Truly worth the trip!

Highly recommended! Got a chance to taste different Austrian wines which we dont have in our country. Nice to see the country side. Martin our tour guide did a great job!

FANTASTIC—do not miss

Amazing experience!! Do not miss this chance to get to know Austrian wine outside of the bustle of the city and experience the beauty of the country side. Our guide, Stephen (and the other guide, Martin), was so friendly and helpful and clearly enjoys his job, and each wine maker was clearly passionate about their vocation. We tasted some great wines, learned new things, and had an extraordinary half day. Book early! We waited and it was booked out—we got very luck with a last minute cancellation. Totally wonderful in every way.

Great change of scenery!

My colleagues and I did this wine tour as part of a team building day and we loved it. It was a great way to experience the countryside of Vienna while trying local wines. We had an excellent time and it was a lovely day with the weather! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see a bit of the countryside and loves wine 😎

7/10 experience

Tour guide is amazing and he definitely knows his job. Friendly with wide knowledge that can enrich your whole experience. The only downside of the trip is that the wine owners could have more preparations on the wine introductions, so that we can actually know what to expect on each wine instead of simply drinking and chatting casually.

Fabulous!!

I have been on many wine tours before, but I think this one was top contender for top tour. The wineries chosen were unique, the wines were delicious, and dinner was authentically Austrian. It was a treat to enjoy the Austrian countryside. Harold, our guide, and Tomas, the owner of the company were delightful! 10 out of 10!

Perfect wine tour

Great wine tour with lovely wines. Paulo was a brilliant guide. Would highly recommend and would gladly do it all over again.

A well worth tour.

We had an enjoyable wine tour with lunch. Our guide was friendly and very informative. Both wineries were wonderful and each wine that we sampled had its own unique but delicious flavour. The lunch was fantastic.

Excellent guide

Martin was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and provided excellent conversation. We chose the 10am start time and wish we would have known that in this time slot we would only be visiting 2 wineries rather than 3

What an afternoon in the countryside!!

The winery tour outside of Vienna that included dinner was a wonderful afternoon and we would recommend it to all. Our guide Martin was so knowledgeable and very entertaining. He helped make the afternoon memorable, along with the beautiful vineyards, lovely hospitality and gorgeous views. Not to mention the great wines we tasted at each stop! Leaving the crowded city to experience the beautiful countryside was just wonderful.

A perfect way to experience the countryside!

What a perfect ending to our amazing trip! Martin took us to a few boutique wineries where we enjoyed seeing the countryside, many glasses of wine, tasting snacks, a delicious dinner, and some wonderful views… and even some “yodeling”. So much fun!

Delightful

Stephan was fun and informative and the 3 wineries were welcoming and the wine delicious. Definitely recommend!

Delicious wine, informative tour.

Getting out of the city for awhile to enjoy the Austrian vineyards was amazing . Our tour guide, Rudi, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wineries were very educational and generous pours! Very fun group to hang out with and experience some fantastic wine near Vienna. Highly recommended.

2nd wine stop (prinz bio weinbau) Very hospitable and able to see process of making wine. Actually went into the vineyard. More personable.

Definitely recommend!

Our guide Tamaz (might be spelled wrong) was very knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy his job. The first winery was very cute and we were able to see vineyards and the second was a very traditional winery so it was also very nice. Wines and food were great and learned a lot!

Winery tour close by Vienna

We really enjoyed our wine tour. Our hotel was not on the pick up list, so we walked to the pickup location at the Intercontinental, which was an easy and enjoyable walk. We were just with one other couple and a new guide who was shadowing our guide for the day. During the drive out of the city our guide spoke the entire time about the city, the wine region and other things which was interesting and made time pass quickly. The wine region we were going to is just outside of the city, so only took maybe 40 minutes or so. The first winery was great. The owner came out with his wines and described Austrian style wines. Another van from the same tour group joined us as well. We also received some appetizers to have with our wine. The weather wasn’t great, but it was still very enjoyable. The next winery was actually in a small town and is an active restaurant. The owner took us down to the cellar for the first 2 wines and the tour guide acted as an interpreter. We then were brought up to the main dining room where we shared a family style lunch and chatted with other passengers. We also had 2 more wines during lunch. I would say that I would have preferred to go to wineries that were out in the vineyards as opposed to a restaurant location. It was a holiday weekend, so a 3rd winery was not available, but I think it would have been nice to have one more winery included. All in all I think it was well worth it and an enjoyable day. If you take the 10am slot you get back around 2pm and then have the rest of the day to enjoy Vienna.

