This will be an atypical recommendation. I booked this trip in the low season and I was the only reservation for that day. Instead of canceling, this company worked hard to find me a similar trip with another company and literally handled everything. The customer service was top notch and I have no doubt this trip would have been great.

Perfect day

Small group, perfect weather, great walks and awesome guide! We saw many beautiful things including a Lyrebird, Black Cockatoo, waterfalls and spectacular mountains,

Picked Up The Wrong Michael

This could have been an excellent tour. But the guide picked up the wrong people at my hotel leaving us standing there for a while until I called the tour operator. They eventually came back and picked us up but this put the tour behind schedule. Adding to the time issue was the Good Friday traffic. We were not able to do all we wanted to do on the tour and we got back ~3 hours late eliminating other plans we had for late afternoon / evening.

Blue Mountains is amazing. Katya, our driver/tour guide was great, so knowledgeable about the area and very nice. Best burger I had in Australia for our lunch break. Great experience.

Great Hike and Wildlife Tour

Yella was terific, he picked made sure everyone was happy with the tour and paced everyone when hiking Blue Mountains. Yella gave us the option to separate from the group and hike a different trail that was more difficult for most on the group. We saw quite a bit of waterfalls and had a great day hiking the harder trail. We also saw penguins, koalas and and kangaroos at Featherdale. We were able to pet the Joeys!! Definitely a must do for those who enjoy hiking!!

The Guide was great. She loved her job and made everyone feel comfortable. She made sure that everyone could handle the sometimes steep uphill climbs so that we all got to see the best sights. The scenery was awesom even though there were showers throughout the day and some low fog.

Good small Group Tour

Great tour of the Blue Mountains. Small group tours are the best. Guide was both knowledgeable and personable. Would have liked to have spent more time in one of the villages in the area to see the different shops.

Great way to experience Australia away from huge tours!

On the morning of my tour, Sydney was experiencing torrential rains. Despite hopes that the rain/fog/mist would eventually lift, unfortunately that was not to be - in spite of this, Jelle did his best to ensure people felt like they got their money's worth from the day. Understanding that he was offering a tour that advertises hikes, Jelle came up with a plan to allow anyone who wanted to do a hike the opportunity to do so. Fortunately, myself and one other person on the tour that day were up for the adventure and we were dropped off with instructions at the start of a trail - he thought it would take us about 90 minutes, and sure enough myself and the other hiker got to the end of the trail, where the rest of the group was waiting, in about 100 minutes (we stopped a few times along the route to take in what we were able to see through the fog). While that ended up our only hike of the day (though an offer for a second hike was on the table if we wanted to do it), I appreciated that the weather, plus a tour group featuring a number of people who may not have been up for hiking even in ideal weather (it's an open question whether a few of them even glanced at the tour description), were largely to blame. I've got no regrets about taking this excursion (no one can control the weather, and it made for a "fun" story!) and have no doubt that with better weather, this would be extremely enjoyable. You do stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park which seems to be a popular spot for many tours given its location en route to the Blue Mountains, but after that we were in spots away from the bigger tour buses, which is something to appreciate for sure. Absolutely would recommend this excursion to others, BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE OPEN TO THE IDEA OF HIKING! If you just want to leisurely see the sights, book something that will just drive you around all day so you can look at things. For those that want to get out and experience this part of the world you likely wouldn't otherwise experience, it's a great choice.

Dingo tours way to go!!

We had an amazing day with Katja as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and curtailed our tour as requested. The day started out foggy so Katja had to quickly adjust our route thankfully the skies cleared up as the day went on so we were able to view all!! I highly recommend this tour and Katja!!

Blue Mtn Feb 15th tour

Enjoyed the Featherdale Wildlife park and the hikes were fun and beautiful. Katya was a great guide!

Low value

The tour was disappointing mainly because the Blue Mountains were completely fogged in. In retrospect, the tour should have been cancelled. Also, the lunch arrangement was suboptimal. The operator arranges for lunch at a small restaurant where there were not enough available tables. Also, the menu is restrictive. We would recommend that the tour stop for 45 minutes in a township with 2-3 restaurants, and let the people decide where and what to eat.

A great day trip.

Steve was a fantastic guide and full of knowledge that made the trip very interesting. It was a nice day trip away from the busyness of Sydney.

Blue mountain tour

The tour guide was great. He was very patient with us. Took us to out of the way places, showed us some amazing hikes and outstanding views. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommend

Dune, our tour guide, is amazing. Attention to details including water, finding great parking, bathroom breaks, getting us in ahead of crowds, taking us to special stops and a fantastic restaurant for lunch. He has a wealth of knowledge and very entertaining- highly recommend!!

