Uzi is AWESOME!!!!!!

This was an AMAZING experience!!!! Driving down the street in go karts while all the people look and stare at you and gawk. Uzi is an awesome guide. He took a lot of awesome pictures of all 5 of us. He had us rotate positions to make sure everyone got pics in the front of the pack. There were sooooo many people waving at us and taking pictures of us as we drove by. All the kids got excited and waved and pointed at us to there parents as if to say "I want to do that". Uzi made sure to go slow through areas of interest so we could stop at the red lights and take lots of pictures ourselves. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour during the day and especially at night when the city is all lit up. Thanks again for EVERYTHING Uzi!!!!!!!!!!!

The best!

The Go-kart tour was absolutely brilliant. Best 90 mins you can do. Issam was an absolute legend as guide. Felt a little cautious for the first 5 minutes or so with all the traffic but once you get the confidence going it really is the best way to see Tōkyō. Would highly recommend.

Really fun way to see the city and our guide Hendrick, could not have been any better! He made it very easy to follow him and once you got the hang of it, you feel like a kid again.

A must do, best way to experience Tokyo

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo, so much fun. Our tour guide Lennard was brilliant and the rest of the monkey kart team too. We saw Tokyo tower, shibuya crossing, Harajuku amongst other places. A must if you are coming to Tokyo and can drive!

Super fun experience

Easier than expected to drive. It felt super fun to drive around Tokyo in the open and close to the ground. Uzi guided us skillfully and took tons of pictures, that he just gave us for free. In many places they would have charged extra for the pictures. I think we were driving more than 90 minutes, so a great deal overall. I would highly recommend.

Awesome adventure

This was an awesome experience all around. The guide was very helpful and fun. The place was very organized and went off on time. Driving through the streets of Tokyo was exhilarating hard to believe you can actually do this. We had a blast.

Tokyo Drift Go KART Style

A Monkey KART tour in Tokyo is an absolute must! Our group had an amazing experience cruising the streets of Tokyo with Ren as our guide. This was one of the first activities we did when we arrived and it was a great way to get a lay of the land. The Monkey KART team is dedicated to giving you a great experience and went above and beyond to document our adventure.

Absolutley brilliant, so much fun!

Absolutley brilliant, so much fun! You do need to be a little brave as the Karts can go quite fast and you are in the main streets but Hoda our tour guide was excellemt and looked after us well with clear instructions. We wanted to book for the evening but it was booked out, so suggest you book early if you wanted the night tour. Prepare for a lot of people to look at you as you drive around :) Would definitley recommend.

Awesome and fun tour

Great experience! Tour guide was Lennard and he was awesome. They teach you how to drive the go-karts and it’s easy to get a hang of it. The sights we see and facts we learn are fun and lots of good photo opportunities. Well worth the trip and experience.

So. Much. Fun!!!!! And safe (even though driving on the streets of Tokyo in afternoon rush hour was a bit chaotic!) The company is very professional and the guide was excellent. Would absolutely recommend!

Great fun and iconic experience not to be missed

This is an absolute must... we had such fun with Ken our guide on the day. Make no mistake, all the other staff were great and made us feel welcome when we arrived at the garage. Ken ensured we had a great trip around the city streets, taking some great fun pictures as well... We drove by a good few of the iconic land marks but Shibuya is a great experience to wait and drive over... Ken made sure we stayed safe in our little group as we traversed the city and rotated the pairs so photos could be had for all... All in all, well worth the money for the fun and experience of pedestrians waving and taking pictures of us, and us of them... So much fun

We enjoyed this immensely. A totally different way to see Tokyo. Beware though that you only get a look at Tokyo Tower if you look behind yourself at just the right time. Doesn’t matter that much but don’t expect to drive around it. Also carefully consider your risk tolerance and insurance status as I suspect this isn’t the safest activity. No helmets if that’s important to you. My wife’s rear vision mirror was unstable. All that said I laughed and smiled the whole way and would thoroughly recommend it if you know what you are getting yourself into.

