Great Guide but attractions were too crowded to enter. We attempted to enter the church but couldn't get through the towns.

Beautiful Santorini

Santorini is beautiful and our guide Elena and driver were excellent. We saw the blue domed churches and the amazing views from the top of the island. The tour took us to the black sand beach where we had an amazing lunch. It was very hot and our guide made sure we were hydrated and did not stay in the heat for long periods of time. I highly recommend this experience.

Private tour instead of a group tour

They turned what could have been a bad experience into a good one. The cruise port was crowded with 4 cruise ships. Our tender getting off of our ship was therefore long and painful (just a note that this seems to not be unusual for Santorini--they are close to killing the golden goose by making a very beautiful place too painful to enjoy because it is very hard to get too and overrun with way too many people once you are on the island.) We missed the 300 PM start time of our tour because we didn't get to shore until 330 PM. By the time we walked to the top of the cable car (we chose to walk because the cable car line was really long and we figured it would be quicker to walk--it was 20-25 minutes in the hot sun up the 650 foot vertical gain. Don't do it if you are not in shape. You could also ride a donkey for 10 Euro per person) it was almost 400 pm. We had called the tour operator early to let them know we would be late. They understood and gave my wife and I a private tour rather than group tour that we had booked--much more than we were expecting.

Fabulous Santorini

We have spent 5 weeks in Greece and Croatia and this was by far our favorite tour. Our tour guide Betty made the trip so enjoyable. She brought Santorini to life for us. We had a fabulous day.

Great tour guide

Betty was a fabulous local guide. She was very very knowledgeable Santorini is beautiful island but the tourist numbers are huge

Very Impressed with Karavas Tours

Our guide Betty was amazing and very knowledgeable. We took many beautiful photos. I was VERY impressed with Karavas tours and how smooth their operation was. After our tour ended, Karavas arranged for another car for us to go the Black Sand Beach. My husband accidently forgot a sovenir Tshirt he bought in the transfer car from the original tour. We called them on the way to the beach and said we left the shirt in the other car, they found it and kindly brought it to their office by the Gandola Lift. We got to stop by their office on our way back to the ship and picked it up. Great level of service and very comfortable ride. Also the little bar "Booze room" our group met in, after our free time had VERY good drinks made by Panos, he is a magician bartender.

Great tour of Santorini

This was a great tour on a hot day. Elena did a great job explaining everything to us and showing us the island of Santorini. Best excursion we have had on our cruise so far!

So Much To See

Santorini is BEAUTIFUL. The tour was fantastic. We were jumping on an off of a mini-bus which isn't my preferred mode of transportation but allowed us to see a lot during the 3-hours we were with the guides. Our guide was super sweet and showed us some of the most special places on the island. I would totally recommend this company for anyone who wants to cover a lot of ground in a little bit of time.

Unorganized

This tour was scheduled for 2:00. It was a 3 hr tour. The tour guide was waiting for us in the designated spot. However we stood around in chaos for another hour. We finally started our tour at 3:30. The guide mixed up people from 3 hr your and people from 5 hour tour. This would make some people LATE to get back for cable car to make it to their ships. 🚢 we had to ask to get off the bus so we would not miss the last tender back to ship.

Great Tour June 2024

Thomas was kind considerate and courteous. There were so many things about the tour that I could name; however, Dana was very patience to allow time for us to get through the line for the cable car. Thomas gave us a thorough history of Santorini. We really appreciated the entire tour experience.

Beautiful

Best excursion ever!

This was a great experience! The tour guide, George, was awesome, super knowledgeable, and funny! The van took us to some of the best photo places and even stopped at places not included! It was such an amazing experience and I definitely recommend.

Good day on Santorini but needed more time to see more.

We booked a private tour, great guide who took us to the most popular tourist spots but the crowds were so intense so we hired a private driver to go to Black beach, a great experience I’d really recommend. Had a delicious seafood dinner at Triana cafe, VERY good!

Go to Oia

Oia was really nice. All of Santorini was. Our driver/guide was great. Long line for the cable car back down so we walked. A bit slippery but fun.

Brilliant

Elena was amazing, so knowledgable, transport was lovely. Locations were perfect, nothing was rushed. Beautiful scenery and even food recommendations.

A must do while in Santorini!!

The staff was amazing. So cordial and welcoming. Constantly asking what they can do for us. Besides the beauty of being in the Aegean Sea the food was fabulous. I can’t believe it was cooked while we were enjoying the beauty of Santorini!!

A must for cruisers!

Amazing tour, especially for cruisers with limited time. Our guide George was very nice, funny, informative, attentive and helpful. The tour was a great selection of all the nicest spots in Santorini. George offered to take many photos for our family. We had such a fun and relaxing time on the tour. This is a must do!

Not worth the hype

Saw Oia and had some photo opportunities. This was supposed to be a 4 hour tour. We were given an 1 1/2 hr tour with the rest free time to explore. I didn’t need the tour operator to get us there.

Spectacular Santorini

The tour guide was very friendly and accommodating. She made the tour interesting with her knowledge of the sites. Would definitely recommend this tour for all!!

Beautiful island tour

Views fabulous. Janis was well organised, knowledgeable and a good host. Trip to beach unnecessary for short stop. Everything else was great. Not the fault of tour but we had precarious walk down cliff zig zag as queue at cable car hideous. Santorini must sort this bottleneck with the number of cruise ships.

Excellent Tour

Our guide GINA was fantastic. Loud enough to hear, very informative. It was very obvious that she loves her country and wanted everyone to enjoy it too. She was great. I would highly recommend this tour. We saw a lot and had wonderful photo ops.

