Great introduction to Singapore

A great 3 hour tour with Jon, explaining all the sights and sounds of Singapore. Lots of stops for photos and/or a quick explore.

There is no way we could have done this on our own. Excellent!!!!

We had the privilege to spend a day with Meng Teck as he showed us around his beautiful city of Singapore. He was thorough, patient and informative. I have a diabetic daughter and two hours into the tour, she realized she left some of her medicine at the hotel. Although it was out of the way, we back-tracked to get her medicine. For Meng, it was not a problem. He didn't say "Well sorry, we'll have to cut some stuff out of the end." He let us continue on right where we left off. We've travelled a lot, but in researching our trip, I found Singapore challenging. Hiring Meng was the best decision we could have made. Prior to our arrival, he asked about some things we wanted to see. He then made other suggestions and tailor-made our trip. It was perfect. He treated us to an awesome ice cream sandwich. It was literally an ice cream (ice cream) sandwich (slice of bread). So interesting. He showed us pictures of old Singapore on his phone so we could compare what it was like now. He never got tired of our questions or in wanting to stop for a water (it was hot). For lunch, he took us to a restaurant in Chinatown and ordered for us. We would have never found the cool restaurant he took us to. After a day with Meng, we felt comfortable navigating the city. This was one of those trips where you feel like you just spent a day with a friend. We hope to see Meng in the future and we would encourage all to use him for your trip to Singapore. Thanks Meng!!!

Singapore is amazing!

We like Leo! He made our trip to Singapore, much more enjoyable, as we got a great understanding of the history of the city and its people. Like most people, we did the hop on hop off bus, which was great, and it showed us a lot of geography. But Leo’s tour gave us a lot of the rich history and insights into this fantastic city/country that we will have never known just riding by on a bus. We enjoyed getting a better understanding of the history and plans for the future. We enjoyed his personal insights, his humor, and the way he approached our tour. The best tour

Leo is an amazing tour guide and taught us so much about Singapore. All of the stops he planned were fun and interesting. His local knowledge was way above our expectations and we learned so much! Leo was flexible when our travel made us late to the tour starting and was willing to stay later to accommodate which was so kind. Walking with Leo

Four of us took the Full Coverage Singapore City Tour with Leo on 26 Nov 2023. We had very full, fast-paced day with Leo. Leo was terrific at keeping in touch and adjusted his Tour plan based on what we had already seen on our own. This was a great way to see many of the Singapore sites, but beware, it is a long walking tour. I'm sure Leo may be able to adjust if needed, and he is very good at communicating, so feel free to reach out for alternatives if you think an all-day walking tour may be too much. At our request, Leo adjusted the tour times to begin after lunch and end after dark, in time to see the light shows at Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands. Terrific ambassador for Singapore with a wealth of knowledge about culture, geography and history. I would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time with HJ. He made sure we had food and water and were comfortable for the whole tour. He was very funny and informative and gave us great recommendations on other sites to see on our visit.

From start to finish Jon was a five star guide. Great communication prior to landing and efficient for airport pick up. Great tour with a great guide

We had a great tour of Singapore with HJ. We customized the tour a bit at the beginning which was nice and spent the entire day getting to know Singapore from both a tourist and local perspective, including checking out how public housing works on the country. In all I came away with a greater understanding of Singapore and it's people. Highly recommend this tour.

Private Singapore Transit Tour

Jon private Singapore tour is the best way to spend three hours during transit. My wife, myself and our daughter went on this private tour recently. Jon is knowledgeable and combines his commentaries with humour. He picks up on your likes and tastes very quickly and customises the tour for you that you actually end up seeing all that you wanted to see in three hours without feeling rushed. He was punctual, the vehicle was tidy and comfortable and went out of his way to help. His price was also better than the other ones we saw. Knowledgeable and friendly

Grayson was an excellent tour guide. He kept us moving without rushing us. He filled in walking time with interesting information so we learned a lot about Singapore in our time with him. I would definitely recommend Grayson to others.

Great city tour

We spent 7 hours on our tour with Grayson and it was a pleasant and informative experience. Grayson was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, accommodated our requests, and was a pleasant person to spend the day with. We saw parts of the city we never would have gone to on our own and got plenty of local insights and information. Overall, a much- enjoyed experience.