Shibuya with Izzy

We had a fantastic evening karting in Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku with Izzy our guide - one of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo! The team took some awesome photos and we felt safe throughout.

Great way to see the city while unique Tokyo experience

Such a fun way to see the city!! Our tour guide Issam was lovely. He took photos of us, shared local tips about places to eat and visit, and made us feel safe while having fun. I was surprised at how easy it was to drive around such a busy city like Tokyo. I never felt unsafe. We went on their last tour of the day and got to see the city lit up. I would highly recommend going in the evening. We got some great photos by the Tokyo Tour. Getting your international drivers permit was very easy too. Just make sure you do it before coming to Japan.

Great fun

Monkey karting led by our guide Henrik was a fun and thrilling experience. After a quick briefing, getting dressed into onesies, we jumped into our karts (which have a pouch you can store your passport/licence) and headed off. The karts were easy to drive and the streets of Tokyo were great (not too busy, not scary). This was one of our Japan trip highlights, worth organising an international driving permit for! Henrik took photos of us at various intersections which were sent through for free at the end of our tour.

Go Kart Crazy Tokyo 2024

Daniel took great care of us. The whole crew at Monkey Kart are awesome. Go Kart is a must do in Tokyo. The carts are all different and unique at this location. Daniel took lots of pictures my son and I had a blast. I will definitely do it again…

Awesome!

What an awesome experience! The place was easy enough to find from Gotanda station, about a 7 -10 min walk. We got there early, checked in and were led to the costumes. We didn't think we wanted to dress up, but a group that returned while we were waiting said it really makes the experience so we changed our minds and suited up. They have gloves and glasses there - you really need the gloves for the wind chill, and the glasses were very helpful too. I was quite nervous, so I went close to the guide. For the most part you drive single file, but at times you double up when waiting in traffic lights. They show you a video with hand signals which is great. We went in a group of 6, and there were times were the last two had to wait at traffic lights. Our guide just pulled over and we all waited for the remaining two. He was fabulous - made us feel very comfortable and at ease. He took pictures at traffic lights for us which turned out awesome! At the end, we got our photos over What's App. We don't use what's app, so it was hard to make an account without a phone number while overseas - do that before you leave Aus. It was an amazing experience!

Driving 40-50km through Tokyo

It was awesome driving through Tokyo in our costumes! We attracted a lot of attention at Shibuya Crossing.

Better than I expected. By far!

Great combination of safe and thrilling. The 90 minute flew by. My son’s talked about how much they loved it for days. We got great pics from our driver. Such a blast.

Poor management

The guys in charge show no sympathy in their management of their rules and regs. They need to be more clear in the requirements

Due to our fault we arrived exactly at 10, instead of 20 minutes early like we were supposed to. No problem- they accommodated us - again it was totally our fault. Ken did a great job leading us around Tokyo. Instructions were easy to follow, he was very carry to make sure we were safe, pointed out all noteworthy attractions and took great pictures. Would highly recommend this tour.

Great thrills through Tokyo

The experience was exhilarating. Crusing through the streets of Tokyo was so fun. Ken, our guide, was just exceptional. Without a doubt, having such a dedicated and knowledgeable guide enhanced the overall enjoyment of the tour. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a fast-paced, enjoyable outing.

Fun to drive, not much to see

Booked the Mario kart tour because I thought it would be fun to race around. I’ve seen this tour many years ago and now there are several locations offering it. We booked shinagawa because it was a holiday weekend and I knew it would be less busy around that part of town. We received all the information when we checked in. We opted out of the costume opportunity. We watched a safety and instruction video and we were on our way! I picked the purple car. It’s pretty fast. Our guide took pictures of us along the way and offered them to us via WhatsApp afterward. This tour accepts tips - maybe because they’re foreigners? We gave five bucks a piece afterward. I’d say the tour was ok. There is not much to see for the shinagawa to shibuya tour but there are places where you can get up to 80-85 km/hr. Driving the car was certainly fun but honestly the tour itself was just so-so. The holiday weekend had the shibuya crossing shut down so we didn’t get any pictures there. We did get a couple with Tokyo tower in the background though. For some reason I thought we were going to Odaiba as well- maybe I was misinformed. Seems like the tours can change based on traffic and events. Overall I’d say it was safe but I was not overly thrilled about the path, and I suppose that’s my own fault. Maybe it’s best to book the Asakusa tour path?

