Amazing experience!

Excellent experience, our guide was amazing! it rained on us a little, so it was fun going through all the puddles of water. I had my 5 year old son with me and we both had a blast! We visited two beaches, took pictures and got to see a monkey . I would definitely do this again. Gracias por todo!! Buena vida !

Riding in the rain! So fun!!

We had an incredible time my daughter and I riding on the ATV’s for the first time with Hilmar! He made us feel comfortable with learning to ride and we did it in the rain! Memorable experience and very fun! We rode through the back roads area of Costa Rica to the beach. Stopped for a smoothie too!

Our Tour guide was Fernando and he was sooooo chilllll. He didn’t rush us. We had so much fun and the restaurant we stopped at we delicious. We ordered arroz con pollo, strawberry mojito and a strawberry daiquiri! Views were amazing also!

Ronnie the tour instructor gave us extra time at beach, a smoothie stop and allowed us to stop for fried chicken at the end! Ntm a nice ride though town , forest , and beach mixed.

ATV Excursion

This was the BEST excursion we did during our time in Costa Rica. We were a little nervous at first but our guide, Hilmar, made us feel so comfortable!!! He took us to the most beautiful beaches and would stop along the way to show us beautiful spots. At one of the beaches he looked all over to find us some cool sea creatures like star fish and sea urchins. Hilmar was the best! If you’re in this area, you need to do this!

Do it!

We had a 2 hrs private tour. Our guide was Hilmar. We enjoyed the morning a lot. Instructions were just right. Little Test drive was perfect. Speed perfect. Dirt Tracks to the beach just right matching our abilities. Little bit of wildlife next to the tracks (Howler Monkeys). Thanks Hilmar for that morning. Just right for us!!

Great half day with Gustavo

It was my first visit to Costa Rica and signed up for the half day ATV and Zipline tour. I’ve done both before in other places but this was the best of my experiences. Equipment was great and Gustavo the guide was top notch! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and his passion for his country shined through. Fantastic experience all around

We had an AMAZING time. Juan and Fernando were the perfect match for our group. They were attentive and kept us safe, as well as funny and engaging. I highly recommend them if you do this excursion. It’s worth every penny plus more! Definitely a winner!

Top Tour

The tour was excellent 👌. Our guide was Hilmar. He gave excellent instructions on how to drive the Quad. He was very calm which helped me a lot as I was a bit anxious! He knew a lot about the area and the wildlife. We saw howler monkeys en route and visited 2 beaches. A very enjoyable morning with a super guide. Thank you Hilmar!

Excellent tour for all ages!!

Hilmar was our guide and he did an excellent job of taking care of us and making the tour so much fun. There were 5 of us riding including our 5 year old grandson. We visited two beautiful beaches, drank coconut water and mango smoothie and ate fresh pineapple. We all loved the experience. Highly recommend the tour and Hilmar!

So much fun!

The instructors (Juan and Gustavo) were so much fun! We made stops at different beaches and beach bars. The ATV experience was very fun and the views we got were even better. Getting to see the non-tourist spots of Costa Rica was definitely an experience! We even saw some monkeys up in the trees. Almost everyone in our group said this was our favorite excursion.

Blast as a family

Our family of 5 had the most amazing time. We were alone with our guide Hilma. He was incredibly kind and showed us the most amazing places. He took us places we would have never seen if we hadn’t done this tour. They are very professional and safe!!!

¡Excellente!

We had the most amazing experience today!!!! Hilmar was an excellent guide through the trails all the way to Playa Real, and Playa Puerto Viejo! 10/10 , 5 stars! DO recommend!!! Hilmar explained the rules, and we were off! We saw beautiful scenery, lush green foliage and we even saw howler monkeys!!!! We stopped for photo opportunities and a drink at one of the beaches. I’m so pleased!

Memorable Experience

506- Transfers, Tours and Rentals is first class service. They picked us up on time from our condo and drove us to their location about 20 minutes away from Tamarindo. The driver was very nice and friendly. We then met up with our guide Juan. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He took us on a memorable tour including 3 beautiful beaches. Always willing to take our pictures including videos of us on the ATV. We will never forget this experience. Thank you 506!!!

ATV Tour - Must Try while in Tamarindo

506 is first class service. They picked us up right from our condo in Tamarindo and drove us to the meeting point. The driver was friendly and did everything with a smile. We then met our Tour guide, Juan, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He set us up in our ATV’s and took us on a perfect tour. We visited beautiful and secluded beaches. He took so many pictures of us including videos of us driving the ATV. We were all so excited with the tour. There was nothing to complain about. We strongly recommend you take this Tour while in Tamarindo or neighboring areas. It is so worth it and memorable. Thank you so much 506 - Transfers, Tours & Rentals. Great Booking.

My family really loved this booking. We had a blast driving through the puddles and along the coast. My 16 was able to drive and it was his favorite thing we did. Very friendly staff and went a little longer than advertised and there was never a rush.

