Bang for your buck

What a great experience we had with Erick. He took us everywhere we wanted to go and made the most of the time we had with him . He recommended this bakery and another brewery with a view . Both were hidden gems . He was caring and personable and I definitely recommend this tour .

Easy, fun, and beautiful trip

We loved all of the wineries that were selected for our tour, they offered a great variety of wines and foods and beautiful environment. Our driver was excellent and super friendly. He kept us on schedule throughout the day and gave us great insights into the region. Although unexpected, the tequila tasting stood out — we’ve never tasted such complex, delicious tequila before!

Wonderful trip

Had a great trip to Valle de Guadalupe with Oliver from Baja Rides & Tours. They helped put together a last minute itinerary to some great wineries with good wines and fantastic views along with a great lobster dinner in Puerto Nuevo. We booked last minute and on a local holiday and Baja Rides & Tours came through for us.

Fun day in the valle

Our guide Oliver was reliable and knowledgeable! He got us to our tour safe, even when it was slightly rainy. He had great choices on which vinicola to go to. We will book again in the future!

Best in the Valle

We had a wonderful day in México's Valle de Guadalupe on this tour. The reason the tour was so amazing and so much fun was because of our guide Joe. He made the day extra special for all of us. He was very informative about the area and we enjoyed his sharing of personal experiences of the region and his insights and recommendations. He's very knowledgable about the area. Also I appreciated that he let us know what to expect at each winery. The wineries that he picked to visit were all very welcoming. This was such a great tour that I would highly recommend. I am also looking forward to doing future tours with this company and hoping to get a guide as cool as Joe.

An awesome experience with Erick, our tour guide. As soon as we walked across the border, he was within eyesight waving us down. We started the day with some delicious tacos. After breakfast he took us to 3 unique wineries, each with delicious food and drink. This is definitely the way to explore Valle de Guadalupe.

My parents visiting from FL loved it!

Had such a great experience traveling with Baja Rides and Tours. It was my parents first time and it made the experience very easy and pleasant. We walked across the border and Joe was there waiting for us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to each winery and even walked us in. At some spots we asked him to sit with us as we very much enjoyed his company and helped us learn more about each location. We were able to edit our tour towards the end and add a much welcomed coffee shop stop. My parents had the best time and it made being back in Valle such a great time. If you are looking for friendly, safe travel for your day trip to the wineries you have landed in the right spot!

I have traveled all around the world . Solo and with the your company. For all my life . I have to say this is the BEST AND THE BEST. I usually don’t leave the review but this one I have to give a shout out to Baja rise and tour and of courses our tour guide Jose or Joe to accommodate us very well. We don’t speak Spanish but our tour guide speak English better than us 😊It was a last minute trip (less than 12 hour!!!) . We book on Saturday night for a Sunday morning tour. And they made it possible . I have done some research a little bit where I want to go and they have made it possible for the itinerary!!!! For us this is not a wine tour we called food and wine tour haha Here is our itinerary 1. Puerto Nuevo lobster town 2. Bloodlust wine bar 3. Casa Frida ( is a must!! Chocolate and wine tasting is the best)! 4. De Cantos Winery 5. Oja 6. Tacos El gordo All I can say is thank you very much for your professionalism and your knowledge of the area I will be back again and again with my friend and my family.

Outstanding

I organized this trip for my friends visiting Baja for the first time and it did not disappoint. I was asked for a few places that I wanted to visit and they handled putting together an itinerary and reservations. Our driver for the day was Chris. He messaged me early on to arrange pickup and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was an excellent host for the day making sure we got where we needed to go and that we had a great time. All-in-all I'm very happy with the experience and will definitely use Baja Rides and Tours again for future trips.

Best trip ever

I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the picturesque landscape to the warm hospitality, everything exceeded my expectations. Our guide was exceptionally accommodating and made our experience even more enjoyable. Upon learning about our interest in horse riding, they kindly arranged for a change in the itinerary, replacing one of the winery visits with a horseback riding adventure. This gesture truly made our day.

Fantastic!!