Greatest fun ever.

No-one should come to Tokyo and not do this, we had an absolute blast! The karts are very well maintained and didn't skip a beat. They are fast enough that it's incredibly exciting, but not fast enough to be dangerous. The instructions are clear and precise both before the tour begins and during the tour. Our tour guide was Dan and he was awesome. I'm an older, slightly larger lady, but he made me feel very comfortable with my participation in the tour and didn't hold back to cater specifically to me - he really was terrific. Honestly cannot recommend this tour highly enough. MAKE SURE YOU GET AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME - YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE WITHOUT IT.

Such a great and unique way to see the city, I would do it again if I come back to Tokyo. Ken has great energy and speaks very good English.

Terrible misleading

I’ve booked this tour with great anticipation only to realize that I could not go on the ride because apparently you need a international drivers license nowhere was it stated that I needed this and I am waiting for my full return

Great tour

I booked a morning tour and Izzy showed me the sights while go karting. For my first time driving in a foreign country, it was a blast. Izzy took great care of me and traffic wasn't bad. She pointed out some sights for me to see later (which I did, thank you Izzy!). We made good enough time that Izzy took me back through Shibuya Crossing 3 times to make sure we got good pictures. Can't recommend this tour and Izzy enough!

Bucket List Ticked!

Amazing! What a fabulous way to see Tokyo. Ken was always making sure we were all there and safely travelling through the traffic. Much better than sitting in a coach.

A total blast

Just make sure you have your IDL. Without it you can't go and you will miss out on the greatest experience ever . This was so much fun .

Great Kart tour

Great tour!! You get the full 90 minutes of driving on the road. They give you a short briefing in the beginning and you are off on your way! The pace car driver was excellent and took excellent pictures during the red lights. There’s also a staff bike at the very end of the kart train to make sure your lane changes are safe and in case there’s stragglers. In addition, you get a beautiful 4x6 photo printed of yourself at the Tokyo tower stylized with the Mario kart color palette, which was a nice surprise and touch!

BEST EXPERIENCE IN TOKYO

this was the most amazing tour to do in Tokyo. We were able to drive on the streets and see landmarks white dressing up. The staff was amazing and I couldn’t thank them enough for giving us a great time. Ren and Yosuke gave us the best experience I could’ve ever imagined I didn’t think the price was too much and we were given well over 90 minutes of drive time. They were super fun to hang out with and I would recommend this experience to everyone.

Excellent Kart Tour around Tokyo main highlights

Very nice experience to tour the city in a fancy kart way. It took us 90 minutes drive around the city and visited the iconic areas such as Tokyo Tower and other crowded areas around the city. Safety was a priority and we never felt any discomfort or worry during the tour. People were excited to see us roaming around the city and many took photos of us during the tour that was entertaining.

What are you waiting for! A must!

This is definitely a must! Daniel was such a fun/informative guy who showed us around Japan and pointed out landmarks! He gave my sister and I time to take photos too! If you can arrive 10-15 min early to pick a costume and if you have someone without a license/IDP they can ride along with an employee and they can take photos. Remember no phones are allowed as you drive however you can purchase a mini camera and connect that to your cart and you can have the person who is riding with the instructor to take photos on their phone too.

Disappointment

I showed up for the activity but was refused access because the international permit had to be translated into Japanese, which was never mentioned in the offer. I was asked to send a refund request which was made but no response to date.

If you are in Tokyo, this activity is a must do. For all lovers of sensations and new experiences, go there with your eyes closed. A great adventure in the busiest areas of Tokyo awaits you. All this in the company of the super monkey kart team which is really at the top. Special mention for Kazuki who gave us the tour.