Authentic Experience, Amazing Wines

Very glad that we booked this! As opposed to some of the more "touristy" things to do, this was an amazing low-key experience. The small group size (ours was 8) is a definite plus. Stephan, the driver/guide, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Learned things at all three locations and experienced amazing local food and wines. Overall it's a perfect way to get out of the city for a while and experience some awesome local wineries, including vintages that cannot be found anywhere else.

The Great Escape!

Martin was a very knowledgeable guide with a depth of " wine" knowledge. He was attentive to our specific needs and made the outing one to remember. A beautiful day in the Austrian countryside!

Disappointing

Tour went almost 2 hours over time and we missed our dinner reservation . Tour guide drinking and driving , would not recommend this tour ! Tour guide was not knowledgeable about the area

A true Vienna Gem!

Martin was an exceptional tour guide and his personal and professional attention provided for a wonderful afternoon of tastings. The wine operators were very informative when it came to their craft and the wine selections were of high caliber. The experience was a highlight of our time in Vienna.

Loved it

The guide was great and provided good info on the wines and flexibility on our return journey. The meal was generous and the wines were superb.

Wonderful wines but not value for money

Enjoyed the tour overall but disappointed that only went to one winery in the countryside. Guide was very good and wines excellent, nonetheless. Dinner was quite average, given the tour cost. Value for money? Believe it was on the expensive side.

Great Experience! Would highly recommend for an easy day outing.

This was a fantastic trip. It was 4 people in total including my partner and I. We visited 4 wineries and tasted 3 wines from each visit for a grand total of 12 wines. Each of the stops was very well tailored. The owner would come out, speak to each of the wines and give us a tasting. In addition they would help answer questions about the grapes, wine selections, options to buy, how the weather changes things. It was most educative. In addition to this all, there was food so that one would not be imbibing alcohol on an empty stomach, which is absolutely a requirement. And the food is nothing short of brilliant! We had a variety of options, all included in the cost, of meats and vegetables and bread. The tour operator even asked if any one had dietary restrictions to help accommodate those. The tour was fabulous, low pressure and a wonderful experience. It was not rushed and we got lucky to have a small group of like minded people who were an absolute delight to be around!

Amazing trip.

It was absolutely amazing trip. Meeting point was very easy to find. Our host Martin was the best - very friendly and knowledgeable. It was way more what we were expected. Book it!

Absolute MUST DO! Paulo was so nice and shared his knowledge of the wine region as we traveled to our first destination. The first winery was my favorite, they’re fairly new to the tour and the owner himself guided our tasting. He was so nice and truly cared about educating us on wine growing. His mother made us snacks to eat during our tasting which was super cute! Absolutely loved every wine we tried! The second place was a wine distributor, the wines were spectacular, and the owner was funny and kind. The third place was quaint and cozy with the BEST dinner! All of the people we met at the wineries were so authentic and genuinely cared about what they do and sharing it with others. The wine was very good too! We had an absolute blast. This was my favorite excursion on our entire trip. When it was over I wanted to do it all over again!

Great wines

Good opportunity to try Austrian wines with knowledgeable host. We sampled 11 wines and had a traditional Austrian dinner with convivial group.

There were four people taking the tour and two guides. Very laid back and great conversation. Loved seeing the countryside. Great weather. The two venues we visited were quite nice with their own vineyards attached. Very good lunch served at second venue. Pablo and Tamas were excellent guides. Nice touch was being picked up right at our hotel.

Highlight of the trip

We really enjoyed the wine tour. Possibly the highlight of our trip. So convenient to be picked up and all three tastings were wonderful. Dinner was an excellent authentic meal in a beautiful outdoor setting. We were very lucky the weather was nice and Pablo was a perfect host and guide for the tour.

Wine Tasting

Lovely afternoon with Martin. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is that we didn’t get to meet the wine maker at the first stop. In fairness they were planning for a huge festival and rushed. Beware that the tour is not 4 hours. We left at 3 and I didn’t get dropped off near my hotel until 9:30. Martin is flexible and accommodating. I just wish that I had learned more about winemaking. It is def a tasting tour only.

Highly recommend this tour, the Austrian countryside was very lovely and the wine was great. Our guide Martin was awesome, very kind and knowledgeable about the area. This tour is definitely worth it if you have the time.

