Meh… should have booked a different company

I booked this since it was a little cheaper for our family of four. We had a great ride over with cushioned seats, but then no good. They were stingy with the drinks and didn’t come serve you except for one time. It said chicken and “shrimps” but there was literally ONE shrimp for each person. We were parked chilling for sunset and wanted to swim after dinner, but for some reason they told us no, we had to stay on the boat- why?! When we went snorkeling, the masks and snorkels were broken, so my son had one and my husband and I did not. There were supposed to be 14 people max, but they had 19, so maybe that was why?! The crew was not super friendly or nice, which is so weird. I have been on catamaran tours in Mexico, New Zealand, and now Greece, but this, again, was not my favorite. You get what you pay for I guess. Wish I had spent a little more for a nicer experience,

I am sorry it’s taken me 2 weeks to write this review, but we are just now back from our trip. We were in Santorini as a cruise port sailing odyssey of the seas last week of may. I did lots of research before deciding on a cruise vs seeing the town. I made a great choice, even if I do say so myself. lol We did have to manage the cable car and they got us a ride to Oia bc that was the only place the catamaran could sail out of. However! Because we were a small group and all of us from Odyssey, Irene was able to make it happen so we were dropped back off at our tender port. Our crew was the best! Valentino took us to private mooring spots away from the crowds of other boats. It was amazing! They cooked for us on board and the food was delicious! And listen, I’m from Florida and sunsets are a dime a dozen, so I wasn’t expecting to be so blown away by that Santorini sunset, but I WAS!!! Please pleased give this a try. Zero regrets! ❤️❤️

Underwhelming and expensive

Swimming near the volcano. We had a quiet spot to ourselves away from other boats. Got to feel hot and cold water currents and sulphur therapeutic effect.

Stunning food scenery and company

Thankyou to a fantastic team for a memorable trip. Everything was fantastic, from the authentic Greek food, the wonderful hospitality of the Crewe on board, great communication from Irene and the stunning scenery and sunset. Worth it all. Also took us back to tender port for cruise ship. Thankyou!

Cruise

I had the most amazing experience. I booked this cruise for my birthday and It was the best decision I made. The atmosphere and vibes were great, the food was amazing too! Valentino the captain made the experience 100% worth it. My phone is full of amazing photos from this cruise!! Definitely recommend when visiting Santorini!

Amazing experience

Everything exceeds our expectations, it was like living a dream, a dream that Ippokampos cruise made possible. Very helpful and friendly crew members, and the wonderful ( Irene) that made our trip to Greece one to remember. A lifetime experience to see the wonderful sunset in the Mediterranean Sea.

Sunset cruise

We were picked up from the hotel and met at the port by Irene who showed us to the catamaran. From the moment we stepped aboard we were treated wonderfully by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Swimming in the warm volcanic springs was amazing! Food great and the highlight watching the beautiful sunset. Could not recommend this experience enough!!

Amazing time !

Did the sunset cruise today and it was amazing ! The crew was very kind, nice and fun. Good music that wasn't too loud, just enough to get a good ambiance. The food was great and had a nice variety of things, generous portions. The itinerary was nice and we didnt feel rush at all even though the first stop wasnt that long. We were blessed with amazing temperature even though we are in october, the water was cold to get into but was really good after a few minutes. Absolutely recommand, I think this is a must in Santorini and worth every penny ! Pick up from and to our hotel was appreciated and on time.

Fully recommended for a relaxing morning or afternoon cruise

A very chilled afternoon with a lovely attentive crew and a good bunch of fellow passengers. We spoke to 3 companies along the beachfront in Kamari, where we were staying, about a boat trip experience. Irene caught our attention on the way back towards our hotel. I'm usually a little wary of going for anything pitched by someone on the road rather than in an office, but I felt comfortable with Irene, mainly because she didn't ask for any upfront payment which showed a great deal of trust on her part considering some people could just not turn up on the day and their fee is lost. The deal was a discounted 100 euros each for a shared taxi from our hotel to the port, the boat trip which was around 4 hours including a openwater view of the sunset, swimming stops, snorkeling gear, unlimited drinks and a freshly cooked meal of pasta, chicken, seafood and salad. The trip was shared with 3 other couples who turned out to be great company and we all got on well. So there were 8 of us along with 3 crew. Considering one of the other trips on offer from a different company was 150 euros, up to 50 people and only the first drink free, I'd say this was brilliant value. They accept cash or card at the port before you board. They just added 3 euros for the card transaction which is fair enough. The crew were very friendly and obliging, and the sailor would give brief history and information at a few points along the route. Would recommend these guys if you're looking for a relaxing boat trip while in Santorini.

Best Boating experience in Greece

Without a doubt the greatest catamaran experience in all of Greece. The luxury, hospitality and professionalism is beyond what words can explain. The 2 Captaind Valentino and Nikolas had the greatest customer service I had in Greece and they accommodate whatever we needed. TAKE THIS EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Most memorable experience ever!

This was the best sunset cruise I’ve ever been on! Valentino and Nicolas literally saved the day when our other boat cancelled on us. They were informative, gracious, and so polite. The boat felt safe and it was spotless (so clean). Both the gentleman were really professional and not only made our sailing experience unforgettable, they made it so much fun! I would highly recommend this company, these two sailors and the perfect catamaran tour they took us on!

The best experience of my life. We went with 3 couples and had the most amazing time. Valentino and Nicholas were so welcoming and nice, they catered to our every need and were making sure we were having fun at all times. Definitely recommend.

Best Experience in Santorini!!

Stop everything you are doing and book with Ippokampos!!! This was literally the best catamaran ever with the best crew. Valentino and Nikolas were the friendliest most welcoming people that made our trip! We had booked a previous experience that ended up being a fishing boat for 150 euros!! The crew saw us in distress and helped us out and saved our final day in Santorini. thank you guys one of the best days of my life!!!

Fantastic way to see the Sunset worth the expense

Although quite an expense was a lovely trip and a great way of seeing many of the needs to see things to see in Santorini and see the spectacular sunset from the catamaran .Crew were fantastic and helpful unlimited drinks and super greek cuisine from the little galley.Well worth doing.

From start to finish, we were catered to with world-renowned Greek hospitality. First, an air conditioned shuttle brought us to Vlychada, the incredibly charming port, where our friendly tour manager, Irini, was waiting to ensure we’d have everything for our trip. Then, once on the boat, we were again catered to by the capable captain, sailor, and hostess. The crew was efficient and professional, but moreover, an absolute joy. Long ago and recent history were retold along with explanations of geological events and formations in an informative and hilarious way. Safety and entertainment were top of mind for them, which made the experience all that more enjoyable. And while I began to experience motion sickness pretty early on, the caring crew did everything to assuage my symptoms. I was grateful for their attentiveness and caring nature! The remarkable views, terrific staff, and excellent co-guests, who quickly became friends, made the experience unforgettable. 15/10.

Remarkable

What an amazing time . Booked with the lovely Irene when she was at Kamari. Transfers were on time and all information including safety was provided making you feel really safe. The cruise on the Amazona was truly wonderful .. better than I could have ever hoped for. The crew Nick Valentino and Alexander were superb ensuring everyone was looked after and having a great time. The barbecue was fantastic and they made me an individual salad due to my allergy, The talks were really interesting giving a good insight into the history of Santorini. The trip has been the highlight of our holiday without a doubt, Thank you to all at Ippokampos Sailing.. we will return .
