Good one hour tour. Recommend for most people; you probably traveled far, so worth seeing. Liked hearing the history of architect and construction.

We were given an expansive tour of the Opera House. Wasn’t able to see the main concert hall as rehearsal was happening! We had booked the meal option and the house canteen gave us a sumptuous dinner after the tour! They had vegetarian options too, which was good for us!

We were not able to see the main theater at the Sydney Opera House because of a private event. If we planned this tour in the future, we would check the Opera House’s schedule of events before confirming our tour date and time. The tour guide was good but we had a limited tour of the venue.

Great experience!

Our guide was very knowledgable and I loved all of her anecdotes. Sitting inside the theatre was fabulous for me. Our guide bringing to life the history of this architectural marvel made a world of difference.

Fantastic tour!

The guide was absolutely fantastic! It was really interesting to hear the backstory about the architects who built the opera house. The architecture itself is beautiful and the lunch after was just great. Highly recommend.

Great tour

Our guide was personable and very knowledgeable. Could hear everything he said through the headphones provided. The only con is you have to go up and down a lot of stairs so be prepared.

A Must See

We enjoyed the tour. Understand that the day you go and what is happening on the stages effects your tour. It was well worth the cost to get inside the Sydney opera house. The earphones worked great.

Insight into the construction and theatres within the Opera House

Very informative and a wonderful tour around the inside theatres in the Opera House. The history regarding the Opera House was fascinating.

Interesting behind the scene tour of the Sydney Opera House. Fun to be able to get up close to the roof tiles and learn about the history of the building. Not good for people who can’t climb a total of 300 steps!

A can't miss tour

What an impressive structure! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He really gave us a great overview and history of the Opera House.

Great albeit wet experience

Very informative. One of the a/v spaces was tight, not really designed for that purpose. Can’t go to Sydney without seeing the opera house up close and hearing its story.

Thoroughly Enjoyed the Opera House Tour

It was an excellent tour and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very interesting an impressive indeed. The only misunderstanding I had was that the lunch we purchased as part of the package deal wasn't at the restaurant inside the Opera House itself, but we had an option between 2 other restaurants outside the Opera House. If I had known that beforehand, I wouldn't have purchased the tour tickets with the lunches included.

A great value 1 hour tour

Really great to understand the history of such an iconic building. The guide was great. We even got to see a tiny moment of an orchestra rehearsal and ballet company rehearsing. A great and worthwhile hour tour. Highly recommended 👍

Fabulous Sparkling Opera House

to see all the effort and detail Joern Utzon and team have done and continue to do Amazing, love the Opera House. My only wish if time stood still we could meet the genius behind this and show him our appreciation. Not like the former NSW government.

The tour was very well conducted and the host Bella was magnificent. We got a chance to understand the history of Opera House, the ups and downs and efforts that were put in to build such a marvelous architectural beauty.

Wonderful experience. Entire Opera House is visited with related commentary started with the construction of Opera House, time taken, difficulties faced during construction to the legends who have performed here. Recommend to visit.

Must Do While in Sydney

So many steps so if you have bad knees like I do, beware! Loved having the headphones so we could hear the tour guide. This is a must do while in Sydney. Very reasonably priced and worth every penny.

Exclusive views to the opera house

With the tour, we are able to access some areas that were generally not open to tourists, including 3 of the halls and some balconies. The guide speaks very clear and the storytelling was amazing.

A good but not great tour

It was nice to see the inside of the opera house but I was disappointed that we did not get a more behind-the-scenes look, like seeing backstage of a theater or a green room.

Sydney Opera House & Lunch at Opera Bar

Grat insight to Sydney Opera House with an excellent passionate guide. We have been lucky to attend a concert & therefore to walk around the beautiful building gave us another perspective. We had the lunch deal included & we felt it was worth the money to include the your & lunch. Fab visit.

To visit Opera house is a amazing experience of life . Spending some golden moments out side and having some drinks was a unforgettable hours of my touring life .

Iconic, but nothing else

Most iconic place to visit in Sydney. But apart from this, we were a bit disappointed. It's easily recognized everywhere but when you are getting closer, it's smaller than you had already thought. And the famous "roof leaves" are far from their original white colour. In summary, it's an iconic building but nothing else

Pretty Limited Viewing Inside Opera House

This tour was OK, but not worth the time or money. My guide was knowledgable enough and started the tour timely, but we saw very little of the inside of the opera house. The main hall had a rehearsal going on so it was out of bounds. We visited the second largest hall, then the smallest one used for children's theater. All in all, this tour didn't give me much of a feel for the opera hall facilities. I was quite disappointed.

A must do activity when visiting Sydney

Inside the Sydney Opera House

We were delighted with the headsets: you had to pay attention when you were told about the volume, but they paid off by actually hearing the guide without crowding around them.

Absolutely Stunning

Seeing the inside of the two main theatres was the highlight for me. I would love to be able attend a performance one day. Each time I’d been to Sydney previously the Opera House had been closed for one reason or another. After living in Australia for over 20 years attending this tour was very special for me. It was wonderful to share this adventure with family visiting from overseas. I was surprised with the number of steps.

A great tour not to be missed.The tour guide was a bonus knowledge very good. The only negative there are a lot of steps around the Opera house inside and out. Great views of the harbour and surrounding area. We took the 11.30 tour on a saturday morning not to crowded.

The Opera House in Sydney is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an extraordinary visual charm and a rich history. There is a lot of time to take pictures and to get a quick drink at the Opera Bar as you marvel the views!

This tour was very educational and helped to understand why and how the opera house was built. The thought that went in to each detail to make it the perfect center for performing arts is amazing! Our guide Bruce was very knowledgeable.

very expensive for that...

very expensive for that kind of tour … we dont understand why Nicholas (tour guide ) keep on telling us that he needs to ask permission to enter this theater and the other small theaters .. we paid for this tour and people working there should expect us tourists walking around looking .. we did not see the MAIN THEATER .. so disappointed .. most of the things that he showed us inside … we can see that from the outside of the opera house .. unbelievable … we bought tour and dine at the opera kitchen food was horrible .. chicken burger for my husband (he said kfc is better ) ragu pasta for me (seems like its a left over from last night and just reheated in the microwave ) for $ 160 waste of money

Don’t miss it but know it is under renovation

The tour is great and our tour guide was amazing. I just wish the tour would have explained that the opera house was under renovation and you could not see it. I still would have booked it but it is not a tour of the main opera house until it is done in July. You do get some of it but not the main house. Super informational and I learned a lot!
