Wonderful adventure

We had a great time. It was very educational. And learned a lot about the rainforest and got a good history lesson of Queensland, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. Amber was a great guide.

Great tour

Saw loads of wildlife including various frogs, bats, spiders, geckos, and even an eel and giant earthworm. Was a great night for the glowworms, saw loads. Tour guide Adam was great and so was the cake!

Had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide was really friendly and helpful. She gave us a lot of interesting information about the place and extra information about gold Coast which was fun to know. Our tour guide Chriss was really encouraging and enthusiastic about the tour and it motivated us. We encountered various small animals and saw the glow worms during the tour. Glow worm evening rainforest tour

Beautiful trip with a fab guide. Alex was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We managed to see lots of creatures during this evening tour & the glow worms next to the waterfall were just magical!

Great change of pace from the typical night life. Amazing experience being surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest and wildlife. The glowworms are really magical. Our guide Alex had great knowledge and insight of the area, and made it feel very safe but still fun. I highly recommend if you're looking for more of a wind down evening that's still fun.

Beautiful glow worms, waterfall sounds and delicious cake

This is definitely a tour you should include into your itinerary if you are into nature walks and see no cool bioluminescent wildlife. Daniel was a great guide taking us through the rainforest and providing excellent explanations of the flora and fauna we encountered. Additionally cheesecake I had at The Manor was delicious!

Great experience

Great experience! Cheese cakes and Mystery cakes were yummy! Glow worms were so beautiful Probably good for kids to visit as an education purpose as well.

Interesting night tour.

It was very interesting to see the Rainforest at night. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us informed with what we were seeing and how it got there as well as some history on the vegetation. Unfortunately not as many glow worms as we expected. It was fun.

Interesting and unique experience

I had a great time on this tour, saw heaps of glow worms and some other critters along the way. Our guide Daniel was excellent - super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. 10/10 tour guide, although unwilling to eat the glowing mushrooms for some reason…

Evening rainforest walk

It’s one of the kind experiences. However, it’s too dark to photograph the glow worms and there are not too much to see. The guide is wonderful.

Enjoyable way to spend an evening

Amber was a fabulous guide, entertaining as well as very knowledgeable about the creatures that live in the rainforest and the rainforest itself. We were lucky to see lots of wildlife, different spiders, lizards and the 3 p’s - pademelon, possum and the crowning glory, a platypus! Saw a few glow worms, not a huge amount but the headlights from the nearby road could be the reason for that. Amber had a lot of interesting knowledge about the lifecycle though so well worth it. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Don't waste your time or money on this

Biggest waste of time I've ever experienced. Tony spent more time and energy trying to make sure we all knew HE USED TO BE A ROCKSTAR, HE WAS A ROCKSTAR FOR 50 YEARS, HE TRAVELED THE WORLD AS A ROCKSTAR ALSO HE HAS BEEN IN LIKE 3 MOVIES BUT MOSTLY HE IS A ROCKSTAR than anything else. There was also some baiting of deadly spiders. There were mentions of eels, platypusses, and geckos, but didn't see any. Saw about 10 gloworms total but only momentarily because shockingly, the toddlers that some inattentive parents decided to bring with them didn't like riding around in a van and walking slowly and carefully around a forest in the middle of the night, well past what should be their bedtimes and even more shockingly, adding a bunch of sugar from the cafe to the mix didn't help.

Great tour with interesting information!

We loved this tour! Our guide Jamie was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area, he took the time to stop and point out really interesting little sights and creatures along the way. He was very quick with answers to questions and gave interesting information about other sites along the Gold Coast. The only suggestion we would have is don't bother with stopping for cake and coffee, it wasn't really needed, and we felt it just took time away from the actual tour.

Not Worth The Money

For a tour at $109 a ticket, I expect more than a twenty-minute walk through the rainforest, one sighting of glow worms, and a homemade communal jug of hot chocolate. Our group of four were excited about this tour as we'd brought international friends for the first time. The disappointment began in the very rough and uncomfortable bus ride up to Mt. Tamborine. We learned then from our male tour guide, whose remarks were often brazen and snarky, that the moonlight would dull the glow worms' visibility and therefore we would be unlikely to experience the tour properly. He was incredibly right. In the end, we spent only twenty minutes in the forest with faulty torches. The tour guide spoke more of a poisonous plant and trapdoor spider than he did the glow worms. When we actually came across a glow worm site, their light was barely visible with virtually nothing to see. I understand this is largely due to the moon's fullness, but the tour should not have commenced if the experience was going to be obstructed by this event. The promised cake and hot chocolate at the end of the tour were almost laughable. You would think a cafe would have proper barista hot chocolate rather than one big jug of instant chocolate powder with bubbles better suited to a bathtub than frothed milk. Forget the lactose-free option for a member of our group who is dairy intolerant. I wasn't even surprised that they ran out of one of the cake flavour options despite having numbers beforehand. I will recognize that the tour guide was knowledgeable and communicative, but overall this experience was extremely poor. Barely a glow worm to see with disappointing sustenance provided. For added measure, this tour was originally advertised as being three hours long. We were back in Surfer's Paradise in under two hours. Due to our poor experience, I cannot recommend this business or tour. $109 is a complete rip-off for the service we received. We would not be back even if the price changed to $50.

Nice tour

We had an enjoyable time with our tour guide Tony. He made the experience more valuable with his anecdotes and entertaining stories. We weren't able to see much wildlife during this winter time but saw some glow worms! Overall a nice relaxing tour!

Unique experience

Friendly and informative guides; enjoyed the fabulous cake at the historical Manor; breathed in the crisp and invigorating rainforest air; marvelled at the unique beauty of the glow worms among the waterfall. Wonderful way to spend an evening.

