3 days tour offering slices of Mauritius

It's a 3 day tour covering all major places in Mauritius. Essentially a tick mark across all 3 regions in Mauritius. Your driver /guide is the most critical part, if you get a good one well it's great, we had Manoj for all days and he was wonderful. You will get to see most places , its upto you to decide how much time to spend at each place and basis that the remaining places will be covered or left out . Should you do it? Absolutely yes if you want to get a flavour of all 3 regions. Pro tips 1. Don't keep the trip on consecutive days ,it will tire you. 2. The itinerary is a suggestive one, doesn't mean that you will end up covering all, suggest reading up and making a list of not to be missed places, else something will get sacrificed . 3. Buy basic packages in Rhumeries, ie , which has visit and local Rum tasting, don't buy the all inclusive full range rum tasting one as you will end up spending more, eg, in all places you can taste the premium range Rums single shots between 100-200 MUR 4. Try to get your currency changed in the market near the waterfront, you'll get the best rates ( Thanks again Manoj) . Hotel rates are pathetic. 5. Carry MUR you will need it as it's the only preferred tender.

3 day private tour

Our guide Satya Reddy was lovely, we had a great 3 days with him. He took us to some lovely restaurants for lunch and we saw so much. Thank you for helping to make our trip special

San the king is the best!

San was fantastic. We had a great time with him. On time every time and was very knowledgable about Mauritius. We also got to know a lot about each other through the time we spent with him. He was very thoughtful when we were travelling with him by helping show us the way to the different viewpoints. San even took his to a local restaurant which had the best seafood. I will definitely want San to be our driver again for future trips. Thanks again San, Matt and Alex.

Value for money and wide range of visits

This is an excellent package that gives a wide range of experiences in the varied areas of the island. All 3 tour days were flexible and we gained great insight from the personal stories and knowledge of the drivers/guides. Because it is a single group/car arrangement it was totally flexible to our timetable and the drivers even suggested other visits and viewing opportunities that non-locals would not find. We would also highly recommend this for value for money and the company were flexible with which days we wanted to use for the trips

The whole experience was fantastic. Easy to book and arrange, the drivers turned up on time and were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The cars were very clean and well kept and the locations were fantastic. Could not have asked for more. Would recommend.

If you have a good guide this trip will be great

In general it was great experience but just because of our guide - his name was San and he was with us for the last 2 days of trips. First day we had older driver who told us almost nothing, just dropped us in the parking and wait. But San was superior. He was very friendly and kind, told us about everything and made our trip unforgettable. We were so thankful. So this tour is good only if you have a good driver and guide. Ask for San :)

Great value!

Brilliant way to see the biggest attractions across three days and a really good price compared to the individual day tours. The team were flexible which days we booked and our drivers were very polite and informative. Well organised, they messaged me the night before to confirm pick up time etc. Asleem accompanied us on two of the days (I forgot the name of the other driver - sorry!) but they were both great. The tour is totally at your own pace. You really could just do this tour and feel like you had seen a decent amount of the country! Highly recommended.

Great work Mr Boodhoo

Excellent and recommended for all. Mr Boodhoo was great and very caring, he is very knowledgeable and ensures everything goes well, his recommendations are worth it. We owe this trip and lots of fun to him. Tickets for all activities are not included. A suggestion to be careful with swimming with dolphins and snorkeling option as that was something that was a bit dissatisfying for us. So i would say check and double check the equipments, support during the activity for kids etc Otherwise we highly recommend this!! HUGE THANK YOU TO MR. BOODHOO!!

Good but could be better

We had an excellent tour guide/ driver Mr Boodhoo, very professional, caring and welcoming. Absolutely sweet gesture, to present bday touch with flowers and a token. First 2 days were amazing but third day with dolphins and snorkeling were a bit unexpected. There was lack of information and the boat guys were not well equipped and not very helpful- poor experience for my son. Also it would be better to have someone from Viator to give feedback to or get help from easily All in all minus day 3- all was worth it. With some improvements, i would definitely recommend this package and Viator to all.

3 Day family tour

A lot to pack in 3 days, but definitely worth it. Our driver Kessavan, was really flexible. informative and taught us some fascinating aspects of Hinduism a part of out tour to the temples. He was aware of festival's and any incidents that could impact out itinerary which was great as things were not so rushed as they could have been. He worked long days and was always on time. He also taught us a lot and ensured we could stop when and where we wished and helped prioritise our activities. Driving I'm Mauritius can be a bit hairy and Kessavan took all that stress away and was a good and professional driver. A lot to see and do and it will be weather dependent. The microclimates change regularly and therefore you will need to be flexible and how each day goes. The dolphin tour was a very early start, but well worth it. A great three days.