I cannot say enough about our trip! We had such a wonderful time! Christian organized such a fantastic day starting with breakfast at Dona Esthela with a birthday song and cake via notification by Christian. We had our three children with us so he organized wineries that were kid friendly plus had delicious wine. We stopped by local artisan bread and cheese shops. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Thank you for such a fun day!!

Greatest gals trip to VDG!

From beginning to end, everything was perfect! After booking, they immediately reached out to help build an itinerary (went to Relieve, Casa Frida, and Decantos). Marco was exceptional. :) He was helpful and kind! He took pictures of us and always answered any questions we had. We felt very safe! Since we were celebrating two birthdays, he surprised us with a little cake at the first stop and las mañanitas at the second. We highly highly recommend!

Rainy VDG

I planned this tour for my mom, my sister and myself. We felt extremely safe with our expert driver and tour guide! As soon as I booked the trip, Eric contacted me on WA to align on the itinerary. He sent recommendations for wineries, hotels, restaurants and instructions on crossing the border. Listen to Eric! I followed his advice on one of the three wineries (Relieve) and it was our favorite! I also booked the restaurant he recommended (Animalon) and it had the most amazing service, ambiance and food! Rain was in the forecast for our tour date and it did not let up. Chris was our driver and he expertly navigated all the dirt roads, pot holes, and hydroplaning. He reassured us the entire time and we got to VDG safely and on time. It was quite the adventure, but we felt extremely safe and well taken care of. We had such a great experience that we booked them for the following day for our return travel to the border. Chris again showed up on time and took an alternate route so we could see a different side of VDG.

Must do tour

We couldn’t find a tour that met our needs. We wanted to do a micro brewery, wineries and good food without having to be locked into a group or cancellation if they didn’t get the numbers. Fenomenal! Exceeded my expectations! I can’t stress it enough how much I enjoyed my birthday trip to Valle De Guadalupe. I absolutely appreciate my tour guide, Cris, who gave us exceptional service. Since the start of booking my tour, he and his team were great on communicating with me via text message regarding my itinerary for the day. I had actually done my own research on wineries/restaurants and they accommodated my requests. I was able to adjust my itinerary with his recommendations while also doing some of the things I originally had in mind. Everything was well explained since the start. We had constant communication. We arrived to TJ by walking the border. We then took off to Ensenada. I wanted to eat breakfast so he recommended us a spot-Salvia Blanca (great service and drinks!). We then went to Frida Winery (A MUST SEE! Highly recommend). Then he took us to Decantos Vinícola, another great location with a tour to their winery process. Finally, to my request, we headed to Los Portales de Garcia restaurant. Another great location to end the night with live music, food and great cocktails. All of this was made possible by Baja Rides & Tours. I had a great time while feeling safe with Cris as my private tour guide. I can’t thank him enough. I can’t wait to re-book for my second trip to VDG in the summer!

Where do I start, Chris was great and an exceptional person. Made us feel right at home and taught us many new things and history on Tijuana. We had such an amazing day trip, thanks to Baja Rides and Tours! Our tour guide, Marco, met us promptly right across the border, which was super easy. He also made all the winery reservations and dinner reservations for us! Marco was great, took pictures and videos of our tour all day and was super friendly! I highly recommend this company!

Customized tour - history and culture of Tijuana

My husband and I signed up for a Wine Valley tour and then decided to skip the wine valley and focus on touring Tijuana. Our day trip started at the US-Tijuana pedestrian border crossing. Our guide, Marco, was waiting for us on the Mexico side of the border and we began our tour with breakfast. We were welcomed by the original owner of a historical taco place and Marco gave us recommendations for breakfast of tacos birria (tender stewed beef with spices) before heading out on our drive to Playa Tijuana. We found the “big beautiful wall” was not so beautiful but enjoyed the murals at Playa Tijuana. Next we spent some time walking and riding through downtown Tijuana, visiting a museum, street markets, and other attractions and landmarks until it was time to visit the grand Caesar’s Hotel and try the original Caesar Salad. The salad was made table-side, and was delicious and perfect to keep us nourished for the afternoon of more touring ending with a visit to the modern City Center aquarium and botanical garden. After a day of touring, we headed about 30 minutes down the Baja Peninsula to Puerto Nuevo for a seafood dinner. We couldn’t resist the musicians and requested Ceilito Lindo to complete our day. We were glad to focus our tour on the culture, history, and food of Tijuana, and Marco provided a personalized tour that went far beyond our expectations.

