The highlight of our time in Indonesia

We did the tour with Rizky in early June and it was an incredible experience. Rizky was a very knowledgeable guide. He helped us get to some really great spots ahead of crowds and helped take a lot of stunning night time photos. Although the treks were tiring, the views were completely worth it! Rizky also provided us with a lot of insight on Bromo/Ijen, as well as general thoughts on Indonesian culture. We can't imagine a better person we could have had to lead our tour! In general, the tour was very professionally handled and everything ran as per schedule. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable 1 day trip in Ijen

1. The English/Mandarin bilingual tour guide-Gatra(李子雄) was so great that take care of us so nicely. His language skills, experience, and enthusiasm are the best. 2. The driver- I dont even know his name but he’s so hardworking and kindly. It’s not an easy job to drive a round trip between Surabaya and Ijen within 24hr! 3. The travel agent-Vera was also nice to cope with my requests even there’s an accident caused by the local religion activity. Which means we need to reschedule all plans. 4. Ijen trip is definitely worth visiting, such as blue fire, volcanoes, blue lake, etc. Although the path to the peak is a little bit difficult to those who seldomly doing exercise.

Best trip in Indonesia

Mario was the best tour guide we could have asked for!! So friendly and informative, he really made the experience so much more special. The tour itself was also incredible and everything was so smooth along the way. Couldn’t recommend this tour and Mario as a guide anymore. 10/10 experience, wish I could do it again!!

Awesome time in East Java with team Faruq and Agus 😎

We had a great time traveling to Malang, Bromo and Tumpak waterfalls thanks to 'Cheap Bromo'. Our tour guide Faruq was awesome throughout the journey. I recommend Faruq and Agus (driver) to anyone who is planning to travel to East Java.

A highlight of our 6 month travels!

We cannot recommend this tour enough! Mount Bromo was the best view we have seen out of our 6 months travelling and seeing the blue fire at Ijen was such a unique experience! Our guide Ikhsan was incredibly friendly and knew the spots to go to in order to not be with the crowds which made the experience all the more special - thank you Ikhsan! The lack of sleep is definitely worth it for this tour - a must for anyone to book!!!

Great 2D1N Bromo Ijen tour!

I feel so lucky to have Ubay as my guide in this trip! Although climbing Ijen was quite demanding, my tour guide provided great support and care. It was a long climb to the top of the hill, but the view from the top was worth it. Accommodation, food and transportation were great. I really recommend this tour.

Awesome Java Experience

An awesome experience. The guide was very understanding and accomodating of our needs. Bromo was good but we enjoyed IJEN was much better. Especially the view of the blue fire. The guide also taught us bit of bahasa to help us with our trip ahead. I strongly recommend Hishaam.

Trista’s Terrific Tour

We met Trista and our driver bang on time at our pickup spot, they were both so kind and full of energy to begin with, so late in the day and this energy snowballed across the entire trip. We are so grateful to have had such hospital tour guides and they made our experience 10/10. The tour itself as I’m sure you already expect was truly amazing, the Bromo sunrise was gorgeous, the crater was astonishing and the Ijen crater blue flame hike was the best hike I’ve been on in 5 months travelling. The whole experience was perpetuated with amazing local knowledge from Trista and the other guides who taught me a lot about Javanese culture which was such an unexpected delight. We ended our travels with this, and I’m so glad because it was a great way to finish our south east Asia adventure.

We had such an amazing time with Cheap Bromo tours on our 2D1N expedition! Our guide Trista was amazing and made us feel comfortable and confident with the trip. Food at the stops was great and the car ride to and from places was comfortable (managed to sleep most of the time!). I was initially worried about the hike to the Ijen Crater however we had a lovely local guide called Dora who helped us along the way. We are not experienced hikers and made it to the blue flames just shy of 4am (started at 2) and made it back up to the top of Ijen to see the sunrise (5:15). We had the opportunity to take lots of rest spots on the way but to be honest the hike was not that strenuous! An unforgettable experience to mark our time in south east Asia 🤩

Our tour guide took good care of us and brought us to many amazing photo spots and helped us took many beautiful photos! :) The tour itinerary was well planned out too :)

Amazing views if you go early

Views on Bromo is amazing but do listen to your guide if you want a better shot. Rizky is a photographer hobbyist so we left earlier than usual to get unobstructed views. The crowds came 30 minutes later and they were all jostling for a clear view whilst we had the whole vista to ourselves, unobstructed! On Ijen, do walk fast, faster than the hordes as the blue flames are small and the viewing platform can only fit 30 people tops. Hundreds descend at the same time on sometimes single-file routes to the crater which causes traffic jams. Do head up earlier and climb faster if you wish to avoid the hordes of Chinese tourists!