Take a tour with Leo! He’s the best

Leo was such a fantastic guide for my fiancé and I. We got to experience Singapore through the eyes of a local and it really helped us set out other places we could visit throughout our trip. Leo didn’t take us to the typical tourist attractions which we loved. He showed us the best places to eat and he was so friendly and proud of his country. Singapore with Leo was amazing!

Leo was flexible from the start--accommodating our travel schedule in every way he could. His stories were absolutely fantastic, and his knowledge of Singapore, the people, the culture, the history were completely fascinating. He led us through popular sites and sites that we certainly would have overlooked otherwise but ended up enjoying tremendously. A day in Singapore

HJ met us in our Hotel at 9.30 in the morning. As we had been to Singapore before he asked what we had already seen and to give him an idea of what we wanted to see and then we were off.\n\nHJ has a great knowledge of the city and showed us all we had asked to see and so much more including areas and things that as a tourist on their own would never see.\n\nWe had a great time and highly recommend the city tour with HJ and \nhave already decided next time we pass through Singapore to do the evening tour as we are sure there is still much more to see and would like HJ to show us\n\n\n\n\n\n

Highly recommend this at the beginning of your visit to Singapore

We took a full day tour with Richard on the first day of our visit and it was the best decision- I would definitely recommend this and him to anyone visiting Singapore! He gave us a fantastic history of the country and sites as we went along. As a native he brought a wealth of information as well as guidance on local culture and customs that was extremely helpful to us for the rest of our week long stay. Following our day with him we felt totally comfortable using the wonderfully efficient high speed rail system, as well as comfortable knowing best practices on how to use it. A very small example of this is when I went to take a drink of water while sitting on the train and he helpfully warned me- no eating or drinking on the train! (oh!!!) I also loved that our private tour with him gave us flexibility to stay longer in places we were more interested in, or move forward when we were done. If you're pondering a tour of the city- this is the way to start your trip. After our day with him we circled back to the places of interest for us, and he was also able to provide helpful recommendations for other activities. Can't say enough good things about Richard and this tour!

Excellent Singapore city tour

We had an 8 hr layover in Singapore and chose Jon to take us around the city. Jon met us at the airport, took us around to several sites and made our layover fly by! Our daughter wanted dumplings while in Singapore and Jon took us to an excellent restaurant which made her day. It was great having a private tour guide just waiting to take you wherever you wanted. At the end of the tour, he even gave us souvenirs to remember our trip. We highly recommend Jon and Withlocals tour company for anyone wanting to see Singapore with limited time!

Private Tour

We had an absolute blast with Meng! It was so well-organized from the beginning. About a couple of weeks before the tour, Meng had messaged me on WhatsApp to coordinate. Our tour was fantastic from start to finish: - Got breakfast at a place right around the corner from our hotel. The half-boiled eggs, buns, and coffee were so great that we went there for breakfast the next 2 days! - We did some walking around and got to see Merlion Park, saw a couple of temples, got a history of the Singapore River, Chinatown, Little India - Lunch was phenomenal and we had laksa for the first time. This was so good! - Mount Faber and Henderson Waves such a blast!! I would highly recommend this tour. Couldn't have planned a better trip. So much fun. Thank you, Meng!

Excellent Experience

We had a great time with Jon on our tour of Singapore yesterday. He is so helpful and friendly and boy does he know his stuff about this city. We communicated regularly during the planning phase of the trip and he was so accommodating to all of my requests. On the day of the tour he arrived early and was waiting for us at the hotel. His vehicle is large, super comfortable and immaculate. Before we headed off he confirmed all the places I wanted to go then we took off. He covered all my requests plus so much more. We visited special places that we never heard about that we that we loved and he taught us so much about all the places we visited in a fun and entertaining style. We highly recommend spending some time with Jon while you are in Singapore.

Fantastic city overview B4 check in on rainy day

Fantastic airport pick up and overview tour of Singapore before our 3;00 pm check in time at our hotel. Helped us to plan our stay and a great way to see everything in several hours. It was a rainy day so also a great way to see the city without getting totally soaked. Jon had interesting stories & perspectives to give us knowledge about Singapore’s history & architecture and neighborhoods. He had lots of great suggestions on eating, shopping, activities and even places to stay, as we were open to moving hotels for second half of week to see a new area.

