Balinese love helps you climb mountains

This seemed like a fantastic opportunity. It was incredibly tough but we had the best help from our local guide autumn. She advised using the motorbike for part of the ascent and then we finished the climb with her. The sunlight was magnificent and breakfast included nana sandwiches, boiled egg, orange and chocolate bar. The climb and descent were slippery and autumn helped me all the way. Our driver Yoga was friendly, patient and shared his loving knowledge of Bali with us. Work hard to get fit and love the experience.

Amazing Hike with a toddler!

We had an amazing experience this morning with Ayu! She went above and beyond to support us with our toddler hiking Mt Batur! We couldn't of got to the top without her! The view was sensational and a perfect breakfast with a sunrise view! 🌞

Great experience

Ayu was such a lovely tour guide, she went above and beyond and made the experience so amazing. Definitely worth the view and was very rewarding. It was very cold around 14 degrees so bring a jumper (can also hire jackets at the bottom before the hike)!

Best hike guide

We had Bagia as our tour guide and he was amazing! He adapted to the pace we set and showed us all the best photo spots. He was really knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Would recommend a hike with him

A magnificent spectacle

We were picked up by our driver Nenga at the agreed location. He was very accommodating. We did the trek with Made Winarti our guide. She was adorable, really very friendly and always smiling, a real pleasure. The site is fabulous, it's definitely worth getting up in the middle of the night to do this hike, the spectacle of the sunrise while having breakfast is wonderful. Ending the experience by relaxing in the hot springs at the foot of Mount Batur made this day one of the best of our stay. To do absolutely !

Fantastic trip thanks to Made Winarti !

This was just amazing. Seeing these Volcanos, the clouds surrouding the valley and the Rising Sun embracing that place... It was just like Natural Mysticism. Thanks To our kindly, gentle and careful guide, Made Winarti, who makes this possible. The trekk is pretty tough but it's worth. Made always helped and supported us ! Sport and nature : the Perfect trip ! And the breakfast and the hotspring To recover ! Wonderful. Thanks to the driver too, a long road but he makes it really easier.

Mt Batur trekking

We had a great trip to Mt Batur with Ayu as a guide. She made the trip wonderful and we felt very taken care for the whole time. Really recomend. We also had Gusti as a driver. He was a really good driver.

Great hiking guide

Made winarti was our guide for our trip and she did a tremendously great job. Highly recommended to engage her if you wish to hike Mt Batu !

Absolutely amazing

Huge thank you to Made Winarti she encouraged us all the way up, making sure we were okay all the way up. The views were amazing and we absolutely loved the experience. Made was so kind and helpful, she also took loads of pictures of us all at sunrise. Thanks to Jero Andi too for driving us too and from the mountain. We had the best time, although the hike was tough it was worth it for the views. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience

Incredible views well worth the early morning pick up! You have to be good fitness to hike as parts are quite steep and can be difficult. Our guide Setitin was fantastic, she was patient and took lots of photos for us showing us all the best bits. Also the driver Jero Andi was reliable and made the travel part easy.

This trip was excellent! All the staff were brilliant from start to finish. They told us all about the history of Mount Batur and it was very informative and enjoyable! I would recommend everybody to do this tour

Awesome morning in the clouds

Fantastic experience and my guide Winartyck was very patient as I slowly made my way up to the top of the mountain. My driver Surgentz was also fantastic. Highly recommend it if you are visiting Bali. Only downside was the clouds blocking a perfect sunrise. Unfortunately no one can tell mother nature what to do.

Gede was a great and fun guide, he drives very safe and was very kind. The view from.Mount Batur is breathtaki g and worth the trip. Is quite hard to get to the top but if you are in good shape you must do this tour..Thanks!

Fantastic and A++ for guide Made Winarti!

This was an amazing hike, beautiful views and an excellent guide Made Winarti! The hike is challenging in parts, Made helped us every step of the way and made sure we were all OK. As we reached the top she prepared a great breakfast that was much appreciated. Thank you Made for taking such good care of us!

Very caring, helpfull and attentive guide

My wife and I started my 60th. birthday by being picked up at our hotel in Sanur. 1½ hour later, we were at "basecamp" where we met Mate, and we got equipped with headlamps, and the trip up the volcano started. Mate was good at addjusting the pace and make sure even the old man could cope with the challenge. At the top we saw the sunrise, but actually most interesting, was the visit inside the crater of the volcano, where hot steam erupts from the underground. I would have liked to upload a video of the hot steam, but can apparently only upload pictures. Afterwards we were driven to Hotsprings nearby, which was so pleasent, and then we got an almost "zen-like" massage. Can give it all my warmest recommandations.

Amazing!!

I highly recommend this tour for everyone! We had a great experience from beginning to ending. Both our driver and tour guide were so nice and friendly! We enjoyed every single minute, and the sunrise at the top of the mountain is just breathtaking!

