Turns a travel day into a great experience

This was such a great way to turn a boring travel day (relocating from Vienna to Prague) into an adventure. We saw many beautiful locations along the way, but the real highlight was our guide, Zuzana. She was so insightful, patient and kind throughout the long 10 hour day. We traveled with children who needed frequent bathroom stops; something Zuzana easily accommodated. She gave us a wonderful insight into growing up in Slovakia after the Velvet Revolution, explaining the different sub-cultures that have combined and divided again in the former Czechoslovakia. Best of all, Zuzana did not work to a fixed script, but just chatted easily about any topic we raised with her. This made the journey time pass surprisingly quickly in such a pleasant and friendly fashion. SideTrip Tours are lucky to have her.

Great service!

My family of 4 happened to be lucky enough to be the only ones travelling on this trip but I don't think a full tour of 8 would have made the experience any less enjoyable. Our guide, Peter, was friendly, accommodating and informative also a very good driver which helped everyone feel comfortable and safe. It was very cold on the day of our trip so we dashed around the stop off points pretty quickly to get back to the warmth of the minivan. As we were the only group, Peter was happy to make a change to our itinerary so we could visit Kutna Hora which is usually done on the trip going the other way. We got finished and into Prague a couple of hours early and Peter even dropped us at our hotel instead of the drop off point In the city. So in summary it was an excellent way to travel between Vienna and Prague to get a better feel of the Czech landscape and if you're lucky, you'll get Peter as your guide.

Great way to see the smaller towns

This tour is a great way to see the smaller towns that would have been difficult to access unless you self-drive. We had a great time with our guide Zuzana. In winter, sky gets dark by 3+pm, and she drove us safely in the dark to Prague. Thanks for the tour.

The best way to get from Vienna to Prague

Sidetrip turned my journey from Vienna to Prague into a full day adventure. There were only four other people on my tour which meant that the stops and information were very personalized. I really appreciated the information and stories that Jakub provided as we moved through the Czech countryside. I was able to see places I never would have otherwise. The feeling of being some of the only people at Lednice on a cold, wintery day was truly magical. I would highly recommend Sidetrip to anybody as it truly feels like you are visiting with a friend. I hope to take another Sidetrip tour soon!

No other way to do it!

Recently traveled to Europe to explore a bit before reaching our ultimate destination, a soccer match in England. I really didn't know what to expect but was completely blown away by the experience. Our host Peter was friendly, knowledgeable about the history of Austria and Czech Republic, and accommodating for our entire group (only 4 of us). We made 4 well paced stops, all of which were interesting and engaging. If you are making the same journey you simply cant do better than to book this company.

Excellent, educational, comfortable, personal tour drive -- and a great value

We were spending a week and half in Vienna and knew we wanted to explore other important cities. We chose this tour as an educational and experiential way to enjoy the 200+ miles to Prague. Alexandra met us and 1 other couple on time at a great location in Vienna and drove us professionally on this fascinating tour and trip. She was an excellent guide whose English was very good. We drove mostly a tourist route through countrysides that were beautiful and rolling, stopping at a winery, an Italiante restored town in Moravia, and an attractive church and gardens. These provided experiences and memories far greater than the faster return trip by train -- at a lower cost than the train. We highly recommend this tour and Alexandra as a great way to go from Vienna to Prague or vice-versa.

Exploring with Side Trip Tours the second time

We have done a one way tour with them from Budapest to Vienna and again this trip from Vienna to Prague. Spacious van and 4 passengers on this trip as well. Really like the small group idea. Well paced and relaxed, reached Prague by 7 in the evening. Our guide was Petr who was very friendly and again gave us a good overview of the towns/villages. Sampled local food with him as well. I have suggested Side Trip tours to our friends and some people we met on our travels. This is a great way of travelling from one place to another. Would most definitely recommend.

Great trip from Vienna to Prague! Definitely the way to go!

We decided to skip the train and instead did a private transfer/tour going from Vienna to Prague. The communication was really good as they crafted a custom itinerary just for us based on what we wanted to see. Sarka was a terrific driver and guide, giving us lots of good info about both both countries and the places we visited. She was also very accommodating to our every wish (food, bathroom, etc). It was a much more leisurely and enjoyable way to get from Vienna to Prague compared to the train. Thanks for making our trip even more memorable!