The trip to Bromo and Ijen was phenomenal. Rinda was a very, very good tour guide for us. She was always friendly and courteous. We had a lot of fun and would do it again. Our driver Johannes also drove very well, we felt safe. So did all the guides who took us to the attractions. Many thanks for the quick coordination and easy booking!

Unforgettable 2-Day Adventure at Mount Bromo & Ijen with Exceptional Guide Sugi

Our 2 Days 1 Night trip, starting from Surabaya and ending at Ketapang Ferry Port, was an incredible experience for my group of four friends. Our guide, Sugi, took excellent care of us throughout the journey. We began at Kingkong Hill, where we watched the sunrise over Mount Bromo before exploring its crater. Sugi shared fascinating stories and geographical insights along the way, making the experience even more enjoyable. Because of rainy and windy conditions at Mount Ijen, Sugi advised against seeing the blue fire due to the harsh weather, opting instead to trek in the morning when conditions improved. This turned out to be a great decision, as we enjoyed a pleasant trek to the crater, followed by a tea break at the summit. Sugi also went above and beyond by suggesting local food and desserts, taking numerous photos for us, and even helping a friend fix his shoes. His fluent English made communication effortless. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the tour and highly recommend it, especially with Sugi as your guide.

The best weekend ever

Honestly such a fabulous experience and everyone should go on this trip. Danang was such a great host and everything beat our expectations. The food was delicious and the hotel was beautiful. The trip was planned so well and 10/10 would recommend!

Two days (or should we say nights) at Bromo and Ijen

We had a great experience with this organisation. Everything was organized and planned very smoothly. We had fun with the guide, would recommend!

Wonderful expérience !!

First, a big thank you to the entire team! They were all lovely, helpful and welcoming as we never saw! Thanks also to our two drivers for their patience! We experienced a unique and completely private adventure (just the two of us) of two days with them and we can only strongly recommend. We were lucky as Bromo sunrise was a pure wonder and the Blue Fire at Ijen was as big as possible. Every team member of the tour brought their own experience by taking us to the best spots at Bromo (thanks Laz!) and by having the best timing for Ijen (thanks Dora!). Overall a 10/10 experience, definitely worth it!!

Igen Crater and Mt Bromo

Going to see the view of Mt bromo at sunrise and seeing the crater up close was awesome. Also getting to see the blue fire of ijen and the lake was cool too. Tour guide Rai was both funny and knowledgeable and was a pleasure having him guide us.

Trust me, it’s worth it

Shaam was an extremely guide who performed to the best of his abilities. He brought us to Bromo and ljen crater, where he gave us the best view points to see the mountains in all its' glory! He definitely goes above and beyond, making this trip an easy 10/10! We also became easily acquainted, new friend acquired hehe. Thank you Shaam for all the efforts, we truly appreciate it. 🩷

Once in a lifetime experience

It was a surreal experience to join this trip because we saw night sky full of stars which was insanely beautiful and the guide Shaam was very experienced to bring us to a spot that has great view and he took care of us really well and made sure we were safe and comfortable. Overall experience was memorable, not just the views but also the people that is in charged of the trip, the whole itinerary was well planned and communicated clearly. 10/10 highly recommended!!

Amazing 2 days experience

We completed the 2D1N tour to Mount Bromo and Ijen with our fantastic tour guide Ozy. Ozy was very knowledgeable about the 2 volcanoes and could answer any questions we had. He made sure we got the best views of mount bromo during sunrise and when the weather wasn't co-operating we moved further down the mountain to get a better view. The hike up Ijen is worth it as the sight of the blue flames wasn't like anything I've seen before. I would definitely recommend doing this trip to anyone as I really enjoyed the experience.

Amazing once in a lifetime experience

This trip was truly amazing and while I had to absorb the full cost as solo traveler, it was worth every cent. The tour is a two-day trip and first takes you to Mt. Bromo. We waited at down for the sunrise at the viewpoint but the weather did not permit a clear view that day. Still, I had a great time cruising through the sea of dark volcanic sand with a jeep, then climbing to the rim of Mt. Bromo. Our main driver was calm and professional. I could sleep while he drove. The guide Amar also did a great job. He was really knowledgeable and stayed on top of things. That played out on day two. We left really early morning due to road construction and arrived perfectly to climb Ijen. Yes, there are other tourists as the attraction is quite popular. You need to be able to navigate mountainous terrain for several hours. We got to see the blue fire in time and the lake as well. After the hike back to the base, the driver took me back to the hotel which was several hours of driving. I am really glad to have been able to experience this and can fully recommend the guide and the operator.

