Well organised and well paced experience to the Blue Mountains

Our guide Fiona delivered an excellent semi-guided experience to the Blue Mountains. She provided insights, history and stories when relevant, while also giving us space to soak up the experiences. Each stop had sufficient time to explore independently without rushing us.

A rainy day in the mountains.

Unfortunately the day was very wet and no views of note. The guide did his very best to keep morale up but everyone was rather bedraggled by the end. A few comments for organisation. Bus was comfortable. The lunch stop was a bit rushed. What would help, given the team cannot legislate for the weather, would have been to send out an email re wet weather clothing the day before. None of us were well prepared sadly, particularly re footwear. Still enjoyed the waterfall.

Irene is the BEST!!!

This tour was amazing but it could have been a disaster. The clouds came down early and blocked the views but thankfully our tour guide, Irene, knew they would clear before the end of the day. Irene made the tour informative, fun and worth it all. The sights obviously were impressive (Instagram worthy) but if we couldn't have seen a thing the tour would still have been a good time thanks to Irene. Highly Recommended!!! -AM

Great day out

Lovely day to the Blue mountains. Feeding the kangaroos at the start of the day at the zoo was a fun experience. We had lunch at The Red Door cafe in Leura, which was a great find, delicious soup. The stop to see the view of the 3 sisters was cloudy, but by the time we got round to Scenic world the clouds had lifted to reveal a lovely view. Irene our driver was informative and delivered all informative in an enthusiastic and friendly manner

Staff Is The Greatest

While I earlier rated the tour sub-par, SSTA staff was excellent in finding and returning my lost cell phone. I am still disappointed with the content of the tour, but can't fault the operator. They went well beyond the call of duty helping me recover my phone. I won't hesitate to book with them again but will be more careful where I go. Thank you Sight Seeing Tours Australia.

Disreputable Tour Operator

Do not use this tour company. The driver was a no show. A call to the number to see what was going on was answered then dropped. Follow up calls got a voicemail saying it was outside of business hours only then to least the business hours during which time we were calling. They suggested reaching out via email and social media but also no response. After waiting for an hour we gave up. DO NOT USE. Disreputable company

Blue Mountains trip

Really good trip, with lots of different parts to the trip. Relaxed, helpful driver/guide. Long day but worth it for amazing views across the Jamie's on valley and 3 sisters

Fabulous tour guide

The guide/driver Les was fantastic. We had a wonderful time and a very enjoyable day, despite the rain and mist which meant no cable or train ride. Les went out of his way to make sure that he took us to interesting places where the visibility was better. All with good humour.

One day trip from Sydney to the Blue mountains with Irene.....lol Alice

We had a fantastic time and we were able to see and do a lot for very little expense. What really made the tour A+ was Irene aka "Alice" from your biggest fans Steven and David from USA.... Thanks again for a wonderful day!

Amazing trip

The amazing views, and the bush walk, we didn’t go on the cable car rides. Where told they where really good thou.

Great Blue Mountain tour.

My friend and I had a great day out on the Blue mountain tour. Booking was straight forward and easy to navigate. Details of the itinerary were very accurate. Day began with an early morning pick up at a pre arranged hotel. We were picked up by a very bubbly tour guide/driver called Irene. She was very informative and quite witty. During the tour she shared with the group some very interesting details. First stop was Sydney Zoo. We were treated to some excellent didgeridoo skills by one of the zoo's guides. We had a break for lunch in Leura, the onto Katoomba for pictures of the breathtaking Three Sisters spectacle, along with stunning views across the valley. Return to Sydney was via a ferry trip from the Olympic Park to Circular Quay. ( at your own expense ). All in all a great day out.