Ripped Off

This tour was a Total Rip Off. They booked us for the Wrong day. 100% fault of their booking agent, Viator. When we didn't show up on the Wrong day they Sebastian said we could come they next day, our Original booking, for more money. I will dispute their $240 for something we didn't get with my bank.

Ripped off

The reservation made by your representative was made for the wrong day. It was made for August 4 and should’ve been made for August 5. We already had another excursion booked for the fourth. The person I spoke with at the ATV excursion was rude and arrogant. And wanted another $60 for us to come and take the excursion on the correct day the fifth. I will never recommend this to anyone. In fact, I will make it a point to tell everyone I know not to take this excursion. I am reporting this foul play to my credit card company and to American Airlines.

2 hour AWD trip

WOW! This was by far our best excursion when in Costa Rica! Not only was it absolutely FUN but our tour guide JUAN made it exceptional! Great fun seeing amazing areas

We did the two-hour ATV/buggy tour with Juan, and it was tons of fun. The ATV could really scoot. Juan was a fabulous guide who made it a lot of fun. We loved the secluded beaches and also the out-of-the way watering spot where we stopped for some drinks. We would totally do this again!

Top notch service and must do experience

We booked last minute and glad we did. Had great service from the minute we got picked up by their shuttle service. The place was very professional and staff were top notch. We lucked out and got Juan as our guide and I can’t say enough about his hospitality and guidance. We would have never seen this part of the area without this tour. We only had 2 days in the area and this got the most out of our time. Highly suggest the 3 hour tour.

3-Hour ATV Buggy Guided Tour from Tamarindo

With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality management, I appreciate great service and attention to detail. Our recent 3-hour ATV buggy guided tour from Tamarindo, booked through 506 Transfers & Tours, was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Our group of eight, including three kids under 14, had an amazing time. The kids rode in a two-seater buggy, ensuring they were safe and comfortable throughout the tour. Our guide, Juan, was exceptional. He prioritized safety, providing thorough instructions on how to operate the ATVs and making sure everyone was confident before we set off. Juan led the group from the front, consistently looking back to ensure everyone was present and accounted for. He also offered to take photos at various stops, which was a nice touch. His communication was excellent, and he even surprised us with cold pineapple at the end of the tour—a refreshing treat after a long ride. The excursion itself was fantastic. Navigating the back roads to reach the secluded beaches was a thrilling experience, something we couldn't have done without a guide. Our favorite beach was Playa Mina, a serene and picturesque spot with only a few other people besides our group. The water was perfectly warm, and the kids enjoyed using the provided snorkel gear. We spent about an hour at Playa Mina, which was enough time to soak in the beauty of the place. The other two beaches we visited were nice but couldn't compare to Playa Mina. We decided to spend more time there on Juan's recommendation. The journey back to the 506 office was particularly memorable, as we drove through pouring rain and puddles, adding an extra layer of excitement to the adventure. The whole family loved navigating the back roads in the rain. The ground transportation provided by 506 Transfers & Tours was excellent. The bus arrived on time—actually, it arrived early and waited patiently for our family. It was spacious and clean, with great air conditioning, which was much appreciated. The driver was also very hospitable, making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Recommendations for Future Travelers: 1. Wear Beach Clothes/Bathing Suits: It's best to wear your beach clothes or bathing suits under your regular clothes, as there are no changing facilities available. If you want to remove wet clothing after visiting the beach, bring a separate bag to store them. 2. Footwear: Bring water shoes or shoes suitable for both water and terrain, especially in case it rains. 3. Rain Protection: If you prefer to stay dry, consider packing ponchos and definitely some waterproof cases for your phones. 4. Backpack: A waterproof backpack is handy for carrying snacks, towels, sunscreen, and insect repellent. 5. Insect Repellent: We used Sawyer Picaridin insect repellent lotion and Repel's "Deet Free" lemon and eucalyptus spray for added protection against mosquitoes. Remember to reapply after spending time at the beach. 6. Storage: There’s a compartment on the back of the ATV for storing items or a backpack. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking directly with 506 Transfers & Tours rather than through third-party apps like Viator. While I understand the concerns of booking directly in a foreign country, this company provides excellent support for any questions or concerns regarding your trip, including details on cancellation and refund policies, ground transportation, and personalized recommendations. Ask for Sebastian—he's great!

Our guide, Fernando, was awesome. He was great with giving clear guidance on our tour and making sure we had a great time. Overall, highly recommend this tour.

This thrilling experience is a must!

This tour was by far the most fun we’ve had so far. Our tour guide Juan gave us an amazing experience. He was patient, gave detailed instructions on how to use the ATVs and made sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable. The beaches we visited were gorgeous and we were able to enjoy coconut water straight out of the coconut. Our tour guide was very accommodating; he was willing to indulge us with several pictures by the water. I rate this an experience a 10/10 and I would definitely do it again next time I’m in Costa Rica.

Awesome experience! Visited two different beaches and the guide was friendly. Had to cross several rivers and the trails were a good mix of challenging to easy. Highly recommend.