Amazing Hike

There was an amazing view at the top! The hike was fairly easy and defiantly worth it for what’s at the top. Our guide Ayu was absolutely amazing and guided us up the mountain and provided us with food at the top. This is a must do when in Bali.

No regrets!! Do it !!

Highly recommend this tour if you are of at least medium level fitness. If you enjoy a good leg burner this is for you!! Mountain was a nice challenge and absolutely worth the early rise. Our driver Mawe was on time and delightful to talk with during the trip. We found him very helpful and catered for our every request making us feel at ease right from the get go. We had Made Winarti as our trekking guide and she was an absolute gem. So attentive and kind. We enjoyed every moment with Made up the mountain. No regrets here !!

Unforgettable experience!

We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The pick-up and organisation was excellent and very easy. The mount batur trek is something you must do, the views are incredible and our guide was lovely. We finished with relaxing at the hot springs and then trying local Bali coffee/teas at the coffee plantation. Overall an amazing experience and couldn’t recommend it enough especially for the price.

Great service, great views, tough hike

1. This is a tough hike. Don't let anyone fool you. 2. The views of the sun rise make it well worth it. Its a once in a lifetime experience you don't want to miss. What also made this experience great was out driver, Komang, and tour guide, Made. My husband and I had the best time with Komang and Made. Komang was a great driver, we always felt safe and he had great conversation. On our way back from the hike & hot springs, Komang also stopped at the coffee plantation where we were able to try some Balinese coffee and pick up some gifts for family. The hike was challenging but Made was super helpful. We couldn't have done it without her. She provided us with head lights & walking sticks and once we made it to the top of the mountain, she made us a nice breakfast. Made was very helpful, especially when we got to some tough parts of the hike (there's a lot, haha). Definitely ask for Komang and Made if you want to take this tour. They'll take care of you!

I'd say a must try.

A highly recommended activity in Bali if you enjoy the outdoors. Sunrise was beautiful and the view was amazing. Weather was good too. My driver Nyoman was punctual and friendly. My guide Tangi was wonderful. She was supportive, fun and made it look like a cake walk. Running down parts of Mt Batur is definitely something to try. We completed within an hour and a half and once up there, you take in both the view, your fellow hikers and a light breakfast. It can be slightly challenging. The difficult part for me was the ground which is gravel and ash. It shifts around and gets kicked up with every step. Do bring a buff to cover your nose and mouth for comfort. You won't see it as you ascend due to the darkness but you definitely will feel it in your throat. A walking stick makes it much easier. All in all, give it a go, even if hiking is not quite your thing.

Amazing view and lovely guide

Amazing experience. Lucky with the weather conditions! Our tour guide, Nyoman, led us to the top of Mt. Batur excellently with so much care for each of us. She offered plenty of opportunities to stop and drink water, as well as preparing us breakfast at the top whilst we took in the view.

Every thing went well but going with a sleepy driver was dangerous

Very Nice place , waching the sunrise, the hot springs, having a message and deserve the adventure out proplem was driving with a sleepy driver in the night was really scary

Must do if you’re in Bali!

Absolutely great activity. The hike was a bit steep, but very manageable. It gets cold up there but luckily they have blankets for you to rent. Nyoman was an amazing guide—she was very easy going and got us on too early to get ahead of the crowds. Would absolutely recommend!

Great trek, very kind Guide

I went on the trek this past week and had a great time with Nyoman. She was attentive, personable and extremely helpful. In our group, myself and one other person needed more breaks and more time to go up the mountain, she was as incredibly helpful, making sure we were able to safely navigate both up and down. The view at the top was incredible and overall such a good experience. I recommend you book a tour!

Best guide At Mount Batur

This was great experience that you have to do in Bali. Our guides wayan who was extremly amazing then take us hundreds of great pictures. We highly recomend this tour!

Great morning hike with Wayan

We had an amazing time doing the Mt Batur trek. Our guide Wayan was super and he was very knowledgeable of the trek. He made us a delicious hot Coco and banana sandwiches at the top and took fantastic photographs of us!! It was the best way to start the morning. Thank you Wayan.

Siska & Mawe!

Awesome! Mawe was our driver, he was so wonderfully kind and friendly. He even helped out with an unscheduled stop to help us find something we needed, HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Mawe. Siska was our guide, she is incredible and I adored her, helpful and very friendly. She took great care of me, made sure I was pacing and helped anytime there was question about something steep. I loved this hike, went with my two high school aged kids so they found it easier than I did but with Siska’s help, I managed just fine.

