A fun. close encounter

Our guide was well organised and it was fantastic to be able to skip the line. It was amazing how close you were to so many of the animals. The interactive show was also great. Definitely recommend this experience.

So disappointing

The tour organiser himself was very good, however we thought the whole concept of the night zoo most disappointing. I would not recommend anyone to bother with this.

Night zoo with a guide

Paul the guide made the trip memorable. Very easy to see all the sights with Paul’s help. Not having to wait in long lines is a must.

Excellent but Rushed

We really enjoyed this activity, but felt little rushed, would have appreciated longer in venue to complete the walk around park- was really excellent tour though, only marked down for timings

Disappointing experience

The night was OK but no more. On reflection it was rather expensive for what we got. We were picked up at our hotel taken to the zoo for the 'night safari ' then taken back to our hotel. The zoo is well out of the centre so having organised travel was great. The night safari consists of 2 parts. 1 a 30 minute theme park type experience in an open air amphitheatre displaying some of the animals whose movements were dictated by where the treats to eat were located. The morales and philosophy of the zoo are good but this part came over as a bit staged and unnatural for the animals involved. You then move to a series of trams that drive through a set route that lasts about 30 minutes with a pre recorded narrative that was a bit naff in places. It did not feel very safari like and overall seemed too commercial.

A zoo

It was fun, especially the show. However most of the animals were still lazy like a zoo. It is another zoo where you're going to see animals at night. We highly recommend doing the train ride. It takes you through most of it. You can walk the rest on trails for if you want to see a specific animal or just walk around. They try to feed the animals to get them moving but the animals are still lazy and not very active.

Short and sweet

The zoo is amazing but make your own way we were picked up nearly an hour late unfortunately the road to the zoo was blocked by an accident so we ended up having an just over an hour there so had to rush around & missed lots of the animals

Transfer Protocol Needs Improvement

The Night Safari Tour experience in general was very good (the tour guide was excellent!!!), however it started with a mishap on Viator’s part with the transfer from our hotel to the Night Safari location. Because of Viator’s internal miscommunication we had to take taxi and pay an additional $25 dollars out-of-pocket expenses to get there on time. Simply, because we weren’t picked up from the hotel even though we had a clear email confirmation from Viator several days prior of the event. We would still recommend this unique Night Safari Tour to anyone however with “a dose of caution” regarding the operation. Thank you.

On returning to hotel we...

On returning to hotel we told him this was not our Hotel...he insisted it was and prompt us off van. In between building garages. We ask a woman for directions and walked to our hotel

Enjoyed the Night Safari - Not the Transportation

The night safari experience was great however the transfer to and from was lacking. Our pickup was 20 minutes late, and on drop off, the driver had to return to the night safari to collect people that were told to go on another bus. This added an extra 20 minutes to our journey, but also the driver was mad, voicing his opinion to the person over the phone, and he sped over speed humps and drove erratic after this occurred.

A must try.

The tram tour was most impressive. A short walking tour to see rare animal was also good. The animal show was not so good. The food stores was packed with people queing to place order and it took 40 mins to get the dinner.

Great night out with Animals

Seeing the animals in their own habitat not caged and quite unaware of us passing by in the tram we did see lots of animals!

Average excursion to small zoo

Although we were picked up from our hotel on time, we then had to wait about 30 minutes for a feeder bus to join us, reducing the time available in the zoo. Travel time from the city to the zoo is about 40 minutes. The actual tram ride only lasts about 30 minutes and although we saw all of the animals, I felt we just wizzed pass them. It would be nice if the tram actually stopped at all of the animals for all of the passengers to take photos. How good a view you had of the animals depended on where you were sat in the train. The option after that was to walk the areas not covered by the tram. We did this quickly in about 45 minutes and it would have been nicer to do it more slowly, viewing the animals better if we had had more time. We chose this option over viewing the show. There was no time to do both. There was no time to eat as well. This tour would be better if there was more time spent at the zoo, enabling people to see and experience all the attractions at a more leisurely pace.

