Wine had me seeing God

Bernie was an amazing tour guide in this journey of flavor!! I really loved how the cellar kept going, unfortunately we couldn’t see the deepest most ominous layer (wish we had been allowed). Overall vibes were really great, snacks were yummy wish the portions were bigger.

Mixed

Going down in to the Cellars was fascinating. Our host was extremely knowledgeable & the talk was very interesting. However there were 10 of us in all, so we only had the smallest amount of wine each. (He didn’t even share all the wine out but left some in each of the 3 bottles for the quickest person to nab at the end) I must say we all thought that that seemed rather mean.

Amazing experience! Perfect mix of Vienna history, wine details and entertainment. Highly recommend, the wines were very nice, the location is incredible. The history you can see in the bricks and cellar is fascinating, our host was the best! Really felt like we were having a wine and cheese night with friends!

Wine history and yummy wines

Loved this cute little store. We even stayed after to enjoy a glass of wine. We learned so much during this tour and really enjoyed going underground. I think if you’re looking for something fun to take a break of sightseeing this is your tour. If you’re expecting a wine tour like one from California or Italy, this is not that long. But I can assure you it is equally delicious wine and very knowledgeable

Wine guide had a great knowledge of Vienna wine. The snacks went well with the wine. The underground tunnels were interesting.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

Very knowledgeable guide, lots of history given about the wines. It was my first ever wine tasting and everything was explained well and in detail. Wines and snacks were delicious.

We had an amazing time at this tasting! We were supposed to be with a few others and they cancelled so it ended up being private. Our wine pro & pourer was super knowledgeable and fun. Great history and even better wine! The cellars were super cool. A great experience overall!

Pleasant and Sweet

Our tour guide was brilliant and had the perfect balance of knowledge of local wines and international wines from other regions Gentlemen seemed like he loved his wine which came across in the process. Was very fortunate to have a small group so was able to have a bit more time with the small your of the wine Celler and get to ask questions on how local Austrian wines compared to ours in Australia.

More than just a wine cellar!

To our pleasant surprise we got a "private" wine tour in that no other participants signed up for this day. Originally I thought the tour was just going to be downstairs in the cellar, but it is actually 3 floors down in an authentic 300-400 years old cellar that served as an underground "city" so to speak for shopowners back in the day. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave some of the best "Austrian-certified" wines, including a couple that were more unique and renegade, according to our indicated preferences. This was truly one of the most pleasant surprises of our entire trip! Highly recommend 10/10

Great wine tasting in an unique underground cellar

This wine tasting takes place in a boutique wine store, in the underground cellar. The host showed us the property 1st which was very interesting. About 3 levels down but perhaps even more underground. There was 8 of us sitting at a large table. Each couple got a small cheese plate to accompany the 3 local wines we tasted. All 3 wines were excellent. The host discussed each one of them and as a group, we all participated. My husband and I enjoyed this wine tasting and would recommend to those wine lovers that would like to taste local Austrian wines in a cozy cellar.

You only get to taste a small amount of 3 different wines, and for that it’s a bit expensive. I would recommend another wine tour.

Wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful experience at this wine tasting. The host was knowledgeable and interesting, and we learned a lot about Austrian wines. The wines were delicious and appetizers were tasty. Going down into the cellar was fun, and it was a very unique place to do the tasting. Our group of 8 was seated at a large comfortable table where we could all relax and chat as we enjoyed the wines. We would have liked the experience to last another 30 minutes - it seemed a bit short. The only caution for others might be that you have to go down several flights of stone stairs to get to the cellar- which could be a problem for those who have trouble with stairs. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Prost! Cheers to Viennese wines and Roman architecture

First we toured the multiple levels of the basement where the host pointed out the Roman aspects and the history of that part of the city. Then we settled in for the wine tasting, trying 4 different Viennese wines. They even added a red wine to the tasting based on the preference of the group. The host was very knowledgeable about Austrian wines and answered all our questions. It was enjoyable and a great respite from all the walking we were doing to see the city while learning about the city’s history and the local wine culture. Highly recommend.

Une dégustation menée tambour battant 😢. Avons demandé au guide, mais sans succès, de ralentir le rythme pour bien comprendre les explications en anglais. Nous n'avons pas tout compris et donc peu apprécié la dégustation. Pas de document fourni pour les vins dégustés

Cornelius, der "Somelier" hat bei uns einen ausgezeichneten Eindruck hinterlassen. Seine Ausführungen waren interessant und spaßig vorgetragen. Die Probiersorten waren sehr gut ausgewählt und schmackhaft. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Aanrader, voor proeverij kan wat meer tijd uitgetrokken worden

Korte rondleiding door de kelders met een stukje historie van Wenen. Daarna een proeverij van 3 wijnen, tempo van de proeverij had wat langzamer gekund.
