Private Car Charter in Bali with an English-speaking Driver

Not a great experience

Driver was 35 minutes late due to road accident. Was notified only after being late. Driver showed up wearing a stained T shirt and shorts. Drivers English was hard to understand. When asked why is Monkey Forest so famous, he got upset and asked why we wanted to go repeatedly. Then said he was not a guide, not his job to answer questions. If we wanted a guide, we should have pay more. Driving was iratic, often in the middle of 2 lanes. Had to swerve into other lane to avoid hitting car in front. The company Rio did add a free hour to compensate for being late. We asked to stop at a supermarket on the way back to hotel, but was taken to Bali Collection where there is only a high end gift shop with some snacks and drinks. Maybe he did not understand what a super market is. It really could have been much better. Be warned, traffic to/from Ubud is insane. Of the 8 hours we had the car, we spent 4 in the car.

Would absolutely recommend booking a personal driver with these guys!

I cannot thank Ketut Arsana enough for driving us around all day, being patient and extremely professional. Not only was he our driver, but he kindly offered to take photos of us and gave us so much information about Bali (more so than paid tour guides). Zen and efficient driver

Made us fantastic. He is calm. On time. Caring. Wonderful and calm driving (but fast)..so very much appreciated. He is straight and honest. Super important for me too.

Flexible and personalized tours with a patient and accomodating driver

I recommend this service for those who want to customize their tours especially their daily tours. They accomodate even a small number of people and it works very well for me and my mom. We also have a few requests (since we either want to exclude some tourists sites or minimize the activities in other sites) and our driver, Wayan, was kind and accomodating enough to our requests. It was also raining during our trip and had to face traffic jam in our way home but Wayan was patient and helped us through the tour until our hotel. For private personalized tours with patient and accomodating driver, I really suggest this service! Thank you so much again.

Agung Wah best driver in Bali!

Agung Wah is the best driver in the whole of Bali! He is always on time and his English is amazing. He responds quickly and is amazing with Kids. Fantastic driver!

Wayan was a fantastic driver. He communicated with us well before the initial pickup and his car was very comfortable with great A/C. He was helpful when we asked questions about things we passed by and asked for tips on places to go. Was a generally nice and funny person to spend a car trip with!

Fabulous day!

Wonderful private car tour. We were able to set our own schedule which was perfect. The driver was amazing with so many great suggestions of things to see that we hadn’t thought about. We had a great time! Lots of photos!

Friendly and great local driver from Bali.

Ketut Arsana drove us from Kuta to Amed which took around 3 hours, he arrived on time and actually had to wait for us to check out. Great friendly local driver that you can trust. He also drove us back from Amed to Kuta. I am very happy with his service and professionalism. I hope we see him again when we're back in Bali.

Very Nice Private Hire Tour Driver

Batu was very punctual and friendly. He gave us good recommendation on where to go for our swing experience. We went to Swing Heaven and had a great time having our photos taken there. After that he took us to Ibu Oka for lunch. We enjoyed the fried pork with rice. We also took our time exploring Ubud Art Market and the Ubud Palace. Batu was most accommodating to our requests and ensured we had a fun time out.

Great experience with driver Debobo

For starters, we had not planned for the day and was just grabbing a driver then googling something to do. I was aware and under the impression that I was booking a private driver who’d just take us anywhere we’d like. Well, I was wrong. Debobo was very knowledgeable of Bali and helped choose places to visit. We learned so much about Bali and enjoyed great food at a place he chose. He’s very friendly and made us feel safe from start to finish. We loved and gained trust so much, that we decided to only book with him the remainder of the trip. Car was very clean, a/c was functioning and cool, smelled good as well. Definitely 10/10 experience and highly recommend

Rio was amazing on our trip! My cousin had booked with him 10 years ago and raved about how wonderful he was and he definitely lived up to the hype! Female Driver Recommendation

I have been coming Bali since 2013 and have used Rio and his team of drivers every time on all of my 7 trips so far. Rio is a delight to converse with and nothing is too much trouble for him to organise. On this trip, Rio was there bright and early to pick us up from the airport, having driven over an hour and a half from his home. On the day trips he had organised, the drivers he arranged were amazing, friendly and accomodating to our needs. I would specifically like to acknowledge Mia, Rio's wife, who has now joined the team. From the time she picked us up, she was so friendly and made us feel at ease with her gentle nature. Her driving was excellent and she knew exactly where to take us on our shopping trip. If you would like a female driver, I highly recommend Mia to look after you for all your trips in Bali.

Rio and his team were simply amazing. Nice cars, safe drivers and by far the best way to have a stress free tour of Bali. Putu was wonderful and we felt safe from the moment we hoped in his car and his sensible driving. We hired Rio and his team for 4 days of our holiday with Putu as our main driver except for 1 day. Booking my trip with the Rio Tour was the best decision I’ve made for this trip. Wayan was a very friendly driver/friend who took beautiful photos of us and helped us bargain at the local shops for the best deals 🤣 so we asked to have him tomorrow again with us. Pick ups drop offs and organised tours

Rio was amazing so accomodating would definitely recommend. He organised to pick us up and a van so we could all be together for the day. He organised all our tours.

Budi - Friendly and helpful English speaking Driver

Budi our driver was very friendly and helpful and drove us wherever we wanted. Budi was our driver for two days. The first day to Uluwatu from Nusa Dua (6 hours) and the second day to Kuta from Nusa Dua (10 hours) while we visited Waterbom Park. We loved meeting Budi and would recommend him as a driver.

Amazing Day in Bali

Our driver Putu was amazing, he took us to the Emple Temple, Rice Terrace and Monkey forest. He also took amazing photos for us and showed us around. He was very knowledgeable about every site that we visited. Putu deserves a 200% raise and compensation for his photographic skills.

Excellent experience in Bali. Rio was very helpful even before our arrival in crafting a private tour that was exactly what our group of 10 wanted. He was always exactly where he said he would be, and arrived early at all times. His English is excellent and his narration and answering of questions added to our experience. We would give more than 5 stars if we could.

Couples Sight Seeing

Reddog wonderful and sooo patient!! A lot of knowledge about the tours and took us to some places with amazing views where we were able to take beautiful photos. Definitely will be using Reddog next time in Bali.

Rio Bali Tours is run by Rio. Great guy, excellent English and extremely helpful. Expertly drove us through the congestion up to our accommodation in Munduk with pre arranged stops on the way. A local with plenty of answers to our questions along the journey and all in a roomy air conditioned van. I recommend Rio for tours or transfers as the process is easy and smooth and enjoyable.
