From Singapore: Private Kuala Lumpur guided day tour + SKY DINING

Not worth the time and money.

Positive – I had a chance to visit Malaysia, driver that picked me up at the hotel and took me back was very professional and courteous. Negative – Tour guide - was pleasant, however most of the information I was able to obtain about the country and city was because I asked. This is a long road trip, the tour guide should use some of the time on the road to explain, history, culture, interesting facts etc.. anything about the country that would make the time on the road enjoyable and educational. Food – Breakfast/Brunch, food and place was average not memorable. Dinner at the Kuala Lumpur tower buffet below average plus the restaurant is very outdated it felt old and musty. Driver in Malaysia – Although we ended our two 2 hours earlier than planned in KL, the driver was speeding on the way back passing every car and truck on the road tailgating the cars and bullying the car in of front us at times less than 10 feet from the car in front while traveling at super high speed may time during pouring rain. Neither the driver or tour guide seemed to have any concern for their safety or mine. This was a very expensive tour not worth the risk, time and money.

Extremely Good Experience

It was wonderful experience to have this trip with team of Viator. The guide Putri was very professional, cooperative and knowledgeable. She was very good. Our driver was also very good and cooperative. I travelled in a private car with my wife. The tour itinerary was very nicely arranged and we got fully satisfied with all the places we visited

Great tour of Malaysia!

Great day! We saw so much in 1 day, I feel like we got a really good sample of Malaysia. Breakfast buffet at Park Inn was very good, dinner in revolving restaurant was nice. I esp enjoyed getting to experience 3 major religious places of worship - Muslim Mosque, Hindu Temple, Buddhist Temple. Shopping at Central Market was great too! I exchanged $60USD and had plenty for Tshirts, magnets etc. Elmo our guide was great - friendly and knowledgable. Our driver did a great job navigating the highways and driving for hours, safely! Highly recommend this tour!!

Expectacular

Every part of the tour was great and excellent . From the pick up from our hotel by our driver Joe our excellent tour guide Putre to all the places they brought us in nekacca and Kuala Lumpur . We love the included breakfast buffet and the dinner at the revolving KL tower restaurant and the lots of places covered we saw. It was great.

I had an absolutely wonderful time with my guide, Elmo, and our driver, Joe. The trip was long, and the climate was very hot and humid, but Elmo and Joe were especially thoughtful and attentive with regards to my comfort throughout the trip (e.g. air conditioning in the vehicle, bathroom breaks, providing water and an umbrella, wifi in the van). The tour ran very smoothly and efficiently, including border crossing. The selection of sites was just right in showcasing the highlights of Kuala Lumpur that could be seen in one day. I especially loved seeing the Batu caves and viewing the city from the Petronas towers. Joe and Elmo accommodated my interest in local food by bringing me to a delicious spot near Petaling Street for dinner, which was probably the highlight of this trip. I would absolutely recommend this experience for anyone interested in learning more about Kuala Lumpur and Malaysian history and culture(s)—it was worth every penny. One day is not enough to truly familiarize oneself with Kuala Lumpur, let alone the rest of Malaysia, but it was certainly enough to make me want to revisit. Awesome day that we will never forget

Our guide for the day was Putri and our driver was Uncle E. We cannot thank them enough for the fantastic day we all had. The great thing with a private tour is you can make changes to the itinerary throughout the day which worked really well for us. We ticked off all of the sites we wanted to see and learnt so much about Malaysia from our guide Putri. Yes, it's a long day on the road but the transport was very comfortable, clean and we always felt safe with Uncle E driving us. We would highly recommend this tour. Thankyou for a day we will never forget.

Great tour

We loved this trip!! The pick up time was the exact time that we were told, no waiting time what so ever. The ride was smooth, crossing the border was very quick. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative and very pleasant person. He took us to a lot of must see places, making sure we were comfortable at any point of the trip. At any point if we asked to make a restroom stop it was not a problem. Our tour guide catered to our every need without any problems, making this trip more pleasurable. Our tour guide knew a lot of history, gave us a lot of information about the country. The driver was very skilled, driving was smooth and pleasant. We highly recommend this trip.

Incredible Tour!

This tour is absolutely fantastic. The tour guide, Elmo, and the driver, Joe, were nice, intelligent and did a fantastic job showing me around. Both of them were flexible with the itinerary, allowing me to make some last minute changes. The car was comfortable and the food was great. This was a memorable day and I thoroughly enjoyed it - I highly recommend!