Excellent! I have rarely found such kind, helpful and hospitable people. They followed me right from the booking stage, ready to answer any doubts. Unfortunately, for reasons beyond my control, I was more than half an hour late compared to the start time of the tour. I was greeted with a huge smile and total tranquility. Dina was kind enough to reschedule my tour so that I could visit all the places originally planned on the itinerary. The visit was beautiful. Considering we booked a three hour tour I think we made good use of our time. The guide spoke perfect English and gave us lots of historical, cultural and scientific information about the island. It was really very interesting. Thank you for everything, and above all for your welcome!❤️

Cable car chaos

The queues for the cable car were unacceptable- we had to take the steps down to shore to avoid missing our ship. Our tour with our driver was excellent but the cable car spoiled our experience

Afternoon in Santorini

Gina provided a fun and informative tour of Santorini with stops in three cities, in a field of grapevines, and a Greek language lesson with flashcards on the ride back to the cruise port.

Disappointed

Very hard to give a rating since we missed out tour due to the tenders and the cable car lines. Needless to say we were disappointed that we could not partake.

What an amazing island!

We were a group of 13 people and booked a private tour and really enjoyed it. Our Guide and driver, Isi & Dimitri, were extremely funny and knowledgeable duo. I would give this tour 10/10 and recommend it to all. I can't wait to come back and stay in Santorini for couple of days :)

Beautiful Santorini

The tour guide and driver were great. However our tour left an hour late while we waited for people from another ship. The operator knew they would be an hour later than the scheduled time. This was very inconvenient for those of us who had to wait. As a result we were concerned about returning to our ship on time.

Santorini, Greece Tour

Gina was a wonderful tour guide! Very engaging and knowledgeable about the island. She made everyone on the tour feel valued and made sure we were all comfortable! Both her and the driver were very funny and made us quite relaxed! It was a wonderful experience.

Not to be missed

Booked a small group tour, and ended up with a private tour with our driver and guide Giannis. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all of the amazing sights of Santorini, took pictures for us and all in all it was an amazing tour. Would thoroughly recommend anyone to book with these guys. The other staff were also wonderful upon greeting us and the host Dina was awesome.

Santorini, a dream comes true

Love the blue sky and the blue shade tour! It gives unforgettable memory . Bring your loved ones and they will appreciate the lovely moment in Santorini. Among the most beautiful beach in the world.

Good value and made interesting

Met us coming off the cable car. Explained what was happening and ware we had to go. 5 minutes to the office, double checked everyone was there and away to go. Gina was our guide superb very cheerful and informative made the tour a pleasure.

Great 3 hour scenic tour of Santorini

Joanna did a great job in sharing the history and highlights of Santorini. Due to five ships being in port we reversed order we saw the sights to avoid the crowds In the popular areas Oia and Fidostefani The scenery and overlook areas were fantastic

A Small Van for Big Group

We met at our meeting place with the group and then all of a sudden that said, that asked us to go with one person and the group went with another guide. We were confused as to rather we were on the tour we booked. We walked a long way, up hills to meet a passenger van that was full. Only seats available were seats in the very back, which really has no window to see anything on tour. No way to take any pictures. The tour should only take 10 people max. We were confused as to rather we were on the tour we booked. Tour went to see the blue dome church. we never got to the front of the church. only could see from top, guide said it was too crowded to go down to see the church itself. He took those that wanted to hike to castle. We had a time to walk and look around, then went slowly back to the meeting point to wait for group on hike. Description of the tour, never said anything about a hike out to a castle.

Good tour with potentially difficult start

The tour itself was enjoyable. However there needs to be more information about the potential difficulties of getting to the top of the port entry. We were on one of several cruise ships in port so taking the cable car and getting to our tour on time was not possible. We had to walk the 600 steps up the hill.

Amazing place! Beautiful and clean. Hard to believe it was formed from a volcanic eruption.

If you want adventure hike the trail up the cliff to Santorini. Meeting the guide at the top was easy and stress free. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Santorini private half day tour

Had an amazing half day trip with Dimitri and his colleague. They were informative, humorous, courteous and extremely professional. We saw all the main sites and stopped along the way for several photos. We only speak English and their command of the English language was very very good. Inside joke that they may appreciate when reading “2 weeks out of the year” and black bear. Derek/Debbie

Step from Hell

The tour was wonderful. The logistics of getting 4 cruise ships onto the port was a disaster. Long lines to get on cable carts so the only option was to walk 500+ steps to the top on a steep hill. Coming down was easier but many people fell due lots of mule manure covering the road from mules being used to transport people if the hill. Beautiful location but not worth the stop on a cruise line.

A little bit more than touristy

Loved the opportunity to see more parts of the island than just the tourist spots. Tour guide was very engaging.

Wonderful tour

Joanna and Philip were great. Took us to all most beautiful spots to take pictures and Joanna gave us a lot of interesting facts about the island. One thing I want to mention if you're taking this tour during your cruise stop. The line to take a cable cart to go up will be huge both ways. We didn't want to wait for an hour or more in the line and took dunkeys instead of walking up. On return we just walked. That saved us a lot of time but make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the steps are slippery and donkeys' poop is everywhere.

Excellent excursion to Oiya

Oiya, a beautiful village, with its idealic location and views. Our guide Yanos was an excellent guide and we enjoyed this excursion very much.

Perfect tour

Our tour guide was amazing !! Excellent historian combined with a wonderful sense of humor which had our group of 11 family and friends attention the entire time. So sorry I did not remember her name

Stunning Santorini

Helena was a great guide. Showed us many views we could never see from the big buses the cruise ships run. Lunch was excellent at a beach restaurant. We loved this tour and highly recommend.
