Lovely dinner at Jagmandir Palace

The whole experience was amazing, we were picked up by our driver from our hotel, a short drive passed the city Palace to Pichola Lake, then onto a boat to Jagmandir Palace. The views were stunning. When we arrived we had time to look around, take more photos and enjoy the view. We went into the restaurant and enjoyed a really nice meal, my mum is gluten free and the chef came out specifically to let us know what she could eat. Though they weren't things she'd choose, she enjoyed her meal. The rest of us thoroughly enjoyed it. After our meal we took the boat back where our driver had stayed and waited for us. A very lovely experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Spectacular birthday dinner

We loved the whole experience. Great host, amazing food, beautiful venue with incredible service. The set menu is wonderful.

Location, location, location!

Stunning location! Once in a lifetime experience to feast in a palace on a lake surrounded by the old city, floating palaces and temples on the hills! A memorable experience ( not inexpensive but worth it). We were treated wonderfully- best table in the house with views across the lake. A pre-your of the museum and plenty of photo opportunities. A culinary delight: sampling of vegetarian non vegetarian Rajastani fare. Excellent attention and service from our waiter. To top it off, we were lucky to be there on a special National occasion in India - temple inauguration - so the entire evening was complete with the backdrop of fireworks rumbling through the mountains! It was wonderful- hats off to the staff!

Just ok...

Basically it was depressing. Too cool out to sit comfortably outside and the inside was less than atmospheric. Dark so could not see the water...Service was very nice but a few things we thought of ordering they did not have. Food was just OK. Hard to overcome the boring room. Guessing in season when warmer it would have a nicer feel. Prices added up fast and we were surprised by how much we surpassed the required deposit of 5000r. I am guessing just a tourist spot. I enjoyed a local rooftop restaurant much better. Again, wait staff was very accommodating...but otherwise nothing special.

A superb superb experience of this outstanding summer palace turned garden and hotel. Definitely worth a visit for dinner with loved ones. It caters for traditional Rajasthani fare and others too. The restaurant staff were fantastic. Service was great. Food was tasty and a good choice. A beautiful place to celebrate an important occasion. Thank you for making our day even more special.

Not Worth the Value

The boat ride was good, the ambience of the Hotel and its layout are excellent. The dinner charges are as expensive as the best in any of the Luxury hotels of Delhi but the food is atrocious. It is not even edible if you are looking for scrumptious food. Half baked potatoes in Russian Salad, ready made frozen kabas, soup tasting like red pepper, main course served in instalments like an English Course Dinner and pathetic presentation of Dessert. Its highly over priced, over rated and over hyped.

Unique experience. Must try dinner at this beautiful place in the middle of the lake. Food is decent and staff is very welcoming.

Lovely Ambience, beautiful views, lavish veg and non veg buffet spread. Food was tasty and freshly prepared. Service needs some improvement. They forgot to serve us with water. Welcome drinks were served after we had already finished our starters.

I went to Jagmandir island Udaipur with my wife and 4 year old daughter. 1st I went only for sightseeing through HRH Group boating which starts city palace itself. The place was so beautiful n full of nature that we thought of coming again next day for dinner. We pre booked the table 1 day before by booking this Jagmandir island palace dinner booking option. We reached in time at 7pm that we get the best of table with panoramic views of lake pichola. The restaurant manager was kind enough to make us sit on our choice of table. He explained us about all the dishes we enquired and suggested which ones to go for. Believe me the food was excellent. This is a property for good taste buds along with good panoramic views of the lake. I suggest one should make it a point to have a dinner once during the stay at Udaipur.

The overall experience definitely ranks as a must do in Udaipur. The boat ride to the mandir plus the dinner with the views makes it memorable.

Nice views amazing location but lacks faculties for tourism and tourists visiting

Amazing place for wedding and stay best views of city but could had maintained well and with no of tourist visit no good facilities available also Restuarant is expensive and not much food menu available must have better facilities for tourist as boat ride also cost with entry ticket taken to visit Jag Mandir .