Good but poorly organised

Enjoyed the experience. The only bad point was the pickup from our hotel. Told to be at pickup from 545 driver didn’t turn up until 625, meant we were late getting to the zoo - blamed traffic and weather - surely that’s a norm for Friday night so change your timings! Guide Nicholas was great as he managed to book us into later shows so we could still do the tram and walk round the zoo but overall was very rushed

Urgent complaint regarding unreliable service and communication

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Unreliable Service and Lack of Communication for Nighttime Safari Tour Dear Viator and East Tour Vendor, I hope this email finds you well, though I must express my disappointment with the recent experience my family and I had with your services. We booked a Nighttime Safari in Singapore scheduled for 6:00 PM, and your instructions clearly stated that we should arrive 45 minutes prior to the tour. Regrettably, our experience was marred by a severe breakdown in communication. Despite our attempts to contact both Viator's chat support and the East Tour vendor, we were unable to reach anyone, leaving us stranded without guidance. No one from your team contacted us 45 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up at our hotel, forcing us to arrange personal transportation via Uber/Grab to make it to the nighttime safari park. Upon arriving at the park, we faced another setback. We waited for an hour, and the tour guide only showed up at 7:00 PM. Shockingly, we were not provided with the tickets needed to scan and enter the park, adding unnecessary stress to an already frustrating situation. To compound matters, the tour guide did not arrive until approximately 5:30 PM at the hotel, leaving us with no choice but to leave in a personal taxi to ensure we made it on time for our 6:00 PM tour. This lack of communication and punctuality is unacceptable, especially when traveling with children in an unfamiliar country. I urge you to investigate and rectify this situation promptly. Such failures in communication and service not only inconvenience customers but also tarnish the reputation of your companies. Boring

Super boring…not worth it. The bus ride back took over and hour and 20 Minutes. The Animals are ok but not worth the time.

Nighttime safari a unique experience!

Our guide was knowledgeable about the safari process - he got us in past the lines to the best seats for the show, and provided everything we needed to know to maximize the experience. Several of us opted for the safari trail rather than the tram, since it enabled us to see more animals. Although it didn’t rain during the tour, one should prepare for it. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Great trip except for hotel transfers

The guide and venue presentations were very good but the transfer to and from our hotel left much to be improved on. Late pick up, racing drivers, poor suspension on mini bus, waiting on side of the road for ages to consolidate passengers two buses into one

Poor communication

Tour was cancelled. Poor communication from vendor regarding cancellation. Received email the day before the tour indicating the tour might be cancelled. They would notify me by 12:00 pm the next day regarding the status of the tour. They never called or sent email. I ended up doing the tour on my own. I took the MRT subway and one connecting bus. Less than half the price of the tour.

Rather a children's thing

The guide was really not good, and on top he kept disappearing when we were there. Suggest that you highlight this as a children's thing. There also was a short lighight showtshow with some people dancing with lights hat the guide insisted that we see before we got on to the tram. But we were ther to see animals, not people dancing for 10 minutes with lights!

Nice but it was too dark to see the animals The animals show was very nice and I liked the owels very much

Wonderful visit, not to be missed. Amazing to see all those beautiful animals during the night. Park facilities excellent.

Excellent evening. Picked up on time & transferred in a luxury coach to the zoo. Excellent tram ride. We saw pretty much all the animals then walked through two of the zones for a closer look. Saw even more animals. Then a quick ride back to the hotel. Thoroughly recommended

Disappointing

We were picked up from our hotel and taken to another hotel to wait for a pick up. We boarded a larger coach an it took about 40mins or so to get to the night safari. On arrival we were told we had 15 mins to visit the loo and or have snack. We boarded the tram. 4 in a row. It was difficult to see much in the dark although the elephants and lions were clear. The constant use of phones to take photographs was intrusive and detracted from the experience. The monsoon style rain did not help. Once the tram got back there was nothing to do as we were told the show was not going ahead and we could not do the walk either due to the rain. We were not prepared to wait an hour for the coach so caught a taxi back to the hotel. There was no back up plan if the weather was bad and we did not end up with the full experience we expected. Truly disappointing!

Surprisingly Good

We wondered what you could see at night that would be interesting so we were very surprised by the entire experience. We took photos rather blindly but some were great! We were particularly interested in the narrative which added to the experience If we return to Singapore again we both agreed that we would do the tour again.

Disappointed.

The night safari itself was enjoyable, but getting there wasn’t great. The bus had seen better days, the seats were not secure and very uncomfortable. The guide was quietly spoken and I don’t think the microphone was working very well as I could not understand what he was saying, which was very frustrating. He did make sure that we all understood he would leave at exactly 10pm however and would not wait even one minute for latecomers. Disappointed.

Great guide and nice zoo tour

The guide we had was fantastic- helping with transportation, getting tickets, getting fast tram etc. The issue we had was trying to find out when our pick was, since no one called us or sent email as promised.

