It's worth doing as something different, you do get a good quick view of the Merlion. The lady providing the tour on board was rude unfortunately.

Great ride

Went on duck ride. Was fabulous, seeing everything by land and sea. The lady gave speech was great too. Highly recommend it

Unethical!!

The taxi got us to ducktours but as we arrived, we saw an empty boat leave minutes before scheduled departure. when we got there, there was a sign saying they’ve moved. By the time we walked all the way to the desk, but lady said boat had already left and that’s nothing they could do to help. Not even put us on the next boat. But the boat that left was completely empty. Why couldn’t they wait a couple of minutes?

Worth it as an intro to the city.

The tour is worth doing as it provides the usual facts and figures as well as a way to orientate yourself within the city. It wasn't as good as some other duck tours we have been on around the world, the main issue being the difficulty hearing the guide over the bad speakers (contending with the loud engine) which in fairness was hindered by the language barrier (as accents make it harder to hear in such circumstances). The one point I would make is that it's really not hard to find them in the shopping centre - I have no idea why everyone complains about that, I guess other people think it's OK to be late even though the terms clearly state you should arrive 30 mins prior to the tour to check in. Which gives plenty of time for the 2 mins it takes to find them inside Tower 2 (don't just wait outside!)

No clear instructions on where to meet. Waited outside suntec tower 2 for 10 minutes after arriving at 11.50am. At 12pm went inside and after asking a few people found the ticket office. We ended up forfeiting our ride. Unfriendly office staff, not helpful. Going forward please make it clear where to meet.

shorter than advertised

The only negatives were that the entire tour was 50 minutes instead of the advertised hour and that it was very loud and we often couldn't hear the tour guide.

A fun way to spend an hour!

Have been on many duck tours in our travels......they are always fun and interesting. Since Singapore is so small, we were able to see most of the city and the views from the water were great!

Unfriendly and unethical

To be avoided strictly. We had booked this tour for 11 AM via Klook and the instruction said to report to Temasek Tower 2 (Suntec City). We reached the place at 10:50 am and waited in front of the tower and called. It went to an automated response. waited for some more time and when we enquired with someone at mall, they directed us to a small shop withing 20 feet of the entrance which was the place where we had to report to. The staffer "Dwayne"said we had forefited our seats and refused to provide his managers number. Eventually we got the managers number and the lady offered us 20% discount if we paid and booked again. They refused rides for a later time. I also observed that our seats had been sold to others when the ride returned at 12 PM. Duck tours took us on a ride for sure. Lost more than 160 dollars. Stay away for the rudeness and unfreiendly behavior to paying customers.

Great tour but can be made better

The Ride will be much more enjoyable if they could reduce the noise generated by the engine of the Duckor give a headset for the tourist.

Disappointed

Very disappointed, we, unfortunately, were caught in an unexpected road closure and our taxi driver assured us we would only be 5 minutes late. I rang but they wouldn’t hold a few minutes for us or transfer us to another time. As it turned out we were only 1 minute late but they wouldn’t give an inch, so ensure that you leave plenty of time to arrive.

Great fun and great photo opportunity if you have limited time.

Great fun! Plenty of time to take photos and videos of the key attractions. The guide made it an interesting and interactive tour.

Unusual

Great fun! Allow time to find the meeting point though, for us, it was not that easy to find. Wonderful commentary throughout, splash into the water then travel through the streets in an amphibious vehicle, definitely worth the experience.

It was fun. Couldn't really understand female guide. Seat was very cramped at front. Had good look at city from harbour. Bit of drive around. Would have been much better if we could understand more clearly

Nice experience and a unique view of Singapore

Nice experience with a unique view of Singapore from the river. The guide was very good and went in great detail about practically every building or significant spot we passed.

Big Splash!

We thoroughly enjoyed the hour long duck tour. It was great fun when we splashed in to the water and we got to see some great sights. The host and driver were very friendly also.

A must do in Singapore

Don’t waste your $$

This is so over priced and very disappointing we waited for sometime then the trip was delayed by approximately 15 minutes so we didn’t get our 1 hour as advertised we were rushed in the water as they hurried back to ensure they made up the time for the next trip as they are supposed to leave on the hour. Not worth the money extremely noisy you can’t hear the commentary and as we didn’t have the full time missed the experience very disappointed grandma and grandchildren. Don’t waste your money plenty of other enjoyable experiences for the children in Singapore for less

Duck tour

Well worth the noise from the duck to enjoy sites from land and water. Knowledgeable tour guide who encouraged interactivity. It a must when visiting Singapore for the first time.

Land to sea adventure

Having done the Big Bus tour previously 18 years ago we decided to do the Duck tour It was good to see the sights from both land and sea and our guide was very informative and very funny Worth it if you don’t want to hop on and off

Singapore . . . and More.

