Great tour with Vimal

Great tour with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, Vimal, we felt well taken care of and benefitted from all the knowledge he shared with us. Personal highlights included the view at Alexandra Falls, the statues at the Ganga Talao and feeding Tortoises at La Vanille. Would recommend if you're in Mauritius and want to try and see the island in a short space of time.

Unforgettable South Tour Experience

I had an amazing experience on this private tour with Yash as our guide! The Crocodile Park was fascinating, and the Seven Coloured Earths were absolutely breathtaking. Yash was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day enjoyable.

The BEST Grand Bassin Experience, plus beautiful viewpoints and wonderful creatures!

Our tour guide Vimal was incredibly professional, kind and respectful but also profoundly insightful and knowledgeable! He took us to many beautiful viewpoints and told us interesting facts about the areas visited. He even lent us his umbrella during a rain shower! You will see many tours mention Grand Bassin, but truly Vimal made this extra special by giving context, "Hindu" perspectives and subverting western misconceptions in an interesting and accessible manner. We truly came away feeling both humbled and empowered by some of the ideas that can apply to anyone! Valley de Colours/23 Coloured Earth was much more well equipped than we expected and many locals seem to prefer it over its rival Chamerel. There were more waterfalls, animals, cafés as well as the oldest giant tortoise on the island. Lunch was delicious at a local restaurant near the impressive Gris Gris coastline. Lovely fresh flavours beautifully cooked. La Vanille is the perfect finish to the tour, most impressive is the Giant Tortoise breeding and rewilding program which has to be experienced to be believed. Hundreds of the huge yet gentle creatures which can be interacted with is an opportunity that is not to be missed!

Agi was the best guide and made our day so special!

Amazing day! Our tour guid Agi was incredibly knowledgeable, telling us all about the history of Mauritius, the wildlife, mountains, religious and cultural aspects of Mauritius and so much more. He was a fantastic guide and was great with my 3YO playing music she liked in the car and making her laugh. He was on time, made sure we had ample time to explore at each stop and made recommendations along the way as well as including little surprises! Lunch included in a lovely restaurant on the beach. The tour itself is incredible, there’s so much to see and it is such a beautiful island. Do no not hesitate- book now and ask for Agi!

Daren was amazing we were so happy with our private day tour to the beautiful south of Mauritius. He answered all of our many questions! He waited for us whilst we went to the two animal parks and took many pix dies of us. Grest experience

Although it was a rainy day on and off, I must say that it was never the less an amazing day! Our guide Vimal was very well informed on all aspects of his native Island and passed all that information to us throughout the day. We were never left wondering what to do next. Lunch was amazing in a small restaurant next to a breath taking view point of the ocean. Definately recommend this tour. What we were not able to see due to the bad weather we made up for it by spending a little more time in other places or driving through secondary roads to admire more of the vegetation. Thanks Vimal for being so professional,friendly, and open to your customers needs.

Covers so much!

We had a great time. The tour went to the best spots. Our driver and car were great. We did have a small issue with park entrance but the tour company and viator corrected it. The views were amazing. Would have liked more time in the 23 colors park. So much to do besides what the tour included. They have a huge zip line and amazing suspension bridge. The monkeys at the overlook were so fun and so close. Would definitely recommend and do tour again. Easy from cruise ship.

An amazing day out!

Our driver arrived on time and was very friendly and welcoming. During the travel he was very knowledgeable and full of information about the local area. The statues and temple were amazing to see up close. We also were able to see some fantastic views and water falls before we arrived at the Nature Park. Once we arrived we were spoiled for choice on activities. I’m we did the quad biking and the bridge walk, both were so much fun! We stopped for lunch and had grilled fish before heading to La Vanille Nature Park which was my favourite part of the day! Lots of animals and HUGE tortoises!!! The day was fantastic and I really recommend this tour!

Great trip!!

This was an amazing day trip, so much to see it’s hard to choose between all the activities at La Vallee Des Couleurs Nature Park! The Temples and statues were nice to see on the way too! Our driver was punctual, professional and very friendly. Full of information and very helpful. We just sat back and enjoyed the day!