Try this tour

I was vey pleased with the many sight. The island is lovely, the people are pleasant and well educated, and my driver was careful on the road (big point!), on time, had a clean car without air fresheners (I'm allergic to all of them). He was knowledgeable but not a chatterbox. He was patient and helpful, making recommendations, guiding me to the right places to obtain tickets , etc. All in all a very worth it three days.

Top tour!

We had a great 3 day tour. Our driver Asshif was wonderful! He drove in a safe manner. Had a good understanding of our pace and was really friendly! We liked the fact we could book the day’s accordingly to our wishes. Thanks!

Lovely experience

Initially I was slightly worried especially after seeing Kel Val’s review. But I took the risk and have come to the conclusion that you should take such peoples reviews with a grain of salt. Especially when they attack a person for ‘having gap teeth’. Pros: -Driver for the first two days was like chatting to a guidebook. Very informative and engaging. Told us so much about the Mauritian culture that we otherwise wouldn’t have known. -Our driver for our third day was very kind and understanding, going overboard for us which we would like to thank him for. -Best way to see many of the country’s main attractions in a short amount of time. Really good value for price. -There was no rush. We could see things at our own pace and had the luxury of having the trip to ourselves. - Great mix of paid and unpaid attractions to visit. My only suggestions in improving would be to disassociate yourselves with the restaurants recommended for lunch mainly the one after the Botanic Garden and in Chamarel. They were very off putting establishments with extortionate prices and mediocre food. The one in Gris Gris was lovely. Also, would be great to encourage all the drivers to be informative on the drive. We want to have a good time but also learn a lot about your beautiful country :)

Excellent trip and service

My guides for the first and last day of the trip was Asleep. He is very friendly and was informational about all parts of the island. He had a great sense of humour and took us to some really amazing places, whilst also making any extra little stops we asked for. Asleem himself made the days more special just by providing such a great and polite service and making us feel so welcome and at home. He also had some great advice on where to buy gifts for our family and certainly helped save us some spending money! The second day of the trip we had gavi fill in on behalf of asleem, who was off because it was his birthday. Gavi was equally as friendly and also very polite and a great guide too. Asleem even phoned to say hello and make sure we were having fun. I cannot praise these guys enough! The trip itself is beautiful and the island is just overwhelming with how green and luscious it is, I'm so glad we chose to do this and explore so much of this paradise while we are here. I would strongly recommend doing this trip, or at least using this company for one of the trips that suit you more. Value for money and a really great time!

Excellent experience

Our trip to Mauritius was incredible in huge part to our driver Kessaven. First I’ll discuss the tour. The tour itself was jammed packed with all the must see and do on the island. It’s a fantastic deal for 3 full days. But the tour wouldn’t have been half as great without our driver and guide Kessaven. The weather was all over the place and there was a holiday and a Sunday added in to the mix. All this to say we had to change things up to ensure we were able to see everything. Kessaven was able to ensure this happened. He was so knowledgeable about the island and shared so much information. After the tour we asked Kessaven to take us to other places as we trusted him to get us where we needed to be and on time. If you have the time take the tour, if you can request a guide, make it Kessaven.

Great 3 Days with Kessaven !

We booked this 3 day Private Tour with Bonjour Mauritius last week. It was a great decision; we covered the North, North West, South and South West of the island in the allocated 3 days and enjoyed the wonderful delights Mauritius has to offer. The biggest value was added by our wonderful driver Kessaven. All through the 3 days, he was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and considerate. His presence on our tour made a world of difference. He was flexible and made it his mission to make our sightseeing experience memorable ! I would highly and definitely recommend this 3 day tour with Bonjour Mauritius, especially with Kessaven as your driver! Do ask for him.

Good value for money

Just returned from our tours and curising holidays from Mauritius. The 3 days North, South and Southwest Tours is good value for money! The driver / tour guide (Aman )was excellent, very knowledge of our tour, on time, polite and gentle! Thank you to Tina very helpful, prompt replies to my questions !

Excellent Service

Well planned tours, our driver was on time. He shared local knowledge of all places we visited. Excellent communication from tour operator with regards to cyclone threat as we had to postpone touring. We where offered a refund if weather didn't improve and we tours couldn't be completed. Thankfully we got to do all 3 days of tours. Highlight of the trip was seeing and swimming with the dolphins in their natural habitat.

