if you want to go trekking through the rice paddies in Sidemen, we’d strongly recommend a guide. View was amazing. Many mix plant we saw on tekking.

Awesome trip

It was an awesome Trip. Darya is one of the nicest persons in bali. The walk through the ricefields was fantastic. It was raining heavily, so we had no view on the mountains but because of daryas effort it was still one of the highlights of our trip. He showed us the local market in sidemen, trekked with us through the ricefields, showed us his village and even invited us into his house for a coffee. During this, darya explained a lot. His english is very good, so communication was not a problem. Highly recommended!

Sidemen

We learnt a lot about the plants, trees, flowers and cultivation in Bali. Worth visiting, worth spending money.

Fantastic trek

Fantastic trek our guide Daria was very knowledgeable and interesting ! We loved our walk through all the lovely rice fields !! Lots of vegetables chilies and peanuts !!

Amazing views on agung

Grogeous views of mount agung, we were recommended this by our friends and hotel we were staying at. We went to a few restaurants on our walk (some great others not so great) and our guide knew about everything!

Trekking with beautiful view

Wonderful trekking

It was a very nice trekking. I saw beautiful rice fields, little villages, met village people and working farmers and I enjoyed a very beautiful landscape. I strongly recommand to do this trekking

Best trekking,nature is still natural

Very good experience. It was great and fun along with local guide. We we are also see the farmers working in the field. Enjoyed nature and beautiful climate. At finish point we had lunch at Warung Ume Anyar from restaurant we can see beautiful view. This trekking was not back to start point. We walked to startpoint to taking my motorbike, during i stayed in sidemen i rent motorbike so i could explore other place.

We hiked through the rice fields of Sidemen with Komang. It was a great time with beautiful scenery and Komang's explanations gave us a better understanding of local life! Thanks for everything!

Great Experience! Don‘t miss this when you are on Bali!

If you are in Bali, interested in the landscape and the culture, you should do this trip!!! Darya greeted us at the sideman market and we started with a stroll through the different local products. After that we started our hike into the sidemen vale as a walk-around tour beside the canals of the rice terraces. Darya told us a lot about Bali and the Sidemen region. We could ask any question we were imagining. As a short rest he invited us to his home with very nice tea and talk more about living in Bali and differences to western countries. We finished the trip at a nice warung with a great view. If you want to do something good for you and this region, do this hike!!! Highly recommended!

Walk trough paradise nature with knowledabe guide

We had an awesome morning with Komang. We met him at the market in Sidemen where we first went to buy some fried bananas and rice cakes because we missed our breakfast. Afterwards we walked straight to the rice fields with him and spent the next 3 hours strolling through the fields and villages. The surrounding is the place where he grew up. We talked about the life in the villages, the farming, religious traditions, culture and everything else we were eager to know. Since we only arrived a couple of days before in Bali this was really helpful. The level of English was good. This place is really a paradise, on a 2km walk you will see bananas, chillies, peanuts, maniok, coffee, cacao, pineapple, durian, sweet potatoes, and rice of cause. We ended at a warung where we had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend to do this tour! Thanks again for the experience!

A must do trek in Sidemen!!!

Favorite part of the tour were many - from beautiful rice fields, view of Mount Agung, traditional silk weaving house visit and most of all wonderful atmosphere and warmth of local Balinese people. Our guide Adi gave us the detailed information about local culture, events, lot of information about Mount Agung, Balinese seasons, festivals and culture. During the trek you will get wonderful vista of Sidemen landscape. The trek lasted nearly 3 hours. Thank you dear Adi for an enriching experience.

Off the beaten track

Komang is a great guide and a really nice person with a great laugh 😁 If you want to experience Bali in a non-touristic way, this is the tour to book! You will see beautyfull views on your walking tour and meet some local people. Highly recommended and for that price...

Merci pour cette belle expérience. La randonnée est fascinante tout comme le guide qui partage tout son savoir et sa gratitude. Nous avons fait 4,5km et c’était un pur bonheur. Nice walk over narrow paths and dams through the plantations of Sidemen with a local guide Darya. He told us a lot about the traditional way of life, growing all kinds of local products and the rest that nature has to offer. We even visited his house for a while and were treated to tea and snacks. Very nice to see how he lives there with his family.

An unforgettable experience !!

Magnificent experience in the heart of authentic rice fields. Komang is very interesting, he taught us lots of things about local life. I highly recommend this trek!!

Trekking Sidemen

We zijn met de taxi naar de markt gereden. Daar stond onze gids Komang ons al op te wachten. We zijn dwars door de rijstvelden en chilivelden gelopen. Langs de rivier over de yellow bridge naar zijn geboortedorp. Zijn moeder was aan het werk op de rijstvelden anders waren we nog bij haar langsgegaan. Komang is ook leraar en dat hebben we ervaren. Hij heeft ons zoveel over de natuur en cultuur van Bali uitgelegd. Geweldig leuk en gezellig. Aan het eind van de wandeling kwamen we bij een gezellige warung met prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. We hebben daar superlekker gegeten. Ze vragen daar veel te weinig geld voor. Het is zo heerlijk om daar te eten! Het is echt een aanrader deze tocht! Maartje en Sandra

Traumhafte Landschaft

Durch mangelnde Englischkenntnisse des Guides kam leider keine richtige Kommunikation zustande und es war schwierig zu interpretieren, was er gerade meint. Landschaftlich ein Traum. :)