Firstly, Singapore Duck Tours has wonderful customer service, the kind you used to encounter more often but has gone out of fashion. Here's where that wonderful customer service begins: Singapore was our first and last stop on a 30-day trip to Southeast Asia. We arrived exhausted but ticketed for the next day on the Singapore Big Bus day and light tour. We were so tired, we slept through the day and missed our tours. I contacted Duck Tours and they kindly rescheduled us at the end of our 30-day trip. They could have easily said, as some businesses would, "Sorry. We can't do that." What did they say? "Yes, we can do that." So instead of a bummer end-of-the-trip day in Singapore (and maybe we would have bought tickets again), we got a warm and fuzzy from Duck Tours. As for the day tour, it was the best Big Bus tour I've experienced. (No, smart guys, this was not my first.) There are so many iconic landmarks in Singapore. To start, the Sky Park, on top of the Marina Bay Sands. It's compelling. You can't stop looking at it when it's within your field of vision. And when it's lit, it's pretty compelling too. There's the ArtScience Museum, which doubles as a lotus. The Gardens by the Bay, with their Super Trees. Our bus took us to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which includes the National Orchid Garden. The architecture! And the food! There are multiple stops with hawkers stalls. Go! Eat! You must eat! Our time was limited, but we felt we "saw" the Singapore we would have missed if we had struck out on our own. As for the (night)light tour, stores' Christmas decorations were still lighting up Orchard Road, and elsewhere. Our live tour guide, Edna, made our ride special. She told us much more than the recordings (which have their place) ever could. And we ended the trip with some live Christmas music and encouragement to dance. Well, some of us did and some of us didn't. I won't forget it. Here's what else I won't forget. And this harkens back to customer service. Of course, it was nighttime when we returned to where our tour started. I opened my wallet and searched for the proper bill (well, there weren't that many left) for a tip. In doing so, my cards (credit, debit, DL) fell out. But I didn't discover this until we were in the MRT station, headed to the airport. There we were, my sister and I, sitting on the floor, searching through all our bags, and who should I see (no, not Santa), but Edna, who became Santa-like, about to head through one of the entry gates. I called out to her and told her my situation. I asked her to contact the bus driver to see if perhaps my cards were left on the bus. Of course, at this point, I didn't know if the cards were on the bus or elsewhere. She said she would. And she even offered me money to get to where I needed to go. My MRT tickets were tied to my VISA, so that was no longer my go-to means of riding. Fortunately, I had enough to buy a new card (minimum $10). BTW, the MRT is all it's cracked up to be. Like most people, I was worried because of lost cards. And it was no way to end this wonderful journey. We made it to our gate. It was early morning (around 1:30). I checked my emails. What should I see (yes, Santa-like), but an email from Edna saying that our driver (Captain William), had found my cards. What ensued were emails back and forth about what to do with them. Edna had asked where to send. I wrote that it would be too expensive, to please cut them up. And then, and THEN, they sent me a picture of my cards cut up. If you are not convinced by now to take the day and night tour, you won't be. But you will be missing out. If you stay on the bus, it's like the table of contents for a very good book. And if you are fortunate enough, you will be able to stop and read all the chapters. Thank you, Duck Tours of Singapore, and especially Edna and Captain William. You put the icing on our Southeast Asia cake.

First time in Singapore Nov/Dec 2023

It was really fun and the sights were excellent and the cost was affordable !! When we’re back in Singapore , we will do this again !!

Customer experience

The guide is funny and engaging. The new location is better but should make use of the shelters more. But on Viator site, please state the currency as USD clearly.

Fun but…

While the experience was entertaining, we were assigned the back row, right by the engine. Therefore, we were unable to understand any of the commentary and didn’t learn anything. Super disappointing but it was fun to go from land to sea and back.

While boat hopping into the river. The experience of humping is very wonderful. Moreover weather was very good.

Dont go out in rain!

It was raining so hard, all windows were covered with opaque plastic. Hard to see anything. Your guide was good

Inflexible, stingy staff

To start, I have never left any website a bad review but this organisation really pissed me off so… We booked for a session at 4pm a couple of days ago, but because we’re tourists who are new to this country, we were not able to find the entrance as it’s at the back of a shopping mall (Suntec City), and therefore we realised we were going to be late. When I called the duck tours number and informed the staff of the situation and pleaded for a reschedule to 5pm, the lady told me that you either arrived on time or you had to rebook, which meant we had to repay around 46 Singaporean dollars (this website says 34.4 but that’s in USD). She also said that the website showed that the check in time starts half an hour before the departure, which it DIDNT show, and that tickets are unchangeable. Even though I continued to try seeking a solution really politely and nicely (not sarcastic I was genuinely polite), she did not budge and insisted that the rules are the rules. I fully understand that you are doing your job, but at the same time we PAID and CALLED beforehand to negotiate and everything you told us was pretty much useless. So what I don’t understand is what you lose from rescheduling two extra people who ALREADY PAID for this tour, when there is CLEARLY availability (I know this because the website showed availability). I know that there are rules and policies in place but EVERYWHERE else in this country so far have shown flexibility and generosity, so thankfully this isn’t a reflection of the whole Singaporean population, just you and your company. Honestly, I would not have done this review if the practices of this country is extremely rigid and robotic, but I am because I have experienced how OTHER, BETTER SERVICED companies are able to accustom to their customers’ needs better. I know I sound quite unreasonable and cheap but the fact that I apologised and pleaded over and over again for something that SHOULDN’T EVEN HAVE BEEN THAT BIG OF A DEAL just shows the terrible service you have. So, in conclusion, you made my first day in this country full of frustration and regret. Thanks bro.

