Sandra was warm & wonderful! Great tour w/teens and tweens. We also stayed and shopped in Harajuku and visited the park across the street too.

This food tour was so fun and cute! Sandra was our guide and she was fantastic. She knew so much about the neighborhood and the food and gave us really detailed tips and information. We highly recommend this tour as well as all Arigato Travel tours!

Best afternoon in Tokyo!!

Norma was amazing!! Not only did she explain all the foods thoroughly and exquisitely, she also gave us so many tips about Tokyo. She was so warm and informative. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

A must-do in Japan

Michie was an amazing guide and took us to so many delicious stops that we would’ve never found ourselves in Harajuku. She also was a wealth of knowledge in the history of Harajuku, which was an added bonus. Everyone in our group remarked that this tour was their favorite part of our trip to Japan so far. Thank you, Michie!

While the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the food stops on this tour were uneven. The sweet potato cafe, the hand held sushi and cotton candy stops were great! The rest weren't worth it. This food tour was very expensive for what you get.

Was all the food kawaii - no. Was it delicious - yes 👍🏻

Our tour guide Wes was awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. He also gave us recommendations for our trip to Kyoto. It was just me and my daughter (14) on the tour so we had some time to explore different places, like a cool sticker shop and a few other stores. We started at a dessert spot and ended at a dessert spot. In between we had savory items. Was all the food kawaii - no. Was it delicious - yes 👍🏻

We had a great time on our kawaii food tour of Harajuku! Our 8-year-old daughter loves all things kawaii and she enjoyed every stop and became best friends immediately with our wonderful guide, Michie. Michie went above and beyond on our tour, ensuring we saw (and tasted) everything.

Really fun Kawaii food tour

Nami was an excellent guide. We are a family of four with a tween and a teen. We all had a great time tasting foods and learning about Harajuku and visiting Kawaii shops. The lunch was fun and tasty. We would definitely recommend this tour and Nami as a guide.

Worst food tour ever! Neither cute nor Kawaii!!

We were really disappointed with this food tour! It was neither “cute” nor “kawaii”. My husband and I could have done a better job of seeking out kawaii food in Harajuku than this awful tour we were on. First stop was a matcha tiramisu shop (dime a dozen in Tokyo) onto a sushi roll sandwich shop with every item containing spam (that’s not cute nor appetizing), then a hard candy shop (nothing special at all as there are quite a few in the area) then lunch at a do it yourself Okonomiyaki grill (it was on my food list of things I wanted to do, so that was ok), finished by a piece of black mochi with a strawberry in the middle. Meanwhile I asked for the manga dessert and the guide told me that it was not included on the tour. After our group ate the bite sized mochi the guide took us to a pharmacy where we can buy 4 different kinds of Kit-Kat, however, before the tour, we found this place on our own and purchased Kit-Kats prior. I think all 8 Americans on the tour were so disgruntled by the end, the guide quickly scurried off into the crowds of people on Takeshita Street! Be ware the photos advertised for this tour are misleading!! Harajuku is known for its Japanese crepes and in the advertised photo there was a group eating the crepes, we did not get a chance to try them and there is also a photo of a woman eating a head sized rainbow cotton candy, that was not on the tour either. For the price of this tour for two people we were served a Michelin star omakase from one of tue top 50 chefs in the world the night before. Save your money and enjoy Takeshita street on your own. We thoroughly do not recommend this tour nor is it necessary in Harajuku!

We went on a Harajuku food tour with Nami and it was amazing we had a truly lovely time with a lovely guide. Would highly recommend!

Spend a cute crazy day in Harajuku!

My 12year old granddaughter and I toured Harajuku with our fantastic guide Yappy. This was advertised as a tour of the crazy, cute district of Harajuku. We ate cute delectable foods, visited the cutest shops ever, watched tiny Hello Kitty candies being made and ate a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Every minute was filled with finding some exciting spot to go into. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see how much fun Japan can be!

Fun tour of spots we never would have found on our own

Fantastic intro to Harajuku and Omotesando with lots of tasty treats along the way. This was the second Arigato tour we did on our Japan holiday and we would highly recommend them. The giant rainbow candy floss in Harajuku was a definite highlight for our 10 year old and made for wonderful photos!