Not for those who want to see and respect wildlife & environment

Not as advertised. This is advertised as a day tour of the national park, but in reality, it was a day tour of the Sydney Zoo, a dinosaur theme park for kids, and a shopping center. The only national park we saw was exactly 20 minutes we were granted at the crowded visitor center at the end of the trip. For those who want to actually see the Blue Mountains, you will be told you have that option, but buyer beware, they fully expect you to stay with the group and the alternate options are not safe or practicable--and definitely not worth the money. Example one: I have zero interest in seeing incarcerated, sad animals in a zoo, but the zoo was added into my tour at the last minute. I said I was not interested in doing a zoo, but instead of refunding me so I could book another tour, I was told I could visit nearby parks and cafes while the rest of the group was at the zoo. It turned out the zoo was in the middle of an industrial park (pictured), there were no parks or zoos--only highways, fenced off areas, and private property. So, I spent a sweltering Sydney summer morning standing around in a parking lot--this was a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Australia that I spent years saving up for. The last thing I wanted to be doing on one of my precious few days in Sydney was fighting heatstroke in an industrial estate. I called to complain and ask for a refund, but was told no one was available to speak with me about the issue and also that when they recommended the 'parks and cafes' for people who didn't want to visit the zoo, they had not actually been to the site and had no idea it was in an isolated industrial area. So clearly, they were recommending alternatives without having any idea of what was actually available. Ultimately, I was refused a refund and refused accommodation. Example two: when we arrived in the mountains, we were dumped at a theme park with hundreds of people queuing and hundreds of cars driving around. We came to see the mountains, not attend the theme park, so we were told our "option" was to walk 30 minutes down a busy road crammed with cars with no safe pedestrian walkway to an abandoned and locked information kiosk--from there you could access a handful of lookout points. Directing visitors to wander around industrial parks and busy roads seems so completely irresponsible--Tripadvisor should really stop promoting this company, it is a serious injury or death waiting to happen. At the very least, it is false advertising and given the major changes to the itinerary at the last minute, I should be due a refund. Really horrible--truly the only low point in my trip to Australia and seriously unnecessary. The cherry on the cake was another last minute change to the itinerary that had us unceremoniously dumped off in the middle of nowhere at the end of the tour leaving us to pay for a ferry back to Sydney. Super inconvenient and weird. Why pick us up in city center only to drop us off in some industrial area miles from the city? So bizarre. If you are looking to actually experience nature and wildlife this is NOT the trip for you. I ended up using another company the following day for a true eco-tourism experience and it was so much more enjoyable--it was geared for visitors who really care about the environment and animal welfare, not forced interactions with caged animals, shopping, and amusement park rides. NOT AS ADVERTISED and completely unhelpful staff. This is intended for non-nature people with lots of kids looking for cheap amusement, not adults with respect for Australia's beautiful wilderness. Hard pass.

Beatuiful nature, poor service

Beautiful nature was combinated with a weird guide who put the AC on max cool after the group got wet, came back to the meeting point 10 minutes after the suggested time, saying no sorry or anything to us. Moreover, at the end of the tour said no thank you, nor good bye . It was disappointing.

Great views!

A great day out, the views were spectacular. Got to see the main sights of the blue mountains and had opportunities to take great pics. The only thing to improve would be adding more detail onto your website. Firstly we stopped off at the Sydney zoo on the way to the mountains. Then on the way back we were dropped off at Sydney Olympic park and told to get a ferry back to circular quay. None of this was included in the tour description, I would suggest adding these details on to your website.

Bellissimo tour, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!

Bellissimo tour. Abbiamo scelto il luogo di pick-up più comodo per noi, la guida ci ha accolti e spiegato la giornata. Abbiamo fatto tappa allo zoo dove abbiamo potuto assistere a una presentazione sugli oggetti aborigeni, dare da mangiare ai canguri e vedere koala e altri animali in habitat grandi e ben tenuti. Arrivati nella regione delle Blue Mountains abbiamo avuto abbastanza tempo per mangiare e fare qualche acquisto per poi andare verso la scenic view (biglietto a parte ma non necessario secondo noi!) e fare una bella passeggiata nella foresta. Vista delle Blue Mountains meravigliosa anche senza prendere la gondola, cascata molto bella e aria fresca delle montagne. Al rientro 2 ore di viaggio in bus per poi prendere il traghetto da Sydney Olympiques (biglietto a parte ca. 10$) e fare il rientro con vista spettacolare sull’Harbour Bridge e l’Opera House. Ci si può anche fermare ad altri porti!