Enjoyable and informative

The presenter is a lovely man with excellent English and very knowledgeable about Singapore and the history.

The Singapore Duck was so...

The Singapore Duck was so much fun. Started our journey on land then moved into water with a splash which gave everyone lots of laughs. We took in the sights on the water then headed back to land. The lady who did the commentary was lots of fun with a fun game thrown in. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different. The duck were used in Vietnam and 2nd world war so was an interesting insight to history as well

Easy and simple tour

It was on time. It was loud a bit but not a surprise. The tour operator werr very nice and pick up point is at convenient location across JW Marriott.

Best way to see singapore...

Best way to see singapore central business district. However, the vehicle noice is quite loud if you are sensitive to sound.

Fun way to see the main sites & get some history about Singapore.

Great way of being around the city... hearing interesting history as you go. Fun going in to the water... very slightly splashed... but with it being so humid it was actually nice!! Boat/ truck felt safe. Thank you team. 😊

Bad experience very rude conductor

We were not told we had allocated seating so we sat anywhere the extremely rude Indian bus conductor yelled at me through the microphone to move from my seat and humiliated and embarrassed me I asked why ,he just yelled and said Move! Had he politely come over and explained to me quietly and not through his microphone as he was only a few steps away I would most definitely moved.The bus trip was very boring you couldn’t hear the announcements properly. Definitely not worth the price!

The tour guide was brilliant: knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. The Duck is a great way to see the City.

Worth the Trill

The Duck tour is a short but exciting tour. The highlight has to be that 10 seconds where the vehicle enter the sea with a splash. Scenery is nice with many iconic buildings to take photos. The guide is able explain some facts about Singapore history and nice food nearby. Prices are a bit high. But the experience is worth it.

Quick Tour, great snapshot of Marina Bay, beautiful views!

Just the right amount of tour for us...gave us some interesting history, local culture and info, a lovely little jaunt in Marina Bay with great views and picturesque. For me a highlight, we got to see the otters by fluke I spotted them! And a little bit of land tour. Yes the vehicle is loud but its truck! This is great for kids too with some guessing games along the way.

Great tour you should do

It was great the tour guides were funny prompt on time they even called me down stairs and came when it was a tropical storm. They are absolutely wonderful

Experience is when the boat ride from land to sea and it a very nice view when on the sea. Captain and the tour guide very nice and know very well on the history

Noisy old vehicle passes on the water the Flyer and views of MerLion then back same route for short trip on land past a few Singapore sights. Commentary attempted humour. Hard to hear and understand all that was said. Quite a bit of repetition

Lots of fun

Had a great time on The Duck with my family. My 8 year old twins thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Edna was our tour guide and she was very friendly and informative. Lots of great photo opportunities and Edna even jumped in to help take photos of families. Great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Merliion was good, entering the river and the river perspective all around. It seems that’s insufficient # of characters

Nice experience the kids will enjoy

Had a nice time on the trip. Defiantly a unique experience that our 3yr old loved. He was actually the one who saw the vehicle on the road and pushed us to try it :-) Special thanks to our tour guide Wahab who made the whole experience better.

Disappointed they wouldn't wait 1 more minute

Because of horrendous traffic we were 1 min late getting there. They would not wait and we watched as they pulled out and left us behind. No refund. No other places. Very disappointed. Imagine the faces on my 2 children as we had to apologize for not going on this trip.

Family sightseeing!

A lovely ride around Marina Bay as the sun was setting. The kids loved seeing the sights with the added novelty of being on land and water. The tour guide was friendly and gave a good commentary but unfortunately he was hard to hear due to the noise of the engine. They drove slowly near attractions so you could get some good photos. We enjoyed our trip.

Unique experience but quality of guides differ

2nd time on the duck tour. 1st time was really enjoyable as we had a really good guide. He was friendly, very informative, have fun facts that even as a Singaporean I learnt a lot. He even conducted a mini quiz/gave mini token for first correct answer. He was really passionate about his job. First trip with my family was so enjoyable that I decided to bring my parents along for a 2nd time, unfortunately, the guide was just going through motion, and left out a lot of commentary especially for the 2nd part (city tour). But it was a very unique experience and could see many attractions from a different perspective (from the river basin). Went for the last ride (6pm) and weather was good. Need to book early as tickets will run out fast.