Seemed like a good idea, reasonably priced but poor execution by the local tour operator Bonjour Mauritius

We had booked a threeday trip pack offered by Bonjour Mauritius. Our first planned trip included the swimming with dolphins and the Southwest tour. We were greeted by a young man in the morning at the hotel we were staying at. He introduced himself as Esny and his first words were „Don’t worry be happy”. We were enthusiastic about him at first because he seemed like a nice young lad who was just entering the guide career (he used to be a mechanic as we found out later) and we were hoping he would be more diligent and professional in fulfilling his responsibilities as a guide. And so our “swimming” with dolphins trip began. As you can tell by the quotation marks, it is my honest opinion that this activity is not worth the time and money. There were too many people loaded on the boat and the crew did not have enough diving masks and snorkels for everyone on board so we had to take turns using them when diving. We were in the second group of people to dive and unfortunately we only caught sight of the dolphins’ fins. So, in reality this activity should be better named “dolphin watching” and the swimming is more of a false advertising and misleading to people. Further to add to the above disappointment, the docking place of the boat did not have a suitable area for changing into swimming gear and we had to use restrooms that were I can only describe as gross. Given the above, our second part of the trip – the Southwest Tour- was up to a bad start as we could not even change back to regular clothes and look presentable. All of a sudden, our driver/guide Esny started behaving in a very peculiar way- he was making weird noises and banging his head with his hands. We were bewildered and were starting to get a little scared. He explained that he was not feeling well- he had a severe headache and running a fever. While we felt bad for him, we were dumbfounded at the fact that first, the tour operator will send someone in this condition to work, and second, risk his clients’ health and safety in the hands of someone that feels so bad that has to bang his head with his hands. After all, we flew half way across the world to be there, spent a significant amount of money and the last thing we wanted was to get sick or be exposed to a health risk in such way (needless to say, I went through half of my first aid/emergency travel kit upon return to the hotel). We went to all the spots that were listed in the tour itinerary but Esny did not bother to enlighten us about any of them- we did not get any information whatsoever. Here is an example- we made a stop, he said “This is Black River Gorges”, I will wait for you in the parking area”- no explanation or at least some pointers as to what we should be checking out. When we got back to the hotel, we had to look up everything we saw during the day and watch videos on Youtube to get an idea and actually understand what we saw on that trip. Upon our return to the hotel and after me swallowing a near lethal dose of aspirin in hopes of not getting sick, I reached out to Kessaven- the tour operator manager and asked him to change our driver for the next day tour – 15 Dec 2019, which was a Sunday. On the next day we were greeted by Nadir. He informed us that the trip involved a tour of the North side of the island but it became clear that some of the places of interest in the capital Port Louis, namely the Citadel and the Blue Penny Museum were closed on Sunday. Further, we were even more disappointed when upon arrival in the city late in the afternoon, we found out that the vibrant, historical market, one of Port Louis’ signature spots, was also closed, which apparently came as a surprise to our guide even though it does have clearly listed work hours, which we checked in a pocket guide later and on Sundays it’s only open till noon. It’s beyond me how he did not know that- it seems like he just chose to lighten up our program(and his) by skipping most of the places of interest. I wish someone at Bonjour Mauritius showed some thought for the client and rearranged our trips so we could have gone to the capital on Saturday or Monday when most of the places worth seeing would have been open- but … too much to ask, I guess. We had the tours of Chateau de Labourdonnais and the Botanical Garden let for this day’s trip. Both places are well worth seeing, especially the Botanical Garden. You should definitely get a guide to get the most of those places. We were offered a guided tour in the gardens by chance and we were delighted by that guide and all the detailed information and facts he provided us with. I do think that our driver Nadir could have and should have advised us beforehand to get such a guided tour at those place. On our last day trip we had yet a new driver/guide. Unfortunately, we did not catch his name as he had a very thick Hindi accent and his front teeth were missing so we literally did not understand a word he was saying. I hate to be judgmental about people’s appearance but after all we expected at least some guidance from our driver and on this day we were once again offered no information on whatever we visited and we did not bother asking as there was no hope of understanding what this man was saying. My overall recommendation to all fellow tourists that have set sight on this offer by Bonjour tours is to do their homework ahead of the tours, meaning to look up all the places you will be visiting and not expect or rely on the guide as we did. My other recommendation goes to the travel firms/agencies that partner with Bonjour Mauritius and offer their tours through their sites, namely Viator and Trip Advisor, for the sake of the tourists, please be more demanding and rigorous with the local tour operators, as in the end it is your brand and image that suffers in offering such inferior and poorly executed service.

3 day excursion, driver was brilliant & helpful. Price was fair would recommend to anyone looking to visit the beautiful island.

Excellent value for money

I would highly recommend this tour, I was contacted by the local agent to arrange which days we wanted to book the tours on and in which order. Our driver was very knowledgeable, friendly and was always waiting for us as the agreed points. We requested the same driver for all 3 days. The entrance fees are not included in this tour but prices were very reasonable. You arrange with your driver how much time you want to spend at each attraction. I would research the places in advance then you know what to expect. We did not do the dolphin swim, but that is a very early start.