A must when coming to Bali 🐌

This is a must do .. We did the sunrise hike, and it was absolutely worth every minute of missed sleep 😅🍺 You could actually c the transition of colours, separated by lines then blend together until the sun comes out between the clouds .. It was magical honestly If you could choose a guide, I would recommend Wayan 🍺 .. He is very responsible and considerate if you’re not used to hiking .. He’s also very informative, and very good w the camera if you’re looking to post on instagram 👌🏻 Don’t forget to bring something warm for the top, as it’s very chilly. Also, make sure you got good hiking shoes or at least a shoe that you’re willing to throw away after 😅

Unforgettable experience !!

This was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done - memory of a lifetime! The hike up is not easy, but it makes the amazing sunrise and views (together with a banana sandwich and much needed hot drink!) all the better. It is worth every step. Nyoman, our guide, was the best. She was so helpful, with info, support and plenty of lovely chats to get us through the walk - it was lovely to be able to spend this experience with her! It was also my birthday and Nyoman organised for her and the other tour guides to surprise me with a cake and sang happy birthday at the top - making it an unforgettable birthday. If you’re visiting Bali, you need to do this!!!

Bucket list must do

A mate and I did this and had a great time. Early morning start but it’s well worth it. Convenient hotel pick up and drop off by private driver rather than a bus load of people. The driver gets in contact with you the day before with pick up time. Our guide Wayan (Instagram - hiking_with_wayan) was absolutely amazing. He looked after us from the word go. Always checking if we required a rest stop and sometimes enforced them as it can be quite challenging in some places on the way up and down. He supplied all the equipment (hiking poles and head torches) and made a nice warm breakfast once at the top. Very informative about the area and seeks out the best vantage point for you to watch this amazing experience unfold. Wayan was also amazing at taking photos and videos. For all who seek that famous instagram shot, he’s your guy. We were blessed with the weather staying dry and clear sky’s with cloud rolling through now and again. It does get cold so as you are 1700m above sea level. The hike up will keep you warm but take appropriate clothing to wear at the summit as it can get quite cold. Highly recommended and if you manage to get Wayan as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience. I’m sure the other guides are great though as they all seem happy and cheerful as always. Thank you so much Wayan ☺️🙌🏻🙏🏻

The morning hike was worth it! All of them are helpful and nice. They pick you up from the hotel and at the top of the mountain you get breakfast👍🏼

Stunning view and amazing trip (all thanks to Wayan, our super guide!)

Given I am reasonably unfit, I was a little worried before going but we made it and it was so worth it!!! We had to change hotels last minute so the driver had to come to both as we couldn't reach them but was super friendly and didn't complain at all! After the drive we met our guide Wayan who was awesome, he gave us head torches and bamboo sticks for our hike. The route was great, we started through a farm before a dirt road and then a gravel track from the volcano. The torches were super bright which made it much easier and Wayan helped us when needed. The pace was fast but he said we could stop and anytime which we did take him up on for a few quick breathers! When we got to the top Wayan found us seats and made us breakfast which was really nice. We even had hot drinks. He had great knowledge of the area and pointed out key sights. We aren't great at asking for photos but Wayan offered and wow!! The photos are stunning!!! The hike down is slippery so good shoes really help but Wayan was always there to help when needed which I'm really grateful for. It was such a beautiful day and Wayan helped make us feel safe and comfortable. We passed a few other groups and their guides didn't seem as helpful/attentive or as skilled as Wayan. We were really lucky to have him - he was supportive, friendly and had a nice sense of humour - we had an amazing time. (Plus he loved English football so my partner was fully onboard!!) Thanks so much!!

Best experience EVER!

I can honestly say this is one of the best things I’ve ever done! The hike up isn’t easier but every step was worth it for the glorious sunrise experience. Wayan, our guide, was super helpful and a pleasure to spend the morning with. My advice….make this adventure an essential part of your visit to Bali.

Memorable Experience at Volcano

it was a super memorable experience! it got quite chilly the higher you climbed so make sure you have your jacket with you! our guide was also very patient and encouraging and constantly helped us with our stuff as well! they also offer you hot beverages at the top and you can have your breakfast with a spectacular view!

Warm volcanic steam puffs!

Amazing adventure - Ayu our guide was the best, she had wonderful energy and our driver Komang picked us up perfectly on time. The views were wonderful, watching the sun come and seeing all the volcanic steam puffs were a highlight. It’s a challenging climb and descent but they have motorbikes if you get tired, thankfully 🤣😊

Mount Batur Trekking from Ubud

This was a really nice thing to do in Ubud. The visibility wasn’t great at the top but our guide was fantastic, and so was our driver Komang who collected us from our hotel at 2:30am, waited for us to do the hike and then drove us back. It was really great service. Thank you Komang!

Stunning sunrise views

Nyoman was an amazing guide for our sunrise hike to the top of Mt. Batur. She made us a delicious breakfast at the summit and ensured we were comfortable and happy from start to finish. This is a must! ✨👍