Thoroughly recommend

Thoroughly recommend this trip. Enjoyed by myself and my teen daughter. Cake was lovely and the walk was incredibly interesting.

Mellow easy couple of hours

First. my two teen boys loved searching for spiders and such in the rainforest. It is very dark and slippery so wear the right shoes! The guide was nice but my main feedback would be that he really only spoke to the few people closest to him. If you weren’t right behind him on the trail. You missed what he was pointing out. Dessert on the mountain was a nice touch

While the guide was OK...

While the guide was OK (but couldnt share much insights), the travel time was more than the trip itself. Stopover for snacks was good.

An evening trip with family

It was a nice trip into the wilderness, not too far from the Metro. It’s an evening trip and fit quite right for those after the Theme Park hours. Had a great experience. The guide was nice and knew what he was doing.

Great tour, great guide.

Amber is a very knowledgeable guide who is enthusiastic about her subject. The glow worms are a fantastic sight. Amber was very knowledgeable about both the glow worms and the rain forest showing us all the flora, fluna and wildlife of the rainforest. The cake and coffee before we started was a nice touch. There are 110 ? steps down and back up!!! We would have recommended the trip to a friend but although his mobility is reasonable he can't cope with steps.

Magical

From start to finish, the lovely manor we stopped for coffee and desert the friendly staff, so polite and our guide was wonderful. Saw many forms of wildlife loved the night walk to the glow worms then that beautiful waterfall at night Was magical

Our tour guid was lovely...

Our tour guid was lovely and really made our little girl feel included as she was the only child on this trip. We got picked up from the front of our accommodation which made this trip so much better as we are from NSW so sturuggle finding our way around. We all loved seeing all of the different wildlife and being able to take our time and have a look around as we were walking on the track. The information that our guide told us throughout the trip was great.

An unexpected Gem of a tour.

It was a fascinating, informative and very enjoyable small group tour. Just the right size. Steve, our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the rainforest and the flora and fauna we encountered along the way. I now know to keep away from the gympie-gympie tree. The length of the walk was just right. The glow worms were a magical experience in such a beautiful spot. Such a shame we couldn't capture them in our photos. We loved stopping along the way at the Manor for our dessert, which was delicious. The rainforest was cooler than expected but luckily we did bring warm clothes. It was great to have the acknowledgement of the traditional owners of the land too. I would really recommend this tour. Our 11 year old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did.

Short tour and over priced...

excepted to be interesting with longer tour, as i was only there for 30mins. the tour guide seemed a little bit rushed and have nothing else to talk about. It needs a bit more adventure and i excepted to go to at least 3 different rain forest. I could of done this tour all by myself. $100 was way too over price.

Duff is the best!!

Duff is the best !!! Super passion about his job and funny . The forest trip is great, the trapdoor spiders are impressive. Glow worms are so beautiful like living in the dream.

Duff was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about the native flora and fauna. We lived seeing the glow worms it was a tremendous tour. Highly recommend this tour.

A Fun New Experience

Great little activity for anyone looking for something new to do. Myself and my partner had a great time, and our tour guide Duff had plenty of dad jokes locked and loaded to keep the vibe light and entertaining. The cafe was lovely, and the dessert was delicious, just wish we were given a little more time to enjoy it. The glow worms are a little underwhelming, and the only other animal we saw was a trapdoor spider. The tour was still worth it for something new and fun to experience, but I wouldn’t go in with high hopes of seeing a lot of animals.

Our tour guide Steve was very informative and had great banter with us. I learnt a lot whilst also having a laugh in the middle of the pitch black rainforest. Lots of things to see and hear and the glow worms are a real highlight.

Unique experience

It was very cool to see the rainforest at night and to see glow worms and spiders. The atmosphere was a little flat at times - based on other trips I’ve done locally, the guide could have done a bit more to get the energy up, but he was informative.

Glow worms were amazing. The forest work walk at night gives you whole new appreciation for the forest. Steve out tour guide was very informative and answered all our questions. Steve was a a fabulous tour guide and would recommend this tour and Steve as a guide.

A Glowing Experience

What a fantastic experience. Our tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He went out of his way to ensure everyone on board was made to feel welcome and included. He has an extensive knowledge and a passion for Rain Forrest. We are thrilled to have completed this tour and highly recommend to those who want to experience Nature at night in a Rain Forrest at its best

Great experience would do it again !

Our tour guide was Duff and he was great and funny, he had lots of knowledge about the area and we loved seeing the animals along the way during the walk, especially the glow worms at the end. Bring a jacket if going in winter was a little cold but refreshing. Thankful that our tour guide went out of his way to drop us back to our resort. Thanks for a great tour!

Dress appropriately

Had a great time with Marc. Very knowledgeable and eco friendly guide and encouraged. The ride was a little rough. Don't wear shorts, it gets cold there so dress appropriately for warmth (ar least in July).

Very good tour

Lovely friendly tour guide, Steve. Amazing rainforest experience with the glow worms & waterfall being better than expected. Just disappointed that they couldn’t pick us up from our hotel, which was actually on the pickup route and not out of the way. Not a hard thing to do & would make it a more professional service.

The tour guide was more than knowledgeable and really seemed to love the job that he was in. Tour guides name was Marc. Really enjoyed the night walk, refreshing, soothing and relaxing with easy walk and sights to see

An enjoyable experience

It was an enjoyable experience, we learned a lot through walking through the rainforest and since it had rained a lot in the past few days we could see a lot of glow worms. The tour guide we had also took us to see the whole of the gold coast. The cake was also delicious, and our tour guide also played a few not-so-funny pranks but they were still delightful!
