and driving skill. Dude must have been born in a 4 wheel drive. Just to see those Yeagarup dunes, respectfully traversed and be informed of the strata, soil, speed of transition was illuminated by Graham's commentary. And there we were at the ocean beside the Warren river, tannins blending into the ocean, the sand dunes behind us. A real sight to experience. No one else there. Came back over the dunes for a fresh organic lunch and real coffee. My wife and I had a ball. How does one convey this felt 'real'? Seeing only what locals know and experiencing forest and dunes that next year will have changed. Grateful for Graham sharing his passion of the place and passing on what he knew.

Highly recommended

Despite persistent heavy rain doing all it could to spoil the day, this was still a very enjoyable and infrmative half day, to visit the national park, dunes and beach with Graeme safely taking us to places we would never have found not been able to visit independently.

A WOW tour, don't miss it!

Wow! What an amazing tour. Graeme is passionate about this area — especially the magnificent karri trees — and we learnt so much in our conversations. Starting in the karri forest and a short walk among the giants, then to a superb lake before the surreal Yeagarup Dunes (which we didn't know existed!) and finally to the stunning Southern Ocean and the mouth of the Warren River — this tour really is a journey. Greame's knowledge of and respect for nature is inspiring and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for lovers of nature and anyone with an interest in this amazing part of the world. Thanks Graeme, this was a highlight of our holiday.

Great day out

We were part of a small group of 6. Graeme was friendly, interesting and very informative. The scenery was fantastic and the lunch was very good and plentiful.

Excellent 4WD tour Book it!

Our guide was fabulous and gave us a thrilling 4WD tour. There were kids on our tour that wanted to ford a river that was not part of the tour. So he did it for them! What a rush. Cannot recommend enough. We would do it again.

Very varied forest and beach safari in 4WD. excellent

The forests around Pemberton WA are near unique and the drive or forest tracks was great. After an hour or so, including a short walk/ break. the tyres on the 4 wheel drive were let down to 10 lb and we went off road directly from forest tracks to huge sand dunes, a lunar landscape and an exhilarating ride on the sand over huge dunes to the sea and a drive along the coast. This is a one off trip not to be missed if in the area. The ride must take a huge toll on the vehicle which I imagine needs very regular maintenance. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience, highly recommended!

We did had a fabulous day with Graeme doing a 1/2 day tour with a lovely group. There were so many highlights - the magnificent scenery, fun 4WD'ing, Graeme's fabulous work as our guide and the ability to jump out and explore a pristine part of Australia. It was exceptionally good value and I highly recommend this your to people visiting the region

Reconnecting with the past to plan the future

What an amazing idea for connecting back with nature and the beauty which the Southwest is known. Graeme our guide was both informative and passionate about the areas we visited and the impact humanity is having on the environment.we learnt also about both the early aboriginal lore and movements through the area as well as the impact of early settlers both positive and negative. For a well travelled person, I was pleasantly impressed by how little I new of the early settlers in this area. A trip everyone should take whether as a local, Australian or overseas visitor it’s one to add to the list when in Western Australia.

Great trip with expert guidance from Graeme. Really enjoyed the journey to the beach in particular. The girls from Glasgow also made it very entertaining!

Galloping Granny

Even though weather was cool , rain showers it was an enjoyable, informative tour . We enjoy short walk in the forest, photos of Warren River, after out through Dunes to the Southern Ocean, along the beach. After back through dunes, stopped at Picnic Shelter for lunch and cuppa and chat to others on the tour.

Back for more

This week we did our second tour with Graeme. Our first was during Covid when we were unable to travel out of the state and it was a phenomenal experience opening our eyes to areas of our state we never knew existed. Graeme offered us a great insight into looking after our forrest regions and the surrounding eco systems. Our most recent trip was Monday 14th November and we bought along 2 relatives from the UK as we knew this would be an experience, they could not achieve anywhere but the Pemberton region with Graeme's careful and experienced off road driving abilities. I have no doubt that we will do it again in the future. Thanks again Graham for another great adventure.