Guadalupe Wine Valley Tour

Marco made our experience memorable! For starters, he greeted us at the pickup location on time and gave us a rundown of what to expect throughout the day. He gave us a few history lessons along the way to Valle de Guadalupe and even stopped to see the Castillo del Diablo. We went to 3 different wineries but my favorite was Casa Frida. The wine and chocolate pairings there were awesome so make sure to add this to your itinerary! Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely book again :)

Best Valle Tour, period

Eric turned a one day trip to Valle de Guadalupe into a week's worth of memories! He knew exactly where to take us, maximizing every stop and hour of the day. We ate well, drank better, and got to see this magical play just 90 minutes from the border. With over 100 wineries to visit, we'll be back, and we'll look forward to booking Eric again!

I highly recommend this tour with Baja Rides and Tours! After submitting a booking, they contacted us promptly to plan all of the logistics. Angel was a great driver, picked us up from our hotel on time, and brought us to some amazing vineyards. You definitely need to go!!!

We just visited Guadalupe Valle with Marco and it was truly the best experience! We were staying in San Diego, and Marco was able to guide us so that we could not only park our car near the border but also cross into Tijuana. Everything was very simple and safe! Once in Guadalupe Valle, we went to 3 different wineries. Make sure you ask to go to Frannes and Norte 32- these were our top 2 favorites because the wine was soooo delicious!!! Be prepared to buy at least one wine bottle and take it back with you. Overall, Marco was stupendous!!!! I highly recommend this wine tour. You are going to have such a blast in Mexico’s very own “Napa Valley”….

The Perfect & Friendly Experience

Chris was our driver and he made the experience one to remember. He picked out a variety of wineries that encompassed large outdoor seating with the breath taking scenery. He was informative on history of the area, culture, and venues we visited. Polite in his manners, which shined when he would be talking with us (3) couples and the employees at the wineries and coffee shop we stopped at. Our day was blessed with beautiful weather and outstanding food & drinks. Chris's effort only made the day better by him letting us know he was there to make the day the best day it could be for our group. Van had snacks, cooler with waters and plenty of room to bring back a box full of wine! When booking make sure to ask to make a stop for the wine and chocolate pairing/tasting. This tour was amazing!! Chris Pichardo was our driver. He was fun and professional and kind. The van was nice and clean with a/c and a cooler with water provided and the option to bring snacks/drinks of our own on board. We didn’t have an itinerary set so we trusted Chris to bring us to all of the best spots and he delivered. We had an incredible time. Thank you Chris!!!

Great hosts for VDG trip!

This was our second trip to VDG, and also our second time touring with Marco. It was like seeing an old friend. As usual, Marco met us on time at the Tijuana border. We visited Casa Magoni winery, Alveolo Bakery, had lunch at Fauna, and then stopped at Vina de Frannes winery after lunch. It was really nice to visit VDG during Christmas time - a little quieter, and the valley had a little more greenery. The visit to Vina de Frannes was so peaceful with a beautiful view of the winery in the back patio. What made the trip extra special was that Marco went out of his way to stop by a tamales place in Rosarito. He even called ahead to make sure they were open. We finished our trip to a quick visit to the beach in Tijuana where the border wall is located. All of the wines and the food we had were delicious, especially the tamales. It was really fun to spend another day with Marco. He was funny, friendly, and always made sure that we were taken care of at each stop. He also took a lot of beautiful photos during throughout the day. We look forward to touring with him again. Thank you Marco for a great day!