Best Experience Ever - Book !!!!

Wow everything about this was amazing. We did a wine tour in Vienna with dinner, it was outstanding. 3 different places, 13 glasses of wine (a wee extra 1 cause it was only 2 of us) food amazing and traditional and was just a wonderful experienced. We had Tamas as he was training a new guide Paulo who will be excellent, the stories and conversation was like being out with friends and We just loved the whole thing. Was fun and light hearted and just about enjoying yourself. Couldn’t recommend it more, when we come back we will definitely be booking again as they go different places sometimes. Also they have one in Budapest which we will defo be giving a try. You should definitely book this, we were away from 3pm - 8pm and the day flew in. I loved it so much, thank you. Natasha & Paul

Wine Tour

Informative guide, beautiful wine and food. A delay to get going but didn’t ruin the day at all. Martin our driver and guide was wonderful sharing lots of information along the way.

A wonderful experience

Martin was such a wonderful tour guide! We learned so much and had such a fun time -- we didn't want the night to end. Don't miss out on the tour. You get so much for the cost, meet great people, and drink amazing wines. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

Really fun day out with lots of delicious wines!

Martin was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable about the wine and with information about Vienna and the local area. We had an amazing time trying lots of different and delicious wines. We purchased a couple of bottles from the first vineyard - Holzer - to enjoy again later. Lunch was great - in a cosy restaurant, and afterwards Martin kindly dropped us off back at our accommodation. We were a small group of 5 tourists but we all got on really well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic day!

We enjoyed a fabulous day wine tasting at 3 locations. It was just a small group of 5 and our guide Martin was a friendly guy who shared lots of insights during our trip. The original plan was to visit 2 locations but since the minibus didn’t need to be back for a later trip we were able to extend the tour to a 3rd tasting. Lots of delicious wine was enjoyed by all and a few purchases made for later! Overall a great day out and would highly recommend.

Best wine tour!

Incredible tour with Tamas and his colleague! They were both so knowledgeable and friendly. They ensured everyone was taken care of and included. The wineries were exquisite. I highly recommend this tour as it was outstanding!

A very enjoyable afternoon

Martyn was an excellent chauffeur, guide and translator. We felt completely safe and well informed in his company. He had an equally good report with the owners of the vineyards. Wasn’t a cheap experience but absolutely worth every penny. An experience with friends we will never forget.

Worth Every Penny

We visited 3 wineries during our day out. Each winery served us delicious wine. The wineries had friendly staff who exude a love of what they do. Our third stop included a meal. It was delicious and vegetarian friendly. Our guide (Norbert) went above and beyond to make sure that we had whatever we needed. It was a really fun day. I visited with my 2 adult daughters, 22 & 24 years of age and they had a blast.

Worth the time.

Tour operator was personable and the vineyard owners were super knowledgeable and will to speak about wine. Didn’t hide in the back office. Fantastic for white wine lovers.

Very nice trip. Delicious wines at each of the 3 stops. And surprisingly good dinner. Michael was a pleasant, friendly and helpful guide and we met nice people on the trip too!

Away from the city

Great excursion! We went out to the country side and visited 3 wineries. It is a nice way to hang with the locals. The wine was great!

We had a really good time visiting 3 small-business wineries and enjoyed all the wines. The small group (8 people total) was also preferred.

Great choice to dip your toes into Austrian wine

Great tour of the small villages right on the outskirts of Vienna. It was an easy van ride to 3 different wineries and we shared a delicious dinner at the last one. Our guide Thomas was funny and helpful. I would not knock a star for this because it’s all delicious wine and a fun time, but it’s fair to mention I think this tour is more for beginners in wine in general. We are not new to wine but are new to Austrian wine so we wanted to dig into each varietal of grape that we taste and learn about, and mostly we were told a few tasting notes and the name of the grape(s) used. Again not a fault of anyone just our preference. We would recommend this tour to friends to taste different wines, have great views, and eat great food!

One fantastic tour!!!

This tour is TOP notch! Our driver and guide Tamas was funny, quick witted and very knowledgeable of the area and wines. The three wineries we visited were absolutely fantastic! The last stop included dinner which exceeded our expectations. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Great experience!

Steve was a great tour guide! We had great Austrian wines from local vineyards/growers. One of us drinks only white wine and he was so gracious to ensure that the tasting was all white wine only at each place. It was a nice above and beyond gesture. We had a great time and highly recommend the tour!