Best way to explore the area

This was such a fun experience. Graeme did a wonderful job conveying his knowledge of the region in a fun and entertaining way and his love for nature could be felt throughout the tour. We enjoyed the beautiful Karri trees in the forests, the adventurous drive over the white sand dunes down to the coast where the Warren River runs into the Southern Ocean as well as a lovely home made lunch by the lake. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Pemberton and we warmly recommend it to anyone coming through here. Thank you!

Make some time on your holiday

We booked the half day national parks eco tour, we had looked at the photos and reviews but we didn't 100% know what to expect. Our tour guide was great, really friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was able to ask lots of questions and feel comfortable asking them which is always good. The guide also had a sense of humour which is always appreciated. We had time to get out and explore at each section of the tour (we took loads of photos). It was great to go 'off the beaten track' and see things you wouldnt dream of attempting to access if your own car. We were shown lots of flowers and trees and wildlife. We also tried Snottygobble. Lunch was provided by the local bakery.. and their sandwiches are just fantastic. Overall, a great way to spend half a day.

A wonderful tour of discovery

A really wonderful tour getting to see places we'd never get to otherwise. Very experienced and knowledgeable guide and great company as I went with friends. The sea was beautiful and the homemade Anzac cookies and cake were a delightful touch. I highly recommend this tour!

Really fun adventure

This was so much fun! We did a 4wd tour through the forest, up onto the sand dunes & then along the beach. Its very bumpy, but oh so much fun. Graeme is very knowledgeable about the local area & all round top bloke. The scenery is stunning, the vehicle was clean & comfortable for this type of journey. We had a delicious afternoon tea to finish it all off. Everyone had a great time - would highly recommend doing this when in Pemberton!

FABULOUS

We had a fabulous time with Graeme on our work team building weekend and he was so knowledgable and kind and we loved every minute of it. We really enjoyed it and we would highly recommend this tour as seeing the sand dunes in the middle of the dense forrest was amazing. He even took some fabulous photos for us. If your in Pemberton this is a must do … such a great experience and our Guide/driver Graham was so experienced informing us along the way … this journey through the bush and over sand dunes onto the beach was a great day out plus a lunch feast to finish … can’t recommend this trip any more …

Awesome 4WD Trip!

Very enjoyable tour!

I very much enjoyed everything about this tour. It was great fun to access the Warren National park and the D'entrecasteaux National park in a 4WD and also explore the Yeagarup sand dunes and the beach. I would highly recommend this tour for people wanting to get to know the area. It is informative yet also very relaxing and fun. I really appreciated how knowledgeable Graeme was. I also enjoyed meeting the other travellers in the group and talking while we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch from the bakery. I certainly hope to do this tour again at some stage.

The Adventure Eco tour with Pemberton Discovery tours is an absolute 'must do'!! My wife and I had an amazing experience - seeing areas that are only accessible by 4WD. From the magnificent and majestic karri tree forest, to the surreal Yeagarup sand dunes, and finally arriving at the ocean where one experienced the power of waves crashing on to the beach. Great Fun

Great journey...the transition from Karri Forrest to sand dunes and the windy ocean amidst the rain showers was....wow! Really worth doing...Graham was a terrific guide and the Anzac biscuits were a nice treat.

Local hidden gem.

This tour highlights the hidden gems that are otherwise unavailable to many travellers. Graham has many years of knowledge and understanding of the local environment which he points out during the journey. The drive through the sand dunes is a buzz. Great to support a local business. Very enjoyable.

Stunning landscape

This was a great small group tour. From the giant karri forest across the Yeagerup sand dunes to the mighty Southern Ocean. We enjoyed the opportunity to really explore this part of WA in a fun exciting way. Graeme is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and very protective of the environment. Even stopping to pick up discarded cans!