Blue Mountain Beauty

Such a beautiful place. JELLIE (sounds like yelle) took us to some places other tourists dont see and he timed our arrivals for attractions for times that were before the crowd. He takes care of ordering lunch (delicious) and has a vast knowledge of birds and cultural stories. Great tour to the blue mountains.

Great value, Tremendous experience

Thoroughly enjoyed the drives to and each tour destination. Our guide, Dune, was warm and engaged on a personal level with each of his 10 guests. He insured fairness in seating by rotating who sat where in the van to ensure each couple had the opportunity to sit in the preferred seating. Great exercise, views, lunch, and a treat for the ride back to Sydney.

Cracking trip

Jelle had a tour guide drop out so [seamlessly] transferred us to Sydney Adventure Tours instead. It was a great trip apart from the weather - which failed to fully cooperate - but we saw what we went to see and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Small group of 7 pax plus our guide so easy company too

Our guide was great. The weather was rainy, so we didn't get to "see" many of the sights through the rain, but that wasn't his fault. There was an accident on the highway, so we didn't eat at the normal lunch place, but the back up had tasty food.

A magnificent day in a magnificent mountain

A great option to get away from the crowds. Really enjoyed the hikes off the beaten track in the magnificent mountain range. I was fascinated by the insight into how the eucalyptus forests bounced back (not all the wildlife though, sadly) after the 2019-2020 mega wildfires across Australia and into the fire management practices of the aboriginals.

Excellent tour of the Blue Mountains with knowledgeable guide

Fantastic tour of the Blue Mountains, via Featherdale Wildlife Park (only a quick stop at the latter for an hour but it was enough to get around the place). Blue Mountains were great. Our guide, Jelle, was hospitable, extremely knowledgeable, humorous and really accommodating of requests from others in the group. He read the group perfectly and was really easygoing. The tour avoided most of the tourist hotspots and opted for other well-placed lookout points or short walk excursions. Lunch was great too. Seeing a couple of the one-star reviews here... I booked through Dingo Tours website and knowing it was a small group and small business put in a few alternative date options in case. I checked in via email a day or two before and communication was excellent - really clear and open. None of this felt like a hassle to me and all the comms were very professional. Don't be put off by the less good reviews; this was one of the highlights of my trip to Sydney and, given the small group, it was a great chance to chat to others across the day.

Blue Mountains a must when visiting Sydney

Despite bad weather our guide Katia was super attentive and we had a wonderful day trip to Blue Mountains. The scenery and walks were spectacular

Great Tour with a Great Tour Guide

Andrew was our driver and tour guide. He was very informative about what we were seeing, where we were going, and the history of Australia as it relates to what we were seeing. He was helpful and patient when we were going a little slow on our hikes. Overall, we would highly recommend Andrew and Dingo Tours.

Terrible Guide and experience.

Guide was not knowledgeable about the area we toured. He owned an art gallery and did tours as a way to make money. Examples: He indicated that there were no termites in Sydney area and thus those were not termites or termites mounds - wrong. Also that he didn't think there were any Koalas in the Blue mountains ( thousands of Eucalyptus trees say otherwise). He had to stop to pick up water... so we were late leaving Ferndale. We changed our trip to accommodate the tour... what a mistake. One of the 2 ladies was limping and with a cane... so we were slow and always waiting on her. We had maybe 20 minutes at the Mt Tomah botanical Gardens because we were running so far behind. We still ended up being 1 1/2 hours late getting back to Sydney. Only had time to pick up some sandwiches at a market and get back to the hotel to do laundry and pack. Worst tour I have ever been on

Fabulous!

Excellent full day with great guide and definitely best in small group. Beautiful Blue Mountains in glorious weather. Visit to Featherdale and the Koalas was amazing. Would recommend this tour as guide was friendly informative and we loved the Turkish bread for lunch! Thank you!

Excellent tour guide Mr. Dune

Highly recommended ! All thanks to our friendly tour guide, Mr. Dune. He has made this tour an unforgettable one! Although, the weather wasn’t a good one but we did experience different kind of scenery and we had a lot of fun!

Best way to see the Blue Mountains in a day

Great day with Jelo of Dingo tours who provided great insight to the various points of interest at each stopping point and as a small tour you get to places that the big buses cant get to. I highly recommend this tour

You can’t go wrong with a small tour

The small group tour is ideal for sneaking your way in and out of some of the more scenic places on this tour of the blue mountains. Ian was our tour guide and he did a great job explaining a lot of facts about the blue mountains and doing all of the driving. We only had 12 people on our tour so it was nice and small. We hiked and walked so it was a great mix of activities

Tour forgets to pick us up!

The tour operator FORGOT to pick us up! We waited for 20 minutes & finally called to ask when they were coming. He said he totally forgot about us. He asked when we booked - I think hoping we were a last minute booking that got missed, but we had booked 6 Weeks in advance!

