I'd recommend allowing at least a full day to experience the highlights and not feel too rushed. Combining the sand dunes, dolphin cruise, and time in Nelson Bay makes for a well-rounded and memorable day trip to Port Stephens.

Good tour guide

Gordon who is our tour guide and driver is very friendly and informative. We enjoyed the Dolphin tour and sand boarding, but the brewery trip was a little underwhelming as the drinks tasting were not that great.

Great trip

Great trip with Gordon leading us. Managed to see the dolphins as it was a good day. Best to book when there's been less rain recently to maximise your chances of seeing them. The dunes were great!

Port Stephens Tour

A very nice and good experience for me and my husband. My tour guide Yan explained everything to us in English so we dont feel left out since we can’t speak any mandarin and we are so thankful for that. He explained every details of the itinerary clearly to everyone with both languages(it wasn’t easy) so a big thumbs up for him! Even offered to take pictures for us. Thank you! Will definitely tell my friends about this tour package!

Port Stephen Day Tour

The sandsurfing at the sand dune was very fun. During the dolphin cruise, we were also lucky to see the dolphins up closed. We were impressed with Mr Yan, our tour driver cum guide. He was not only experienced but also very cheerful and friendly. Mr Yan has made our day tour an enjoyable one. We will definitely join Brighton Tour again.

Enjoyable trip with friendly tour guide

We had a wonderful trip with our friendly and helpful tour guide Yan. Trip not rush, just in a comfortable pace that we could enjoy much during the journey.

Fun but not social experience

Initially I had booked this tour as a solo traveller, however one of my friends decided to join me and that was the best decision ever. The tour was clearly organised but not very social. Sandboarding was fun but not very memorable. The dolphin cruise however, was amazing! We saw so many dolphins! The wine tasting was delicious but felt a bit rushed. Of course this will differ with each group. The bus was alright, nothing special.

Fun tour with a variety of activities!

Excellent tour. Loads of activities. The sand boarding was our favorite. Dolphin watching was fun and wine testing was nice and quick. Our tour guide was Gordon. He's great at his job. Highly recommended!

Excellent day trip to see a different side of Sydney!

Day tour with driver and guide Yan - excellent experience. Enjoyed the variety of activities including dolphin cruise, sand dunes, sand boarding, and wine tasting. Yan was super helpful and gave great personalized tips for visiting Sydney. Highly recommended!

Fantastic trip!

The entire day with three on the itinerary were thoroughly enjoyable! My teenage son enjoyed, which is a big thing! Sand boarding was fantastic experience! We were lucky to be able to see many dolphins too!

Good day out

Gordon who doubled as driver and guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Sandboarding, lunch (not part of the package), followed by leisurely dolphin watching made for a good lazy day trip. Wine tasting at the end was unremarkable but we bought a few bottles of the Darkside coffee liqueur.

Fun times with Gordon!

This was a nice trip! Wicked helpful to show you more outside the city. Gordon, our guide, was helpful with giving us information about the area and helping us arrive on time to each event. The only thing I would say is that sand boarding did not have a “no standing” description anywhere I saw online, I was looking for a place to be able to stand. The sandboaring is still a great experience though!

Fantastic day trip

It was a fantastic day trip! All the activities were good. Sand boarding was quite an experience! We could see so many dolphins! My teenage son enjoyed both of the activities! And the wine tasting was good too! The tour guide Mr Gordon was courteous and knowledgeable ! I would def recommend this trip.

Go with Gordon

Gordon provided us with informative knowledge all the way from when we got onto the bus until we got back. This enriched our experience as we were able to fully appreciate each destination of the tour. Additionally, he provided us with water and snacks for the long journey.

I had an amazing time on this trip, every aspect was excellent. Our tour guide Stephen was friendly and knowledgeable, the coach very comfortable. The sand boarding was fun and a great experience as was the dolphin watching. The stop off at the winery was a perfect way to end the day. I highly recommend taking this trip it won’t disappoint.

Wonderful trip!

Even though the weather was not conducive, we still managed to enjoy the trip. The sand boarding was fun and we managed to see some dolphins. Our guide and driver, Gordon was especially friendly and knowledgeable. He was a safe driver too. Thank you Gordon!

Wonderful outdoors experience !!!!!

I really enjoyed this experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I just had a great time. Tom our tour guide was really nice and funny. This is totally worth it. There is possibility that dolphins won’t show up but just the ride on the cruise is worth it because the view is stellar. The sand boarding was fun and the wine very tasty. And I found the price is pretty good for all that you get to go and experience.

Dolphins watching in Port Stephens

The weather is great, and I had a close look with dolphins. Sandboarding was even more fun than I had imagined, and the tourist guide is very friendly.

False advertising of tour experience

This was advertised as a Port Stephens day tour and at no point in their advertisement did they mention that it would be a bilingual tour. The driver told us upfront that he would be speaking first in Mandarin and then in English. However, we were given minimal instructions / information in English with the majority of the conversation being in Mandarin (also due to the driver’s limited ability to converse in English). The tour should then have been advertised as such so that people who cannot speak Mandarin do not join the tour. Would not recommend this tour

Apply sun block as the uv of sun is strong

Mandarin tour guide Mr.Gordon is Good and Punctual. Tour is fantastic, it just time a litter bit too short. Sandboarding is pretty fun. Dolphin is so cute. Grape wine test is prohibited age 18 and below.

Port Stephens fun tour

The sand boarding was so fun and the desert view was astonishing. We managed to see a dozen of dolphins too. Tour guide was helpful and friendly. Recommend the tour for families with kids.

Amazing!!

Wonderful, Highly recommend this experience. Sand boarding was so much fun prepare to be covered in sand for the whole day though. Of course the Dolphin tour was beautiful, be sure to pack spare clothes and a towel if you intend on sitting in the Boom Net and potentially being close and personal with the dolphins. Special shout out to Gordon who was our tour guide and he was full of so much knowledge of Sydney, Australia and other parts of the world, Very thankful to have had him guide us. Very informative and overall a beautiful day. Only thing that was a little bit of a bummer was only spending 20 minutes at the winery, felt the wine tasting was very rushed and you don't actually have time to see the beautiful winery.

Port Stephen + 4WD / Sandboarding

Coach was great, comfortable seats. Alfie was a great tour guide as well. The dolphin watching at Port Stephen was amazing, and the 4WD and sandboarding were so fun. My family and I enjoyed our time.

Unforgettable journey & Perfect Experience

This is our first trip to Sydney. Thank you Gordon for giving us an unforgettable trip. This trip is highly recommended. We went sandboarding in the morning, had enough time for lunch at noon, and went out to sea to see dolphins in the afternoon. I am very happy and will recommend to more friends to participate.

Really great trip to Port Stephens! Our tour guide Gordon was brilliant, he gave some really interesting information about the history of Sydney during the bus drive. The sand boarding was beast! Definitely a must for the thrill-seekers. We saw heaps of dolphins, some of them with pretty rough scars. Great tour overall, would highly recommend.

Dolphins galore!

Great day trip from Sydney - does take the whole day. Sand boarding was fun - we also saw camels! On the Dolphin boat trip we saw multiple pods of dolphins close-up. Gordon was very informative and friendly - recommended!

Good trip. I think it is deserved. We went to the desert, saw a lot of wild dolphins on the sea, and finally tasted wine at the winery. It was a very fulfilling trip.