Fun activity for the family

Our family of 5 went on this ATV tour with Hilmar, and we felt safe the entire time! We had a lot of fun driving through mud, visiting the beach, and along tree lined roads. Hilmar gave us fresh pineapples at the end of our tour, and that was the cherry on top. Thank you Hilmar!

Fun fast and great for family!

Excellent 2 hour ATV tour through jungle, two different beaches, villages. Saw two snakes - one tiny very dangerous and one huge boa constrictor! Gustavo was our guide - excellent and told us lots about the surrounding area. Fast and fun for all. ATV were very new and high powered crossing streams, beaches and rough roads!

Great ATV ride!

Fernando wax a terrific guide, it was raining so we had the whole tour to ourselves! We had fun riding and checked out some nice quiet beaches along the way.

Too calm for thrill seekers

I’ve done other ATV tours in the past. This one was “OK”. Don’t get me wrong they were very friendly and knowledgeable but it lacked excitement. There were 4 people in my group, the weather was rainy so the zip line portion was canceled. We were taken instead to two other beaches - which were magnificent!. But the ATV path was rather boring. We stayed in a line, no passing was allowed. The others in my group were ok with going 25-30 but I wasn’t. For a jungle/mountain ATV ride. I expected to get a lot more “dirty” or at least have a bit more thrill. So that’s the reason for my score.

Our guides Gilmar and Gustavo were so AMAZING! What a great tour — they made us feel safe and instructions were super clear. Then it was time to have fun! We visited two beaches and got to ATV through puddles and river - adrenaline rush! The entire time they made sure we were safe and addressed any concerns or surprises along the way! It rained during the tour which made it even more epic - straight out of a movie. So much fun!! Thank you Gilmar and Gustavo for an amazing day!!!

Great way to see more of Costa Rica!

This was an amazing time. We chose the 2 hour tour and visited 3 different beaches. Gustavo was the best! Very capable and informative guide. So friendly and hard working. We felt we were in good hands. We saw monkeys, which was a first for us! Our kids, 4 and 6 years old, enjoyed the beaches immensely. They were all unique and different from our hotel’s beach, which was a plus. Riding on the back roads, full of bumps, mud, and beautiful scenery made us all so happy. We will go again whenever we return. I would add this to your itinerary :) (Would have posted pics, but our phone died).

ATV caravan to the beach.

It was a lot of fun, we’re glad we did it and would recommend it. More back road than off-road experience. Really no jungle or forest ATVing. Two beaches, one which was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen ever seen. Playa Real or “Pirate Beach”. Would’ve been better if we could’ve went faster, but there’s always that one group that holds everybody back and sadly it was mine. It frustrated me. I can only imagine the other group that were with us felt. One of ours had problems with the thumb throttle and just couldn’t keep up, slowing everyone else down. Sorry. Lots of other ATV groups on the route. The first beach was busy, very nice. Had food and drinks, but it was the second one that we really liked. I would’ve preferred just going to that second beach and spending more time there. Bring bathing suits and take advantage of the beach time. The equipment was expertly maintained the safety briefing and instruction was spot on. They provided a helmet with a GoPro mount. My only criticism was when we got to the place. It’s surrounded by a white wall with no obvious entrance, looked closed and we weren’t sure we were in the right place until the gate opened to let a bus in. There’s a bit of travel through some residential areas on the way out and back. Which felt a little awkward at times.

Worth it!

What a great adventure trip! We took right to the backroads and trails with Juan as our guide. Juan was the best…very personable, knowledgeable and a great guide. He took great care of us and we enjoyed getting to know him. The two hours went by too fast for the beauty we got to see. We’ll definitely go back and ride with 506 again and ask for Juan to be our lead rider.

It was really fun experience and professional guides. We stopped at two beaches and had good time. Overall experience would be 4 hours depends on pick and drop off. Get ready to get dusty and bit muddy. We took buggy four seater and it’s really fun.

ATV sight seeing in Costa Rica

Fernando was a great tour guide. We went when it rained but that made the ATV all that much more fun. While there are more rules to follow than other ATV tours I been on, they were reasonable and the ATVs they have are obviously higher tier and well kept so I completely understand the "no speeding and jumping". With that said, the tour does get up to pretty decent speed at times and the terrain is very hilly in Costa Rica so definitely for the precaution about speed. There are two branches you go to but if you're just looking to ride and enjoy some nature viewing this is definitely the tour for you. They do offer dirt biking so if you're looking for thrills that'll be the one to book instead of the ATV. All in all, this vendor is fantastic, I'd highly recommend.

Fun time riding through water and mud

This was so fun. The guides take you through creeks and roads, rain or shine, and the ATVs are easy to control. We visited two beaches where we got to get out and get in the water. Riding through the mud was so fun and the locals were nice as well. Don't wear your best tennis shoes.

My sister and I had an incredible time on our ATV excursion. Esteban was a wonderful guide who took good care of us, was really knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, and showed us beautiful views. It was such a fun day and I would highly recommend!!