Best Tour Ever

Fantastic day in Kuala Lumpur. The travelling was 5 hours each way minimum. 1 hour to get out of Singapore, get through customs, and pick up the guide then 4 hours to Kuala Lumpur. But it's worth every minute to experience the day and everything that's included. We left at 5am and got back to the hotel at 3am. It was worth every penny. We had a blast and Joe the driver was Fantastic and the young lady who was our guide was also Fantastic (sorry I have forgotten your name) Thank you for this Fantastic experience.

Great tour of Kuala Lumpur

This was a great tour. Our tour guide named Putri was very helpful and informative. She knew where to take great pictures of all the iconic places. She was very friendly and helped explain the different religions and cultures customs.

A Holiday Highlight

Highly recommend this tour. We had a fantastic day exploring a variety of locations in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur. The spacious, air-conditioned car made travelling very comfortable. Our guide Putri and driver Joe were outstanding hosts - organised, friendly and knowledgeable. They catered for every need and shared lots of information about Malaysia and each venue we visited. We have many wonderful memories and photos to take home with us!

One of the most memorable and efficient tours ever!

My family of 7 (different ages 11-83) joined me on this special tour. It was absolutely phenomenal! Highly efficient, memorable, comfortable and informative. Our guide Elmo and our driver Antony were super attentive, aware of the needs of all of my family members and knowledgeable on the history of all the sights. The day was packed with one wow experience after another. This was one of the best tours we’ve done in a long time. All the family members are still buzzing with memories and impressions. Exceptional experience and a great value for the price. Will highly recommend to anybody, no matter the age group.

Wonderful trip!!

It was our first trip to Kuala-Lumpur, it was fantastic. Our guide Putri was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Driver and our guide planned very well covering long distance in one day and they were adjusting the plans based on our needs. Overall we had a good trip.

The Only Way You Should Do Kuala Lumpur from Singapore!!!

Our day with Amir was fantastic. Yes, in some ways this tour is brutal. It's early. It's long. But, if you want to see some of Kuala Lumpur from Singapore, this is an awesome way to do it. We were picked up on-time from our hotel in Singapore by JE Travel's driver. We were notified in advance that our driver's (Hang's) English was limited. This proved to be mild issue later. Travel through the border was a breeze and quite interesting in the way it was laid out. We picked up our guide, Amir, in Johor Bahru. Amir is a kind, elderly gentleman who was our guide for the day. Unfortunately, Amir had hurt his foot the night before and that slowed us down some, but not a huge problem. After brief introductions, Amir told us he would let us sleep for awhile since it was still dark and there was not much to see. Once we woke, Amir began to narrate the trip, giving us a history of Malaysia and the area, pointing out interesting sights and answering our questions. We had a great time at all of the stops and it was all planned out perfectly, including having a table ready for us at a busy restaurant. We were so happy that we did this trip and would encourage you to do the same. A major recommendation for you to avoid the mistake we made... Anyone traveling Singapore has to fill out their immigration, SG Arrival card prior to arriving in Singapore. When we arrived into the Singapore airport, we had filled one of these out for our week in Singapore. Leaving Singapore for our day trip to Malaysia, reset the system. Although we were approved to be in Singapore for a full week, leaving Singapore for the day (in the middle of the week) required us to fill out a new SG Arrival card. I hadn't even thought it through I guess and if I have a criticism of JE Travel, it's that they didn't remind us of that. We were instructed to bring our passports and proof of return travel. We were told that it could be a printed copy or a soft copy on your phone. We had both. On our return from Malaysia, when we arrived at Singapore immigration, we were told that we had only filled out a one day authorization form. Apparently, this was filled out by JE Travel. We were then held up for 30 minutes at the Singapore border while they (fortunately) created a new SG Arrival card for us. We made it, but it was stressful. Plus, with our driver's limited English (we had already dropped off Amir), we weren't really sure what was going on. I contacted JE Travel the next day to try to figure out what had gone wrong. The person I spoke with (owner?) was somewhat apologetic, but blamed us for filling our initial SG Arrival card out "incorrectly". As I understood the situation, I can see how we did fill it out incorrectly, since our initial card should have said we were leaving Singapore on the day we went to Malaysia. I should have then filled out a separate card to cover our reentry into Singapore after that day trip. Yes, it was my fault, but a little assistance on JE Travel's end would have been appreciated. That said, would I do it again with JE Travel? Absolutely!!!! Just learn from my mistake and it will all be Easy Peasy.

Visit to KL

Our tour guide was very helpful and said a lot of useful information about Malaysia and Singapore. Lot of delay at immigration on Saturdays. Very tiring took us from 500 am till almost 300am the next day Energy zapping.