Mesmerising Sunrise view at mount bromo and blue flames and ijen

Super worthy tour package!! Manage to see the breathtaking sunrise views at mount bromo, take the milky way and see the blue flames in mount ijen. Physically abit tiring but it was ALL worth it with photos we manage to get! Our tour guide was also very helpful during our exhausting but fulfilling tour. He often goes above and beyond to ensure that we are ok/comfortable.

10/10 this trip is so worth it! The mornings maybe early but what a experience!! Our tour guide Rai made sure we had the best time, he knew all the golden spots. (and angles for the photo’s😜). He made sure we were there before the big group of people so that we could enjoy the views in peace and always have first row spot (no cue for pictures) He knows a lot of information so not only is he a funny guide, he can also anwser your questions. Also our driver yossi took such good care of us, driving so safely and if we wanted to stop somewhere. he always made us feel at comfort

Unforgettable Guided Trip to Unique Must-See Volcanoes in East Java

The sites are amazing to see in person. Our guide Ozy, together with the driver, were able to take us everywhere in the itinerary in a safe and timely manner. This avoided the hassle for my girlfriend and I of going to these places on our own. Ozy is very friendly, energetic and informative as well, he was able to answer all the questions we had when visiting each site. Additionally, he kindly offered to take photos of us and prepared some accessories like lighting and a tripod to help create more vibrant and stable images.

Great tour and food

They arranged one driver and one guide for this trip. Guide can speak Chinese very well, it was really surprised us. Our guide and driver made the trip pretty enjoyable, we went to the best spots and got a lot of nice photos. During the whole trip, they also brought us to some delicious local restaurants, which is important to us.

Great value and lovely guide

The trip was wonderful. The experience was surreal. Ubaydillah was such a lovely guide and explained to us everything about how the volcanos formed. He also helped us take a ton of pictures even though he didn’t have to. The trip was all inclusive and very good for value. We’re considering doing this trip again!

2D 1N trek

This was a great experiemce, many thanks to Ubaydillah(our guide) for making this such an amazing trip! The trekking around mt. Bromo was beautiful and our guide was very helpful in taking pictures to help capture the moment. Our meals, which were included in the price, were all delicious and it was great to have Ubaydillah to help us order and give us recommendations. Ijen was more intense trekking wise, but it was beautiful and well worth the trek!! Overall, I could not recommend this enough 😊

Really Nice tour with the best tourguide!

Its a verry Nice trip and I would 100% recommand! We had a lovely tour guide who had really the intension to make it the best for us. We laughed a lot with him. The Bromo was Nice but because of the weather we didn’t see a lot of the view of. If u go to the waterfall bring watershoes. They told is to wear flipflops but there are a lot of loose rocks, so one of us had a cut in her feet. The hotel we slept in was really good but the breakfast we got from them wasn’t really that nice. If you are scared of highs I would recommand to skip the ijen Vulcano. Its a hard hike down in the vulcano with loose rocks and nothing to hold on. You really see the depth of the vulcano.

We really enjoy our trip to Bromo and jen!! Vera was super helpful at the beginning when we book and ask about the details of our trip. Our tour guide Rizky is really caring and he took care of everything that we need, took nice pictures of us and organise everything, and even help us book the ticket for the ferry after the trip! He's also very knowledgable and resourceful, we enjoy every moment with him, really recommend booking this trip and having Rizky as your guide!

I recently went on a Bromo and Ijen Volcano open trip and it was an incredible experience. The tour was well-planned, and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area. The sunrise at Mount Bromo was absolutely stunning and something I will never forget. The accommodations were comfortable and the local food was nice. I highly recommend this open trip to anyone looking for an adventure in a beautiful and unique landscape.

Our tour was perfect. Even before starting, Vera from admin was very supportive and help us to reschedule our tour on short notice due to flight issues. Mario, our tour guide, reached out to us the day before the tour to arrange for everything. From beginning to end, everything was so well organised and went super smoothly. We had a really great time and felt well taken care of at any given moment. Mario and Takim, our driver, were great company. We had a lot of fun and were a little sad to say goodbye at the end. Mario is very knowledgeable about the mountains and the entire area, and showed us all the best views. We could not have asked for a better tour guide! Totally recommend!

Wonderful blue flames, great tour guide

Went to mount Ijen to see the blue fire, was a great experience with great views. Went with tour guide Ubay again after heading to Bromo with him, who made the experience even more memorable, as he was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Would definitely reccomend Ubay as a guide to anyone looking to climb Ijen!

Superb trip!

It was an exhilarating experience! A need to experience this at least once in a lifetime..the sunrise view of Bromo from King Kong hill was amazing and the climb to Ijen crater though challenging was worth it! Ubaydillah, our guide from Cheap Bromo was so accommodating and provided and excellent service all the way throughout. Friendly and helpful:) Even our driver Cosmas as well! Thank you both!
