Poor sized compounds

The zoo is well arranged and they have a reasonably good selection of animals although no proper reptile section , only a Komodo dragon that was hiding! My main criticism is that the compounds for the animals were too small. They needed more space to roam . There were plenty of trees and waterholes but I felt the animals must be bored with such little space. Better seen in the wild on safari. The zoo staff were caring but do we really need to see an elephant perform tricks?

最高に良かった、楽しみました❕ナイトサファリも見たので、満足でした‼️初めて見る動物もいてゆっくり2日かけての動物園散策でした、かなり暑かったので疲れましたが、とても良い思い出となり孫と行ったことも楽しかったです❗

The Singapore Zoo Fun.

The zoo is clean, has a great audience, is not so tumultuous, only reminds a Bush Garden 3.0 mixed with an Animal Kingdon more realistic version giving a 20 to 0. That means spending a day at this zoo will not regret the entry costs 49 Singaporean dollars.

The best!

Maybe the best zoo in the world. They displayed the animals in real and open environments. Only complaint is that we went to see the panda bears which were at a different zoo.

Full Day

It has been over forty years since last visiting Singapore Zoo, and it is as amazing as ever. What is more evident now is the considerable emphasis placed upon animal welfare and conservation rather than exhibition. This means fewer animals, but what can be seen, in a well-considered habitat, enables visitors to view a number of well-kept animals as well as receiving excellent education about each. It still also amounts to a full day’s activity.

Wheelchairs at the zoo

We had to use a wheelchair and were advised to arrive early as wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis. They are located near taxi rank approx 300m from zoo entrance. The tram is free for all - no need for a seperate ticket. Staff are considerate of wheelchair users. The zoo itself is a mixture when looking at accessibility - some areas are good - some inaccessible - some with token accessibility (e.g. penguins can be seen when underwater - but not when on land). The zoo is physically appealing - very lush gardens/settings.

Whole day trip is good with family. Varieties of animals with friendly atmosphere. Staff working at Zoo is courteous.

Good to see Singapore Zoo. Kids enjoyed lot.Tram facility makes easy for children to spend whole day memorable.Less vegetarian meals available at park.

Nice 😄

It was one of the best zoos I visited. I would say I got blessed with light rain so there was no crowd there. A well kept place, clean and nice though still too small for all the animals. It took me 4 hours to walk around and even enjoy a quick lunch. The entrance fee is a bit high but it still was a pleasant experience. I would advise to visit river wonders for fishes and panda and bird paradise on the same day. They are located near each other and you will manage to see all of them if you arrive a bit earlier. I would suggest 3-4 hours for the zoo and an additional 2-3 hours for other locations. It would be an intense day though.

The Zoo experience was great, well laid out and the animals are very well cared for, a great day out both for family and friends, a must.

Worth a stop at the Singapore Zoo!

We took a taxi to the Singapore Zoo as our lodging was located at Orchard Road- quite a distance with the MRT including transfers. The forecast was rain at least a good part of the day but we decided to go forth with our plans. One thing for sure is that the Singapore Zoo is ready for inclement weather such as rain as there are coverings all over the zoo so you don't really get too wet and also to protect from the hot sun at times. We were able to see all the animals that we had planned to see. During our visit in August, the Singapore Zoo was in the midst of celebrating the zoo's 50th birthday with a lot of colorful inflatable animals to take pictures with. The animals were arranged in environments that are convenient for us to see them- even through the glass windows. Make sure you check the schedule online before your visit to see what zookeeper talks and feedings of various animals you are interested to see and hear. They are very on time with these sessions and it is a great opportunity to learn more about species that are new to you. It can help make your visit to the Singapore Zoo more memorable. The signs and displays for the animals are whimsically and colorfully decorated to keep you interested to read them. The animals all appeared very contented in their enclosed environments. There was a shuttle bus that ran around the zoo but the lines were long; therefore, it was much easier to just walk. There are nice exhibits on the Hamadryas Baboon as you can see them playing around in their outdoor environment-- good to stop for a few minutes and observe their social behaviors such as grooming and cleaning each other, especially the moms with their baby. The Proboscis Monkey exhibit is also another nice one to see as it is a rarity that one can see them as they are endemic to the Borneo jungles. The exhibit is nicely arranged where there are plenty of trees for them to climb and move around. Their unusual large noses (adults) definitely are a sight to see especially when they are trying to eat. There were quite a few subadults as well and females as their noses appeared to be much smaller but still large for a primate. When leaving if you plan to take public transportation with the MRT, there are signs to direct you over to the Kaibab Shuttle that is necessary to connect with the MRT station. The bus ride is about 15 minutes and runs on a schedule of every 15-20 minutes. The cost is only 2S (about $1.47) a ride and you can uses your credit card for this transaction. Definitely worth at least 4-5 hours for a visit to this well-organized zoo in while you are in Singapore.

Great day at the Zoo

Amazing to see the Orangutan’s and White Tigers at Singapore Zoo, a fantastic place definitely a place to visit when in Singapore. The wild river experience was worth it to see the Pandas.

Discreet

We paid 60 euros for the evening safari! A delusion! Two hours of queuing to get on the trains that take you to see the animals. Four animals on the cross, some were not even visible. All for less than half an hour of tour. I don't recommend it!

Visiting the zoo!

Very diverse, great exhibits. The nature is amazing there. We feel that the animals are also happy to be at that zoo. One of the best zoo in the world!

The zoo gave us a slight disappointment after taste.

I have been to Singapore a few times in the past, a lot of changes since my last visit a few years ago. Regarding the zoo: Breakfast with orang outans was a good experience despite the price paid for this but honestly we were expecting a bit more value for money. Also the lay out of the zoo seems different since my last visit, less animals to see this time compare to other zoos I have visited which were smaller in size... I acknowledge the work done for wildlife preservation from Singapore Zoo and the sea lion show was very entertaining. We much preferred bird paradise though ( formerly Jurong bird park ) and I am deciding if I should go visit River Wonders...