Fun and Tasty Food Tour with Excellent Guide

We had the best tour guide, Norma, to show us all the fun food we have missed since we moved here 2 years ago. We started with a candy store making beautiful lollipops and hard candy. Next, we visited a sesame ice cream shop. We had the sampler and each picked our favorite. After that we went through the backstreets to a cute art exhibition hall that has an amazing make your own okonomiyaki and yakisoba grill right in the middle of your table. Our 11 year old son and 18 yo niece loved it! Although full, we went to the animal ice cream store for the kids and then a creperie for the adults. Delicious! The final stop was Totti for the instagram worthy cotton candy. A fun and delicious day! Thanks so much to Norma.

Great tour

Great tour 🤪 guide was great , the small group and friendly staff , made tour fun and easy, staff weRe kind and went out of way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Norma our guide was amazing. Highly recommend, looked after vegetarian very well.

Kawaii Food Tour for a Kawaii Honeymoon Situation.

Michie & Norma. These ladies were AMAZING tour guides on our trek to the most “kawaii” situation you will ever be put in! Even before meeting up with them, ARIGATO TOUR co reached out to me and made sure my nut allergy was accommodated. I felt taken care of from the start. Me and my husband got to enjoy pastel colored ice cream, get a run down of the history behind some of the architecture, and got the opportunity to meet some local artists. For lunch, we had a “family style” meal consisting of yakisoba and okonomiyaki where we learned basic etiquette and phrases around consuming a meal. We ended our tour being taken to a cute picture booth space and my husbands face never looked more glamourous lol! I highly recommend this food tour. We had a experience that will forever be a highlight on our honeymoon trip!

Amazing Family Friendly Tour of Harajuku!

The food and our guide (Ryan) was amazing and really enriched our visit to Tokyo by showing us delicious sweets and ice cream our 2 young boys were crazy about. I loved how this was a great pace for families and there was no rush to get anywhere, as all the eateries were within a 5-minute walk from one another. We got to experience and taste Harajuku's unique sweets and treats and also got shown a delicious place where you could cook your own Okonomiyaki. Soooooo good! Ryan was so knowledgeable and passionate about both food and the city. We learnt so much from him and got a ton of food recommendations. Thanks so much, Ryan!

Take this tour if you want to eat like a local!

We took the walking tour on a Monday in July. What a wonderful experience we had with our guides - Satoshi and Yuko. We had a group of 9 with 4 adults and kids ranging from 7-12. So it was sort of a private tour in a sense. Overall the walking distance was just right - of course, stops with food treats were perfectly scheduled. We never felt too tired with the walk. We had a good look of the local treats - YUMMY sesame ice cream, yes rich black and white sesame....i never knew you could make ice cream out of this - oh I can't say enough about it. You have to try it. There was also a lunch with Okonomiyaki, crepes and nice walk down Harajuku. Our guides were super helpful in explaining to us the lifestyle of the Japanese culture and we definitely felt like we are eating like the locals. We highly recommend this tour. You will have so much appreciation of the local foods and surrounding when you go with the great tour guides from Arigato Japan. Thank you Satoshi and Yuko!

The best walking food tour ever!

I am so thankful I joined the Arigato Food Tour in Harajuku and Omotesando! Asami-San was excellent. The venues we visited and the food we sampled and ate were all top notch. Fabulous ambience and delicious food and drinks. This tour was a highlight of my stay in Japan and highly recommend it to all!

Great tour for everyone!

Ayumi was an excellent tour guide! My 2 girls (8 and 10) were really enjoyed Japan’s kawaii culture. As Mom, I needed to worry about sugar crash! My husband is a not sweet eater, but he enjoyed okonomiyaki at lunch. We want to try other tours from Arigato our next visit!

Eat the crepes like there's no tomorrow!

I truly recommend the banana chocolate chocolate ice cream crepe. It's really worth it! The problem is knowing which vendor to go to.

Best Tour company in Tokyo!

Loved my tour of Harajuku with Arigato Japan Food tours. It was my first time in Harajuku and I was completely blown away by all the Kawaii. I loved the lunch at the DIY okonomiyaki restaurant and getting the insta-famous giant cotton candy and crepes. I HIGHLY recommend booking tours with Arigato.

Our best day in Tokyo

Our guide’s knowledge of Japanese food, provenance, culture and history was quite remarkable. Without reservation I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to know more about the area with a special focus on its food, drink and interesting parts of its culture. There were a couple of Japanese ladies on our tour and even they learnt a lot of new things!