23 coloured earth and more on top

Our driver Agi arrived in time and with refreshments inside the very clean vehicle. We set off on the tour which we expected to see waterfalls, 23 coloured earth, crocodiles and giant tortoises. What we got was all that and so much more including statues of religious deities, the southern coast and the mountainous region. Agi was very knowledgeable and a great guide, full of info and guided us well. The lunch was good and a great location and we were back at the expected time. Highly recommend this tour and if you want to book and can request a driver request Agi. 10/10

Another kind of trip

Instead of rain and fog it was an interesting trip with a lot of very good impressions. Also the kind of crocodiles and the amount of turtles. Our driver Yash did a great job.

Fun activity

Full day tripped filled with fun activities for the whole family. The kids loved the waterfalls, turtois and the crocodile park. Excellent driver!

Great southern experience

Superb mix of guided and self guided tour. You see all of the highlights (Giant Turtles, Crocodiles and Color Valley) around. Driver always very helpful and on time.

Poor needs rethink

Spent too much time in car. Lunch was awful ended up unwell. The schedule needs to reduce travel time and better lunch facilities provided

Great day trip from start to finish. Would highly recommend. Food was great. Driver was friendly and very knowledgeable.

The guide ruined it for us.

The best part of the day was the experience at the seven colored earth the extras that were on offer made up for the disaster of the rest of the day, the staff were exceptional the activities were really good, highly recommend going there for the day. The worst part was the guide he hardly spoke and when he did it was very basic information nothing personal at all his driving was horrendous we both felt sick within a very short space of time he was extremely aggressive in his driving weaving in and out of lanes tailgating everyone in front of us, I lost count of how many times he broke the speed limit 138km per hr in a 110 limit 92km per hr in a 60 limit and 86 in a 60 we couldn't wait to get home the only guide we never tipped.

Great sights and guide

We had a wonderful tour of the sudden part Island. Agi our guide was excellent we saw the waterfalls, seven color earth, crocodiles, and other sights.

Southern Mauritius

Excellent trip, with a very informative driver which made a great introduction to the south of Mauritius. The visit to the zoo was highlight of the trip.

Had an amazing day on this tour. Driver very friendly and full of information. The waterfall was beautiful also coloured sands very interesting but we all fell in love with the tortoises they were amazing. Also it gave a sightseeing tour of that part of the island. Lisa M

Incredible trip, 100% would recommend

Daren was an amazing guide and driver. He's very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. The trip itself was fantastic, the views were phenomenal, lots packed in one day but it never felt like it was too long or never ending. The car was clean and very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was to die for. Overall a really excellent tour and guide, Daren went above and beyond and even took me to another temple since I wanted to see another one, and stopped for me to get out of the car and see the monkeys. I'm very happy with the experience and I would definitely recommend doing this tour

Southwest tour

We did this tour with 3 children all under 9 and it was a very long day, I wouldn’t recommend for families with younger children as you spend a lot of time driving between the various sights. Our driver even said it was a lot to pack in within the allocated 8 hours. We didn’t manage to see everything on the itinerary unfortunately. However the crocodile park was fantastic and we all loved feeding the giant tortoises and it was probably the highlight of the day. There was no water on arrival as per the description so it was lucky we took a lot of water of our own. If I’m perfectly honest I would not pay the price advertised again for this tour.

Great day out seeing Southern Maurititus

A great day out seeing all the major sites of southern Mauritius. Our driver was very thorough, and adjusted our itinerary based on some traffic and road closures. We still saw everything and had plenty of time. Very nice lunch included, and we loved the visit to the crocodile park.

Amazing experience - highly recommend!

We had a great time on this tour and would highly recommend. We booked other tours with Viator, but nothing compared to our experience on this tour. Our driver Yash was very friendly, informative and helpful. The day was very smooth as everything was included as per the description. We loved the waterfalls and the view points. Lunch was great and Gris grow beach was beautiful. This was our favourite tour of our holiday!

Our guide, Manu, was prompt, respectful, informative, friendly, helpful and a really superb driver...everything we could have wished for. Really good excursion

We had a perfect day with our taxidriver/tourguide Agi, he showed us all around mauritius. The best thing of the day was to feed the giant turtles in the crocodilepark. Everything was beautiful

Great memories

It was a great experience with nice sights. We especially loved the La Vanille National Park where we could walk around the tortoises. I definitely recommend the tour.

5 Star Southern Takes Tour, a must do experience!

5 Star of South of Mauritius. We had a fantastic tour around the south of the island, thanks to our excellent guide Manu, who answered all our questions and showed us the best of the sites, and not to mention took some great photos for us. Manu was very friendly and chatty and knowledgeable of the sites and history, showed us local hotspots and delicacy, which was a bonus. The island is breathtakingly beautiful, very picturesque, and full of history, and stunning colours and sites. Thank you for the memorable trip, highly recommend the service and especially ask for Manu, you will feel welcomed to Mauritius and shown a great time.