3 jours d'excursions

De très bonnes excursions pour certaines. Mais sur certains endroits le temps annoncé ne correspond pas c'est très courts 5 minutes au lieu de 1h30 pour le trou au cerf. Sinon l'excursion avec les dauphins est top.

Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable este tour de 3 dias, pero sobre todo la ha hecho posible nuestro conductor San, que sin saber español y nostros apenas ni inglés y francés, nos pudimos comunicar con el esfuerzo de todos y sobre todo de San, q nos enseñó y nos hizo comprender todas las traduciones y vida de este paraiso llamado Mauricio.

Nous avons eu 3...

Nous avons eu 3 chauffeurs différents pour les 3 jours. Les deux premiers chauffeurs ( sud et sud-ouest) étaient supers : ils nous partageaient l’histoire de l’île, étaient tres gentils, bienveillants, etc. Par contre, pour la visite du nord, le chauffeur ne parlait pas, a changé le programme sans nous consulter, nous emmènerait à des autres endroits qui lui rapportaient certainement, … Il a également écourté la journée. Heureusement que nous ne l’avons eu qu’une journée car cela nous aurait gâché nos visites.

Belle découverte

Les 3 jours un autre chauffeur de taxi m'a pris en charge à mon hôtel. Les 3 on été formidable Explication, et arrêt pour me faire découvrir en plus des coins superbe. Le 1 er jour avec les dauphins. Seul choses décevante. Le pilote pour voir les dauphins était nul. Très déçu. Par contre l'après midi et les 2 jours suivant génial. Je recommande vraiment.

Excellente idée de visites sur l’ile

1er voyage sue l’ile Maurice. Souplesse dans les dates, que nous avons pu modifier sur place. Des visites intéressantes, notre chauffeur Aman nous a accompagné ces 3 jours. Toujours à l’heure, de bonne humeur, complaisant, et une grande connaissance de l’ile et de son histoire, il a été un plus dans ce périple sur toute l’ile.

Pour voir les principaux points clés de l'île Maurice

Pour ceux qui veulent découvrir les points clés de l'île Maurice ! Ce pack de 3 jours est très complet. Le chauffeur vient vous chercher à votre hôtel. Vous avez donc un taxi privé à chaque fois, très pratique pour être tranquille et faire les visites à votre rythme. Par contre ce n'est qu'un chauffeur et non un guide. La baignade avec les dauphins est super, vous êtes quasi sûr d'en voir mais pour nager ils sont très rapides. La cascade de Chamarel est très belle il y a 2 points de vue pour l'observer (pas besoin de beaucoup marcher). La ville de Port Louis n'est pas très belle mais il y a des boutiques pour les souvenirs et le marché typique. Le chateau de la bourdonnais est très joli et vous pourrez acheter du rhum par contre pas de visite possible de la distillerie. La visite du bois chéri est très intéressante. Prevoir un petit budget supp pour l'entrée de certaines visites ! Les dejeuners ne sont pas compris mais le chauffeur vous conseille des bons petits restaurants (il faut compter environ 1000 roupies par personne pour un apéro et le menu entree plat dessert). Il y a aussi quelques arrêts de beaux paysages comme gris gris et la roche qui pleure c'est magnifique. Ce qu'on a préféré c'est le parc Vanille (grand parc animalier et de flore) caresser les tortues géantes, voir des naissances de crocodiles etc... en comparant avec les excursions de l'hôtel et les taxis privés proposés à l'hôtel je pense que ce pack est un assez bon rapport qualité prix !

Tour isola

I driver che mi hanno accompagnata per 3 giorni sono stati fantastici e i posti visitati sono stati molto belli. L'unica cosa che mi permetto di dire sul tour è che andrebbe rivisitato nel senso che alla fine sono sempre rientrata in hotel ben in anticipo sull'orario previsto. Secondo me i tempi sono un pò larghi, forse andrebbe aggiunta qualche visita. Ad ogni modo tutto ok. Questo tour mi ha permesso di scoprire l'isola nella sua interezza.

Visite complète, agréable et instructive

Superbe visite qui nous a permis de découvrir toute l’île à notre rythme. Un grand merci à notre guide Kessaven qui a été intarissable dans ses infos et conseils et d’une grande magnanimité. Rien à redire côté logistique : ponctualité, voiture confortable et ultra propre, conduite professionnelle... Nous recommandons.

Leuke tour in het noorden van Mauritius. Veel gezien en onze taxichauffeur Nadil was top! Hij gaf ons veel tips en weet ook waar je heerlijk kunt lunchen.