Disappointed

Our guide was not good. He tore up the plants in conservation areas and was a very unsafe driver. The van used was unclean (had cigarette hole burns and was visible dirty with no AC). Some of the sites we visited we great so I’d recommend this experience but not through this provider.

Excellent tour to see the stunning Blue Mountains National Park without crowds

This was a well planned and coordinated day and we very much enjoyed it. The first stop, Featherdale zoo is a treat, getting to feed the animals early before many other guests arrive. The animal exhibits were good and very visible for the most part. Great way to see Australia's iconic and unique animals. Blue Mountains National Park is stunning. Our guide, Andrew, was very engaging and provided great commentary throughout the day. The hike to the waterfall was beautiful. Be sure to bring a jacket for the winds! Overall, this tour was a really great way to see this beautiful national park from our Sydney hotel.

Pictures don’t make justice

Picked up on time at hotel. Featherdale was really good. We got there early and essentially was empty, getting close and personal with wallabies and kangaroos is so much fun. Avoided large gathering of people at Blue Mountains. Our guide Dune was very helpful in finding the best spots to have the best views and to take pictures. Overall, it was an incredible experience and would highly recommend.

A day in the Bleu Mountains

We just had a great day with our guide Dune! He brought us to so many beautiful places, gave a lot of information and we had a great lunch. Don't forget to bring your coat in the winter as it's cold there, but Dune even has a few extra coats in case anyone gets cold. I would definitely recommend this trip. Thank you very much for this great day. Worth every penny!

Van broke down, but company took care of us

I will start by saying, we did not complete our entire tour because our tour van broke down. We made it to featherdale park and on our way to the Blue Mountains the van broke down. Featherdale Park was great, you definitely get some close up shots to Koala’s and you get to feed all sorts of kangaroos and wallabies. we only 5o minutes to spend here on this tour and that just isn’t enough if you’re an animal lover. Side note: I went to Taronga zoo the day before and that is probably the best zoo I’ve seen. You get a close up to kangaroos and koalas amongst other animals as well. Featherdale was a tad bit better in a sense you can feed and get very close to kangaroos and you don’t get that at Taronga. When the van broke down, the driver/tour guide was extremely apologetic and It was no one’s fault. We opted to walk bus station and take the bus to Blue Mountains ourselves. I gave 5 stars because our guide was on time, very nice and knowledgeable, and the company refunded us in full very quickly.

Wonderful Experience

Our guide was very personable and offered much information during the tour. An adjustment had to be made on the fly because there was an accident reported on the road ahead, and he took us to a very scenic location. Pick up was on time as promised. There was a total of 6 persons in our tour group which allowed us to have a close interaction with our guide.

Best tour I did

This was the best tour I did in Australia and NZ. The guide was nice, told us a lot about Australia/ Blue mountains history and also about the flora and fauna. We could see he was passionate about the animals and plants and very engaging and welcoming person. Can only highly recommend the tour - it was really worth the money

Blue mountains

Jelle was a great guide. He had just flown in from a month long tour in Western Australia. Even though he had rough travel himself, he arrived to pick us up and did not miss a beat. We really appreciated the planning that went into the day. He timed things so as to miss large crowds and give a more private experience. It was a small group, and he shared lots of interesting points, cultural notes, stories, and history. It was an amazing day. We highly recommend Jelle. There are a couple of negative reviews. I have no idea why because it was an outstanding experience.

Glorious Blue Mountains Off The Beaten Track

We were looking for a Blue Mountains tour that did not just concentrate on the main tourist attractions. This tour definitely delivered. We enjoyed a circular walk around the Jamison Valley and visited some beautiful parts of the Blue Mountains that are definitely off the beaten track. Most of the overlooks we visited, we had to ourselves. Our guide Jelle was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna as well as about the history and culture of the area. We came away feeling that we really had experienced the true Blue Mountains.

Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide took us safely from site to site. Always felt like we had plenty of time to take in the view or activity and never felt rushed. Over all a great experience that was well worth it!

Blue Mtns in the rain!

Unfortunately it poured rain and the mist prevented us from seeing the Blue Mountains at all. The visit to the Featherdale Nature Park was great (could have used another 1/2 hr) and the tour guide attempted to make the tour enjoyable by taking us to a lovely village of Leura.

Jelle is the best!

We had a great trip. Jelle was at our hotel a few minutes early, had a nice vehicle, and a great agenda. We decided to book the private tour for just the two of us and it worked great. No lines or extra pauses. We like to hike and be outdoors so we liked all the stops he chose for us. The weather was perfect, and the visibility was good, so the Blue Mountains showed off. Jelle is also well-versed in history and in the culture and current issues in Australia and answered all my questions as a novice to Australia. He also knows all the local foliage and birds. He also helped us make a list of things we will enjoy in our next cities and even a return trip to Australia. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to tour in Sydney or Blue Mountains!