Seven Hour Epic Tour of Singapore

A brilliant day full of contrast and culture with the excellent Greyson as our guide. We saw the old and new sides of the city, and explored the deluxe and and traditional areas, as well as some not usually seen by tourists. Greyson gave us just the right balance of his outstanding knowledge to make it fascinating but not overwhelming. We thoroughly recommend Greyson to guide you through amazing Singapore.

Enormous amount of knowledge

This was a fantastic tour, explored so much of the city at a pace that was achievable. The guide was amazing, he communicated an incredible amount if information not only on each point of interest but on Singapore's rich and complex history.

Not what it seems like

Both my friend and I were very disappointed with this tour. The tour guide he was very nice and shared some good history however I must say it did not meet expectations. We missed out on a few local snacks, e.g local ice cream and bread. We got one snack at little India which we had to share. 95% of this tour we walked which we were only notified on the day which can be difficult for tourists who aren’t use to the high temperatures. There’s were no interaction or activities with the locals like the photos shown so overall a very disappointing tour. We would not recommend.

Great time

My guide Leo was great. He was funny and very knowledgeable. He gave me a wonderful understanding of the culture, history and life of Singapore.

Fabulous and went well beyond what I expected. Saw most of the city in one day. My favorite was mount favor and Henderson waves. Also, all local food was so yummy!

Great Two Days with H.J. in Singapore

We were a group of four from Bulgaria and visited Singapore in February. We like walking tours with local guides, because we find that this is the best way to immerse ourselves in different places and cultures. Our local guide in Singapore was H.J.. He picked us up from the hotel, asked us about our expectations and interests and customised the two-day tour. H.J. showed some of the most iconic structures, places and buildings in Singapore - the "Gotham building" with its majestic courtyard, the MICA building, the National Gallery and the Victoria Theatre, Haji Lane, Clarke and Boat Quays, the Marina Bay Sands Observation deck, many "green" buildings, rooftops, bridges, parks, gardens, bars etc. All of these were even more impressive on the inside. We did a walk through the 500-metre-long sky garden on the top of the Pinnacle building with its stunning views over the city. H.J. took us to the URA Centre, where we had the opportunity to learn about and explore Singapore's exciting planning, urban and architectural journey. H.J. also arranged for us to visit the Supreme Court building and we learned a lot from him about the Singapore judicial system. Throughout the tour H.J. took many wonderful photos of our group and then sent them to us. It was a truly high-class private service with a very knowledgeable and reliable guide. Thank you so much, H.J., for showing us not only the main sites, but also so many other special and distinctive places, which make Singapore such an amazing and vibrant metropolis! I definitely recommend H.J. to everyone who would like to see and experience Singapore in a different way. I especially recommend The City and Public Housing Tour to everyone who is interested in architecture and urban development.

Great Day

It was our first visit to Singapore. We were very lucky to have such a knowledgeable guide as Jeremy. He was very friendly, talkative & funny. We walked around main sights which was great way to see Singapore as well tasted lots of great food. Jeremy gave us as well many recommendations for the rest of our stay. “With Locals” Tour in Singapore with Kwan...

I have used With Locals in Italy, so when we were going to be in Singapore for just two days, I decided the best way to see it was, With Locals... Kwan met us promptly at 9.30am and our fantastic day started !! We were taken on a walking, train, bus and car tour around Singapore & Kwan's knowledge was amazing !! We saw so much, the river & bridges, the old and new buildings, the beautiful park which has the most amazing trees, the old warehouses on the river, we had lunch in Chinatown, a quick look at the shops there and so much more...we had so many photos taken and Kwan's sense of humour shone through the whole day. Later in the afternoon Kwan drove us to Sentosa which was sensational. He kept telling us about having coffee and toast, we didn't quite understand, so at the end of the day he took us and we tasted the delicious toast of Singapore. Fantastic day which we thoroughly enjoyed and I have no hesitation recommending Kwan and With Locals.

Great Singapore tour with Jeremy Chow

Experienced a great day-long tour with guide Jeremy Chow. We met him close to our hotel (Fullerton), and he then took us around the city by foot and by MRT for food, drink, historical, social, and cultural commentary about Singapore. One aspect we liked about the tour was its flexibility: if you wish to stop for a snack or a drink, then it's fine to do so. Throughout the tour, Jeremy provided excellent, friendly guidance and commentary on Singapore. We felt like we got a taste of the place. Difficult to pick a favourite element out of so many. Having lunch and a beer in an establishment frequented by the locals, i.e., old, retired guys, was great. So too, the tours of the various ethnic enclaves. Thanks Jeremy, for all the fun and insight!