Tour guide Elmo went above and beyond. He was very helpful, thoughtful and made sure we went cared for and safe all the time. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Kudos also to our driver. He got us to our destinations safe with ease.

Definitely recommended

Elmo and our driver, Mr. G, were very good. It was a long day with us starting at 5am and finishing at 9pm. But we would highly recommend the effort. Malaysia was very interesting to see and we felt like we were able to see a number of the highlights. If you are in Singapore and are short on time, this trip is worth doing.

Excellent Tour

Petrona twin towers bridge view was mind boggling. The over 271 steps to Batu caves was a test of strength and courage. Being in a private tour with me and my husband only was just great and wonderful. Kuala Lumpur is beautiful in spite the heat, rain was welcome. I loved the convenience of hotel pick up and drop off, staying in the car during the immigration check and the flexibility of the tour. We visit a lot of places and our guide was kind and approchable.

Awesome tour with Audis and Mr Yee

Long day started at 5-6AM ended at about 8-9 PM. But totally worth the time and money. Aulia was fantastic. Totally fun, professional, knowledgable, and enjoyable to travel with. She guided me and cared for my safety and time considerations. A total gem of a guide. Don’t worry about the early start - you’ll have about 8 hours (4 hours each way) in an air conditioned mini van to sleep in on the road. Wear or bring head coverings and a robe or long jacket - to cover up to go into the Mosque so you don’t have to wait in line for a robe. Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. And bring an umbrella for rain or sun. It will be hot and humid outside. Bring money for gratuity for the guide and the driver. Bring toilet paper for the bathrooms. The driver will be driving for more than 12 hours - and Mr Yi was great too. The whole day will give you a taste of Malaysia - plus the yummy all you can eat buffet is a surprising treat. It was one of the most “exotic” and interesting days in my travel experiences - if in doubt, I would recommend just go for it! Want to see Malaysia in a day? This is the way to go!!!

Best private tour so far!!

This was really great and memorable tour. A full day to remember indeed! A big thanks to our very nice and informative tour guide Aulia and well experienced driver Andy. The air conditioned van was so clean and comfy, Aulia was all equipped and handy for everything we needed for our tour. She’s also a very good photographer. This private tour was so worth it. They will really take care of you, take you everywhere as planned and help you make great memories. Extremely and highly recommended!!

Limited days in Singapore? Do a day trip to Malaysia.

This was a great see all tour to Malaysia from Singapore in one day. Our tour guide and driver were very patient with us. We were a (very sleepy) party of 7 but our tour guide saw that and went out of her way to make us all comfortable! In the end, this really long tour was amazing! Thank you Owlia and Antony for getting us there safely, handling the paper work for us (to get there and get back) and getting us back to Singapore safely!

Enjoyable day trip

We had a great time in our day trip in Kuala Lumpur, been to many places within the 19 hours tour. Our tour guide and driver are both friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it. 👍👍

Amazing experience

While this tour was a little pricey, you get what you pay for. Our tour guide, Aulia, and driver, "E", were absolutely awesome. We were picked up from our hotel and driven the 30 or so miles into Malaysia, where Aulia and E took over. The drive to Kuala Lumpur was about four hours, which we enjoyed, we stopped at several locations to include a mosque; however, the highlight was the Petronas Twin Towers. Mind you that this is a very long day-left at 5/5:30am and got back around 1:00am the next day, to include customs and immigration. Aulia, was great, so much so that we booked a tour to Batam, Indonesia the next day and requested that she be our guide. You'd enjoy this long, memorable day.

A Jam Packed One Dayer in Malaysia's Capital City

As others have stated in their reviews, we didn't have time to devote to a handful of days in Malaysia so we opted for this one-day excursion, essentially burning a vacation day of the Singapore part of our multi-country trip. At the end of the day, this was totally worth it. We went from place to place, hitting everything in Kuala Lumpur listed on the itinerary--and more. We were able to purchase tickets to the twin towers (separate of the tour) and went up to the observation deck on the 86th floor, taking our guide and driver with us. Dian and Andi made this more than enjoyable even though I was a little apprehensive at the beginning as we had never done a private tour life this before. Highly recommended if you want to get the most out of a single day in KL and don't have a lot of time to devote to doing the running around yourself.

Fantastic trip from SIN to KL

The whole trip was professional organized from the beginning to the end. The driver came 5 minutes before pick up time, and we have wonderful guide DIAN and driver Mr.Di, they were excellent. Dian even climb almost 300 stairs in Batu Caves with us, she is really friendly, warm and generous person. Because of them our trip to KL was perfect.