Good experience at night safari with guide Shiva

Firstly drivers were punctual. 2ndly the priority tram boarding got us onto the tram in less than 10mins. Thirdly enjoy looking for/at the wild animals rather than trying to get a good pic as ‘flashes’ are not allowed. Finally temperatures are slightly lower in the evenings which makes the walk around quite pleasant. Must add we had a great guide, Shiva 👏

Ok but a little disappointed

Not that close to most of the animals and the tour was rushed. Trip back to hotel very disjointed cabs guides left early

Our guides were very informative and helpful. We saw lots of animals. The creatures of the night show was a highlight. Okay

The Day Safari is much better

Can't see much at night. Cannot take photos..too dark. The only biggest advantage is cooler at night.

Night Safari - Singapore

We were picked up on time and transferred by bus to the zoo. The guide was informative en route. After arriving at the zoo we were taken to the buffet. Plenty of food and variety available. This was followed by the tram ride through the zoo. It was an interesting ride which enabled us to see most animals standing and moving which you don’t get to see through the daylight hours. The only disappointment was not being able to take photos as no flashes are allowed. The trip will live in my memory for a long time.

How the interesting experience

When I was child,I have been here before.I feel very happy because I saw lots of animals and I sit on the car.The most special moment was I saw the lion was looking at me and the zebra was cross me.I will go there one more time if I have a time.

Priority Tram is the way to go

I first visited the Night Safari back in 2004 and i was amazed at the improved changes they have made and continue to make. Their focus on sustainability and animal welfare makes it delightful viewing in their natural habitat. I would highly recommend using the Priority Tram option and the convenience of pick up and drop off at your hotel makes the experience so much easier, than using public transport.

Wonderful experience! Professionally organized by local tour operator

Transfer and guide were wonderful, everything well planned and organized. They pick us up right from our hotel, took us to gathering point nearby and then we changed for a bigger bus to go straight to the zoo. The night safari experience was definitely worth visiting and will be well remembered by my whole family for a long time...

Night Safari was great! Transportation arrangement was very smooth and having a priority tram seating privilege was really good. Such a memorable experience.

Waste of money

The guide we had made us do the walking part on our own. I thought the guide was supposed to do the walking part with the group.

Singapore Night Safari

The Viator pickup at the hotel, priority tram boarding and return to the hotel was perfect. I felt the safari was poor. Everything seemed staged. I would have seen more at the zoo. Good for children

Total waste of money.

I went on this trip after hearing from a friend how good it was. It’s not! I had booked the visit with dinner with Tour East. I was met by a tour guide at my hotel and informed the transfer to the bus was running late due to the weather - it was raining. Once on the main bus I travelled for about 40minutes to get there. The 2 tour guides on the bus were giving instructions and information but although using a microphone it wasn’t turned up very loud and I couldn’t hear what they were saying. When I asked them to repeat it, they did but their English was very poor. The dinner was average. I wouldn’t recommend this option as not worth the money. The weather was wet and the animal show was cancelled and then the light show as well. It was mention on the bus that this would probably be the case so I don’t know why they went ahead with it. The safari was just about passable. I did see some animals in dimly lit enclosures but to be honest you would see more at a zoo in daylight. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this tour.

A new experience

First time visiting the night safari. The weather was perfect, a little cool and breezy. Arrived at around 9 pm on a Friday night in early December, not much queue at the ticket office. The tram ride was interesting, they put lighting at the more interesting animals (lions, etc). After the tram ride, went for a little stroll on the fishing cat trail. My 8-year-old son was very excited to spot the animals at night. Would definitely recommend this!

Photos impossible

The low light makes photos, even at 6400 ASA, almost impossible. The animals are often difficult to see. We understand that this low light is necessary or it would not be a night Safari, but it is more of an experience than a photo opportunity. I would have given it 4 stars except that the large elephant with HUGE tusks was chained in place by the foot. He couldn't move. Shame on you, Singapore Zoo.

Night Safari

We enjoyed our experience at the night zoo. Booked priority boarding which was worth it. Lots of information provided on the way round and plenty of time to walk around yourself later. Not the highlight of our trip to Singapore. For us we felt like we were treated like children by the guide, she even explained how to cross the road!! However overall it was an efficient service.

Very Different

Zoo at night. Amazing. Three hours of unhurried experience. Thoroughly informative, animals roaming “free”.

Singapore night Safari... A must do

Really enjoyed the tour. I was very surprised to see all of the different animals from different regions. The male lion and male elephant were the most impressive. Great time!

I booked and confirmed this attraction and no one from Viator showed up to pick me up at my location. I had a limited time in Singapore and wasted an evening because of this. When I contacted them to find out what happened no one got back to me. I am very disappointed with their service.