WOW

Meng Teck showed me around all parts of Singapore and had historical pictures with him to better explain how Singapore changed. It was impressive. Meng was simply amazing and extremely knowledgeable of every corner of this magnificent City/State. I highly recommend Meng Teck on your next trip to Singapore.

A Wonderful and Educational Day in Singapore with HJ

HJ is terrific, a real pro! We spent a full day (9:30 am to 5 pm) on a walking tour of all the wonderful neighborhoods of Singapore, from Chinatown to Little India to Kampong Glam. HJ is very knowledgeable and personable and offers up a wealth of useful and fun facts about his city. He took us to the top of several neighborhood buildings where we got a Birds-eye view of both the immediate vicinity and the whole city (one from the rooftop garden of a 50 story apartment building near Chinatown). We saw things in a single day which would have otherwise taken us a week to explore. It was a week before Chinese New Year and he took us to several markets in two different parts of the city where the local citizens were buying up all their many gifts for the holiday. We ended the day tired (covered 6+ miles walking plus a bus ride and a subway ride) but thrilled by how much we did. You cannot go wrong hiring HJ as your tour guide. You will be happy you did!

Top Notch Tour Guide- Extremely Knowledgeable

HJ is amazing at showing you around his city/country & speaks perfect English. He is very knowledgeable & passionate for the whole island. He works with you to make the perfect agenda & on the fly willing to change it based on your interest. We did some tourist locations such as Chinatown, etc. but overall within all of those he showed me local hidden gem spots plus gave so much knowledge about the culture, history, government, food, people, systems & just overall Singapore. He knows all the best local food spots plus recommend to your food pallet. Spending the full day with him in Singapore is an experience that won't be forgotten. He truly provided such an exceptional experience and more pulse is so patient & organized. You can't go wrong booking with HJ at all!

Half day City Tour

Our guide, Jon was great. He picked us up from our hotel, for our personalized, chauffeur driven tour of the City. He was a guide, historian, cultural scholar, food expert and critic, story teller and entertainer. At the end of our sightseeing tour he suggested an itinerary for us to continue with for the remainder of our stay, and then noticing my wife's mobility issues he organised a wheelchair hire to enhance our sightseeing. He provided transport for us on one of our excursions, and for our return to the Airport. Thanks to Jon, we saw far more of Singapore, than we otherwise would have ... we cannot praise his professionalism and service highly enough ... definitely five star.

Accessible tour and just what we wanted!

On our previous time in Singapore, we had toured many of the highlights. This time we wanted something different, a visit to some of Singapore's diverse neighbourhoods. And that it exactly what Jon gave us! I am a part-time wheelchair user, and he carefully worked out routes that accommodated my needs. We visited Little India, the Arab Quarter, and Chinatown, and Jon's interesting and clear explanations gave us a much greater understanding of the city. We highly recommend Jon as a guide.

Great introduction to Singapore

Leonard was our guide for the day and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and gave us a great background for our few days in Singapore. The tour is walking with some bus and subway transfers so you learn how to use the transportation system. We saw all the major sites in one day and from there you can decide what you want to see later in more detail. It’s a long day but well worth it.

The Best Singapore Private Tour

I had a great experience visiting interesting places in Singapore on 16 October 2019. I explored The Chinese Quarter, Little India and the Muslim Quarter. I had a fantastic tour of the Tooth Relic Temple. It was spectacular. I enjoyed a tour if the Hindu Temple and had a blessing. I had a pleasant stroll around the Bay Area taking in the sites. My guide Jeremy treated me to a traditional Singaporian lunch. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very attentive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a short stay in Singapore. Tour of Singapore

We spent the majority of the day with Leo on a 7 hour tour. My wife and I had a great time. Leo is a very pleasant man with a good sense of humor. He intimately knows about the history and future of Singapore. Leo is knowledgeable about the politics, commerce, history and botany of Singapore.We had many interesting conversations about how the city functions and he has a wonderful knowledge of the botanical specifics of the region. He was able to pick some local spices for a tasting. He is very proud of his city and it shows. He guided us through the metro and bus transfers. What can I say to truly give our guide Eliza the praise she deserves for our time together in Singapore! She is amazing...so enjoyable, informative and fun!! We felt like we were with an old friend from the moment we started.