Top Class Service

Our tour guide, Chris was very organized and communicated well with us, starting with clearly telling us how to get across the border, where to meet up, and pointing us to a great little coffee shop. The van was clean and comfortable. Chris was extremely knowledgeable, and related interesting facts throughout our trip. He was humorous and made the trip go quickly. He took us to great wineries and at each place he spoke with the staff to help us get in and feel comfortable. It was my wife’s birthday and he actually brought a small cake, had the winery play Happy Birthday and made her feel very special. On the trip back, he had us eat at a great seafood restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour of the Guadalupe Wine Valley. We will definitely use this company again in the future.

Outstanding customized wine tour and driver!

Yet another glowing 5-star review! This company means what they say when they write that they will customize a trip to your requests and interests. I work in the wine business, so I wasn't interested in getting a "Wine 101" tour of the popular tourist sites. They texted me a week in advance and at that time I told them that my wife and I wanted to see some top quality producers and get a good sense of the range of what is happening in the Mexican wine industry. They definitely came through, with visits to a top producer, to a hip winery making "natural" and canned wines, to a tiny artisan boutique producer, finishing at a picturesque winery for a beautiful sunset to close out the day. If you have specific requests, be sure to communicate them before your trip and they'll do their best to meet your needs. Chris, our driver, was superb -- friendly, knowledgeable, genuinely fun to talk to, and willing to change plans mid-day to accommodate our food requests. He graciously served as a translator for my wife and me at one of the wineries that had no English-speaking staff, and again when navigating a quick lunch stop. I highly, highly recommend these guys, and will most certainly hire them again the next time I need a driver in this part of Mexico.

Tour of Valle de Guadalupe

Marco picked us up right outside of the border crossing, at the communicated time. Marco is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and shares information as you make your way to Valle de Guadalupe. He does a very good job at personalizing the trip for the group. He asked us what kinds of wines and atmosphere we like or wanted to see and gets you as close as he can. He has a good relationship with a lot of the different wineries and got us a few private tours that we never would have found. He does a good job calling ahead to make sure that the wineries can fit you in. My tour was super open to recommendations as we didn’t know a lot about the valley and he took us to really great wineries and places to eat. I definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting to see some wineries in Valle de Guadalupe.

A+ Time in Guadalupe Valley!

We had a wonderful time on our trip with Marco. He picked us up from our airbnb in Rosarito right on time and kept us entertained from start to finish. He was flexible with the schedule when we chose to spend a little more time at some stops than others. Chris helped to curate a perfect itinerary for us, being that we are not all wine drinkers. So each stop had multiple beverage types available so all could partake. We had lunch along the way and made a special stop in Lobster Village for dinner. Marco took pictures of our group along the way so we could just enjoy the trip and sent them to us later. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore a new area without having to do the drive yourself! It was great not having to research each individual place and just having some great locations suggested for us. Thanks for everything!!

Amazing birthday celebration tour with this company!

We had an amazing experience doing a private full day tour in Valle de Guadalupe. They reached out prior to the tour date to discuss our itinerary and confirmed all details in advanced. They took care of making reservations, which was such a time-saver for us. We had one winery and restaurant on our must-visit list and were open to everything else. We had the opportunity to visit a small winery where we had a private tasting with the owner, which made the experience so much more special. When we were discussing the trip, I was asked if it was for a special event. We were celebrating my mom's birthday. At our second winery stop our driver surprised her with cake and candles. It was so thoughtful! Absolutely recommend booking your tour with them, you will not regret it.

I have taken many tours and this one exceeded my expectations at every turn. Chris was our guide and as luck would have it, we learned he's a Pulitzer Prize-winning fixer for journalists. He's incredibly adaptive and tailored the trip to our interests. ✔️ Stunning location! ✔️ Meet the wine maker ✔️ Exceptional wines ✔️ Fabulous meal Spending time with Baja Rides and Tours was like meeting up with a dear friend who has their pulse on all the best things to see and do. Chris even helped us capture stunning photos and sent them in a Google doc file that night. It was a full day and I honestly didn't want it to end. And it didn't. Two days later, Chris came back and provided my friend transportation to the border. Baja Rides and Tours was a masterclass in attentiveness and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Memories of Valle de Guadalupe!