Fantastic Trip Got to see all the South west had to Offer, and a great helpful Guide

Great trip from start to finish, getting to feed the Giant Tortoises at La Vanille was amazing, seeing the Waterfalls at Chamarel and the seven coloured earth and Alexandra falls was superb. Also the viewpoints we stopped at gave breathtaking views and at the 3 Gorges Viewpoint we even had Monkeys come up to us. Our driver Manu was so knowledgeable and would pull over anytime we wanted to take a a photo of the stunning scenery along the way, his knowledge of the island was second to none. I would highly recommend this trip.

Extensive, beautiful tour!

We did a south trip today. Our Guide Sahil gave us a great day! He took us to a lot of different places. Even places that were not on the tour and besides, he also knew a lot of interesting things about Mauritius. The lunch we enjoyed very much. We had a great day thanks to our amazing Guide!

Very good day. Be careful the crocodile park poses many problems for wheelchair travelers (parts not accessible, dangerous slopes...) Having visited the land in 23 colors (there were only 7 at the time) about twenty years ago I was very disappointed to find an Attraction Park. Surprise on the cake they will add 6 attractions Otherwise the Guide was very nice, punctual and drove carefully. We were hoping for a little more history.

Super journée

Chouette expérience, nous avons pu découvrir une multitude d'endroit en seulement une journée, le circuit a été globalement respecté (nous n'avons pas pu faire trou aux cerfs mais cela a été remplacé par bassin blanc). Le chauffeur était ponctuel le matin et nous a laissé le temps que nous souhaitions sur chaque point d'arrêt, ce qui était très appréciable (grosse journée de 8h30 a 18h40 retour a l'hôtel).

Perfect trip with Agi

We had a great day. We were picked up on time at the hotel by our guide Agi and then drove to the first stop, the Black River Gorges National Park, where we saw two beautiful statues of Shiva and Durga. Here you can have ointments applied, very nice. Then we went on to the highest point to see the waterfalls. Really great. After this tour we then drove to the La Vallée Des Couleurs Nature Park where you can do various tours with the quad, buggy (130€) per hour in a three-seater. But it is also possible to walk and even use a cable winch from station to station. We chose the buggy, it took 1 hour and was really fun. After that we went for a delicious lunch at the southernmost point of Mauritius, to Soulliac, where the restaurant was directly opposite the cliffs. Great authentic food. Finally in the crocodile park and everyone was super happy. Our guide Agi was very well prepared and had useful and interesting information about the island and the sights. The boy is very well informed and speaks very good English. It was a pleasure. See you soon 👋

It was a wonderful day. Our guide Agi was at our hotel on time. We saw a lot and as we were briefly surprised by the rain, Agi even had umbrellas for us. He was happy to answer all of our questions and told us a lot about the island. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

It's not what it looks like

Poorly maintained vehicle. Friendly guide, providing little information. It almost boiled down to a taxi driver who gave a little information at one of the locations. He stated that the itinerary would not be completed by cutting a road and it was ultimately possible to bypass the cut road without difficulty. And the place that would remain unvisited was just one of the main points for which we had chosen this tour - a natural park to see giant turtles. I even wonder if the entrance fee, which is included in the tour, would be refunded if we hadn't taken it. I have my doubts. And if we finally visited La Vanile natural park, it was at my insistence. Strange to say the least.

The tour was great!

We were picked up on time at the hotel reception and greeted warmly by the tour guide Agi. The car was air-conditioned and we were provided with a bottle of water. Overall, it was a great trip where Agi showed us the most beautiful sights of Mauritius. Very nice and friendly:)

Wonderful tour with top service! Our driver picked us up at the hotel on the dot. The vehicle was well maintained and had air conditioning. During the trip, our super friendly guide Yash told us lots of interesting things about Mauritius. Every stop on the tour was absolutely worth seeing! It was great to see so much at once. We took a break at a restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious! It was also nice that all entrance fees to the sights and lunch were included in the price. We can highly recommend the tour and especially the guide! You are in good hands with this tour provider! :)

Relaxed admiration

The private tour was very comfortable in a well-tempered car with a water for each of us. The driver Yash drove safely and knew the area very well. He always waited so that we could admire the nature in peace.
