Mesmarazing lifetime experience

Tiger sighted at Ranthambore zone 3. Udaipur is excellent, and all other places will give you unique experience. You will not find this kind of variety in any other state.

Over all good. Ghoomad dance needs improvement. Kalbelia dance should be added. Colour lights must be installed.

Worth watching. Very good. But it will look more goid if colour lights are focused & rotated on each dance. Improvement in costumes worn by each lady is required. Matka dance was amazing, by keeping so many pots on head & to dance so fast was great. Standing on glass pieces & also on Metal plate was great. Comparer of programme the lady did her job very nicely. Over all very good. Dance Kalbelia should be added. Quality of Ghoomad dance needs improvement.

Highly enjoyable show.

Tera (13) thali and the lady dancing with the pots and on the plate was very very nice. It was a very good performance and overall a very enjoyable show. There is also a brief explanation of the dances before each performance which helps to understand the culture better. Give it a try, you won't regret.

Absolutely Wow!

All the different dance items that were presented were superb. The special part was the sitting dance (Terha thali). It was just amazing to watch such nice performance from all the participants including the persons on dhol and harmonium. I would recommend everyone to watch it.

Udaipur Folk Dance

Their performance was moderately good and considering that there are no other organised Folk dance event options in Udaipur, this is good.

Entertaining, No Stress Evening

We arrived in Udaipur earlier in the day and booked this tour because we weren’t familiar with the area. The driver was very helpful and made our evening easy and pleasant. We were picked up at our hotel. After a mini walking tour including an unexpected visit to a Hindu temple, we arrived early for the show, stood at the front of the line and got the best seats in the house (no reserved seating). The show was interesting and entertaining and incorporated incredible acrobatic feats, culture and choreography. The driver then dropped us at a nearby restaurant for dinner. Using this service enhanced our experience by making our evening worry free.

Must see show

This was a highlight of Udaipur! So great to see some cultural arts show from Rajasthan. For only 150 rupees this is a bargain. Such an incredible experience. Make sure to get there at 6ish and line up for tickets because they do sell out.

Great show - well worth it

We were in Udaipur for a few days and heard about this show. We queued to get the tickets and thankfully were the last group to get in. Not knowing what to expect we enjoyed an excellent show with great music, singing and dancing. Well worth the entrance price. I think this is a must see if in Udaipur. It is,worth getting there early. They did put a show on at 8.00pm - for a second showing.

Visited with sightseeing Trip

Very nice show representing cultural dances, puppets show I was with Udaipur sightseeing trip we did this as relaxing activity in evening then drop Hotel. If you love to see dances of Rajasthan do not miss cultural session.

Fantastic cultural dance experience

Wonderful multimedia show with beautiful costumes and interesting folk dances from the area. A very worthwhile evening.As a bonus it is very inexpensive. If you dont have tickets be in line by 5-45pm, as latecomers to the line did not get tickets. Book online in advance at : dharoharfolkdance.in

The show is a scam. Terrible. The show is not a good representation of the Rajasthani culture. We were at the Leela Palace Hotel Udaipur, and we saw a memorable and tasteful Rajasthani show with local musicians and dancers. At the center, everything looks improvised and cheap. The hostess and two of the musicians were on the phone texting. The show is a fiasco that makes a lot of money from the tourists and some locals.

Must visit

If you're visiting Udaipur don't miss out bagore ki haveli folk dance. Show begins at 6.30pm. Although the show is short (60 to 90 mts), some of the folk artists are simply superb. Although the show facilitators make a fuzz abt taking photos on mobile without paying them(rs150)..it is worth taking some of the performances. one thing which i don't like is the access to this place.. you've to go through some small to really small poorly lit streets..

Amazing show

We had seen a folk dance show before at a Hotel in India, which hadn't impressed us. But we were told that this show is different. And it was. It is in a traditional Haveli and all the dancers and musicians were good. It was a really interesting show. But the best was at the end, when the oldest dancer an over 70 year old lady balance and danced with 11 clay pots on her head. We were glad we went.

A showcase of Rajasthani Art and Culture

Bagore ki haveli is situated at udiapur near at pichola lake. This is a mesum of Rajasthani culture and at here we need to pay some money for tickets. At there there is a one theater and in this thearter many artist present story related to rajasthani culture and the history of mewar. I spent my one year in udaipur for education and I saw this and all the place of udaipur. This haveli is well decorated and it looks like a palace and it built by mewar rajvanshi. I like and I recommended it.

Dedicate one evening to this

One should come here before 6 to get an entry for this. There is a separate queue for foreigners. Also one has to pay extra Rs100, if one wanna record/click pictures. This dance show is a must watch, for everyone who is visiting Udaipur for the first time. We loved the performances, it depicts the culture of Rajasthan in the form of dance. The expressions, dance are just mesmerizing.

One place which you should not miss in Udaipur

This is one place which you should not miss in your visit to Udaipur. This is a very old haveli renovated and having a museum and few other things to spend time but the most amazing thing is daily evening one hour cultural show presenting Rajasthani folk dances and puppet show which is worth watching.

So colourful, live music, great atmosphere and great seats

So much variety in a show with dancing, puppet show and in an amazing venue, definitely get there early to get great seats. They have seats on mats on the ground or small stadium seating. Live music as well as dancing.

Arrive early to get seats

Definitely important to arrive early to the show to ensure you get a good view. There is a charge to use a camera throughout the performance. A nice show to see.

Skip Agra show and wait for here

So glad we skipped on the $30+ tourist show in Agra and went here instead!!! For just 150R (plus another 150R for a camera) you get an hour long variety show of traditional dance and puppetry in the courtyard of an old haveli. We were here end of April after the tourist rush and it filled up but you could have gotten there at 6:45 and been fine. If you’re here during a busier time definitely arrive early!

Varied and vibrant show

We enjoyed seeing and learning about the different type of traditional dances from around Rajistan. The dancers and musicians are very talented and the show is well organised. Even if the sitting area is not the most comfortable, the show is 1hour long so you will definitely forget about this as you get sucked into the dynamic and colorful show !

A peak into the culture of Rajasthan

Though the space available for the show is limited and the haveli is in a very congested place in the city but the program is really good. Once it starts one forgets the difficulty in reaching at the place. The performances were excellent and no appreciation will be sufficient for an old lady of 72 years who dances with 9 pitchers on her head, hats off to her!

Soirée inoubliable!

Soirée pleine de plaisir dans ce bel endroit archi-bondé. Des danses variées et un spectacle de marionnettes enthousiasmant. Ie public, à majorité indien, ne cachait pas sa joie. A faire impérativement lors d’un passage à Udaipur!