This was an excellent tour to the Valle. I chose this company because it is owned and operated by people from Baja California. We chose to do two wineries, lunch and some time in Rosarito. Communication was easy via WhatsApp to finalize all the itinerary details. You can pick your own itinerary, or you can you go with their suggestions. We had already made a lunch reservation at Fauna for lunch, but we didn't know where to go for wine tasting. The staff made it easy for us to select wineries based on our preferences. We said we wanted a quiet atmosphere instead of a party/club atmosphere. Our driver was Marco. He provided very clear directions where to meet in Tijuana. The designated meeting point is literally steps outside the security checkpoint. It was a 1.5 hour drive to the first winery. Our original selection was closed due to a private party. Luckily Marco was able to find another place for us which we loved. The rest of the day went smoothly, except that Rosarito had a Beachfest and too much traffic. Because of the traffic, we decided to skip Rosariot. By that point we were already tired and ready to go home. Marco was a great driver. He also pointed out different areas of interest and mentioned some other places we might want to visit. He even mentioned a bakery (Alveolo) with fresh baked olive bread. We asked him to stop there after lunch. In addition Marco took photos of us and sent them to us a few days after the tour. I have been on many private tours around the world. I've never been on a bad tour, but I think that Marco took some extra steps to show exceptional customer service. He clearly cares about ensuring that the clients have a really memorable experience. Chris was absolutey 5 stars I can not even begin to explain the impeccable and friendly service we had during our time with him. He was so knowledgeable and had our best interest always. Guadalupe wine valley Tour

I was very hesitant at first to take a trip to Tijuana with a group of 4 girls, but I am glad we booked with Baja rides and tours. Marco was a driver and he was attentive and ensured our experience was met. He paid attention to detail in a sense of what we hoped this trip was going to be like. We had a total of 5 stops, Marco ensured once we settled down that we were okay before giving us privacy. I would definitely recommend this tour and will contact Marco for another trip!

Great time in Mexico

Our tour guide Marco was great! He took us wine tasting and the winery was beautiful - great place for pictures. He has great recommendations for places everywhere we wanted to go. Overall great experience, would highly recommend. One thing I would improve is the vehicle was a bit tight for the long drives around Mexican. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience, we visited about 4 different cities throughout the day. Did I mention Marco is a talented photographer.

Don’t overlook this charming opportunity

This was the best experience! At first I was going to book and expensive trip that offered door to door service from San Diego to Baja for a lot of $$$ without anything included. Then we found this tour and decided to try it. Not only is it well priced but Chris made sure to review every detail with us including what the tour offered as well as how to meet him across the border. He was waiting for us ready to go! He crafted the perfect day starting with the more chill place and working our way up to a beautiful place called Frieda with a DJ. He let us stop and get some local tacos for $1. I had never heard of the places he took us to and they were charming, had delicious wine and food and overall were great! I would highly recommend giving this a try. Plus Chris is informative in the culture and can give you a interesting history tour along the way as well. Hope you enjoy! xo

Great trip, the food and wine are just amazing. Our driver was knowledgeable and pleasant. The Valley is beautiful and I highly recommend this tour.

Best One Day Excursion Ever

Our wine tour was absolutely amazing. Marco, our driver, was very helpful, professional, accommodating, fun, and he helped choose the best places to take us! Vibes, drinks, music, ambience- you name it. I will be doing this tour again! 10/10 recommend to others, I have zero complaints! We had such a great day and honestly, this was a killer deal.

Beautiful birthday trip to Valle de Guadalupe

We had a very fun day!! Our driver, Joe, helped out in so many ways—we felt taken care of and like we had nothing to worry about. The winery recommendations were perfect and they easily accommodated my request for a vegetarian dinner and suggested a wonderful restaurant. Water bottles were provided throughout the trip, which was necessary and helpful considering it was a very hot day. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a personalized, simple, and fun day trip into the Valle de Guadalupe!
